BOW - Evelyn Cote Boulay, 76, died Sunday at Concord Hospital.
She was predeceased by her husband, Leo Boulay.
She is survived by a son, Thomas Boulay of Denver; three grandchildren, Jennifer Boulay, Lauren Boulay and Sabrina Boulay; two great-grandchildren; a brother, Hector "Jake" Cote of Concord; a sister, Alice "Tilly" Sweat of Hopkinton; and several nieces and nephews.
There are no calling hours.
A memorial service will be held tomorrow at 2 p.m. at the Carmelite Monastery, 275 Pleasant St. Burial will be at the convenience of the family.

Vincent A. Daughen, DANBURY

DANBURY - Vincent A. Daughen, 90, formerly of Waukeena Lake Road, died Sunday at the New Hampshire Veterans Home in Tilton.
He was born in Antwerp, N.Y., the son of Daniel and Nellie (LaFave) Daughen.
He lived in Manchester for many years, where he worked as a truck driver for Robert's Express, Bachelor Brothers and Quinn's Express.
After retiring in 1971, he moved to Danbury.
He was a U.S. Army Veteran, who served with the military police during World War II.
He was a member and past commander of the Lee-Knapp American Legion Post No. 69 of Danbury, and a member of the Blazing Star and Blackwater Grange, where he had held the office of gatekeeper.
He was also a member of the Pomona and State Grange, a member of the Danbury Volunteer Fire Department and a former member of the Teamster's Union.
He was predeceased by an infant son, Colin Daughen; and five siblings, Fenton Daughen, Elmer Daughen, Leroy Daughen, William Daughen and Julia Daughen.
He is survived by his wife of 69 years, Eleanor (Hamilton) Daughen of Danbury; two sons, Wayne Daughen of Concord and Keith Daughen of Danbury; a daughter, Beverly Thomas of Whitefield; 10 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; a brother, Carl Daughen of LaFargeville, N.Y.; a sister, Katherine Landers of Theresa, N.Y.; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Calling hours will be held tomorrow from 7 to 9 p.m. in the Chadwick Funeral Home, 174 Main St., New London.
Funeral services will be held Thursday at 2 p.m. in the United Church of Danbury. The Rev. George Peters will officiate. Burial will take place after the service in Riverdale Cemetery, Danbury, with honors conducted by the Lee-Knapp Post No. 69.

William Jameson Jr., DANBURY

DANBURY - William H. Jameson Jr., 66, of Route 4, died April 8 at home.
He was born in Enosburg Falls, Vt., the son of William and Beatrice (Clark) Jameson. He spent his early years in Starksboro, Vt., before entering the U.S. Navy in 1951.
During the Korean War, he served aboard the sub-tender USS Salamonie.
He had lived in Danbury for the past 20 years, working as a welder and stonemason at construction sites throughout the state.
He was predeceased by a son, Donald Jameson; two brothers, George Jameson and Frank Jameson; and a sister, Beatrice Savard.
He is survived by six brothers and sisters, Dora Black of Goffstown, Lucy Carlson of Belmont, Shirley Bell of Milton, Vt., Robert Jameson of Bristol, Vt., Verna Myott of Colchester, Vt., and Bradley Jameson of Franklin; and several nieces and nephews.
There are no calling hours.
Memorial services will be held May 14 at 11 a.m. in the chapel of the New Hampshire Veterans Cemetery, Boscawen.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the charity of one's choice.

Ann C. Muir, PRESCOTT, Ariz.

PRESCOTT, Ariz. - Ann C. Muir, a former area resident and relative of area residents, died Friday.
She was born in Pittsburgh, Pa., the daughter of Paul and Melba Chamberlain.
She lived in Bow for 30 years, moving to Prescott, Ariz., 11 years ago.
She was active with the New Hampshire Republican Party and enjoyed art.
She was predeceased by her husband, John Muir.
She is survived by a daughter, Victoria Muir of Northwood; a son, Angus Muir of Phoenix, Ariz.; two grandsons; and one great-grandson.
Services were held in Arizona.

