Charles I. White
DOVER - Charles I. White, 72, of 15 West Concord St., died Sunday, Nov. 26, 2000.
Born in Center Ossipee on April 9, 1928, he was the son of Kenwood Charles and Winnie Barker (Chamberlain) White. He was a graduate of the Cushing Academy Prep School and then enlisted in the U.S. Navy. He later graduated from the University of New Hampshire.
He was the founder and owner of the C.I. White Inc. Construction Co. and the White Enterprise Realty. He was a member of the Strafford County Board of Realtors and the National Builders Association. He was a life member of the Dover Lodge of Elks and a 50-plus-year member of the Strafford Lodge of Masons.
He formerly raised Morgan horses at the Bay View Farm and was a member of the American Morgan Horse Association, the Granite State Morgan Horse Association and the New Hampshire Horse and Trail Association.
He is survived by his mother, Winnie Welch; his son, Jeff White; two grandchildren, Corbin White and Cailey White; two sisters, Marcia Dimambro and Eleanor Dugal Colby, all of Dover; and nieces and nephews.
His former wife, Dorothy Simpson White, predeceased him.
WHITE - Charles I. White, 72, of 15 West Concord St., Dover, died Nov. 26, 2000. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, Dec. 1, at the Tasker Funeral Home, 621 Central Ave., Dover, with the Rev. Thomas Coover, chaplain of St. Ann Home, officiating. The family will receive friends for one hour prior to the service, from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. Those who wish are invited to make memorials in his name to the charity of their own choice.
Helen M. Williams
EXETER - The funeral for Helen M. Williams, 77, of 10 Pine Grove Road, was held Tuesday, Nov. 28, 2000, from the Stockbridge Funeral Home, Exeter. A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated at St. Michael's Church, Exeter. The Rev. Richard E. St. Louis, associate pastor, was the celebrant. John Kelly was the soloist, and Denise Kelly was the organist. Acolytes were Joseph Latour, Ray Russell and Al Marquis. The readings were offered by William Gail and Patricia Pyle. The gifts were presented to the altar by her grandsons, Spencer and Brandon Baselice. Words of remembrance were offered by her daughter, Candice Montella. Burial followed in the Exeter Cemetery, with committal prayers by the Rev. St. Louis. Pallbearers were Brandon Baselice, Spencer Baselice, Andy Gail and Gregory Williams.
WILLIAMS - Mrs. Beulah Claire (Willis) Williams, 78, of 928 South St., Portsmouth, died Nov. 26, 2000. There will be no funeral services. Cecile B. Desrochers
KITTERY, Maine - Cecile B. Desrochers, 88, of 21 Manson Ave., Foxwell Apartments, died peacefully in her sleep at York Hospital on Saturday, Nov. 25, 2000.
Born in Lyster, Canada, on July 28, 1912, she was the daughter of Napoleon and Ludivine (Garon) Roy. She moved to Portland in 1925. She was married to the late Ralph Bruce in 1934.
She moved to Providence, R.I., in the late 1950s. She was married to Philip A. Desrochers, of Johnston, in 1961. She was again widowed in 1976.
She moved to Kittery in 1993 to be closer to family.
She was predeceased by a daughter, Margaret (Peggy) Gildard, and a son, Peter Bruce.
She was stepmother to Margaret Morgenstern, Peter Desrochers and Philip Desrochers and was especially close to stepson Michael Desrochers and his wife, Barbara, of York.
She is survived by two sisters, Rita White, of Kittery, and Aline Brewer, of Portland. She was also close to her granddaughters, Michelle Desrochers, of Kennebunkport, Margaret Desrochers, of Biddeford, and Barbara Alberda and her husband, Pete, and great-granddaughter Amanda, of Auburn. She had many grandchildren and great-grandchildren in Rhode Island, Connecticut, Nevada, New York and Maine. She was adored and will be remembered fondly by us all.
DESROCHERS - Cecile B. Desrochers, of Manson Avenue, Kittery, Maine, died Nov. 25, 2000, in York. A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday in St. Raphael's Catholic Church, 6 Whipple Road, Kittery. Interment will be in Calvary Cemetery, South Portland, Maine. In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to Community Partners Inc., P.O. Box 363, Biddeford, ME 04005, to benefit adults with physical disabilities and mental retardation. Arrangements are by Lucas and Eaton Funeral Home, York.
Norman W. Towle
HAMPTON - Norman W. Towle, 96, of 103 Mace Road, died Sunday, Nov. 19, 2000, at Exeter Hospital after being stricken ill at his home.
Born in Hampton on Nov. 3, 1904, he was the son of the late Ernest and Louise (Johansen) Towle.
He operated a backyard small-engine-repair and blade-sharpening workshop for 35 years and was known as "the lawnmower man" around the tri-state area.
He worked as a shipwright for the Portsmouth Naval Shipyard for many years. He also worked as a carpenter and was a lifelong member of the Carpenter's Union.
He was a member of the Hampton Lions Club for more than 50 years and was honored by the club for his volunteer service to the community. A man who loved to spend time with family and friends, he will be fondly remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
He was the husband of Hattie (Goss) Towle, who died in 1995, and was predeceased by a brother, Harold Towle, and a sister, Ernestine Wright.
