Harold F. Consentine
PORTSMOUTH - Harold F. Consentine, 63, of 444B Pleasant St., passed away Friday, Nov. 23, 2001, at Portsmouth Regional hospital.
He was born in Saugus, Mass., Dec. 5, 1937, the son of the late Felix and Clara (Haushalte) Consentine.
Mr. Consentine was self-employed in the security business for several local businesses.
Survivors include his former wife, Patricia (Scheinder) Consentine; his children, DeDe Estes and her husband Wayne of Portsmouth, Butch Consentine of Brownfield, Maine, Terry Poole of Rochester, Cara Hyde and her husband Bruce of Portsmouth, Kristen Valdez and her husband Ramone of Dover, Lindsay Consentine of Portsmouth, Lisa Consentine of Dover and Denise Louque and her husband Lenny of Louisiana; eight grandchildren; three siblings, Paul Consentine of Maryland, Mariam Baressi of California, and Albert Consentine of Nevada; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Fred M. Seales
PORTSMOUTH - Fred M. Seales Jr., 75, of 34 Beechstone, passed away on Thursday, Nov. 22, 2001, at Portsmouth Regional Hospital.
He was born in Drumright, Okla., Jan. 15, 1926, the son of the late Fred M., Sr., and Thelma (Gillian) Seales.
Mr. Seales was a graduate of Deering High School in Portland, Maine, and attended the University of Maine in Orono.
He served in the U.S. Army Air Force at the rank of staff sergeant during World War II, serving in Italy.
Prior to his retirement in 1977, Mr. Seales was employed as a regional salesman for Eastman Kodak.
Survivors include his daughter, Jennifer Lehman; granddaughter, Brittany Lehman; and his former wife, Beatrice Seales, all of Portsmouth.
Danielle E. Townsend
HAMPTON - Danielle Elizabeth Townsend, age 5, daughter of Terrence R. and Denise L. (Paquette) Townsend, of 463 Winnacunnet Road, Apt. 210, died Thursday, Nov. 22, 2001, at the Exeter Hospital after a long illness.
She was born in Nashua on Feb. 12, 1996, and had resided for most of her life in Hampton where she was a member of the Center School kindergarten class.
In addition to her parents, family members include her maternal grandmother, Louise Paquette of Chelmsford, Mass.; her paternal grandparents, Olga Townsend of London, England, and Frederick T. Townsend of Clacton, England; and several aunts, uncles and cousins.
TOWNSEND - Danielle Elizabeth Townsend of 463 Winnacunnet Road, Hampton, died Thursday, Nov. 22, 2001. Services will be held Monday at 1 p.m. at Bethany Church, 500 Breakfast Hill Road, Greenland. Burial will follow in the High Street Cemetery, Hampton. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited. If desired, donations may be made to David's House, P.O. Sylvia Parker
KITTERY, Maine - Mrs. Sylvia Parker, 74, of Kittery, died Wednesday, Nov. 21, 2001, at York Hospital.
Mrs. Parker was born July 11, 1927, in Melrose, Mass., the daughter of Carroll and Margaret (Ring) Lank. She attended local schools in Massachusetts.
In 1950, she married Charles Parker in Salem, N.H. For the past 20 years, she and her family have lived in the Kittery area.
Mrs. Parker loved to read. Also, according to family members, she was an accomplished artist, and loved growing plants and flowers. She was a wonderful cook and, over the years, she loved to dance.
She was predeceased by a brother, Carroll B. Lank Jr.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by her son, Frank W. Parker of California; a daughter, Mrs. Elaine Adams of Kittery Point; and a stepson, Michael C. Parker of San Jose, Calif.; her cherished granddaughter, Michelle of Tucson, Ariz.; and her very special grandsons, Christopher Smith of Portland, Andrew Smith and Brandon C. Adams, both of Kittery Point; and several nieces and nephews.