Carl A. Evans, WILMOT

WILMOT - Carl A. Evans, 84, of Evans Road, Wilmot Flat, died Friday at New London Hospital after a long period of failing health.
He was a native and lifelong resident of Wilmot, the son of Stephen H. and Mabel (Mills) Evans. After he married Dorothy Crouse, the couple moved to Wilmot Flat, where they resided for more than 65 years.
He attended Wilmot schools and worked many years at the Quick Water Farm in Wilmot and for the late Maude Swift of Elkins as a gardener. He had been employed at three different area mink farms. For several years he had been a woodsman; During World War II he chopped many cords of pulp wood for the war effort and for area homes. He had been employed by William Hayes, contractor and builder, as a carpenter several years prior to his retirement around 20 years ago. An expert saw filer and tool sharpener, many area craftsman sought his expertise. He had served the town of Wilmot as town surveyor. He was an avid hunter and fisherman and was a N.H.-licensed guide. He had been a home apiarist and had the unique ability to follow wild bees to many hives on Mount Kearsarge.
Besides his wife of 65 years, he is survived by two daughters, Betty Putney of Winter Haven, Fla., and Patricia (Toots) Fleury of Wilmot Flat; two sons, Donald (Duke) Evans of Franklin and Carl R. (Rod) Evans of Wilmot Flat; 14 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; one great-great-granddaughter; a brother, Elmer Evans, and a sister, Ruth Brown, both of Canaan; and nieces, nephews and cousins.
There are no calling hours. A celebration of his life will be held on Saturday at 10 a.m. at the Wilmot Fire House, Route 11, Wilmot Flat. Memorial contributions may be made to the Wilmot Fast Squad, P.O. Box 33, Wilmot, 03287.

Edward E. Riley, BELMONT

BELMONT - Edward E, Riley, 55, of 24 Scenic Drive, died Thursday at Lakes Region General Hospital in Laconia.
He was born in St. Louis, Mo., and had been a resident of Marblehead, Mass., for many years prior to moving to Belmont in 1994.
He was a Vietnam War veteran, having served in the Army Special Forces Unit.
At the time of his death, he was a dispatcher for Boston Edison.
He was a member of the American Legion Post in Kennar, La.
He is survived by a son, Christopher J. Riley of Miami, Fla.; 10 brothers; five sisters; and many nieces and nephews.
There are no calling hours. Services will be at the convenience of the family in Miami, Fla.
The Dewhirst Funeral Home, 1061 Union Ave., in Laconia, is in charge of the arrangements.
Raymond E. Smith, WARNER

WARNER - Raymond E. Smith, 69, of Diamond Lane, died Thursday at home after a short illness.
He was born in Tinmouth, Vt., the son of Hiram and Frances (Duckette) Smith, and had lived in New Hampshire since 1940.
He was employed by the Page Belting Company for more than 38 years, retiring in 1993.
He was a U.S. Navy veteran of the Korean conflict and was a member of the National Rifle Association.
He enjoyed motorcycling and gardening.
He is survived by his wife of 43 years, Doris (Brousseau) Smith of Warner; two sons, Michael Smith of Running Spring, Calif., and James Smith of Concord; two daughters, Patricia Smith of Loudon and Kathleen Upton of Belmont; three grandchildren; three brothers, Gilbert Smith of Penacook, Donald Smith of Manchester and Peter McIntyre of Bristol, Vt.; two sisters, Dorothy Delano of Penacook and Lillian Hollins of Boscawen; and several nieces and nephews.
Calling hours will be held tomorrow from 7 to 9 p.m. at the Perkins Funeral Home, 60 Main St., Pittsfield.
Funeral services will be held Monday at 11 a.m. at the funeral home.
Burial will follow the funeral service in Floral Park Cemetery, Pittsfield.

SARASOTA, Fla. - Joan E. Ernshaw, 66, former area resident and relative of area residents, died Saturday after a long illness.
She was born in Concord, the daughter of Robert and Agnes (King) Curdie.
She was a former assistant vice president of Chubb LifeAmerica, where she worked for 32 years.
From 1986-1987, she was the first woman president of the Northeast Chapter of the Insurance Accounting and Systems Association Inc.
She was also very active in the United Way.
She is survived by a son, William Earnshaw of Scottsdale, Ariz.; three daughters, Sue Earnshaw of Penacook, Nancy Sherrer of Port St. Lucie, Fla., and Sharon Vantine of Colchester, Vt.; several grandchildren; a brother, Robert Curdie of Bristol; her companion of more than 20 years, Roland Chretien; and several nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles.
Calling hours will be held tomorrow from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. in the Bennett Funeral Home, 109 N. Main St., Concord.
A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated Thursday at 10 a.m. in St. Peter's Church. Burial will take place after the Mass in Blossom Hill Cemetery.
