Viola F. Hudson
Viola F. Hudson, 82, of North Conway, died November 14, 1999 at the Merriman House in North Conway. She was born in Salem, Mass., the daughter of Charles and Elizabeth Griffin McGee, and lived in New Port Ritchey, Fla., for over 30 years prior to moving to North Conway in 1997.
She attended school in Massachusetts, and loved to travel.
Her family includes a daughter, Geraldine A. Ferguson of Casco, Maine; ten grandchildren, Cynthia McInerney of Conway, Deborah Crotty of North Reading, Mass., Linda O'Neill of Raymond, Maine, Lynn Malbert of Oviedo, Fla., Robyn Akatyszewski of Wakefield, Donald Ferguson of Lynn, Mass., Charles Hudson of Gonic, Raymond Ferguson of Lynn, Mass., and Thomas Ferguson and Timothy Fergurson, both of Billerica, Mass., 25 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchildren.
She was predeceased by her husband of 65 years, Harold E. Hudson, in 1997, and by a son, Everett C. Hudson, in 1995.
A memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, November 20, at 11 a.m. at Our Lady of the Mountains Church in North Conway. There will be no visiting hours. Donations in Mrs. Hudson's memory may be made to the OLM New Church Building Fund, P.O. Box 189, North Conway, NH 03860.

Myra L. Boothby
Myra L. Boothby, 82, of Portland, Maine, died November 14, 1999 at Maine Medical Center, Portland, after many years at Seaside Nursing Home, Portland.
She was preceeded in death by her husband, Gerald, and a sister, Ruth Bailey of Harrison, Maine.
She leaves a sister, Marjorie Havener of Waterford, Conn. a brother, Earl Webb of Gardiner, Maine, and a sister, Shirley Munn of Tamworth, as well as several nieces and nephews.
Graveside services will be held Wednesday, November 17 at 1 p.m. in Brooklawn Cemetery, 2002 Congress St., Portland, Maine.
Russell Q. Pecunies
Russell Q. Pecunies, 74, of Ossipee and formerly of Wolfeboro, died Thursday, November 11, 1999 at his home.
He was born July 2, 1925 in Newington, the son of the late Otto and Eleanor Fernald Pecunies, and lived most of his life in Wolfeboro. He moved to Ossipee in 1996 when he married his wife, June Averill Lunt Pecunies.
During World War II, he fought at the Battle of the Bulge with the United States Army as a Sergeant.
Mr. Pecunies attended Brewster Academy in Wolfeboro, worked as a milkman for the former Brewster Dairy for over 23 years, owned and operated Russ Pecunies Trucking Service, and worked at the Portsmouth Navy Yard as a marine machinist, retiring in 1992.
He was a member of the Water Village Community Church, a past master of the Morning Star Masonic Lodge in Wolfeboro, and a present member of the Ossipee Valley Masonic Lodge, a 32nd degree Mason, a member of Bektash Temple, the Samadia Shrine Club 6 Masonic District, the American Legion, the Odd Fellows, and the Whittier Lions Club.
His family includes his wife, of Ossipee; three daughters, Kathy Wintersteen of Somersworth, Nancy Cheyne of Derry, and Tammy Healey of Somersworth; a brother, Vernon Pecunies of Florida; three sisters, Rosamond Burroughs of Milton, Rita Young of California, and Beverly Whitkens of Wolfeboro; three grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Calling hours will be Sunday, Nov. 14 from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. at the Baker-Gagne Funeral Home, 85 Mill Street, Wolfeboro. A masonic service will be held during the evening calling hours. The funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Monday at the Water Village Community Church, Water Village, Ossipee. Rev. Elmore Roberts will officiate. Burial will be in Grant Hill Cemetery in Center Ossipee.

Ernest H. Boucher
Ernest H. Boucher, 71, of Albany, died Nov. 12, 1999, at the Memorial Hospital in North Conway after a long illness.
Born in New Milford, Conn., the son of Albert and Eva (Lavery) Boucher, he moved to the Conway area in 1974.
He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II. He was a retired machinist and had worked at Spaulding Fiber Optics in Rochester and Maine Machine Company in Norway, Maine. He started his own machine company, Boucher Company, in 1977 and operated it until he retired in 1997. He was an avid fisherman.
The family includes his wife of 50 years, Claire (Simpson) Boucher, of Albany; five daughters, Sandra J. Burch, of Sevierville, Tenn., Laurie C. Sawyer, of New Hampton, Suzanne B. Sawyer, of South Paris, Maine, Jacqueline M. Delclos, of Malta, N.Y., and Lisa J. Pomerleau, of Keene; two sons, Jeffrey E. Boucher and Joseph H. Boucher, both of Center Cownay; 12 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; two sisters, Julie Cuchara, of Southbury, Conn.; of Gertrude Sanders, of Las Vegas, Nev.; and several nieces and nephews.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Tuesday at 11 a.m. at Our Lady of the Mountains Church. Burial will be in Our Lady of the Mountains Cemetery. Visiting hours will be today, Monday, from 7 to 9 p.m. at the Furber and White Funeral Home in North Conway.

