Frances M. Colombo
Died: Sunday, February 13, 2005
Age: 87
ALTON - Frances M. Colombo, 87, of Heron Point Road in Alton, died suddenly Sunday, Feb. 13, at Frisbie Memorial Hospital in Rochester.
Born Dec. 14, 1917 in Akron, Ohio, she was a daughter of the late Frank and Mary (Nuccio) Pellicane. She had lived in Alton for the past three years, having moved there from Randolph, Mass. She had lived in Randolph for many years, where she had been a communicant at St. Mary's Church.
A homemaker, Frances loved to crochet and was a collector of Barbie dolls.
The widow of Peter C. Colombo, she leaves her daughter: Rose R. Blanchard of Alton; two grandchildren: Peter F. Carr of Groveland, Mass. and Felicia M. West of Derry; three great-grandchildren: Marcel L. West, Chelsea L. West and Peter F. Parlee-Carr; a brother, Samuel J. Pellicane of Quincy, Mass.; a sister, Angelina A. Anastos of Peabody, Mass.; and many nieces and nephews.
A funeral was held Feb. 16 at Peaslee Funeral Home in Alton. A funeral Mass will be held at a later date at St. Mary's Church in Randolph, Mass. with burial at St. Mary's Cemetery.
John "Sonny" Borella
Died: Friday, April 22, 2005
Age: 80
MOULTONBOROUGH - John "Sonny" Borella Jr., 80 of Severance Rd., died April 22 at Huggins Hospital in Wolfeboro.
Born in Everett, Mass. March 31, 1925, the son of the late John and Sarah (Steves) Borella Sr., he had lived in Moultonborough for 20 years, vacationing there for more than 50 years and previously living in Everett, Mass.
Borella worked as a welder for Market Forge Company in Everett for 44 years.
He was a communicant of St. Katharine Drexel Church in Wolfeboro.
A dedicated husband, father and grandfather, he was predeceased by his wife Josephine Jeanne (O'Connor) Borella in 1998. He is survived by two sons, John of Moultonborough, and Joseph, and also by four grandchildren.
Calling hours were Sunday, April 24, at the Baker-Gagne Funeral Home and Cremation Service 85 Mill St., Wolfeboro, NH.
A Mass of Christian Burial was held Monday at St. Katharine Drexel/St. Cecilia's Church on South Main St. in Wolfeboro.
Beverly A. Willard
Died: Wednesday, April 20, 2005
Age: 84
MELVIN VILLAGE - Beverly A. Willard, 84, died April 20 at Huggins Hospital, Wolfeboro, after a brief illness. She was born October 10, 1920 in Jaffery, to Phillip Bean and Aldora Gelinas Bean. She graduated from Spaulding High School and received her Registered Nurse degree from Massachusetts Memorial Hospital School of Nursing in 1942.
She is predeceased by her first husband, Herbert G. Person of Moultonborough, who died in 1955, and her second husband, Emery Willard of Melvin Village, who died in 1975.
She leaves a daughter, Cynthia A. Gunn, three grandsons; William Pollini, Todd Pollini and Christopher Gunn; three step-grandchildren; Steve Gunn, Toni Gunn and Karen Gunn; two great-grandchildren; William and Jillian Pollini. She also leaves her sisters; Barbara Bean, Phyllis Hunter and Shirley Gibbons.
Willard was a member of the Moultonborough Grange for more than 50 years, and a member of the Hikers of Melvin Village since 1946.

Linda Jeziorkowski
Died: Monday, April 18, 2005
Age: 52
LAKE RONKONKOMA, N.Y. - Linda Jeziorkowski, 52, of Lake Ronkonkoma N.Y. (formerly of Barnstead) died on April 18, after a short illness. She had been a special education paraprofessional and the smiling crossing guard for the Barnstead Elementary School since 2000.
She was the beloved wife of the late John G. She leaves her daughter Lynn (Brian Walsh) of N.Y., with whom she lived; two sons, Frederick, and her youngest son John, of Barnstead. She also leaves one grandson, Billy, four sisters and one brother.
Arrangements were entrusted to the Ruland Funeral Home in Patchogue, N.Y.
At the family's request, the Benefit Dinner/Dance for "Mrs. J," scheduled for May 7 (reported in the 4/21 issue of the Granite State News) at the Alton Bay Pavilion, has been canceled.

Grace Betts Bender
Died: Saturday, April 16, 2005
Age: 79
TUFTONBORO - Grace Betts Bender, 79, died April 16. Born in Trenton, N.J., Bender was raised in Maplewood, N.J. and attended The Washington School for Secretaries after high school. Married for 60 years to Fred Bender, she was a faithful mother and friend to their children: Joanne B. Growitz, Sarajane B. Diosi, Robert M. Bender, and Cynthia B. Scam. Lovely needlepoint artistry was her favorite. She was executive secretary for years at Darien's Red Cross Chapter, Conn., and has been a blessing to ten grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
A service of Thanksgiving for her life was held at the Troon Village Club House Monday, April 25. A service will be scheduled later in the spring at Saint Luke's Church in Darien, Conn.
Sadie Wilson Stocker
Died: Thursday, April 14, 2005
Age: 99
ROCHESTER - Sadie Wilson Stocker, 99, of 106 Chestnut Hill Road, died Thursday, April 14 at the Rochester Manor.
She was born February 15, 1906 in Northern Ireland, the daughter of Alfred and Mary (Mark) Turner. She was a former resident of Clearwater, Fla.; Watertown, N.Y.; and Dover, prior to moving to Rochester 10 years ago to live with her granddaughter Pam Rines and friend Carolyn Lawson.
Her first husband, Thomas David Wilson, died in 1977 her second husband, John J. Stocker, died in 1993. Two brothers, Fred and James Turner, also predeceased her.
She leaves a daughter, Shirley E. Rines and her husband, Mark of Wolfeboro; three grandchildren: David Rines and his wife Catherine; Alan Rines, Pamela Rines and her friend Carolyn Lawson; two great-grandchildren: Matthew Rines, and Jennifer DeCosta and her husband, Daniel; and a great-great-grandson, Cody DeCosta.
A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, April 24 at the Tasker Funeral Home, 621 Central Ave., Dover with Rev. Anne Robertson, pastor of St. John United Methodist Church, officiating. Burial will be in Pine Hill Cemetery, Dover.
