Regina F. Dionne
GILFORD - Mrs. Regina F. Dionne, 71, of 9 Sargent Place, #56, died at the Lakes Region General Hospital, Laconia, Wednesday July 30, 2003.
Mrs. Dionne was born Sept. 7, 1931, in New Britain, Conn., the daughter of Raymond and Yvonne (Dutile) Fortin. She had been a resident of the Lakes Region for 54 years, coming from Dover.
Mrs. Dionne was a communicant of Sacred Heart Church, Laconia.
Survivors include her husband of 51 years, Norman R. Dionne of Gilford; two sons, Gary S. Dionne of Laconia and Mark N. Dionne of Gilford; a daughter JoAnn T. Dionne of Portsmouth; three grandchildren; a sister Muriel Guilmette of Gilford; two nephews and four nieces. She was predeceased by her parents and a brother, Richard A. Fortin Sr., in 2002.
Calling hours will be held today from 6-9 p.m. at the Wilkinson-Beane Funeral Home, 164 Pleasant St., Laconia, using the Carriage House entrance.
A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated in Sacred Heart Church, Laconia, Friday, Aug. 1, at 10 a.m. The Rev. Adrien Longchamps, pastor of the church will officiate. Burial will be in Sacred Heart Cemetery, Laconia.
In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to Community Health & Hospice, 780 North Main St., Laconia, NH 03246.

Rita A. Fortier
LACONIA - Rita A. (Simoneau) Fortier, 81, of 85 Summer St., died early Wednesday, July 30, 2003 at her home.
She was born Nov. 29, 1921, in Laconia, the daughter of the late Donat J. and Lucille M. (Spenard) Simoneau. She had attended Sacred Heart School and Laconia High School and had been a lifetime resident of Laconia.
She was employed for many years as an electronics assembler at Wilcom Products Inc. of Laconia, retiring in 1989.
She was a communicant of Sacred Heart Church and a member of Les Dames des Canados.
She was predeceased by her husband, Arthur J. Fortier, who died in 1974.
Survivors include a son, Norman A. Fortier of Gilford; granddaughters, Michele M. Drouin and Christine R. Rueffert, both of Laconia; great-grandchildren, Jillian L. Stackhouse and Tyler J. Drouin, both of Laconia; a brother, Raymond E. Simoneau of Laconia; sisters, Cecile A. Bolduc of Laconia and Claire J. DeRoy of Tilton; several nieces and nephews.
Calling hours will be Friday, Aug. 1, from 6-8 p.m. at the Dewhirst Funeral Home, 1061 Union Ave., Laconia. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Saturday, Aug. 2, at 10 a.m. in Sacred Heart Church with the Rev. Adrien R. Longchamps, pastor as celebrant. Burial will follow in Sacred Heart Cemetery, Laconia.

James Ames
FRANKLIN - James Wesley "Wes" Ames, 72, of Spruce Court, died June 9, 2004, at Franklin Regional Hospital in Franklin.
He was born in South Tamworth, the son of James R. and Ada E. (Eldridge) Ames.
He grew up in South Tamworth and attended Tamworth schools. He moved to Bristol in 1978 and had been a resident of Franklin for the past five years.
At an early age, he worked in the logging business with his father and then drove an oil truck for Dube Murphy, in Center Ossipee, for 14 years. After moving to Bristol, he drove a logging truck for several different loggers in the area, from 1978 until his retirement in 1995.
He loved to drive trucks, travel and visit all his children and grandchildren.
Survivors include his wife of 23 years, Mary E. (Hutchins) of Franklin; one son, Alan A. Ames of Center Ossipee; one daughter, Susan Lyndes of South Tamworth; one stepdaughter, Lory Gilpatrick of New Hampton; four stepsons, Michael Plummer of Ashland, Timothy Dow of Franklin, Page Dow of Laconia, and Mark Dow of Hill; four grandchildren, 11 stepgrandchildren and four great-grandchildren; one brother, Ronald Ames of Moultonboro; one sister, Gladys "Sis" Davis of New Bern, N.C.; two aunts, Anna Meyer of Meredith and Helen Whiting of Ossipee; nieces, nephews, and cousins.
There are no calling hours. A graveside service will be held on Sunday at 2 p.m. in the Riverside Cemetery, Plymouth. The Rev. Henry Frost, pastor of the Loudon Baptist Church, will officiate.