Frederick J. Donovan
HAMPTON - Frederick J. Donovan, 85, of 20 Langdale Drive, died Friday, Nov. 23, 2001, at the Exeter Hospital.
He was born Oct. 13, 1916, in Lawrence, Mass., the son of the late Joseph A. and H. Irene (Schaake) Donovan.
He was a graduate of Lawrence High School and Holy Cross College in Worcester, Mass. He lived for many years in Wakefield, Mass., and was active in St. Joseph's Church in the Holy Name Society and the Knights of Columbus.
He was the assistant regional director of the General Services Administration of the federal government for many years. He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II.
He was the husband of Geraldine T. (Wallace) Donovan for 58 years.
In addition to his wife, survivors include one son, Richard F. Donovan of Hampton; two daughters, Sharon T. Donovan of Newburyport, Mass., and Geraldine T. Fitzpatrick of Florida; two grandchildren, Michael Fitzpatrick and Gregory Fitzpatrick, both of Florida; two sisters, Margaret Duggan of New York and Irene Cunningham of Rye; one niece and several nephews.
DONOVAN - Frederick J. Donovan of 20 Langdale Drive, Hampton, died Nov. 23, 2001. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Our Lady of the Miraculous Medal Church, 289 Lafayette Road, Hampton. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited and may call from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Monday at the Remick & Gendron Funeral Home-Crematory, 811 Lafayette Road, Hampton. Patricia A. Lipoma
KITTERY, Maine - Patricia Anne Lipoma, 66, of Haley Road, died Thursday, Nov. 22, 2001, at her home.
Born May 10, 1935, in Watertown, Mass., she was a daughter of Martin and Mary (Ready) Finn. She attended local schools and community college in Massachusetts.
Before moving to Kittery in 1974, she and her family were stationed in Rome, N.Y., and at Pease Air Force Base in New Hampshire. She was a communicant of St. Raphael Parish in Kittery.
Survivors include her daughters and sons-in-law, Cheryl and Scott Thibodeau of Waldorf, Md., and Marianne and Renee Alaniz of Ramstein, Germany; her son, Mark J. Lipoma of Portsmouth, N.H.; two sisters, Claire Kirwin and Janet Loprete; and three brothers, Robert Finn, Jack Finn and the Rev. Father James Finn.
LIPOMA - Patricia A. Lipoma, 66, of Haley Road, Kittery, Maine, died Nov. 22, 2001, at her home. A memorial service will be celebrated at 3 p.m. on Thursday, Nov. 29, at the J.S. Pelkey Funeral Home, 125 Old Post Road, Kittery, ME 03904. The Rev. Father Real Nadeau of St. Raphael Parish will officiate. Arrangements are entrusted to the J.S. Pelkey Funeral Home.
Maude C. Smith
RYE - Maude Cruse Smith, of 795 Washington Road, died Saturday, Nov. 24, 2001, at the Portsmouth Regional Hospital.
She was born May 28, 1905, in Rosefield, La., daughter of Franklin and Mattie Cruse. She resided most of her life in Monroe, La., before moving to Rye in May 2001. For many years she worked in retail sales before her retirement.
Survivors include a daughter, Joycelyn Caulfield of Rye Beach; granddaughter, Sonnie Drew of Eliot, Maine; grandson, Bill Rocha of Houston, Texas; seven great-grandchildren, Carrie Moskevich of Hampton, Stacy Dobos-Bubno of Oceanside, Calif., Kristin, Christopher and Caulfield Rocha of Elkin, N.C., and Jenna and Cassie Rocha of Houston; three great-great-grandchildren, Ryan Moskevich, Chaisen and Camryn Dobos-Bubno; and a sister, Lynella Scarf of Monroe, La.
Funeral services will be held in Monroe.
Peter Nowik
PORTSMOUTH - Memorial services for Maj. Peter Nowik, USAF (Ret.), 87, of 575 Ocean Road, were held from the J. Verne Wood Funeral Home-Buckminster Chapel, Portsmouth, on Saturday, with graveside services at Harmony Grove Cemetery, Portsmouth. Mr. Graham Alvord officiated.
