Louise R. Sawyer, FRANKLIN

FRANKLIN - Louise R. Sawyer, 71, of Franklin, died yesterday at a Manchester hospital.
She was born in Wilton, Maine, the daughter of Claris and Rose (Belanger) Ranger.
She was a resident of Franklin for the past six years. Before that, she had lived in Manchester for 42 years.
At the time of her employment, she worked for Summit Packaging in Manchester for 16 years. She was also a member of Gold Star Mothers, American League Auxiliary in Franklin, Purple Hearts, and Veterans of Foreign Wars Auxiliary in Franklin.
She was predeceased by her husband, William Sawyer; a son, Robert Sawyer; a brother, Robert Ranger; and a sister, Lorraine Viers.
She is survived by a son, David Sawyer of Angler, N.C.; two daughters, Anita Nolan of Manchester, and Irene Lewis of Belmont; six granddaughters; two step-grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; two step great-grandchildren; three sisters, Madeline Branham of North Jay, Maine, Marian Durrell of Farmington, Maine, and Ruby Allen of Farmington, Maine; and many nieces and nephews, two aunts; and one uncle.
Calling hours will be from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. tomorrow at the Goodwin Funeral Home, 607 Chestnut St., Manchester. A funeral service will be at 10 a.m. on Thursday at the funeral home. The Rev. Douglas Rickard, with the Helping Hands Outreach Center, will officiate the service. Burial will take place at a later date in Pine Grove Cemetery in Manchester.

George A. Wunderlee, GOFFSTOWN

GOFFSTOWN - George A. Wunderlee, 91, of Goffstown, died Monday at Franklin Regional Hospital in Franklin.
He was born in Berthoud, Colo., the son of John and Harriet Wunderlee.
He lived in the New Hampshire Veterans Home in Tilton, and previously lived in Goffstown.
He retired from J.F. McElwain of Manchester where he worked as a mechanic for many years.
He served the Army during World War II as a member of the 908th Field Artillery Battalion in Europe.
He is survived by many friends.
Calling hours will be tomorrow from 7 to 9 p.m. at French & Rising Funeral Home, 17 South Mast St., Goffstown. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. on Thursday in the funeral home.
Interment will be in Pine Grove Cemetery in Manchester.

Hazel P. Hilton, BOW

BOW - Hazel P. Hilton, 92, of Bow, died Monday in her son's home in Wesley Chapel, Fla.
She was born in Wellesley, Mass., the daughter of Aaron and Rebecca (Macquare) Sabean.
She was a longtime resident of Contoocook prior to moving to Chichester. She lived with her son in Bow and Florida since 1990.
She was predeceased by her husband, William Hilton Sr.
She is survived by two sons, William Hilton Jr. of Bow and James Hilton of Concord; a daughter, Barbara Grady of Columbus, Ohio; nine grandchildren; fourteen great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Thursday in the chapel at Waters Funeral Home. Friends and relatives may call from 1 to 2 p.m., prior to the services. The Rev. John Johnson will officiate.
Burial will be in Evans Cemetery, Bow.

Gertrude L. Crawford

Gertrude L. Crawford, 83, of Concord, died Sunday at Concord Hospital.
She was born in Newport, the daughter of Leonard and Florence Rowe.
She graduated from Towle High School in 1935 and trained as a telephone operator.
She worked for Bryant Chucking Grinder Co. during World War II, and was in charge of Red Cross solicitation.
She also worked at Colonial Mica in Newport and spent 15 years working for the state of New Hampshire for the library and the New Hampshire Retirement Division of the Department of Revenue before retiring in 1980.
She was a member of St. Paul's Episcopal Church in Concord.
She was predeceased by two brothers, John Rowe and Irving Rowe; and two sisters, Marion Daimont and Beatrice Hitchcock.
She is survived by her husband of 58 years, G. Henry Crawford of Concord; a son, John Crawford of Concord; a daughter, Susan Woods of Concord; three grandchildren; and two nieces.
Calling hours will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. today at the Church Street Chapel at the Bennett Funeral Home, 209 N. Main St., Concord.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. tomorrow at the funeral home with the Rev. David Jones, rector of St. Paul's Episcopal Church, officiating. Burial will be in Blossom Hill Cemetery.

