David B. Thompson
David B. Thompson, 63, of Hudson and formerly of Nashua and Milford, died Thursday evening, June 21, 2007, at Southern New Hampshire Medical Center in Nashua, after a long battle with Pancreatic cancer.
Mr. Thompson was born in Nashua on May 16, 1944, son of the late Malvern J., Jr. and Doris H. (Olson) Thompson. A resident of Hudson for many years, Mr. Thompson was educated in local schools and attended Alvirne High School.
In 1961, Mr. Thompson enlisted in the Air Force, where he served as a Master Sergeant in the Intelligence Service. During his 24 years in the Air Force, Mr. Thompson served two tours of duty in Vietnam and also served in various locations in Southeast Asia and the Pacific. Following his retirement in 1985, Mr. Thompson worked for the U.S. Postal Service in Hudson for over 20 years before retiring in January of this year, due to his illness.
An avid sports enthusiast, Mr. Thompson enjoyed watching NASCAR and other auto racing, and the New England Patriots. He also loved collecting Rock and Roll music, especially from the 1950s. Mr. Thompson held membership in the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post of Hudson.
Members of his family include his wife, Faye (Winstanley) Thompson, whom he married
on March 5, 1995; a daughter and son-in-law, Michelle and Isaiah LaBrosse of Nashua; two sons and a daughter-in-law, Ronald Plamondon and his significant other, Michelle Holland of Lowell, Massachusetts, and Bill Plamondon and Toni Garland of Merrimack; five grandchildren, Tiffany Thompson of Puerto Rico, Brandon and Meghan Plamondon of Hudson and Jaden and Lily LaBrosse of Nashua; a sister, Susan Pond of Florida; and his beloved dog, Rep.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Thompson was predeceased by a son, David L. Thompson, who died in 1989.
His funeral service was held at the Farwell Funeral Home in Nashua on Monday, June 25. The Reverend Doctor Robert W. Odierna, Rector of the Church of The Good Shepherd, officiated. Burial took place at the New Hampshire State Veterans cemetery in Boscawen.
Carol J. (Morro) Eaton Caniff
Carol J. (Morro) Eaton Caniff, 65, of Pelham, died Saturday, December 15, 2007, at her home after a battle with cancer.
Born in Whitinsville, Massachusetts, on December 14, 1942, she was the daughter of Henry and the late Stacia (Sadowski) Morro and has lived in Pelham for the past six years, previously living in Douglas, Massachusetts, most of her life.
Mrs. Caniff worked for many years at Unibank in Whitinsville. She enjoyed crocheting, cooking and especially spending time with her family.
Her first husband of 43 years, Dale C. Eaton, died in 1993.
She is survived by her husband of eight years, Walter F. Caniff; four daughters, Heidi J. Walczak and her husband Stanley J. of Pelham, Kimberly J. Haynes and her husband David F. of Dudley, Massachusetts, Heather J. Mandeville and her companion Steve Arpin of Tyngsborough, Massachusetts, and Crystal J. Hinc and her husband Andrew of Millbury, Massachusetts; five stepsons; six grandchildren; her father, Henry Morro of Milford, Massachusetts; two sisters, Arlene J. York of Warwick, Rhode Island, and Denise S. Barton of Woonsocket, Rhode Island; and several nephews and nieces. She is predeceased by her sister Barbara A. Fitzgerald-Vayo.
Her funeral service was held December 20 at the Jackman Funeral Home in Douglas, Massachusetts. Burial followed at Howard cemetery in Sutton, Massachusetts. Memorial donations in Carol’s memory may be made to the Cancer Center at Lowell General Hospital, 295 Varnum Avenue, Lowell, MA 01854.
Daryl Killip
Daryl Pearsall Killip, 46, died unexpectedly on December 9, 2007, in Hudson. He was born in Rochester, New York, on December 17, 1960, and was the son of Colbeth and Ardythe (Pearsall) Killip, of Nashua. He was the husband of Heidi Howes-Killip, whom he married
on July 20, 1985, in Weld, Maine.
Daryl lived in Libya and Indonesia with his family before returning to the United States for his high school education. He graduated from Governor Dummer Academy in Byfield, Massachusetts in 1978. He went on to receive a Bachelor of Science degree from Cornell University in Ithaca, New York, in 1982 and a master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from University of Maine at Orono in 1984. Daryl was employed by AT&T in North Andover, Massachusetts, for 11 years and Vectron in Hudson for 12 years. Daryl's interests included orienteering, hiking, motorcycling, music, computer "war" games, and traveling with Heidi.
In addition to his wife and parents, survivors include his grandmother, Dorothy Pearsall, of Palm Beach, Florida; his sister Tamsen Sherrell and her husband Shawn, of Hudson; his sister Kerith Peary and her husband Ryan, of Gray, Maine; and nieces and nephews including Tristan, Alexandra, Matthew, Bradley, Jason, Logan and Paris.
