Raymond Adams
KITTERY - Raymond Adams, 80, of Kittery, died Tuesday, Oct. 3, 2000, at the York Hospital, following a long illness.
Born Aug. 10, 1920, in Kittery, he was the son of the late Fred and Rose (Weeks) Adams.
His family were natives of Kittery and his ancestors had lived in the Kittery area since 1632.
He was also a direct descendent of John Adams and John Quincy Adams.
He attended Kittery schools and graduated from Traip Academy. He worked many years at the Portsmouth Naval Shipyard as a small-business specialist, and enlisted in the Navy in 1942.
He was a veteran of World War II, during which he was an aviation metal specialist.
Upon his discharge from the service in 1946, he returned to work at the shipyard.
An avid motorcyclist, he had belonged to The Gold Wing RoadRiders and the Retreads motorcycle clubs, and the American Motorcycle Association.
He enjoyed snowmobiling as well, having belonged to several snowmobile clubs in the area.
He was a member of the American Legion, the Disabled American Veterans, the Portsmouth Yacht Club, the Portsmouth Naval Shipyard Bowling Team and the Portsmouth Power Squadron, as well as serving a special deputy with the York County Sheriff's Department.
He married Veronica (McKenna) Adams on Nov. 20, 1978, in South Berwick.
In addition to his wife, survivors include a daughter, Rozeanne Buzzell of Eliot; a sister, Gladys Lamont of Kittery; three grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
He had many friends, and he will surely be missed.
ADAMS - Raymond Adams, 80, of Kittery, died Tuesday, Oct. 3, 2000, at York Hospital.
Funeral services will be held at 7 p.m. Friday, Oct. 6, at the Wilson Cooper Funeral Home, 21 Rogers Road, Kittery.
A visitation hour will take place from 6 p.m. until the time of the service. At the family's request, instead of flowers, contributions and donations may be made to a charity of one's choice.
A private graveside committal service and burial will take place at 11 a.m. Saturday in Brooks Memorial Cemetery.
Dale P. Macomber
ELIOT - Dale P. Macomber, 45, of 24 State Road, died Tuesday, Oct. 3, 2000, at the Greenwood Center in Sanford, Maine, after a long illness.
Born Aug. 24, 1955, in Portsmouth, he was the son of Philip and Ruth (Pettigrew) Macomber and was a 1973 graduate of Marshwood High School.
He was a cement mason at Seabrook Nuclear Power Station in Seabrook.
He was a member of the Local Union No. 500 of Cement Masons and Associated General Contractors of America.
He enjoyed playing pool, hunting, fishing and snowmobiling.
In addition to his parents, survivors include one sister, Gail Ostromecky, and one nephew, Thomas A. Ostromecky, both of Greenland; and a longtime close and caring friend, Cheryl Brighman.
MACOMBER - Dale P. Macomber, 45, of 24 State Road in Eliot, died Oct. 3, 2000.
Funeral arrangements will be announced at a later date. Arrangements are by the J.S. Pelkey Funeral Home, 125 Old Post Road and U.S. Route 1 Bypass, Kittery, ME 03904.
Shelagh J. Wallace
PORTSMOUTH - Shelagh J. Wallace, 48, of Sheffield Road, died unexpectedly at her home on Sunday, Oct. 1, 2000.
Born July 27, 1952 in Toronto, Canada, she was the daughter of George and Janet Wallace.
She came to the States with her family as an infant and lived in the Boston area.
The youngest of four children, she attended public schools in Wellesley, Mass., the Sudbury Valley School and graduated from Nasson College in 1974.
She was employed for 20 years as a systems analyst for Liberty Mutual Insurance Co. in Portsmouth.
Shelagh was an active volunteer fund-raiser for many community organizations including the American Cancer Society, New Hampshire Public Radio, and the Unitarian-Universalist (South) Church.
She loved the outdoors, especially the beach and the sea, and enjoyed scuba diving, sea kayaking, cooking and gardening.
She is survived by her daughter, Alana Oudekerk of Portsmouth; her mother, Jan Wallace of Rockport, Maine; her father and his wife, George and Robin Wallace of Wellesley, Mass.; her brother, Doug Wallace of Kelowna, British Columbia; and her sister, Jill Wallace of Topsham, Maine. Another sister, Meredith Wallace, died in 1976.
WALLACE - Shelagh J. Wallace, 48, of 30 Sheffield Road, Portsmouth, died unexpectedly at her home Sunday, Oct. 1, 2000.
A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m., Thursday, Oct. 19, at South Church, 292 State St., Portsmouth. A reception will follow.
Memorial contributions can be made to South Church in Portsmouth, or to a charity of your choice.
