Melissa 'Missy' J. Lozier
EVERETT, MASS. - Melissa “Missy” J. Lozier, age 37, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, February 7, 2007 at her home in Everett.
She was born in Berlin on April 18, 1969, a daughter of Paul and Jeannette (Robichaud) Lozier. She attended Berlin Regional Catholic School, and was a 1987 graduate of Berlin High School. After graduating high school, Missy attained a Bachelor of Science Degree in Physical Therapy from Northeastern University’s Bouvee College.
Upon her graduation from college, Melissa relocated to Massachusetts, and had worked as a physical therapist the last 14 years for North Suburban Orthopedics. She was an advocate of continuing education, and had most recently completed the Landmark Forum Program. She was so significantly impacted by this experience that several of her coworkers also completed the program. Her love was for her family and friends, coworkers and patients. She was very shy, but gave of herself unconditionally to all she knew.
Melissa enjoyed playing tennis and was an avid reader. She loved the Arts, and her most favorite pastime was sitting by the ocean. She was an amateur photographer and was intrigued by genealogy. Most recently, Missy had decided to become a Habitat for Humanity volunteer. She will be sadly missed by all who knew her.
Melissa is survived by her parents, as well as by her sister ,Stacia Lozier, all of Berlin. Additionally, she leaves behind several aunts, uncles and cousins and many, many friends.
She was preceded in death by an infant sister, Debbie.
Friends and relatives may call on the family on Sunday, February 11, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9:30 p.m. and on Monday, February 12, from 9 to 10:30 a.m. at the Fleury-Patry Funeral Home, 72 High Street in Berlin, using the School Street entrance.
A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Monday, February 12, at 11 a.m. at St. Anne Church of Good Shepherd Parish, 345 Pleasant Street in Berlin, with Fr. Jason Jalbert officiating.
Interment will immediately follow the services in Mt. Calvary Cemetery, Cates Hill in Berlin.
In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting donations in Missy’s memory be made to the Habitat for Humanity, 121 Habitat Street, Americus, GA, 31709.
Germaine D. Dupuis
BERLIN -- A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated for Germaine D. (Gagne) Dupuis of Berlin on Saturday, March 24, 2007 at St. Anne Church of Good Shepherd Parish with Father Marcel Martel as celebrant. The cantor was Rosemary Johnson, accompanied by Travis Catello as musician.
The pall was placed by her daughter and son-in-law, Jackie and Bob Catello. Jackie also placed the cross. The readings were done by her niece, Jackie Gagne. The offertory gifts were presented by Fred Bourassa and Ron Deyette. A eulogy was given by Jackie Gagne, a family friend and niece.
Interment followed the services in St Kieran Cemetery.
Serving as pallbearers were Leo Gagne, Roland Dube, Roger Poulin, Donald Duquette, Andre Gauthier and Raoul Boucher

Lorene Donato
GORHAM -- A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated for Lorene Donato of Gorham, on Friday, March 30, 2007 at Holy Family Church with Father Peter Boucher as Celebrant. The Cantor was Denise Doucette, accompanied by Susan Ramsey as Organist.
The Pall was placed by her son-in-law, Robert Godbout, grandson, Jeremy Donato and granddaughter Doriana Kenton. Her daughter, Lorelie Godbout, placed the cross. Serving as the reader was her son, Grayling Donato. The offertory gifts were presented by great grandchildren Alexandria and Brianna Brocatto. A rendition of the song "One Day at a Time" was sung by Denise Doucette.
Interment followed the services in Holy Family Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers were son-in-law, Robert Godbout, grandson, Jeremy Donato, granddaughter, Doriana Kenton and Raoul Boucher, Paul Lafleur and Raymond Francoeur.
There were numerous friends and family members that attended the services.

Walter R. Finson
Walter R. Finson, 67, of 317 Milan Road, Milan, passed away on Friday June 15, 2007 at the Androscoggin Valley Hospital in Berlin. He was born in Berlin, on November 19, 1939, the son of John L. and Ethel (Shepherd) Finson and was a lifelong resident of the Berlin-Milan area. He had been employed by Brown Company, James River Corporation, Crown Vantage and PPA. He was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church.