Family members include two daughters, Patricia Walker, of Phoenix, Az., and Dorothy Jedynak, of Peoria, Az.; two grandchildren, Wesley Bryan Walker and Hattie Martha Walker, both of Phoenix; a grandnephew; and a grandniece.
TOWLE - Norman W. Towle, 96, of 103 Mace Road, Hampton, died Nov. 19, 2000. Services will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday at the Remick & Gendron Funeral Home-Crematory, 811 Lafayette Road, Hampton. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited. The family requests that there be no visiting hours and that flowers please be omitted. Dorothy M. Russell
PORTSMOUTH - Dorothy M. Russell, 81, formerly of Pheasant Lane in Claremont, died Monday, Nov. 27, 2000, at the Edgewood Nursing Home following a period of failing health.
She was born in Claremont on June 30, 1919, the daughter of Charles and Grace (Cloutier) Muzeroll and had been a longtime resident of Claremont before moving to Portsmouth in 1995. She was a graduate of Stevens High School, class of 1938. She was the first female deputy sheriff in New Hampshire.
She was the widow of Dr. Omer Russell, who died in 1999.
Survivors include a daughter, Julia Russell, of Portsmouth; two sisters, Julia Young, of Portsmouth, and Jeannette Ferraro, of Saugus, Mass.; a brother, Norman Muzeroll, of Spokane, Wash; and several nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by two sisters, Ruby Wilcox and Evelyn Sharpe.
RUSSELL - Dorothy M. Russell, 81, formerly of Claremont, died Nov. 27, 2000. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday at the Roy Funeral Home, with the Rev. Michael Ciullo, pastor of St. Mary Parish, officiating. Interment will follow in St. Mary's Cemetery. Friends may call from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. on Thursday at the Roy Funeral Home, 93 Sullivan St., Claremont.

Ernest F. Boetti
FREMONT - Ernest F. Boetti, 67, of 85 Riverside Drive, died Friday, Nov. 24, 2000, at the Exeter Hospital.
He was born July 9, 1933, the son of Doris (Mears) Fortuna of Brentwood and the late Ernest F. Boetti. He was raised in Merrimac, Mass., and had resided in Fremont for about 25 years.
A 1952 graduate of Merrimac High School, he was a Korean-era veteran, having served in the U.S. Army.
He worked for Bell Labs in Andover, Mass., now Lucent Technologies, for 30 years, retiring in 1998. He was a member of the Telephone Pioneers of America.
He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Brentwood, a long member of the choir and a soloist. As a youth, he was a member of the John Greenleaf Whittier Chapter, Order of the DeMolay in Haverhill, Mass. He was a member and past master of Gideon Lodge No. 84, F. & A.M. of Kingston.
In addition to his mother, survivors include a daughter, Cheryl Mainiero of Hampton; two sons, Charles Boetti of Concord and Phillip Boetti of Hampton; three grandchildren, Rachael and Janelle Mainiero, and Jason Green; a sister, Nancy Huddleston of Newton; a brother, Bruce Boetti; and several nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by a grandson, Christopher Green, in 1999.
BOETTI - Ernest F. Boetti, 67, of 85 Riverside Drive, Fremont, died Friday, Nov. 24, 2000. Services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday in the Remick & Gendron Funeral Home-Crematory, 811 Lafayette Road, Hampton. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited and may send flowers, or, if desired, donations may be made to the First Baptist Church, 201 North Road, Brentwood, NH 03833.
Ruth M. Lincoln
KITTERY, Maine - Ruth M. Lincoln, 92, of Haley Road, died Saturday, Nov. 25, 2000, at Harbor Home in York Harbor following a brief illness.
She was born in Southboro, Mass., a daughter of James M. and Amber Tyler Weeks. She graduated from Marlboro High School in 1925 and from normal schools in Brattleboro, Vt., and Newton, Mass.
In 1951, she moved to Portsmouth, N.H., where she worked at the Moultons Candy Shop, and later ran the Portsmouth Junior High School cafeteria food program. She was a floral designer for many years, working in different shops in Massachusetts and New Hampshire.
She loved to travel and did so with her friends over the years.
She was a member of the York Art Association and the Eliot United Methodist Church.
She enjoyed painting with water colors and oils. She also enjoyed various arts and crafts, which she shared with all her family members.
She was the wife of the late Raymond H. Lincoln Sr., who died in 1959.
Survivors include two sons, Raymond H. Lincoln Jr. of Rochester, N.H., and Robert J. Lincoln of Eliot; two daughters, Ruth Lincoln of Exeter, N.H., and Priscilla Crowley of Eliot; 13 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was predeceased by two grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
LINCOLN - Ruth M. Lincoln, 92, of Haley Road, Kittery, Maine, died Nov. 25, 2000. There will be no visiting hours. A funeral will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Eliot (Maine) United Methodist Church,. Burial will follow at Brooks Memorial Cemetery. Arrangements by the Wilson-Cooper Funeral Home.
