Judith S. Dolezal
Died: Friday, October 28, 2005
Age: 80

PALM BEACH GARDENS, Fla. - Judith S. Dolezal, 80, passed away Oct. 28.

She was born June 29, 1925 in Cleveland, Ohio. Judith attended Goucher College, Baltimore, Md., Case Western Reserve University, and earned a master's degree at Nova University, Miami, Fla.

Judith had many accomplishments. She was a fashion model in New York City, a schoolteacher, a family counselor and a real estate broker. She lived in Ho-Ho-Kus, N.J., Boca Raton and West Palm Beach, Fla.

Her summers were spent in Greentown, Pa. and Wolfeboro.

She was an active member of First Assembly of God, Boca Raton, Fla.; First Congregational Church of Ossipee; Good Shepard United Methodist Church, West Palm Beach, Fla., where she directed the Stephen's Ministry Program, provided family counseling and was active in the choir.

She is survived by her sister, Sally Narrigan (Richard), Bryn Mawr, Pa. and her children: Sharon Franz, Sherrills Ford, N.C.; Carol Wells, Palm Beach Gardens, Fla.; Daniel Franz, Conway; Sally Franz, Santa Barbara, Calif.; Janet Nelson, Wenham, Mass.; Diane Dolezal, West Palm Beach, Fla.

She was fondly called "Chuddy" by her eight grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held at the First Congregational Church of Ossipee, Saturday, Nov. 26, at 11 a.m.

Almira May "Miney" Tufts
Died: Saturday, July 23, 2005
Age: 92

ROCHESTER - Almira May "Miney" Tufts, 92, of Lincoln Street in Rochester, died Saturday morning, July 23, at home with her family.

Tufts was born May 8, 1913 in Tuftonboro, the daughter of the late William and Martha (Wilfert) Karcher. She was raised and lived in Sanbornville for many years, and was a resident of Rochester for over 40 years.

Tufts had retired from the former Clarostat in Dover and also had worked at the Spaulding Fibre in N. Rochester.

She was a member of the Pythian Sisters, the Senior Citizens of Rochester and the Good Ole Sports of Rochester.

Tufts was predeceased by her sisters and brother: Lidie Wilkinson, Julia Karcher Laprise, Winona Oulette, Nellie Robinson, Waneta Wilkinson, Addie MacKay, Harriet Glennon, Lano Karcher and William Karcher.

Survivors include two sisters: Christine Lessard and Martha Holmes, one brother: Charles Karcher all of Rochester, two special nieces and guardians: Betty Burke of Exeter, and Bonnie Favart of Sarasota, Fla., and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Calling hours were Tuesday, July 26, from 2 to 5 p.m. followed by a funeral at 5 p.m. at the Peaslee Funeral Home, 24 Central Street in Farmington. Interment will be in the Rochester Cemetery at a later date. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to help pay funeral and interment expenses to the funeral home or to Betty Burke, 33 Hayes Park Exeter, NH 03833.

Scott M. Tinker
Died: Friday, July 22, 2005
Age: 75

WOLFEBORO - Scott M. Tinker, 75, died Friday, July 22 at the Huggins Hospital in Wolfeboro.

He was born Aug. 16, 1929 in Wolfeboro, the son of the late Herbert and Edith (Scott) Tinker.

He was a graduate of Brewster Academy, Wolfeboro and attended New England College. Tinker was a U.S. Army Veteran of the Korean Conflict serving in the Armored Tank Division.

He leaves his wife of 42 years Gail (St. Clair) Tinker, Wolfeboro; a daughter, Lee Anne Osborne and her husband Patrick, Davidsonville, Md.; two sons, Matthew S. Tinker and his wife Beth, Wolfeboro, and Jeffrey A. Tinker of Wolfeboro. He also leaves his grandchildren Zachary and Ian Osborne, and Korbin and Kassandra Tinker; and his sisters, Jo Ann Osgood, Elizabeth Jennings, and Janet Lewis all of Wolfeboro, as well as many nieces and nephews.

Calling hours were Monday, July 25, at the Lord Funeral Home in Wolfeboro. A private graveside service will be at the convenience of the family.

Donations in his memory may be made to the charity of your choice.

Harry G. Brackinridge
Died: Wednesday, July 20, 2005
Age: 88

WOLFEBORO - Harry G. Brackinridge, 88, of Wolfeboro, formerly of Abington, Pa., passed away peacefully in Wolfeboro on July 20 after a period of failing health.

He was born Aug. 10, 1916 in Ardsley, Pa., the son of Annabella and Harry Brackinridge. He joined the Abington Township Police Department in January of 1941 and retired in May of 1979.

Brackinridge enlisted in the U.S. Navy in January 1942, serving with the U.S. Navy Armed Guard, protecting America's merchant ships during World War II. He was the chief gunner of a crew stationed aboard ammunition carriers. He was discharged from the Navy in 1945 and returned to his position as a police officer.

Over his 38 years of service, Brackinridge rose through the ranks and attained his final police rank of Chief of the Detective Division. He was always highly respected by all who worked for him and the public he served. He was a member for over 60 years of the Montgomery County Fraternal Order of Police and was a past President.

In his early years on the force, Brackinridge was an award-winning marksman on the Police Pistol League. He was also a member of the Jenkintown Veterans of Foreign Wars Post and the Masonic Lodge in Jenkintown, Pa.

