Marion E. Stockman
BARNSTEAD - Marion E. (Gray) Stockman, 79, of Parade Road, died June 19, 2004, at the Epsom Healthcare Center.
She was born Aug. 5, 1924, in Center Barnstead, the daughter of the late Elias W. and Violet ( Gray) Locke. She had resided in Barnstead her entire life.
She had worked at the Pittsfield Shoe Company in Pittsfield, and later she was an Avon Lady in Barnstead for many years.
Survivors include four sons, Larry Stockman of Gilmanton, Ronald Stockman of Pittsfield, Garrick Stockman of Concord and Michael Stockman of Barnstead; one daughter Mary Lee Glidden of Barnstead; two brothers, George Gray of Pittsfield and Wilfred Locke of Barnstead; four sisters, Arlene Smith and Carolyn Lank, both of Barnstead, Patricia Buatti of Pittsfield and Leona Abbott of Concord; one stepbrother, Harvey Locke of Barnstead; eight grandsons; two granddaughters; 15 great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her husband, Everett Lee Stockman, who died July 6, 1992; a son, Jacky Stockman; two sisters, Emma Boyd and Barbara Dow; one brother, Reginald Gray; four stepbrothers, Wesley, Garrick, Ernest and Wallace Locke; and one stepsister, Flora Wray.
There will be no calling hours. A memorial service will be held Thursday, June 24, 2004, at 2 p.m. at the Center Barnstead Christian Church Route 126 and Shackford Corner Road in Center Barnstead.
Arrangements are in the care of Peaslee's Alton Funeral Home, 12 School St. in Alton.
George A. Deschene
MEREDITH - George A. Deschene, 84, died Friday at the Veterans Administration Hospital in Manchester.
He was born and educated in Methuen, Mass., and was a resident of Lowell, Mass., for many years before moving to Meredith 23 years ago.
During World War II he served in the Army and received an honorable discharge.
Mr. Deschene was employed as a carpenter for 40 years and was a member of Union Local 111 in Lowell, Mass., before retiring in 1982.
He attended St. Charles Church in Meredith. He was a member of Laconia Elks Lodge 876, a member of the American Legion , the Veterans of Foreign Wars and the Disabled American Veterans.
Survivors include his wife of 23 years, Evelyn A. (Noury) Deschene of Meredith; three daughters, Janice G. Gallagher of Boston, Joanne E. Selfridge of West Yarmouth, Mass., and Joyce A. and her husband John Sullivan of Marston Mills, Mass.; one son, George J. Deschene of West Yarmouth, Mass.; one stepdaughter, Diane and her husband Harry McKenna of Haverhill, Mass.; one brother Emile Deschene of Meredith; 10 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by a daughter, Jane L. Cusano.
Family and friends may call on Tuesday from 4-8 p.m. at the Pollard Funeral Home Inc., 233 Lawrence St., Methuen, Mass., 01844.
A funeral Mass will be celebrated on Wednesday at 10 a.m. at Sacred Heart Church in Lawrence, Mass. Burial will follow in Sacred Heart Cemetery in Andover, Mass.

Lawrence Moss
LACONIA - Lawrence "Larry" J. Moss, 38, of 13 Blueberry Lane, died Thursday, July 29, 2004, at the Lakes Region General Hospital, Laconia.
Mr. Moss was born Jan. 5, 1966, in Tacoma, Wash., the son of Jerome and Roberta (Jacobs) Moss.
He had been a resident of Laconia for the past 10 years, coming from Newport, Maine.
Survivors include his wife of five years, Tricia Moss of Laconia; three sons, Larry Moss of Grafton and Robert Moss and Nathan Moss, both of Laconia; a daughter, Kianna Moss of Laconia; two stepdaughters, Ryann Cram and Kali Lacourse, both of Laconia; a brother, Daniel Moss of California; three sisters, Dotti Moss of Maine, Kristi Moss and Krystal Moss, both of Missouri; several nieces and nephews.
Calling hours will be held on Wednesday, Aug. 4, 2004, from 2-4 p.m. at the Wilkinson-Beane Funeral Home, 164 Pleasant St., Laconia. A funeral service will follow the calling hours at 4 p.m. at the funeral home. A private burial will be held at a later date. Wilkinson-Beane Funeral Home & Cremation Services is in charge of the arrangements.
David White
BELMONT - David L. White, 73, of 71 Lamprey Road, died Friday, July 30, 2004, at the Lakes Region General Hospital, Laconia.
Mr. White was the widower of Isabelle (Stafford) White, who died Nov. 26, 2003.
Mr. White was born April 6, 1931, in Bethel, Vt., the son of Albert and Edna (Proctor) White.
He lived in Bennington, Vt. for several years before moving to Belmont, 40 years ago. He was employed at the Lakes Region General Hospital.
Mr. White enjoyed carpentry and gardening. Survivors include three sons, Christopher A. White and Steven White, both of Belmont, and Jamison D. White of Randolph, Vt.; two daughters, Peggy-Jo Shaw of Gilford, and Alane F. Newton of Belmont; nine grandchildren, Chris White of Alton, Tim White and Steve White, both of Belmont, Corey Shaw and Raime Shaw, both of Gilford, and Hayley Shaw of Malden, Mass., Kerry Anne Newton and Stephanie White, both of Belmont, and Melanie White of California; two great-grandchildren, Jordan Buckley of Canterbury and Jasmine Sallies of Meredith; a brother, Charles White, of New Jersey; three sisters, Carol Dewey of New York, Sally Decker of Florida and Ida Mae of New York; several nephews and nieces.
There will be no calling hours. A private funeral service will be held at the N.H. State Veterans Cemetery, Boscawen. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Inter-Lakes Christmas Fund, PO Box 1516, Meredith, NH 03253. Arthur F. Wilder
LACONIA - Arthur F. Wilder, 79, of 45 Overland St., died Saturday July 31, 2004, at his home.
Mr. Wilder was born April 8, 1925, in Worcester, Mass., the son of Herbert W. and Ella M. (Rice) Wilder.
He had been a resident of Laconia since 1948, coming from Jaffrey.
Mr. Wilder was employed by the Laconia school system and was the custodian at the Pleasant Street School from 1958 until he retired in 1990.
He was a member of the Bible Speaks Church. He was an avid fisherman.
Survivors include his wife Rachel (Fellows) Wilder of Laconia; three sons, Fred Wilder New Milford, Conn., Leon Wilder of Goffstown, and Glen Wilder of Belmont; a daughter, Linda Collins of Fort Collins, Colo.; two stepsons, David McGowan of Laconia and Daniel McGowan of Hooksett; a stepdaughter, Terry McGowan of Lakeport; two grandchildren; three stepgrandchildren.
He was predeceased by his first wife, Ethel T. Wilder, who died in 1987.
Calling hours will be held on Tuesday, Aug. 2, 2004, from 6-8 p.m. at the Wilkinson-Beane Funeral Home, 164 Pleasant St., Laconia, using the Carriage House entrance. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, Aug. 3, 2004, at 11 a.m. at the funeral home. The Rev. Robert Horne, pastor of the Bible Speaks Church, will officiate. Burial will be in Union Cemetery.