The family requests that donations be made to Greater Manchester Red Cross, 1800 Elm Street, Manchester NH 03104 or The Salvation Army, 1 Montgomery Avenue, Nashua, NH 03060. A memorial gathering will be planned for sometime in January. The Dumont-Sullivan Funeral Home in Hudson is in charge of arrangements.
Jacquelyn M. Lynch-Hoehle
Jacquelyn M. (Gagne) Lynch-Hoehle, 67, of Sebastian, Florida, died Wednesday, December 12, 2007, at her home in Florida.
Jacquelyn grew up in Methuen, Massachusetts, graduating from Tenney Memorial High School. She moved to Salem where she lived for many years, later moving to Florida. Jacquelyn had worked as a waitress at Denny’s in Salem, previously working as a secretary at Raytheon.
Jacquelyn was a member of Riverside Assembly of God in Methuen. She joined River of Life Church when she moved to Florida. Jacquelyn loved spending time with her grandchildren and her friends. She enjoyed walking, reading her Bible and helping others.
Jacquelyn was predeceased by her first husband William Lynch and her second husband Douglas Hoehle.
She is survived by three sons, Mark and his wife Laura of Hampton Bay, New York, Kevin and his wife Gayle of Salem, and Keith of Salem; a daughter, Maureen and her husband Phil Zuber of Bradford, Massachusetts; stepsons Doug, Jr., and Dean Hoehle of Maine; sisters, twins Marilyn Scionti and Florence Grover, both of Florida; grandchildren, Ethan, Ciara, Zachary, Nicholas, Stephanie, Kimberly, Jonathan, Jennifer and Jordan.
A Funeral Service was held on December 19 at the Douglas and Johnson Funeral Home in Salem followed by burial in Pine Grove cemetery. Contributions in Jacquelyn’s memory may be made to River of Life Church, 7951 Ron Beatty Boulevard, Barefoot Bay, FL 32976.
Marcel R. Turcotte
Marcel R. Turcotte, 43, of Hudson, died tragically on Thursday, December 13, 2007, in a snowmobile accident in St. Methode, Canada. He was the beloved husband of Annmarie Pintal Turcotte, to whom he was married
for seven years. He was the son of Pamphile (“Phil”) and Louise (Nadeau) Turcotte of Hudson.
Mr. Turcotte was raised in Hudson, educated in the Hudson schools, and graduated from Alvirne High School in 1982. A self-made and charismatic businessman, he was the founder and president of Wall-Tech Systems, Inc. of Hudson, where he worked with his wife and brother, Claude. He was a partner of NorthPoint Construction Management, LLC, and the owner of several other businesses.
Mr. Turcotte was generous, outgoing, and active in a variety of ways. He was a parishioner at St. Kathryn Parish in Hudson. A devoted Red Sox and Patriots fan, he also loved winter sports, scuba diving, boating, water skiing, hiking, motor cycling, and traveling. Marcel enjoyed life to the last second, especially the time he spent with his wife and two little girls.
In addition to his wife Annmarie, he leaves two daughters, Angelina, 3, and Amanda, 1, both of Hudson; a brother, Claude Turcotte and his wife Amy of Hudson; a sister, Joanne Kenyon and her husband Peter of Chelmsford, Massachusetts; several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews; his close friend and business partner Gary A. Thomas; and a host of friends who will miss him deeply.
His funeral will be held from the Dracut Funeral Home, 2159 Lakeview Avenue, Dracut, Massachusetts, on Saturday, December 22, at 10 a.m., followed by a Funeral Mass to be celebrated at 11 a.m. at St. Kathryn Parish, 4 Dracut Road, Hudson. Burial will follow at St. Patrick cemetery in Hudson. Evelyn Watts
Evelyn (Holbrook) Watts, 88, of Hudson, died Tuesday, December 11, 2007, at St. Joseph Hospital in Nashua.
Evelyn was born in Anville, Pennsylvania, on January 13, 1919, daughter of the late Fred and Sadie (Ladner) Holbrook. Evelyn was also predeceased by her loving husband, Wesley Watts.
Evelyn was a devoted mother and grandmother. She spent her years caring and raising her family. She also was an avid reader in her spare time.
Evelyn is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, Fredrick and Jane Watts of Merrimack, and Charles and Sharon Watts of Hepzibah, Georgia; three daughters and two sons-in-law, Joyce and Thomas Munroe of Hudson, Kathleen and Thomas Greenleaf of Martinez, Georgia, and Susan Plank of Tecumseh, Oklahoma; 16 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.

