Guy E. Cogswell Jr., 72, died Thursday at Concord Hospital. He was born in Hanover, the son of Guy and Muriel (Chase) Cogswell.
He was the owner and operator of the Cogswell Cottages, New London and Sunapee, before retiring in 1974.
He was an avid skier, fly fisherman and watercolor artist.
There are no surviving relatives.
There are no calling hours.
Spring graveside services will be held in Henniker New Cemetery, Henniker.
The Holt Funeral Home in Henniker is in charge of arrangements.
Leon F. Falcon

Leon F. Falcon, 56, of Prescott Street, died Monday at Concord Hospital after a sudden illness.
He was born in Brooklyn, N.Y., the son of the late Leon and Paula (Candalora) Falcon. He attended local schools there.
He served in the U.S. Army in Germany.
He was an auto mechanic on Long Island, N.Y., for many years and moved to Concord in 1996.
He is survived by his wife, Paula (Erario) Falcon of Concord; three sons, Peter Falcon of Montvale, N.J., Scott Falcon of Edgewater, N.J., and Frank Falcon of Concord; and a sister, Beverly Canepa of Brooklyn, N.Y. He also is survived by Elizabeth Falcon of Edgewater, N.J.
Calling hours will be held tonight from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. in the Waters Funeral Home, 50 S. Main St., Concord.
A Mass of Christian burial will be tomorrow at 9 a.m. in the Immaculate Heart of Mary Church, 180 Loudon Road, Concord. The Rev. Florent Bilodeau, pastor, will be the celebrant. Burial will be held after the Mass in the New Hampshire Veteran's Cemetery, Boscawen.

OCALA, Fla. - Thearis M. Rush, 90, of Ocala, Fla., and formerly of Hillsboro, died Saturday at the Palm Garden of Ocala, Fla.
She was born in Warren, the daughter of the late Clarence and Nettie Lee (Henderson) Waldron.
She worked as a clerk for the Florida Fassions before her retirement. She was a graduate of Hillsboro High School.
She was predeceased by her husband, Lyndon Rush, who died in 1969.
She is survived by a daughter, Moira Oliver of Hastings, Fla.; four grandchildren; a niece; and a nephew.
Calling hours will be from 6 to 8 p.m. tomorrow at the Holt Funeral Home, 3 Hall Ave., Henniker. The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home. The Rev. Russ Rowland, pastor of the Henniker Congregational Church, will officiate.
Burial will be in the spring in the Henniker New Cemtery, Henniker.

ONTARIO, Canada - Joanne M. Howe, 62, relative of area residents, died Thursday at the Hotel Dieu Hospital St. Catherines, Ontario, Canada.
She is survived by her husband, Doug Howe; three children, Morgan, Melanie and Griffin; four grandchildren; a sister, Diane Hamlin of Toronto.
A service of remembrance will be held at 11 a.m. tomorrow in Ontario, Canada.
Donations may be made to the Community Care Access Centre, Niagra or to the Hotel Dieu Hospital.

Ellen A. Tiffany, WEARE

WEARE - Ellen A. Tiffany, 93, of Tiffany Hill Road, died Sunday at Genesis Eldercare Pleasant View Center in Concord.
She was born in Rye, N.Y, the daughter Edgar and Catherine (Bliss) Auchincloss.
She was a graduate of Brearley School in New York City and Vassar College. She attended Columbia Law School.
She was the English-speaking secretary for the Chinese Mass Education movement in Beijing for several years. She served as a civilian with the military intelligence division of the war department during World War II and also helped build airplanes for Grummond Aircrafts as part of the war effort.
She was a member of the New Hampshire League of Women Voters and the Society for the Protection of New Hampshire Forests.
She also was a member of St. Paul's Episcopal Church in Concord.
She was recently honored with the Boston Post cane from the town of Weare, recognizing her as the oldest living resident of the town.
Survivors include her husband of 58 years, Gordon Tiffany of Weare; a son, William Tiffany of Weare; a daughter, Jean Tiffany of Kittery, Maine; five grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; a brother, Edgar Auchincloss of Darien, Conn.; and nieces and nephews.
There are no calling hours.
Funeral services will be held Friday at 2 p.m. at St. Paul's Episcopal Church in Concord. The Rev. David Jones, rector, will officiate and the Rev. Joyce Lovejoy, pastor of the Deering Community Church, will assist.
Spring burial will be in Quaker Cemetery in Weare.