Harold E. Mooney, PELHAM

PELHAM - Harold E. Mooney, 79, of Pelham, died Friday at home.
He was born in Pelham, the son of Louis and Gladys (Giles) Mooney.
He attended South Eastern Louisiana College, and received his Vocational Teacher's training at Fitchburg State College after World War II.
He served in the Leominster School district for 32 years and was the recipient of several awards, such as the Massachusetts Teachers Association District Service Certificate, the Outstanding Service Award from the Leominster Trade School Home Building Program and the Suesse Chalet Outstanding Teacher Award. He was also a member of the Retired Educators Association of Massachusetts.
He also received a Certificate of Appreciation from the town of Pelham as a volunteer for the realization of Pelham High School.
He served in the U.S. Marine Corp as a Master Technical Sergeant during World War II.
He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Mary (Koehler) Mooney of Pelham; a daughter, Carol Bennett of Claremont; a son, Harold Mooney of Townsend; and four grandchildren.
There will be no calling hours.
The funeral service will take place at 2 p.m. on Thursday at the Pelham Funeral Home, 11 Nashua Road, Pelham. Committal service will be private.

Mary Daniels Lemaire, LACONIA

LACONIA - Mary R. (Lemay) Daniels Lemaire, 85 , of Darby Road, died Friday at Lakes Region General Hospital.
She was born the daughter of Jean-Baptiste and Lea (Boutin) Lemay. She was a longtime resident of the Woodsville area before spending her time between Barnstead and Naples, Fla. She had been a resident of Laconia since 1996.
Lemaire was self-employed as a seamstress for many years. She was a communicant of St. Joseph Church in Laconia.
She is survived by a son, Robert Daniels of Laconia, and four granddaughters.
She was predeceased by her second husband, Henry Lemaire, who died in 1996; by her first husband, Ralph Daniels, who died in 1958; and by a daughter, Doreen Daniels of Littleton, who died in 1989.
There are no calling hours. Friends are invited to attend a memorial mass on Thursday at 1 p.m. at St. Joseph Church in Laconia with the Rev. Gary Kosmowski officiating. Burial will be in St. Joseph Cemetery in Bath.

Jean D. Bellaud, MANCHESTER

MANCHESTER - Jean D. Bellaud, 103, of Holly Avenue in Manchester died Saturday at Courville in Manchester after a brief illness.
He was born in Louzignac, France, the son of Noe and Adelina (Bolleau) Bellaud and came to the United States as a young man.
He served in the French Army during World War I and was recently awarded the French Medal of Honor for his service during the war.
Bellaud worked as a machinist at the Portsmouth Navy Shipyard and later at Granite State Machine Co. until his retirement at age 65.
An avid hunter and fisherman, Bellaud received the Sportsman of the Year Award on his 100th birthday by the New Hampshire Wildlife Federation. Throughout his life, Bellaud was a member of numerous area sporting clubs.
He was a communicant of St. Anthony Church in Manchester.
He is survived by one son, Louis Bellaud of Bow; one daughter, Francis Aziz of Schenectady, N.Y.; 13 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; six great-great-grandchildren; and nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his wife, Urilda (Belanger) Bellaud, who died in 1976; a daughter, Itha Bellaud; and a son, Jean-Paul Bellaud.
Calling hours are from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. today in the Lambert Funeral Home at 1799 Elm St. in Manchester. A mass of Christian burial will be celebrated Wednesday at 10 a.m. at St. Anthony Church. Burial will follow in Mount Calvary Cemetery in Manchester. Gloria Gammons, ASHLAND

ASHLAND - Gloria Rosa Gammons, 76, of Highland Street, died yesterday at Concord Hospital of complications from diabetes. She lived with the disease for 63 years.
Gammons was born in South Ryegate, Vt., the daughter of Louisa (Valesschi) and Eugene Rosa. She lived in Ashland for 43 years.
She graduated from Woodsville High School and attended Burdette College in Boston, Mass. She was a longtime employee of the National Bank of Newbury in Wells River, Vt., and was past town treasurer in Ashland.
She was also past treasurer of the Green Grove Cemetery Association.
She was an active member of St. Mark's Episcopal Church and enjoyed many hobbies, including rug hooking, decorative painting and needlework.
She is survived by her husband of 47 years, Philip Gammons Jr.; a son, Philip Gammons III of Holderness; two daughters, Suzanne Shevenell of New Castle and Diane Pelchat of Concord; two sisters, Dantina Sherman of Yarmouth, Maine and Louise Rowden of Wells River, Vt.; and many nephews, nieces, grandnephews and grandnieces. She was predeceased by two brothers, America and Dante Rosa, and two sisters, Alice Rosa and Alba Cromwell.
Graveside services will be held at the Hillside Cemetery in South Ryegate, Vt., on Wednesday at 11 a.m. There are no calling hours.