Ellen Howe
Ellen (Daisey) Howe, 87, of Hudson, died Wednesday, December 5, 2007, at Fairview Nursing Home in Hudson after an extended illness.
Ellen was born in Millinocket, Maine, on April 1, 1920, daughter of the late Charles A. and Sarah (Bruce) Daisey and was predeceased in October of 1997 by her husband, Ralph E. Howe.
Ellen was a long-term resident of Hudson and spent her years caring for her family. She earned a degree in education and loved reading and had mastered the art of letter writing. Ellen was the utmost example of hospitality and always had a pot of coffee on to prove it. She gave generously to all that needed help.
She is survived by three sons and a daughter-in-law, Ralph Howe of Litchfield, Stephen Howe of Virginia Beach, Virginia, and David and Mary Howe of Chester; five grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
A Funeral Service was held on December 8 at in the Dumont-Sullivan Funeral Home in Hudson. The family requests that donations be made in Ellen’s name to the Community Hospice House, 210 Naticook Road, Merrimack, NH 03054.
Frank U. Naughton III
Frank Ussher Naughton III, 80, of West Harwich, Connecticut, died peacefully on December 2, 2007, surrounded by loved ones, at Cape Cod Hospital, Hyannis, Massachusetts, from complications after a battle with Alzheimers disease.
Born in Worcester, Massachusetts, on March 14, 1927, Frank was a direct descendant of Stephen Hopkins, signer of the Declaration of Independence. He was a World War II Army veteran.
Frank graduated from Bancroft School, Phillips Academy, Andover, Massachusetts, class of 1945; Harvard College, class of 1950; and the Harvard Business School, class of 1953.
In 1958, he and his beloved wife, Elizabeth Sayre, were united in marriage. The two resided in Short Hills, New Jersey. Both were active members of Christ Church. For 36 years, Frank was vice president at the Bank of New York in the Personal Trust Department. After his retirement, they moved to the home which his parents built in 1928 in West Harwich.
He enjoyed traveling, music, gardening, sailing, working with The Harvard College Fund, and spending time with friends and family.
Frank was active at St. Christopher’s Episcopal Church, Chatham, Massachusetts, where he served on many committees. He was a member of the Stone Horse Yacht Club, Harvard Club of New York, Harvard Club of Cape Cod, and longtime member of Baltusrol Golf Club, Springfield, New Jersey.
Along with his wife, Elizabeth, Frank leaves a son, Stephen Naughton and his wife, Brandy, of Rising Sun, Maryland; and a daughter, Elizabeth Jutras and her husband, Peter, of Hudson and West Harwich. He also leaves his grandchildren, Melyssa Millett, Nelson Millett, Jamie Jutras, Laura Millett, and Robert Millett.
A memorial service was held on December 7, at St. Christopher's Episcopal Church, Chatham. Donations can be made to Alzheimer's Services of Cape Cod, 712 Main Street, Hyannis, MA 02601, or St. Christopher's Episcopal Church, 625 Main Street, Chatham, MA 02633.
Donald Radcliffe
Donald Radcliffe, 58, of Salem, died December 8, 2007, at his home in Salem.
He was born in Lawrence, Massachusetts, where he grew up and attended schools. He was a resident of Salem for the past 40 years.
Mr. Radcliffe was a retired draftsman for Western Electric in North Andover, Massachusetts. He also did some consulting. He attended St. Andrew Church in Methuen, Massachusetts.
He is survived by many cousins, including Joyce Radzwill of Springhill, Florida.
There are no calling hours or services. Cremation took place.
Douglas and Johnson Funeral Home in Salem was in charge of the arrangements.
Pearl V. (Blevins) Six
Pearl V. (Blevins) Six, 78, of Auburn, died Monday, December 10, 2007, at Pleasant Valley Nursing Center in Derry.
Pearl was born and raised in West Virginia, later moving to Salem, where she lived for over 40 years. She was a wonderful homemaker and a great cook. Pearl loved taking care of her husband and children. She enjoyed crocheting, jigsaw puzzles, playing cards and games and gardening. Pearl was an avid Red Sox fan.
She was predeceased by her beloved husband, Alfred M. Six.
She is survived by a son, Roland Six and his wife Cheryl of Manchester; three daughters, Jacqueline and her husband Richard Hoon of Salem, Teresa and her husband Wallace Titcomb of Auburn, and Linda and her husband Robert Lamphier of Deltona, Florida; brothers, Daniel and William Blevins; sisters, Marie Smith, Mae Thompson, Loleta Burress, Ruth Ferguson, Mary Cahoon, Betty Niehenke and Patsy Talkington; 13 grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.
A Funeral Service will be held on Friday, December 14, at 11 a.m. at the Douglas and Johnson Funeral Home, 214 Main Street, Salem. Cremation will follow.