Words of remembrance were given by Maj. Nowik's daughter, Wanda Nowik.
Juliette B. Tewksbury
DOVER - The funeral for Juliette B. Tewksbury, 86, of Dover, was held Saturday from the Remick & Gendron Funeral Home-Crematory, Hampton. Graveside services were held in the Greenwood Cemetery, Stratham. The Rev. Jamie Moynihan, pastor of the Exeter Baptist Church, officiated.
Corrine S. Wiesman
BRENTWOOD - Corrine S. Wiesman, 82, formerly of Exeter, died Wednesday, Nov. 21, 2001, at the Rockingham County Nursing Home.
She was born in Clinton, Mass., on Oct. 7, 1919, the daughter of the late Edwin and Hazel (Gaudes) Strunz.
She lived in Clinton, Mass., for many years and graduated from Clinton High School and Becker Junior College in Boston, Mass. She was a former member of the Worcester Country Club and was active in the Good Shepherd Church while living in Clinton. She had lived in Exeter since 1977.
She was predeceased by her husband, James H. Wiesman, and a grandson, Jamie Wiesman.
Family members include one son, James E. Wiesman, and his wife, Elaine, of Brentwood; and her three grandchildren, including Heather Wiesman and Scott Wiesman, both of Brentwood.
WIESMAN - Corrine S. Wiesman, formerly of Exeter, died Wednesday, Nov. 21, 2001. Services will be held at 1 p.m. on Thursday at the Christ Episcopal Church, 43 Pine St., Exeter. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited. The family requests there be no visiting hours and that flowers please be omitted. James A. McIntyre
WATERVILLE VALLEY - James A. McIntyre, 74, formerly of Deerfield, died Nov. 19, 2001, at the Elliot Hospital in Manchester after a lengthy battle with lung disease. Born in Norwood, Mass., on Oct. 10, 1927, he lived most of his life in Deerfield but recently moved to Waterville Valley. He graduated from LaSalle Academy in New York City in 1945 and was accepted as a Navy V-5 student attending Tufts College for two years of engineering studies prior to Navy flight training at NAS Pensacola, Fla. He subsequently flew with the Pacific Fleet and then returned to Columbia University to earn his degree.
Hired by Pan American World Airways in early 1952, he flew to Africa, South America and the Caribbean. He then joined TWA and flew U.S. domestic and international routes before retiring as a Boeing 747 captain in 1987. During this time he remained affiliated with the Naval Air Reserve and was called to active duty with the U.S. Navy in late 1961 for three years. He flew with the Fleet Tactical Support Squadron assigned to the Pacific Fleet and afterward rejoined the reserves. He retired as a Navy captain.
He was very active in air safety work throughout his career. Awarded the Air Line Pilot Association Air Safety award in 1985, he continued his air safety efforts in retirement. He was president of the U.S. Society of Air Safety Investigators (ISASI) and chaired the ISASI Human Factors Working Group.
In 1999 he was presented the prestigious Jerome P. Lederer Award in front of 130 delegates from 35 nations for his lifetime devotion to aviation.
He served as town moderator in Deerfield for 18 years and was the director of the Deerfield Fair Publicity Department for over a quarter of a century.
He was predeceased by his brother John.
Family members include his wife, Anna, of 48 years; a daughter, Mary Ames of Lebanon; three sons, James of Park City, Utah, Jeffrey of Grafton, and Christopher of Moultonboro; a brother, Harry of Reseda, Calif.; nine grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
McINTYRE - James A. McIntyre, 74, of Waterville Valley, formerly of Deerfield, died Nov. 19, 2001. There will be no calling hours. A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. on Dec. 8, 2001, at the Waterville Valley Conference Center. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Waterville Valley BBTS Ski Educational Foundation, Box 277, Waterville Valley, NH 03215. John Faro
HAMPTON - Domenic John Faro, 72, died Saturday, Nov. 24, 2001, at Exeter Hospital.
