Olive Thibodeau-Dumontier
BERLIN -- A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated for Olive Thibodeau-Dumontier, of Berlin on June 7, 2008 at St. Anne Church of Good Shepherd Parish with Fr. Richard Roberge as celebrant. The cantor was Madeleine Jeffrey, accompanied by Susan Ramsey as organist.
The pall was placed by her son and daughter in law, Edgar and Mary Lou Thibodeau. Edgar also placed the cross. Serving as readers was her grandchildren, Katie Salatino and Michael Thibodeau, Jr. The offertory gifts were presented by her great-grandchildren, Katie and Matthew Salatino.
Interment followed the services in St. Anne Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers were her grandsons, Jay, Michael and Paul Thibodeau; her great-grandsons, Brett and Michael Thibodeau, Jr., and her grandson-in-law, Michael Salatino.
There were many friends and family members that attended the services.

Sara Jean Buckley
BERLIN -- A Celebration of Life was held for Sara Jean Buckley, of Berlin on Monday, June 16, 2008 in the chapel of the Fleury-Patry Funeral Home with Sr. Monique Therriault officiating. Recollections of Sara’s life were shared by her friends, Danielle Couture, Jamie Lee Cooney and Chloe Harrington. A poem was read by family friend Lucille Hickey and a letter from her brother-in-law to be was also read by Sr. Monique.
Reflections of Sara were written down during a time of remembrance and presented to the family as a keepsake.
There were many family members and friends who attended the services.

Mrs. Bella Henrietta (Biron) Gaudette
Mrs. Bella Henrietta (Biron) Gaudette, age 86, formerly of 23 Washington Street, Gorham, passed away Sunday evening December 7, 2003at the St. Joseph Hospital in Nashua, where she had been admitted as a patient. She had currently been residing at the Harvest Side Nursing Home in Milford.
She was born in Gorham on July 10, 1917, the daughter of Joseph and Philomene (Tanguay) Biron.
A lifelong resident of Gorham, Mrs. Gaudette was a communicant of Holy Family Parish. She was a former member of the Holy Family Church Choir, and was also the Head Organist at Holy Family church for 24 years from 1964 to 1988. She was a Pianist for R.S.V.P. French Folk Lore Group for 10 years. Prior to her retirement in 1979, she had been employed as the assistant treasurer for the Gorham Savings Bank. Bella was a graduate of Gorham High School, Class of 1935, where she was a co-valedictorian of her class.
She is survived by: three sons, Richard Gaudette of San Rafael, Calif., Michael Gaudette and his wife Roberta of Mont Vernon and Donald Gaudette of Tyngsboro, Mass.; one daughter, Mrs. Neville (Janice) Hayes of Gorham; 11 grandchildren, and 13 great-grandchildren; a brother, Richard Biron of Mill Valley, Calif.; and one sister, Mrs. Beatrice Doyer of Biddeford, Me.; several nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her parents, her husband Henry Gaudette in 1974, seven brothers, Wilfred, Albert, Alcide, Arthur, Oscar, William and Lawrence Biron, and one sister Irene Ray.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, Dec. 11 at 11 a.m. at Holy Family Church in Gorham. Interment will be at Holy Family Cemetery, with committal prayers at the church. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, Dec. 10 from 7 to 9 p.m. at the Fleury-Patry Funeral Home, 33 Exchange St., Gorham.
John J. Beckwith
Mr. John J. Beckwith, 81, of 118 Denmark St., Berlin, passed away on Monday, Dec. 8, 2003 at the Androscoggin Valley Hospital in Berlin. He was born in St. Elie, PQ, Canada on April 3, 1922, the son of James J. and Mary (Boulanger) Beckwith. He immigrated to the United States of America as a child and attended school in Berlin. He was a U.S. Army Veteran of World War II, having served in the European Theater. He was employed as a pipe fitter for Brown Company and James River Corporation, retiring in 1977. He was a member of the Ryan-Scammon Post American Legion and the White Mountain Post No. 2520 Veterans of Foreign Wars. He was also a member of St. Kieran Church, now known as Good Shepherd Parish. He was an avid outdoorsman and hunted and fished throughout the North Country.
Members of the family include one son, James Beckwith and his wife Niki of Berlin; two grandsons, Jason Beckwith and wife Christine of Goffstown and Justin Beckwith and wife Diana of Berlin; one sister, Mary Campbell of Englewood, Fla.; and nieces, nephews and cousins.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, Dec. 10 at 1 p.m. in the Chapel of the Bryant Funeral Home, 180 Hillside Ave., Berlin. Interment will be in the St. Kieran Cemetery. There will be no calling hours.
Helen (Coates) Stiles
BERLIN--Mrs. Helen (Coates) Stiles, 72, of Berlin, NH., formerly of Columbia, NH, passed away suddenly Monday evening, Dec. 8, 2003 at her home. Mrs. Stiles was born Nov. 24, 1931 in Berlin, the daughter of Roy and Mertie (Lang) Coates. She was a homemaker and enjoyed working with wood, beading, making crafts and quilting.