Brackinridge was an avid deer hunter and fisherman for over 60 years, and a coin collector. He also raised the "Beagles of Greenhill" in the 1950s and 1960s at his home in Roslyn, Pa. and his dogs won many ribbons for their field trial prowess. Many families enjoyed their lives with one of his puppies.

For many years, he was a member of the Philadelphia Horticultural Society, raising and entering prize-winning Chrysanthemums into competition.

He is survived by his beloved companion, Jean Radetzky of Wolfeboro; his sister, Isabella Barthelmeh, of Dover, Del.; his daughter, Janet L. Penny and her husband, Bill, of Sun City Center, Fla. and daughter, Marie A. Brackinridge of Wolfeboro. He is also survived by Radetzky's daughter, Carole Pineo, and her husband, Bernard of Wolfeboro, and their son, Jonathan, and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his wife, Josephine Brackinridge, three older brothers, and one nephew.

Calling hours were held on July 23 at the Lord Funeral Home in Wolfeboro. A funeral service was held July 24 at the Lord Funeral Home followed by a luncheon.

Interment service will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, July 29 at Hillside Cemetery in Roslyn, Pa. with luncheon to follow at Williamson's Restaurant in Horsham, Pa.

Brackinridge requested that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to the American Cancer Association, the American Heart Association, or charity of the giver's choice.

Wendy White
Died: Tuesday, July 19, 2005
Age: 39

TAMWORTH - Wendy (Lariviere), White, 39, of Tamworth, passed away Tuesday, July 19, at the Central Maine Medical Center in Lewiston, Maine, with her family by her side.

White was born Jan. 17, 1966 in Methuen, Mass. and grew up in Nashua. She had lived in the Ossipee area for many years.

White leaves her husband, Rusty E. White, Tamworth; her son, Rusty E. White, Jr., Tamworth, and her daughter, Raecene Elizabeth White, Tamworth. She also leaves her mother, Carol Kendall and her husband Paul, Wolfeboro; brothers, Wade Lariviere, Freedom, and Eric Lariviere, Wolfeboro; and her sisters, Linda Ivers, Chelmsford, Mass. and Kelly Lariviere, Wolfeboro.

There will be no calling hours. A Memorial Mass will be celebrated Saturday, July 30 at 11 a.m., at St. Josephs Catholic Church in Center Ossipee. Burial will be at a later date.

Lord Funeral Home, Center Ossipee, is in charge of arrangements.

Donald W. Krug
Died: Sunday, July 17, 2005
Age: 75

WOLFEBORO - Donald W. Krug, 75, of Council Tree Lane, died July 17 at Huggins Hospital in Wolfeboro.

Born January 6, 1930 in Watseka, Ill., son of the late Earl and Ina (Haste) Krug, he had lived in Wolfeboro for the past six years. Prior to that, Krug lived in Pittsfield for many years.

During the Korean Conflict, he served his country as a Medic with the United States Army. Krug worked for several companies in the Concord area as a design draftsman, most recently working for Northern Telecom.

He enjoyed woodworking, gardening, traveling in his motor home and bird-watching.

Predeceased by a brother Robert Krug, he leaves his wife of 50 years Jeannine (Golden) Krug of Wolfeboro; three sons, Donald Krug of Independence, Ky., Bradley Krug of Colorado Springs, Colo., Mathew Krug of Freedom; a daughter, Jennifer Parry of South Milford, Ind.; a brother, Calvin Krug of Ariz.; nine grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Calling hours were Tuesday, July 19, at the Baker-Gagne Funeral Home in Wolfeboro; services were Wednesday, also at the funeral home.

Issac L. (Skeet) Buswell
Died: Friday, July 15, 2005
Age: 68

CENTER OSSIPEE - Issac L. "Skeet" Buswell, 68, of Pequawket Trail, died Friday, July 15, at the Dartmouth Hitchcock Hospital in Lebanon with his loving family by his side. Buswell was born October 11, 1936, in Wolfeboro, the son of the late Issac and Catherine (Clancy) Buswell, and had lived in Center Ossipee for most of his life.

He began his long career with the New Hampshire Electric Cooperative, Ossipee Division, as a lineman and, after 40 years of service, he retired from the company as an operations supervisor, a position he held for several years.

After leaving New Hampshire Electric, he served as the head of the Wolfeboro Electric Department for two years before retiring to his home in Freedom on Ossipee Lake.

While living in Center Ossipee, he served as a member of the Center Ossipee Fire Department for several years. During the 1970s, he also owned and operated the "Skimpy Scoop," located on Moultonville Road in Center Ossipee.

Buswell leaves his wife of 48 years Mary (Neergaard) Buswell, Freedom; three sons John L. "Buzz" Buswell and his wife Yvonne, Byfield, Mass., James M. Buswell and his wife Beth, Medford, Mass. and Stephen Buswell and Denise Dosland, Center Ossipee. He also leaves five grandchildren: Michael, Emily, Matthew, Thomas and Peter Buswell.

Calling hours were Monday, July 18, at the Lord Funeral Home, 50 Moultonville Road, Center Ossipee. Funeral services were July 19 at the Moultonville United Methodist Church, and burial was in the Grant Hill Cemetery, Center Ossipee.

Donations in his memory may be made to the Visiting Nurses Association of Southern Carroll County, P.O. Box 1620, Wolfeboro, N.H. 03894 or the American Heart Association.
