Harold G. Carlson
NEW HAMPTON - Harold G. Carlson of Coolidge Woods Road, New Hampton, died at his home surrounded by his family on Oct. 6, 2003 after a brief but courageous bout with cancer.
He was born in New Hampton on Nov. 24, 1933, the son of Peter N. and Ruth (Larson) Carlson. He was a lifelong resident of New Hampton.
Mr. Carlson graduated from Bristol High School. He served in the Navy.
He worked for Rossi Construction in his early years and then worked as a machinist. He was a tool and die maker for Hebert Foundry in Laconia. He then was a general foreman for Samuel Eastman in East Concord. His last employment was for A.E. Esty Machine and Tool Co. in Bristol.
Mr. Carlson was a former member of the Bristol Baptist Church in Bristol serving as Sunday school superintendent and taught a teen Bible class. He also sang in the choir. Mr. Carlson was a member of the New Hampton Community Church in New Hampton, serving as chairperson of the Diaconate.
He was a member of Union Lodge 79 in Bristol and a past patron of Sawhegenit Chapter 52 of Bristol.
He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Ethel May (Matthews) Carlson, two sons, Dr. Eric and his wife Leslie Carlson of Surry and Mark Carlson of New Hampton; a granddaughter, Elizabeth Carlson of Surry; a sister Louise Borry of Plymouth; a brother Peter Carlson of Newport; and cousins, nephews and nieces. He was predeceased by a son, John, in 1978.
Calling hours will be held on Wednesday, Oct. 8, from 5-8 p.m. at Mayhew Funeral Home, 12 Langdon St., Plymouth. Masonic services by Union Lodge 79 at 7:30 p.m.
A funeral service will be held at the New Hampton Community Church, Main Street, New Hampton, on Thursday, Oct. 9, at 2 p.m. with the Rev. Scott Mitchell officiating. Burial will follow at the New Hampton Village Cemetery.

Daryl C. Levesque
TILTON - Daryl C. Levesque, 41, of 379 West Main St., Tilton, formerly of Amherst and Mont Vernon, died Saturday, Oct. 4, 2003. He was participating in a cross-country motor tour in Clifton, Ariz., with fellow riders associated with the BRAG Association and sustained fatal injuries in a motorcycle accident.
Mr. Levesque was born June 12, 1962 in Nashua, the son of Charles H. and Shirley J.(Pratt) Levesque. He was a 1980 graduate of Bishop Guertin High School in Nashua and later attended New Hampshire Vocational Institute for two years.
He was employed at Merchants Nissan in Concord as an ASE Certified Master Technician and was considered to be a wonderful team member by his fellow workers.
He was a motorcycle enthusiast and also enjoyed many other outside sports and activities.
He was predeceased by his father, Charles H. Levesque; a brother, Darrin S. Levesque; and a daughter, Samantha J. Levesque.
He is survived by a daughter, Alicia Marie Levesque of Tilton; his mother, Shirley J.(Pratt) Levesque of Mont Vernon and Tilton; his loving companion, Carole Lucia Chase of Tilton; her two children, Shawn and Rebecca of Tilton; his former wife, Stephanie M. Walsh of Meredith; numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
Calling hours will be Thursday from 5-9 p.m. in the William F. Smart Memorial Home, Franklin-Tilton Road in Tilton. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Friday at 10 a.m. in St. Mary of the Assumption Church, 10 Chestnut St. in Tilton. Private burial will be in the family lot of Greenlawn Cemetery in Mont Vernon at a later date. Albert J. Chisholm
BRISTOL - Albert J. Chisholm, 89, of Deangelo Drive, died Tuesday Oct. 7, 2003, at Lakes Region General Hospital.
He was born in Bedford, Mass., the son of Kenneth and Annie (Powell) Chisholm. He was a longtime resident of Redding, Mass., and resided in Sandwich, Mass., before moving to Bristol in 1994.
Prior to retirement, Mr. Chisholm worked in his family's business, Sparrow-Chisholm, Co., which sold wholesale textile dry goods.
While living in Redding, he was active in his church, and with the Knights of Columbus. He served in the reserve police department and was the pistol instructor for the Redding Police Department.
Since moving to Bristol, Mr. Chisholm has been an active member of St. Timothy Church.
Family members include his wife of 59 years, M. Grace (Daly) Chisholm of Bristol; four sons, Michael T. Chisholm of Hudson; David A. Chisholm of Bedford; Kenneth D. Chisholm of Ashburnham, Mass. and Barry A. Chisholm of Londonderry; and 13 grandchildren. He was anticipating the arrival of his first great-grandchild. He has one sister-in-law Jaqueline A. Daly who has been his caregiver during his declining health.
Calling hours will be Thursday, Oct. 9, from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. at the Emmons Funeral Home, 115 South Main St., Bristol. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Friday at 11 a.m. at the Our Lady of Grace Chapel, on the corner of Route 3A and West Shore Road. Burial will follow in Homeland Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the St. Timothy Church, PO Box 37, Bristol, NH 03222.
Marianne K. Ryan
BELMONT - Marianne K. Ryan, 61, of 33 Circle Drive died Nov. 7, 2003 in her residence.
She was born in Boston, Mass., on July 4, 1942, the adopted daughter of John Paul and Anna Gertrude (Kennedy) Shaughnessy.
She was raised in Lynnfield, Mass., and was a graduate of Lynnfield High School. Ms. Ryan was involved in law enforcement and earned a degree in criminal justice from Andover College.
She moved to Belmont in 1980 and had been employed by Delta Dental in Concord for the past ten years.
She enjoyed playing bingo and reading and was known as a lover of all small animals including several stray cats she had taken in.
Family members include two daughters, Deborah Malone and her husband James of Gilmanton and Teresa Malone and her husband David Sr. of Belmont; and six grandchildren, Jennifer Gray of Virginia, Senior Airman Clayton Gray of Hill AFB, Utah, Christina Gray of Layton, Utah, David Malone Jr. of Belmont, Sean Malone of Belmont and Michael Malone of Belmont.
A memorial reception will be held in the Simoneau & Lambert Funeral Home, 139 Church St., Laconia, on Thursday from 6 to 8 p.m. Private urn burial will be in Puritan Lawn Cemetery, Peabody, Mass., at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the New Hampshire Humane Society, PO Box 572, Laconia, NH 03247.
Ulysses C. Simoneau
LACONIA - A graveside service for Ulysses C. Simoneau, 87, of 8 Taylor Home Drive, and formerly of 24 Spring St., who died at the Lakes Region General Hospital on Oct. 12, 2003, will be held at the family lot at Smith Meeting House Cemetery, Gilmanton, on Saturday, Nov. 15, 2003 at 1 p.m.