Mrs. Stiles is survived by her daughter, Regena Elliot of West Dummer, NH; her son, Steven Stiles of West Pueblo, CO; her mother Mertie Stiles of West Milan; a sister, Elaine Fontaine of Dalton, NH; two grandchildren, Steven and Michael McLain; and five great-grandchildren.
Mrs. Stiles was predeceased by her father and her husband, Clayton "Buddy" Stiles, Jr., on August 12, 2002.
There will be no calling hours. Private family services will be held at a later date. Condolences may be offered to the family on-line by going to www.jenkinsfuneralhome.net. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the Jenkins Funeral Home of Colebrook.
Adeline Gillespie
BERLIN--A Funeral Service for Adeline Gillespie was held at Fleury-Patry Funeral Home in the Chapel, on Thursday, January 22, 2004, at 10:30 am. The memorial service was officiated by Rev. Tom Jackson of Whitefield, NH, who also did the committal prayers. Interment was in the NH State Veterans Cemetery, in Boscawen, NH.
There were several relatives and friends from in and out of state in attendance.
Clarence J. “Doc” Lozier
GORHAM--A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated for Mr. Clarence J. “Doc” Lozier on Tuesday, February 10, 2004, at the Holy family Church in Gorham, following recitation and remembrance at the Fleury-Patry Funeral Home in Berlin.
The celebrant of the Mass was Rev. Richard Roberge, who also held the committal prayers. Interment followed at St. Anne Cemetery. The altar server was J. P. Poirier.
The pallbearers were: Raoul Boucher, Andre Gauthier, Romeo Croteau, Donald Duquette, Leo Gagne and Henri Riendeau.
There were several relatives and friends in attendance to include nieces and nephews from New Hampshire, Maine and Virginia.
Carl Giordono
BERLIN--A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated for Mr. Carl Giordono, age 79, of Berlin, NH, on Saturday, January 31, 2004, at St Anne Church. Celebrating the mass was Rev. John MacKenzie including the reading of the committal prayers. Interment was at St. Kieran’s Cemetery in Berlin.
The pallbearers were Police Officers from Berlin Police Department which included: Chief Peter Morency, Lieutenant Brad Supry, Corporal Richard McClure, Corporal Dan Buteau, Corporal Don Gendron, Officer Luke Poulin, alternate Officer Dennis Cornish.
Police Chief Peter Morency presented a flag to Mrs. Giordono following the mass.
There were many family members and friends who attended locally and out of town.
Patrick Pelletier
BERLIN--A funeral service were held on Saturday, January 31, 2004, at the Fleury-Patry Funeral Home 72 High Street, Berlin, for Mr. Patrick Pelletier, 39 of Berlin, NH.
Following the chapel service, Sister Monique Therriault recited the committal prayers. Interment was at Mt Calvary Cemetery.
There were numerous family and friends locally and out of town who attended the service.
Paul McKenzie
BERLIN--A mass of Christian Burial was celebrated for Mr. Paul McKenzie, 77, of Berlin, NH, on Monday, January 19, 2004 at St. Anne Church of Good Shepherd Parish, Berlin, NH. Celebrating the mass was Rev. John MacKenzie including the reading of committal prayers. Interment was at the Mt. Calvary Cemetery.
The reading was done by his granddaughters, Pamela and Monica McKenzie. His grandchildren, Tina Costello and Cody Gauthier, presented the offertory gifts.
The pallbearers were Paul Roberts, nephew, Gary Roberts, nephew, Gordon Roberts, nephew, David Roberts, great nephew, Roland Sanschagrin, friend, and Edgar Sanschagrin friend.
Family members and friends attending the mass included numerous guests from, Berlin, Gorham, Shelburne, Milan and Dummer.
Out of town guests included: Beatrice and Arthur Gaignard from Woburn, PQ, Leo Gaignard from Mecantic, PQ, Germaine and Victorin Fortier from Charny, PQ, Francine and Andre Pepin, Karine Pepin, and Mathieu Blord from Montreal, PQ, Pamela McKenzie, Vanessa Moses, Austin Moses and Kevin Meralot from Allenstown, NH, Tina abd Brock Costello from Webster, NH, Gary and Betty Roberts from Littleton, NH, Gordon Roberts from Concord, NH, Sharyn D’Eon from Keene, NH, Joanne and Normand Sanschagrin from Gilmanton, NH, and Roland and Sue Brault Jr., from Charlestown, NH.
Richard L. Turmel
BERLIN--Funeral services for Mr. Richard L. Turmel were held on Saturday, February 7, 2004 at 11 a.m. at the Chapel of the Fleury-Patry Funeral Home. The memorial service was officiated by Deacon Merle Albert, who also conducted the committal prayers. Burial followed at the St. Anne Cemetery. The organist was Jeanne Theberge.
There were several relatives and friends who attended the service from both in and out of town.