Natalie A. Hopkins
RYE - Funeral services for Natalie A. Hopkins, 84, formerly of Manchester, N.H., Mansfield, Conn., and Rye, were held Tuesday at J. Verne Wood Funeral Home-Buckminster Chapel.
The Rev. William Gardei officiated.
Burial was in Valley Cemetery, Manchester. Committal services were by the Rev. Gardei.
Bearer was Robert Leary.
Eunice G. O'Brien
RYE - Eunice G. O'Brien, 92, of 1752 Ocean Blvd. died Monday, Oct. 2, 2000, at Webster at Rye.
Born in Bangor, Maine, Aug. 28, 1908, she was the daughter of the late Francis and Mary (Kelleher) Golden and was a graduate of Bangor High School.
She worked as an administrative secretary for Abbot Academy in Andover, Mass., Phillips Academy at Andover and retired from the Senior Citizens Council of Portsmouth in 1996 at the age of 88.
She was a lifelong summer resident of Rye before moving here year-round from Andover.
She was a communicant of St. Theresa Church, Rye Beach.
She was the wife of the late Joseph R. O'Brien.
He died in 1964.
Family members include one daughter, Kathryn Imboden and her husband, Nicolas, of Berne, Switzerland and Rye; four grandchildren, Priscilla, Sara, Matthias and Philipp; a sister-in law, Ellenora D. O'Brien of North Andover, and Rye; a niece and nephew, Norah and George Predaris of Rye and several other nieces and nephews.
O'BRIEN - Eunice G. O'Brien, 92, of 1752 Ocean Blvd., Rye, died Oct. 2, 2000.
A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m., Friday, at St. Theresa Church, Rye Beach.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited and may call from 7 to 9 p.m., Thursday at the Remick & Gendron Funeral Home-Crematory, 811 Lafayette Road, Hampton.
Private burial will be in the Spring Grove Cemetery, Andover, Mass.
The family requests that in lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Senior Citizens Council of Portsmouth, 1 Junkins Ave., Portsmouth, N.H. 03801.
John J. Graham
YORK - John J. Graham, 74, died peacefully at his residence, Oct. 2, 2000.
Born June 25, 1926 in Greenfield, Mass., he was the son of Herbert N. and Bessie C. (Johnson) Graham.
He graduated from York High School, Class of 1944 and went directly into the Army Air Force, serving in the South Pacific and based in the Philippines flying as a belly gunner on a B-27.
Upon his discharge from the service, he attended the Manchester Institute of Arts and Sciences for two years, majoring in art and drafting.
He was a graduate of McIntosh Business College with a degree in drafting and business and at the same time completing a four-year apprenticeship program at the Portsmouth Naval Shipyard.
He retired after 31 years in 1981 as a general foreman nuclear inspector.
He attended St. Christopher Church in York and was a member of the Air Force Gunner Club, the V.F.W. Boardman-Ellis Post in Cape Neddick, an original officer of the York American Legion and a former member of the Portsmouth Elks.
He was the husband of Eunice-Anne (Marshall) Graham for 50 years.
In addition to his wife of York, family members include one daughter, Candace Graham-Gigli of Kittery; three sons, J. Marshall Graham of York Harbor, Mark and his wife, Denise Graham, of Westbrook, and Matthew and his wife, Nancy Graham, of York; seven grandchildren, five great-grandchildren; and several cousins, nieces and nephews.
Isabelle B. Page
HAVERHILL, Mass. - Isabelle B. (Granton) Page, 87, formerly of Haverhill Crossing and Maplewood Terrace, died Sept. 26, 2000 at the Oxford Manor Rehabilitation and Nursing Center.
Born Jan. 7, 1913 in Haverhill, she was the daughter of the late Robert C. and A. Gertrude (Woodbury) Granton.
She was a lifelong resident of Haverhill, graduated as a class officer from Haverhill High School class of 1930 and continued her education at Burdett College in Boston.
She was a member of the First Church of Christ Church in Bradford, the 1937 Mother's Club, the XV Club and the Haverhill Country Club.
She had served as both a Boy Scout and Girl Scout leader for several years and was an avid skier and golfer.
She was the wife of prominent Haverhill businessman James R. Page who died in 1969.
She was later married to Donald Bingham of Apollo Beach, Fla. until his death in 1982.
Mrs. Page is survived by her sons; William G. Page of Bangkok, Thailand and James G. Page and his wife Louise, of Newton, Mass.; daughter, Pamela Traver and her husband Charles of Atkinson, NH; five grandchildren; two great grandchildren; a sister, Beryl Williams of Louisville, Ky.; several nieces and nephews.