He was born and educated in Lawrence, Mass., and graduated from Lawrence High School. He also graduated from the New York School of Interior Design in New York, N.Y. He enjoyed reading, traveling and collecting antiques.
He worked for many years, until his retirement, as an interior design consultant at the Cabot House in Portsmouth, Paynes in Boston, Ethan Allen in Saugus, Mass., and Berthol-Sterns in Boston.
He is survived by brothers Charles S. Faro of Hampton and Joseph E. Faro of Amesbury, Mass.; nephews Charles T. Faro and his wife, Nancy, and David J. Faro of Haverhill, Mass.; and niece Laurine A. Faro of Amesbury.

Kenneth H Sullivan
YORK HARBOR, Maine - Kenneth Hayes Sullivan, 50, of Starboard Lane, died Saturday, Nov. 24, 2001, at York Hospital from injuries received in an automobile accident.
He was born in Boston, Mass., on Nov. 18, 1951, a son of Edward D. and Helen (Hynes) Sullivan. He graduated from Pittsfield High School in 1969 with high honors. He received his bachelor's degree in 1973 and a Master of Science degree in management engineering in 1974 from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in Troy, N.Y. He was a Baker Scholar and received a Master of Business Administration from Harvard Business School in 1976.
He began his career as a financial investor as a securities trader with E.F. Hutton in New York City, where he worked until 1984. He then became a senior vice president banker for Drexel-Burnham-Lambert Co. in New York City. He also worked as an investment banker for Republic National Bank. In 1990 he started his own company, Mercadian Capital Corp., and was the CEO of the Pinicipia Corporation, with offices in Jersey City, N.J., and London.
In 1998, he and his family moved to York Harbor to fulfill a lifelong dream of building a golf course. He was a partner in The Ledges Golf Course in York and the recently opened Fox Ridge Golf Club in Auburn, Maine. He continued to pursue his interests as a securities investor.
He was a communicant of St. Christopher Church in York. While in high school he was on the wrestling team and was an all-state member and captain of the high school golf team. He was president of the Sigma Chi fraternity while at Rensselaer. He was on the board of trustees at the Wardlaw Hardridge School, where his children had gone, and was very active in the sports program. He enjoyed working with children and was an assistant coach for many different sports in Westfield, N.J., where he had resided for 20 years. He was an assistant for the wrestling team at York High School. He loved all outdoor activities and ran in many marathons and Iron Man competitions. He enjoyed playing golf whenever possible.
His mother predeceased him.
Survivors include his wife, whom he married on Aug. 31, 1974, Sharon E. (Tyska) Sullivan of York Harbor; three sons: Nolan E. Sullivan, Nicholas T. Sullivan and Kyle H. Sullivan, all of York Harbor; his father, Edward D. Sullivan of Hanover, N.H.; brothers Gregory Sullivan of Salem, N.H., and Theodore Sullivan of Simi Valley, Calif.; sisters Janet Sullivan of Orleans, Mass., and Rebecca Fawcett of Hanover, N.H.; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
SULLIVAN - Kenneth H. Sullivan of Starboard Lane, York Harbor, Maine, died Saturday, Nov. 24, 2001, at York Hospital. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 28, 2001, in St. Christopher Church, York Street, York. Interment will be in First Parish Cemetery, York. Danielle E. Townsend
HAMPTON - The funeral for Danielle Elizabeth Townsend, age 5, of 463 Winnacunnet Road, was held Monday from the Remick & Gendron Funeral Home-Crematory. Services were conducted in the Bethany Church, Greenland. The Rev. Fred Cheney officiated. Barbara Flocco was organist, and Karen Cameron was soloist. Words of remembrance were offered by family and friends. Burial followed in the High Street Cemetery, with the committal service conducted by the Rev. Cheney.
