Helen (Gagnon) Frenette
Helen (Gagnon) Frenette, 78, of Dumont Road, Hudson, died Wednesday, October 27, 2004 at the Southern New Hampshire Medical Center in Nashua. She was born July 31, 1926 in Brighton, Massachusetts, daughter of the late Arthur and Isabelle (Poole) Gagnon.
Mrs. Frenette was the widower of Lionel "Leo" Frenette who died in June of this year.
She was a parishioner or St. John the Evangelist Church in Hudson, where she was also a member of the Ladies Guild. Mrs. Frenette was also a member of the Hudson Seniors and the American Legion Auxiliary.
At one time she was the manager of Meadows Drive-In in Hudson. She enjoyed playing bingo and was very lucky with scratch tickets. Mrs. Frenette loved to crochet and will always be remembered for her famous coleslaw recipe. She was affectionately known as “Ma” to both young and old alike.
She was predeceased by a daughter, Rosemary Therrault.
Survivors include three sons and two daughters-in-law, John "Mandoe" Frenette, Dana and Janet Frenette, and Dennis and Ellen Frenette, and one daughter, Donna Frenette, all of Hudson. Also 10 grandchildren, Dawn Lee Dubois and Clifton Dubois, both of Merrimack, Carrie Ann Willey Nashua, Malinda Frenette of Hudson, Kristen Emerson and Stephanie Emerson, both of Hudson, Nicole Frenette, Megan Frenette, Chantel Frenette, and Shannon Frenette, all of Hudson, as well as six great grandchildren, and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
A Funeral Mass was held on Saturday, October 30, at St. John the Evangelist Church, with burial in St. Patrick cemetery. The Dumont-Sullivan Funeral Home in Hudson was in charge of arrangements.
Ai James Frost Sr.
Ai James Frost Sr., 71 of 29 Central Street, Hudson, died at Southern New Hampshire Medical Center on Saturday November 13.
He was born in Goffstown, New Hampshire on September 16, 1933, a son of the late Walter and May (Hutchinson) Frost. He had lived in Hudson for over 30 years, prior to which he had resided in Brookline and Hollis.
He was the husband of Catherine (Wallace) Frost who he married
on March 14, 1966.
Over the years he had been employed by various paving companies and at one time worked for B.F.I.
Mr. Frost was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather. He enjoyed hunting, camping, and helping people.
He was a member of the Hudson American Legion Post #48.
He served in the United States Army during the Korean Conflict.
Mr. Frost was raised and educated in Hollis and Brookline.
Survivors include: his wife of 38 years; three sons and a daughter-in-law, Michael Frost and his fiancé Lynn Karlson of Hudson, Ai James and Dawn Frost Jr. of Hudson, and Arthur Furber of Nashua; two daughters, Norma Furber of Hudson and Linda Philbrick of Nashua; two brothers and a sister-in-law, Robert Frost of Nashua and Donald and Edna Frost of Nashua; two sisters, Dorothy Lampi of New Ipswich and Betsy Peterson of Berlin, New Hampshire; three grandchildren, Shawna Frost of Nashua and Daniel and Brianna Frost both of Hudson; numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Julia Gagne
Julia E. (Moody) Gagne, 92, of Belknap Road Hudson, died Friday, September 17, 2004 at Southern New Hampshire Medical Center.
Born in Manchester, she was the daughter of the late Benjamin and Mary (Provencher) Moody. She was the widow of Raymond Gagne who died in May.
Mrs. Gagne had been employed at Lawrence General Hospital before her retirement. She was a communicant of St. John the Evangelist Church in Hudson, and had been a member of the St. Johns Women’s Guild. She was also a past member of the Hudson Seniors and the Hudson Kitchen Band. One of Mrs. Gagne’s many joys was traveling.
Survivors include: a son and daughter-in-law Joseph and Debra Vatcher of Litchfield; a brother, Maurice Moody of Londonderry; a sister, Isabel Glidden of Raymond; two grandchildren, Sheri Briand of Hudson and Danielle Shepardson of Boston; two great-grandchildren, Sarah Dussault and Tyler Briand, both of Hudson.