Florence Chaisson
ASHLAND - Florence E. Chaisson died July 30, 2004, at her home on Summer Street after a long illness.
She was born June 22, 1924, in Ashland, the daughter of Colby Lyford and Irene (Cote) Lyford.
She graduated in 1942 from Ashland High School and attended Keene State College, and taught at St. Mary’s School in Franklin for many years.
She was a member of St. Agnes Church and the Dupuis Cross Post 15 American Legion Auxiliary.
Survivors include her husband of 57 years, Aurol of Ashland; two brothers, Norman Lyford and Ralph Lyford, both of Ashland; three sisters, Thelma McCormack and Jeanette Stewart, both of Ashland, and Gloria Glidden of Campton; many nieces and nephews.
A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated Tuesday, Aug. 3, 2004, at 11 a.m., in St. Agnes Church. Friends may call Monday, Aug. 2, 2004, from 7-9 p.m. at the Dupuis Funeral Home.
The Dupuis Funeral Home, Ashland, is in charge of arrangements.
Timothy Coffey
FRANKLIN - Timothy Patrick Coffey, 45, a former resident of Franklin, died Wednesday, July 28, 2004, following an accident at a work site in Labrador (Newfoundland) Canada.
He was born in Franklin, April 26, 1959, the son of Thomas J. Coffey and Dorothy M. (Merrill) Coffey. He attended schools in Franklin and was a graduate of Franklin High School, Class of 1977. He attended the University of New Hampshire in Durham.
In 1987 Tim moved to Rangeley, Maine, where he lived for three years before moving to Cordova, Alaska. In Cordova, he worked for the U.S. Forest Service, living there for three years.
He loved the outdoors and always pursued jobs in new and exotic places. Wherever he worked he was always appreciated for his competency and compassion, making lasting friendships around the world.
He worked in Antarctica as the South Pole station manager for the 1996 Winterover season and also worked on the glacier in Greenland at Summit Camp, supporting research conducted by the University of New Hampshire. He had great concern for those in need, working at a couple of posts in war-torn countries with Concern in Angola, Africa and with Doctors Without Borders in Sri Lanka.
At the time of his death, he was employed as a radar dome installation and repair specialist in Labrador installing Radomes for L3 Communications, (ESSCO) a company based in Concord, Mass. An adventurous man, Tim enjoyed mountain and ice climbing around the world venturing to the roof of the world in the Peruvian Andes and the volcanoes in Mexico. Two of his passions were traveling and photography (amassing a large collection of pictures from everywhere he traveled).
He enjoyed spending time with family and friends at Mooselookmeguntic Lake in Rangeley, Maine, a special place he ultimately called home.
Tim was predeceased by an infant sister, Mary B. Coffey in 1966.
Survivors include his mother and stepfather, Dorothy M. (Merrill) and Richard D. Ackerman of Franklin; his father and stepmother, Thomas J. and Lynn (Heffernan) Coffey of Sanford, Maine; his brother and sister-in-law, Thomas J. Jr. and Karen (McGinn) Coffey of Waltham, Mass.; two nephews, Daniel and Tyler; aunts, uncles and cousins.
Calling hours will be Wednesday from 7-9 p.m. at the William F. Smart Sr. Memorial Home, Franklin-Tilton Road in Tilton. A celebration of Tim's life will be held Thursday at 11 a.m. in the memorial home.

Mutsumi Y. Nielsen
SANBORNTON - Mrs. Mutsumi Y. Nielsen, 72, formerly of Hermit Woods Sanbornton, died at her daughter’s home in New Jersey on Jan. 26, 2004.
Family members include her husband of 47 years, Louis "Dusty" Nielsen, of Spring Hill, Fla.; five children: Sharon Gallo of Sparta, N.J., Jensine Hilliard of Northfield, Christine Marceau of Meredith, Glenn Nielsen of Meredith, and Cecilia O’Neill of Windham; 10 granchildren; and several relatives in Japan.
Memorial services will be held Friday, Aug. 6 at 11 a.m. at Thibault-Neun Funeral Home, 143 Franklin St., Franklin. Interment will follow at NH State Veterans Cemetery, Boscawen.