PAGE - Isabelle B. (Granton) Page, 87, formerly of Haverhill Crossing and Maplewood Terrace, Haverhill, Mass. died Sept. 26, 2000 at the Oxford Manor Rehabilitation and Nursing Center.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a memorial service at 4 p.m., Oct. 12 at the First Church of Christ in Bradford, Mass.
At the family's request there will be no calling hours.

MARK - Saul Mark, 87, of 575 Grand St., New York City, died Oct. 2, 2000.
Interment will be Wednesday at Mt. Hebron Cemetery, N.Y.
Visiting hours will be from 7:30 to 9 p.m., Saturday, Oct. 7, at the home of Rabbi David and Anbeth Mark, 13 Brackett Lane, Portsmouth.

Todd G. Johnson
SANFORD, Maine - Todd G. Johnson, 45, of 11 Oak Ridge Road, died Sunday, Oct. 1, 2000, at his residence.
Born Sept. 20, 1955, in Portsmouth, he was the son of Robert and Grace Rankin Johnson and attended schools in Kittery.
He lived in Kittery until about age 18, then moved to Florida in the Bradenton/Sarasota area where he worked for Tropicana for 10 years.
He moved to the Sanford area, where he bought a home and worked for Cyro Industries for 11 years.
He very much enjoyed working in his garage at home. He did welding and grinding, fabricating things for everyone.
He was very advanced with computers, making menus for local restaurants such as Lebeau's.
He enjoyed boating and fishing, especially in Florida.
He loved to spend time with his family and many friends.
He is survived by his mother, Grace Pasquill, of Kittery; his father, Robert Johnson, of Kittery; his brothers, Christopher Johnson of Norton, Mass., Daryl Johnson of Kittery, and Robin Johnson of Sanford; a sister, Vicki Davis of Kittery; a niece, several nephews and great-nephews; many cousins, aunts and uncles; and many friends, who stopped by throughout his illness.
JOHNSON - Todd G. Johnson, 45, of 11 Oak Ridge Road, Sanford, Maine, died Oct. 1, 2000.
Friends and relatives are invited to gather and celebrate his life starting at 12 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 7, at his home.

Dr. Robert Louis Olson
NASHUA - Dr. Robert Louis Olson, 82, of Hunt Street died Friday evening, Sept. 29, 2000, at a local nursing home.
His first wife, Hortense "Terry" Olson, died April 21, 1970, after a prolonged medical illness and after almost 24 years of marriage.
Born May 21, 1918, he was the son of the late George and Marie L. (Fraser) Olson.
He had been a resident of Nashua most of his life.
After attending grammar school at St. Louis de Gonzague in Nashua, he attended Nashua High School and graduated with the Class of 1936.
He then went on to study pre-med at St. Anselm College in Goffstown, where he earned a degree in biochemistry.
He began his medical practice of anesthesiology in Nashua in 1953 and retired there in 1984 after 32 years of service to the community.
Throughout his medical career, he practiced medicine at Southern New Hampshire Medical Center (formerly Nashua Memorial Hospital), as well as St. Joseph Hospital.
Along with his wife, he was very active in hospital activities.
He served on several hospital boards, and she on the cafeteria staff as a hospital auxiliary volunteer.
He was a member of the American Society of Regional Anesthesia; an assistant resident in anesthesiology at New England Center Hospital in Boston in 1955; and president of the medical staff at St. Joseph Hospital, Nashua, 1959-1960.
He enlisted in the U.S. Army one year before the start of World War II, in 1941.
Among other duties, he worked as a medical supply technician and served in Oran, Northern Africa, during the war.
He achieved the rank of master sergeant before leaving the military after five years and returning to his medical studies in Boston.
Upon returning from the military, he enrolled in a brief residency training program for anesthesiology at St. John's Medical School in St. Louis.
In 1950, he earned his medical doctorate degree from Tufts University Medical School in Medford, Mass.
Survivors include two sons, Scott Fraser Olson and his wife, Nancy (Tordoff) Olson, of South Portland, and Craig Olson of Nashua; two grandsons, Benjamin Scott Olson and Isaac Robert Olson, both of South Portland; a niece, Denise Dorson and her husband, Dr. William Dorson, and their two sons, Peter Dorson and Mark Dorson, all of Tempe, Ariz.; and several cousins.
He was predeceased by his only sister, Estelle (Olson) Larivee, and several uncles and cousins.
OLSON - Dr. Robert L. Olson, 82, of Hunt Street, Nashua, died Sept. 29, 2000.
Visiting hours will be 7-9 p.m. Tuesday, and 9-10 a.m. Wednesday at the Davis Funeral Home, One Locke St., Nashua.
Graveside services and interment will take place at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday in St. Louis Cemetery, Nashua.