Douglas E. Way
LACONIA - A memorial service for Douglas E. Way, 85, of 19 Bois Circle, who died at the Congregate Living Center, Taylor Community, on Oct. 25, 2003, will be held on Saturday, Nov. 15, 2003, at 2 p.m. at the Laconia Congregational Church, 18 Veterans Square, Laconia.

Franklin H. Stackpole
CENTER OSSIPEE - Franklin H. Stackpole, 87, formerly of Dover and Laconia, died Feb. 2, 2004, at Huggins Hospital following a period of failing health.
He was born in Dover on July 6, 1916, the son of W. Raymond and Margaret (Fenton) Stackpole.
He was a veteran of World War II having been discharged from the Navy.
Mr. Stackpole retired Feb. 10, 1971, from the Portsmouth Naval Shipyard where he had been employed as a flame cutter.
His love of the water brought him many enjoyable times on his boat at the lake cruising and fishing.
He attended Saint Joseph Church in Laconia.
He was predeceased by his wife, Dorothy A. (Foster) Stackpole, who died March 14, 1995; three brothers, William, Raymond and an infant brother; and two grandchildren, Mary and Shane Quimby.
Survivors include his daughter, Dianne Quimby of Center Ossipee and her companion, David Chandler; three grandsons, Sean, Seth and Jacob Quimby.
Relatives and friends may call Thursday, from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. at the Tasker Funeral Home, 621 Central Ave. Dover.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Friday at 12:30 p.m. in Saint Mary Church, corner of Chestnut and Third streets with the Rev. Fritz Cerullo, OSA, pastor, as celebrant.
Burial will follow in Saint Mary New Cemetery, Dover.

Albert Vallee
LACONIA - Albert "Ab" Vallee, 89, of 25 Union Ave., formerly of Parish, Maine, died at the Lakes Region General Hospital on Thursday, Jan. 29, 2004, after a brief illness.
Mr. Vallee was born June 28, 1914, in South Paris, Maine, the son of Joseph and Alphonsa (Parmelee) Vallee.
Mr. Vallee served in the Army during World War II.
In December, Mr. Vallee’s friends surprised him with a party to honor his dedication and commitment to the Laconia Lodge of Elks 876. His friendly wit and ready smile will be deeply missed.
Mr. Vallee is survived by several nieces and nephews and many good friends in Laconia. He was predeceased by his friend and companion of many years, Irja Roux.
There will be no calling hours or funeral service.
Burial will be at the convenience of the family at Sacred Heart Cemetery, Laconia.