Stanley L. Gaines, Jr.
Stanley L. Gaines, Jr. 45, of Derry, New Hampshire and formerly of Hudson, New Hampshire and Wayland, Massachusetts, died Monday, August 9, 2004 at St. Joseph Hospital, Nashua.
Born in Cincinnati, Ohio, February 9, 1959 he was the son of Stanley L. and Edythe (Timmer) Gaines Sr. of Hudson.
He was educated in Wayland, Massachusetts and attended the University of Lowell as a music major. He attained the rank of Eagle Scout in Troop 8, Wayland, and served on the committees of Cub Pack 252 and BSA Troup 252 in Hudson. He loved music, playing several instruments and singing in school, college and church choirs. He was a member of Rockingham Christian Church in Salem, New Hampshire where he played electric bass in the worship team.
He was employed at Instrumentation Laboratory, Lexington, Massachusetts for over 20 years and was last employed at Bisco Industries in Londonderry, New Hampshire.
Besides his parents, survivors include: a daughter, Michelle Gaines and a son, Jeffrey Gaines, both of Hudson; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Scott and Diane Gaines of Medway, Massachusetts and Steven and Pamela Gaines of Derry; and a sister and brother-in-law, Sandra and Christopher Jordan of Westford Massachusetts. Also, several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Joseph E. Gates Jr.
Joseph Ernest Gates, Jr. 74, died July 21, 2004 at Evergreen Nursing and Rehab Center in Olympia Washington.
He was born June 28, 1930 to Joseph and Lillian (Hazelton Morton) Gates in Nashua, New Hampshire. He graduated from Nashua High School in 1948. He married
Emma F. Burkard in Giessen, Germany on May 10, 1952.
Joe enlisted in the U.S. Army in 1948, and retired in 1973 as a Lieutenant Colonel. He entered the Real Estate industry in 1973, becoming a Broker in 1978. He owned and operated his own company, Gates Realty, for a number of years before joining Delta Real Estate, retiring from real estate in 2000.
He was a major force in establishing the Purple Heart license plates in Washington State, and has been associated with many local, state, and national organizations, such as the Masons, Shriners, Olympia/Thurston County Association of Realtors (President in 1980), Washington Association of Realtors (Vice President in 1985), National Association of Realtors (Director in 1985), Lacey/Thurston County Chamber of Commerce (President in 1988), Military Order of the Purple Heart (State Commander from 1989 to 1990), Military Affairs Committee of the Chamber of Commerce (Chairman from 1982 to 1986), Flag Day Chairman for Thurston County; V.F.W., American Legion, and the Department of Veterans’ Affairs, just to name a few.
Mr. Gates is survived by his daughter, Donna Foster, of Lacey; three sons, Joseph Gates III, of Chattanooga, Tennessee, Paul Gates of Denver, Colorado, and Karl Gates, of Los Angeles, California; Sister, Beverly Jackson, of Hudson, New Hampshire; brother, George Gates, of California; sister, four grandchildren; and several aunts, uncles nieces and nephews.
The family suggests memorial donations be made to the Eden Fund, c/o Evergreen Nursing and Rehab Center, 430 Lilly Road N.E., Olympia, Washington 98506.

Ruth Arlene Hardy
Ruth Arlene Hardy, 85, of Lowell Road and formerly of Melendy Road, Hudson, died Saturday, October 23, 2004 at Fairview Nursing Home in Hudson.
She was born December 29, 1918 in Hudson, daughter of the late Ornam S. and Hattie (Mortlock) Campbell. Mrs. Hardy was the widower of Robert E. Hardy who died in 1987.
She was a member or the Hudson Community Church and the Nashua Mineral Society. She enjoyed spending time in her flower garden and loved to baby sit children, something she did for over forty years.