FRANKLIN - John "Papa John" Vincent Gowlis Sr., 52, of South Main Street, died Thursday at Concord Hospital.
He was born in Waterbury, Conn., the son of Vincent and Marion (Krunglevich) Gowlis Sr. He was an All-City and All-State football player while attending Wilby High School in Waterbury, Conn.
He was a veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps.
He moved to Franklin 17 years ago and was employed at Daniel Webster Farm.
Family members include six sons, Sean Gowlis and John Gowlis Jr., both of Waterbury, Conn., Jonathan Gowlis and Jason Gowlis, both of Scottsdale, Conn., Raymond Gowlis of Virginia and Thomas Wagner of Plymouth; two daughters, Melissa Gowlis of Scottsdate, Conn., and Shannon Gowlis of Virginia; several grandchildren; two brothers, Vincent Gowlis Jr. of Boscawen and David Gowlis of Northfield; a sister, Charlotte Gowlis of Inverness, Fla.; and several nieces and nephews.
The Cremation Society of New Hampshire, based in Manchester, is in charge of the arrangements.
Lillian Cora Bishop, ANTRIM

ANTRIM - Lillian Cora (Letendre) Bishop, 85, of North Main Street, died Friday at Concord Hospital after a long illness.
She was born in Sturbridge, Mass., the daughter of William and Carmelita (Fournier) Letendre.
She attended schools in Sturbridge, Mass., and worked for American Optical Co. in Southbridge, Mass. She was employed by Saco Lowell Co. in Saco, Maine, for 17 years.
She lived in Old Orchard Beach, Maine, before moving in Antrim.
She and her late husband owned and operated the Texaco service station in Antrim for 10 years.
Survivors include two daughters, Margaret Pettengill of Arundel, Maine, and Leatrice Bezio of Antrim; a son, Edmund Cuddihy of Augusta, Maine; 10 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
There are no calling hours.
Graveside services will be held later at the convenience of the family. Interment will be in Laurel Hill Cemetery, Saco, Maine.

PEMBROKE - Lois Vosgershian, 44, of Pembroke Street, died Wednesday at her home.
She was born in Providence, R.I., and lived in Attleboro and Norton, Mass., before moving to Loudon in 1980.
She worked as a certified nursing aide and attended the Immaculate Heart of Mary Church in Concord.
Her family includes her husband, Donald Vosgershian of Belmont; a son, Joseph Vosgershian of Belmont; and a daughter, Lisa Vosgershian of Pembroke.
A daughter, Kerry Lynne Vosgershian, died in 1994.
There are no calling hours.
A memorial Mass for her and her granddaughter, Christina Vosgershian, will be celebrated at 8 p.m. tomorrow at the Immaculate Heart of Mary Church, Loudon Road, Concord.
The Rev. Florent Bilodeau, pastor, will officiate.
Burial will be held at a later date in Loudon.

She was born in Concord, the daughter of Kerry Lynne Vosgershian.
She was predeceased by her mother.
Her family includes her maternal grandfather, Donald Vosgershian of Belmont; her uncle, Joseph Vosgershian of Belmont; and her aunt, Lisa Vosgershian of Pembroke.
A memorial Mass for her and her grandmother, Lois Vosgershian, will be celebrated at 8 p.m. tomorrow at the Immaculate Heart of Mary Church, Loudon Road, Concord.

Burial will be held at a later date in Loudon.