William H. Noyes
PLYMOUTH - William H. Noyes, 88, of Parker Street, died June 8, 2004, at Speare Memorial Hospital in Plymouth.
He was born Oct. 30, 1915, in Bristol, the son of Herbert and Frances (Ryan) Noyes.
He lived most of his life in the Plymouth area. He was a graduate of Bristol High School and New Hampton Prep School.
Mr. Noyes attended the University of Vermont in Burlington and graduated from Burdett College in Boston.
He was an insurance agent in the Plymouth area since 1939 when he joined his father in operating the Noyes Insurance Agency. He owned and operated the agency for many years, retiring in November 2003.
Mr. Noyes was a 32nd Degree Mason and a member of the Olive Branch Lodge 16 of Plymouth and the Bektash Temple. He was a member of the Knights of Pythias of Bristol and a member of the Durand-Haley American Legion Post 66 in Plymouth. He was also a past member of the Order of Eastern Star of Plymouth, a member of the International Order of Odd Fellows of Plymouth, a former member of the Plymouth Rotary Club, and a former director of the Bristol Bank, and was a trustee of the Plymouth Guarantee Savings Bank.
Mr. Noyes was a World War II Navy veteran, serving in an amphibious unit.
He enjoyed hunting and fishing.
Mr. Noyes was predeceased by a son, Thom O. Noyes, who died in 1977.
Survivors include his wife of 66 years, Anyce (Barber) Noyes of Plymouth; two sons, William E. Noyes and John H. Noyes, both of Plymouth; five grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren and one niece.
There will be no calling hours. A graveside service will be held at Homeland Cemetery in Bristol at the convenience of the family.

Eric S. Anderson
LACONIA - Services for Eric S. Anderson, 88, late of 5 Nutmeg Circle, Laconia and formerly of Manchester, Conn., will be held Sunday, June 13, 2004, at 2:30 p.m. in the Memorial Garden of St. Luke’s Lutheran Church, Gales Ferry, Conn., with the Rev. Stephen Schmidt officiating.
Mr. Anderson, died May 5, 2004, in Laconia, and is survived by his wife, Hazel E. Anderson of Laconia; a son, Alan S. Anderson of Scottsdale, Ariz.; a daughter, Joan L. Lambert of Ledyard, Conn.; two grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Eliot Wyman
WOLFEBORO - Eliot Pingree Wyman, 63, of Goodrich Road, Wolfeboro, died at his home June 16, 2004, from lung cancer.
Born June 19, 1940, in Manchester, son of the late Eliot U. and Grace (Pingree) Wyman, he had lived in Wolfeboro most of his life after moving to the town from Candia as a child.
He attended Carpenter School and Brewster Academy, both in Wolfeboro, and Tilton Academy in Tilton.
Mr. Wyman served in the Air Force refueling aircraft in Thailand during the Vietnam War. In the Air Force he was a jet aircraft mechanic and later a military policeman. He retired from the Air Force after more than 20 years of service.
After his retirement he became a member in the Hariman Hale VFW Post, American Legion, Kingswood Golf Club, the Morning Star Masonic Lodge, where he was a past master, and the Simadi Shrine Club. He was the Wolfeboro animal control officer from 1984 to 1996, a rescue lieutenant in the Wolfeboro Rescue Squad, and operated two businesses: a golf club repair shop and Wyman's Trucking.
Mr. Wyman enjoyed fishing, hunting, golf, motorcycles, animals and helping people.
Survivors include his wife of 43 years Marilee (Ford) Wyman of Wolfeboro; two sons and daughters-in-law, Eliot U. Wyman II and his wife Julie of Dover, and Chief Master Sgt. Robert L. Wyman and his wife JoAnne of Odenton, Md.; a sister, Lois (Wyman) Carey of Wolfeboro; four grandchildren, Air Force Sr. Airman Christopher R. Wyman who just returned from Iraq, Keith E. Wyman, Daniel Reves and Michael Wyman; two great-grandchildren; several nieces, nephews and cousins; and his best friend, Kenny Jones.
Calling Hours will be 7-9 p.m. Friday, June 18, with a Masonic service at 7:30 p.m. at the Baker-Gagne Funeral Home and Cremation Service, 85 Mill St., Wolfeboro.
The funeral service will be 10 a.m. Saturday at the First Congregational Church in Wolfeboro. A graveside service with military honors will be held Saturday at 1:30 p.m. at Riverside Cemetery, Plymouth.

Marshall French
MEREDITH - Marshall French, 87, of Meredith died June 4, 2004, at the Golden View Health Care Center in Meredith.
He was born in Manchester on Dec. 16, 1916.
He was a graduate of the Steams School in Mont Vernon and the New England School of Embalming and Funeral Directors.
Mr. French founded the French Funeral Home in Goffstown in 1942 and was president of the New Hampshire Funeral Directors and Embalming Association from 1946-1948.
He moved to Meredith in 1957 and purchased Meredith Motor Co. Inc., which is still owned and operated by the French family.
He was a selectman for the Town of Meredith from 1969-1972 and a Representative to the N.H. Legislature 1971-1984. He was appointed Majority Leader of the state House of Representatives in 1977 and served as Speaker Pro Tem in the House from 1981-1982.
He was a member of the Rotary Club and a recipient of the Paul Harris Fellowship. He was also a Mason and a Shriner, and a member of the Congregational Church of Meredith.
He is survived by his wife of 68 years, Susan French of Meredith; three sons, Peter A. French of Holderness, David L. French of Meredith, and John E. French of Meredith; seven grandchildren; one great-grandchild; four nieces and three nephews.
A family graveside service will be held in the New Boston Cemetery, New Boston, on Monday at 2 p.m.