Survivors include two loving sons and a daughter-in-law, Loren Hardy, Donald, and Joan Hardy, all of Hudson; two grandchildren, Carl Hardy of Hudson and Elise Jaques of Auburn; five great-grandchildren, Cedi Hardy and Devin Hardy, both of Merrimack, Hannah Jaques, Stella Jaques, and Wil Jaques, all of Auburn.

Agnes Harwood
Agnes Harwood, 85, formerly of Ridge Avenue, Hudson, died in Nashua Friday, August 6, 2004 at the Greenbrier Terrace Healthcare facility.
Born December 17, 1918 in Nashua, she was the daughter of the late William H. and Catherine E. (MacDonald) Harwood.
Before her retirement Miss Harwood had been employed at the former Sprague Electric in Nashua. She was a communicant of St. John the Evangelist Church in Hudson. She was a graduate of Nashua High School. At one time she had held membership in the American Legion Post 48 of Hudson Women’s Auxiliary, and was a former member of the Hudson Grange. She enjoyed gardening and loved animals and music.
Survivors include two daughters Gretchen Harwood of Deering, Holly Whittaker of Weare, two sisters Anne Hannaford of Hudson, Madeline Annis of Pelham, four grandchildren, Jake Lauziere of Hudson, Luke Lauziere of Nashua, Julie Molinari of Pennsylvania and Julio Molinari of Hudson.
A Funeral Mass was celebrated in St. John the Evangelist Church in Hudson Monday.
Mary A. Lindquist
Mary A. (Klimas) Lindquist, 93, of Hudson, New Hampshire, died Tuesday, October 26, at a local nursing home, in Nashua.
Mrs. Lindquist was born December 19, 1910 in Gardner, Massachusetts, the daughter of the late Alexander and Anna (Zedelis) Klimas.
She was educated in the Nashua School System.
Mrs. Lindquist was a resident of Hudson for the past 66 years.
Mary was the wife of Theodore A. Lindquist who died in 1988. They were married
for 49 years.
Mary loved to cook and garden. She loved her family and was much loved by all who knew her. She was a former communicant of St. Casmir Church, in Nashua.
Survivors include her three sons and their wives, John and his wife Donna Lindquist, Andrew and his wife Carol Lindquist, Richard and his wife Susanne Lindquist, all of Hudson, one sister, Nellie Donah, of Hudson, two sisters-in-law, Stella Klimas and Isabelle Klimas, both of Hudson, six grandchildren, Karen Lindquist, Kristen Lochhead, Janice Lindquist, Jennifer Bergeron, Andrew Lindquist, Theodore Lindquist, two great grandsons, Joseph and Alex Bergeron,
She was predeceased by three brothers, Alexander, Andrew and John who passed away at the age 5, and by one sister, Catherine Roby.

Nancy Ann (Palm) McLlarky
Nancy Ann (Palm) McLlarky, 71, of Pelham, died Friday evening August 27, 2004 at her home.
She was the wife of C. Michael McLlarky, who survives her and with whom she celebrated her 50th Wedding Anniversary on February 13, 2004.
She was born in Meredith, New Hampshire, January 13, 1933, the daughter of the late Elwood L. and the late Beatrice M. (Merrill) Palm.
Prior to her retirement she worked as a configuration specialist at Hanscom Air Force Base in Bedford, Massachusetts. In addition, she was owner and operator of the Filly Paddock Beauty Salon in Pelham for many years.
Besides her husband, she is survived by two daughters, Patricia Ann Graf and her husband Robert of Forestdale, Massachusetts, and Kathleen Ann Graf and her husband William of Linthicum, Maryland; two sons, Leslie Michael McLlarky and his wife Barbara Ann of East Lyme, Connecticut, and Bruce Michael McLlarky and his wife Donna of Derry; fifteen grandchildren and10 great grandchildren.
A Memorial Service was held on Saturday, September 4 at The Church of Christ of Latter Day Saints in Nashua. Committal Services will be held Saturday, September 11 at 11:15 a.m., Meredith Village cemetery, Highway 3, Northbound.