Margrett R. Ranco
Margrett R. Ranco, 79, of Albany, died November 9, 1999 at The Memorial Hospital in North Conway, following a sudden illness. She was born in Conway, the daughter of Erick and Myrtle Harriman Nolan, and was a lifelong resident of the Mount Washington Valley.
Mrs. Ranco was a graduate of Kennett High School, and a member of the Kennett Keys.
She worked at the former Frankson's in West Ossipee during World War II, and later worked at John F. Chick and Son in Silver Lake as a bookkeeper. She had also been a bookkeeper at the former General Distributors in Conway and at the former Carroll Reed's in North Conway and Conway.
Mrs. Ranco had been a member of the North Conway Community Choir.
Her family includes her husband of 18 years, Frederick W. Ranco of Albany; two step-daughters, Lorraine and Eva, of Maine; six grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; a foster sister, Mary Leavitt of Albany; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Funeral services will be held Saturday at 10 a.m. at the Furber and White Funeral Home, North Conway, with the Rev. Pojen Lee officiating. Burial will be in the Conway Village Cemetery. Visiting hours will be Friday from 7 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.
Francis W. Kerrigan
Francis W. Kerrigan, 72, of Center Conway, died unexpectedly on November 11, 1999 at The Memorial Hospital in North Conway. He was born in Woburn, Mass., the son of Francis and Grace Tanner Kerrigan, and had been a longtime resident of Woburn before moving to the Conway area in 1980.
Mr. Kerrigan worked for the Reading (Mass.) Tree Department for 20 years and after moving to Conway he was very active with the Conway Scenic Railroad.
His family includes three daughters, Karen Street of Woburn, Mass., Karol Simon of Billerica, Mass., and Kristine Martin of Dracut, Mass.; a son, Mark Kerrigan of Lowell, Mass.; four grandchildren; three brothers, Richard Kerrigan, Peter Kerrigan, and Robert Kerrigan, all of Woburn, Mass.; a sister, Jean McColough of Stratham; and several nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his wife, Emma Dow Kerrigan, in 1997.
Funeral services will be held Saturday at 2 p.m. at the Furber and White Funeral Home, North Conway, with the Rev. William R. Stockhaus, pastor of the Glen Community Baptist Church, officiating. Burial will be in the North Conway Cemetery. Visiting hours will be from noon to 2 p.m. prior to the service.
Willard J. Bushey
Willard J. Bushey Jr., 63, of North Conway, died Friday, November 5, 1999 at The Memorial Hospital in North Conway. He was born in Morrisville, Vt., on June 8, 1936, the son of Willard J. Bushey and Helen Gendron Bushey.
He had worked as a woodsman and operated a firewood business known as Grandpa Bushey's Firewood. He served in the United States Navy from 1954 to 1958. He lived in North Conway, coming from the Norway/South Paris, Maine area.
His family includes his wife, Sharon Britton Bushey, whom he married September 3, 1976; his mother, Helen Tilley of Laconia; three daughters, Sarah J. Bushey, Deborah Bushey, and Rebekah Bushey, all of Conway; seven sons, Seth D., Abraham I., and Timothy A., all of Conway, Jeremy D., and Jeffrey A., both of Ossipee, James D. of Albany, and Joseph F. of Otisfield, Maine; ten grandchildren; three sisters, Louise, Linda and Ramona; and three brothers, Edwin, John and Henry.

Roland A. Houde
Roland A. Houde, 82, of Wakefield, Mass., died Wednesday, November 3, 1999 at Melrose-Wakefield Hospital after a lengthy illness. He was the husband of Constance "Connie: A. Dugas Houde, with whom he shared 58 years of marriage.
He was born and raised in Lynn, Mass., and attended St. Jean the Baptist grade school and Lynn Classical High School.
Mr. Houde was employed by the General Electric Company, where he worked in the stock room. He retired as a machine operator after 45 years of service.
He was a member of the GE Quarter Century Club, Polymnia Choir of Melrose, Most Blessed Sacrament Church Choir, and Most Blessed Sacrament Church Holy Name Society.
His family includes six daughters, Suzanne Chelidona of Eustis, Maine, Louise Lambrukos of Medford, Mass., Lorraine Sayward of Rochester, Jacqueline Phipps of Wakefield, Mass., Denise Sanford of Salem, and Marie Bartlett of Monkton, Vt.; three sons, Richard Houde of Stoneham, Mass., and Ronald Houde of Hampstead; a sister, Rita Bourgeois of Conway; 22 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. He was brother-in-law to Louise Jodoin of North Conway and Albert and Norman Dugas, both of Conway.

John D. Westhaver
FRYEBURG, Maine - John D. Westhaver, 88, of Fryeburg, Maine, died Feb. 27, 2000, at the Fryeburg Health Care Center, after a long illness.
Born in Melrose, Mass., the son of Joshua and Lottie (Ritchie) Westhaver, he came to Fryeburg in March of 1999.
Westhaver owned and operated Franconia Valley Inn in Franconia from 1948 to 1952, and he owned and operated a restaurant in Southern California for 15 years before retiring in 1977.
He was a member of the Masonic Lodge and the International Order of Odd Fellows.
The family includes: his wife, Jean (Johnson) Westhaver or Fryeburg; two sons, Kenneth H. Westhaver of West Fryeburg and Rev. John D. Westhaver of Boscawen; two daughters, Debra J. Church of Avon, Conn. and Mona L. Westhaver of Portland, Ore.; eight grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
Private services will be held at the convenience of the family. There will be no visiting hours. The Furber and White Funeral Home in North Conway is in charge of arrangements.