Members of the family include his wife Rita (Cote) Finson, of Milan; a son Eric Finson, of Dover; a daughter, Christine Krambeck, of Dubuque, IA; his father, John L. Finson, of West Stewartstown; one brother, Maurice Finson, of Milan; several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his mother, Ethel Finson.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday June 20, 2007 at 11 a.m. at the Bryant Funeral Home, 180 Hillside Avenue, Berlin. Relatives and friends may call at the funeral home on Wednesday from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. prior to the funeral service. Interment will be in the Hillcrest Cemetery in Milan. Barbara A. (Leonard) Bedard
BERLIN, -- Mrs. Barbara A. (Leonard) Bedard, 77, of 90 Cedar Street in Berlin, passed away on Saturday, June 16, 2007 at the Androscoggin Valley Hospital in Berlin. She was born in Cambridge, Mass., on April 24, 1930, the daughter of Michael E. and Frances (LeBlanc) Leonard. Mrs. Bedard was a graduate of St. Mary’s School in Cambridge, Mass., and moved to Berlin after her marriage to Philip Bedard. Prior to her retirement she was employed as a secretary for the St. Kieran Church for 26 years. She was a member of St. Kieran Church, now known as Good Shepherd Parish, was a member of the FOE Auxiliary #893 in Malden, Mass., a life member of the VFW Auxiliary, a past VFW district president, a past VFW state soloist, and a past VFW Auxiliary president. Barbara loved her family, her pets and everyone around her. She loved to sing and officiated at many weddings and funerals. She was also a great cook and loved to bake cakes and her wedding cakes were in great demand.
Members of her family include her husband, Philip R. Bedard of Berlin; five children, Jacqueline Bergeron and her husband Walter of Canaan, Philip E. Bedard of Berlin, Diane Vigue and her husband Joseph of Berlin,Warren Bedard of Berlin, and Ellen Labrecque and her husband Paul of Berlin; seven grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; two sisters, Gerry Muise and Ruth Bergen; several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by her brothers, Edward Leonard, Walter Leonard and Donald Leonard; and by a daughter-in-law Lorraine Bedard.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday June 23, at 11 a.m.at St. Anne Church of Good Shepherd Parish on Pleasant Street in Berlin. Relatives and friends may call at the Bryant Funeral Home, 180 Hillside Avenue in Berlin, on Friday afternoon and evening from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Interment will be in the St. Anne Cemetery in Berlin. Gabrielle Anctil
BERLIN -- An interment service for Gabrielle “Gay” Anctil, who passed away on March 2, 2007, will be held on Friday, July 6, 2007 at 3 p.m. at St. Kieran Cemetery in Berlin with Pastor Eleanor McLaughlin of St. Barnabas Church officiating.
Ruth Lorraine Couture
BERLIN -- Funeral services for Mrs. Ruth Lorraine Couture, 86, of 28 Arthur Street, Berlin, were held on April 6, 2007 at St. Anne Church of Good Shepherd Parish,following prayers at the Bryant Funeral Home. The Liturgy of the Word was celebrated by Reverend Richard Roberge. Interment was in the Mount Calvary Cemetery. Reverend Roberge read the committal prayers.
The pallbearers were Shawn Couture, Garret Couture, Claude Pigeon, Kim Lambert, Mark Taillon, Phil Garron and David Hickey.
Relatives and friends attended the services from New Hampshire, Texas, Florida, Canada, Massachusetts and the British Virgin Islands.
Bessie Taillon Fennessey
BERLIN -- Funeral services for Mrs. Bessie Taillon Fennessey, 84, of 21 Winter Street, Berlin, were held on April 10, 1007 at St. Anne Church of Good Shepherd Parish, following prayers at the Bryant Funeral Home. A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated by Reverend Richard Roberge. Interment was in the Mount Calvary Cemetery. Reverend Roberge read the committal prayers.
The pallbearers were Shawn Couture, Mark Taillon, Lefty Theberge, Dennis Delisle, Allan Pike and Roger Cloutier. Many relatives and friends attended the service.
Leo J. Belanger
MILAN -- Leo J. Belanger of Milan, was laid to rest on Saturday, April 7, 2007 in St. Kieran Cemetery, Berlin. Fr. Peter Boucher of Good Shepherd Parish recited the Committal prayers at the Fleury-Patry Funeral Home. A vigil service was conducted in the funeral home on Wednesday, April 4, by Fr. Richard Roberge of Good Shepherd Parish.
Military honors were provided at the cemetery by members of the New Hampshire National Guard:MSG Scott Hodgman, SSG Donald Poulin and SPC Robert Cone and from VFW Post 2520, Gary Roy, Gil Laramie, Dick LÂ’Heureux, Donald Guerin, Andre Gauthier and bugler Ron Goyette.
There were numerous friends and family members that attended the services from in and out of town.
