Howard C. Frink, KEENE

KEENE - Howard C. Frink, 76, of McKinley Street, died yesterday at the Cheshire Medical Center in Keene.
He was born in Keene, the son of Roy and Dorothy (Davis) Frink.
He was a lifelong Keene resident, and attended Keene schools. He was a 1942 graduate of Keene High School.
He served in Europe during World War II with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers as a technical sergeant. He also served with the 423rd Armed Services Band.
He was employed as the chef at New England College, Henniker, for 23 years.
He was an active member of St. James Episcopal Church, Keene, where he sang in the church choir for 50 years and served as a member of the vestry.
He was predeceased by a brother, Elbert Frink.
He is survived by his wife, Beverly Frink of Keene; a daughter, Karen Frink of Auburn; a son, Kevin Frink of Peterborough; three granddaughters; a brother, Donald Frink of Roanoke, Va.; and several nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held Saturday at 2 p.m. in St. James Episcopal Church, 44 West St., Keene. The Rev. L. Murdock Smith, rector, will officiate. Private burial will be in Woodland Cemetery.

Robert C. Meyer, Bow

Bow - Robert C. Meyer, 72, formerly of Putney Road, died Monday at home after a sudden illness. He had recently been living in Penacook.
He was born in Bronxville, N.Y., the son of Frank and Marguerite (Massie) Meyer.
He attended Bryant College in Providence, R.I., and served in the U.S. Army during World War II in Italy and Greece.
He worked as a wholesale salesman in New York and Pennsylvania for many years and then was in home construction and home supplies in New Hampshire.
He was predeceased by his wife, Marie (Lehtinen) Meyer.
He is survived by a son, Robert Meyer of Lebanon; a daughter, Linda Hodgdon of Epsom; three grandchildren; a brother, Adrian Meyer of Peru, Mass.; a nephew and some cousins.
Calling hours will be held tomorrow from 7 to 9 p.m. in the Waters Funeral Home, 50 S. Main St., Concord.
A funeral service will be held Friday at 11 a.m. in the chapel of the funeral home. The Rev. Hays Junkin, rector of St. Andrew's Episcopal Church, will officiate. Burial will take place after the service in Blossom Hill Cemetery, Concord.

William M. O'Connor, FALMOUTH, Maine

FALMOUTH, Maine - William M. O'Connor, 42, of Falmouth, Maine and Concord, died Jan. 17 in Portland, Maine.
He was born in Concord, Mass., the son of Jay and Jacqueline (Montgomery) O'Connor.
In addition to his mother of Falmouth, Maine, and his father of Marco Island, Fla., he is survived by three brothers, Jay O'Connor Jr. of Scarborough, Maine, Christopher O'Connor of Chatham, N.J., and Michael O'Connor of Falmouth, Maine; a sister, Colleen O'Connor of Freeport, Maine; two nieces and eight nephews.
Services were private.

Bruce E. Alexander, CANTERBURY

CANTERBURY - Bruce E. Alexander, 55, of North West Road, died Monday at Concord Hospital.
He was born in Manchester, the son of Maurice and Gladys (Page) Alexander.
He was a graduate of Manchester West High School and he received an associate's degree in human services from the New Hampshire Technical Institute.
He was a mental health worker for New Hampshire Hospital for 23 years.
He was an avid hunter and fisherman.
He was predeceased by a brother, Richard Alexander.
He is survived by his wife of 34 years, Joyce (Burbank) Alexander of Canterbury; a sister, Beverly Alexander-Caylor of Concord; and several nieces and nephews.
Calling hours will be held tomorrow from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. in the Bennett Funeral Home, 209 N. Main St., Concord.
A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated Friday at 1 p.m. in St. John the Evangelist Church, Concord. The Rev. Albert Timothy will be the celebrant. Spring burial will be in Maple Grove Cemetery, Canterbury.

Earl G. Dearborn, TILTON

TILTON - Earl G. Dearborn, 89, formerly of Tilton and Franklin, died Sunday at the New Hampshire Veterans Home in Tilton.
He was born in Franklin and lived there until moving to Tilton several years ago.
He was a self-employed painter for many years, working throughout the Twin Rivers area.
He served with the U.S. Army during World War II.
He was predeceased by his wife, Ethel (Davis) Dearborn.
He is survived by two stepsons, Stanley Parris of Franklin and Max Parris of Missouri; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and three stepsisters, Jean Herman of Broomfield, Colo., Barbara Laughy of Lawton, Okla., and Neoma Robert of Northfield.
Spring burial will be in Franklin Cemetery.

Westly E. Sheldon, PETERBOROUGH

PETERBOROUGH - Westly E. Sheldon, 89, of Greenfield Road, died yesterday at the Monadnock Community Hospital, Peterborough.
He was born in Plainville, Conn., the son of Earle Westly and Cora (Livingston) Sheldon.
He moved to Bennington at an early age and attended local schools there, as well as schools in Milford and the Mt. Hermon School for Boys in Northfield, Mass.
Before World War II, he worked for the U.S. Post Office, and was an avid amateur pilot and motorcycle enthusiast.
During the war, he served in Douglas, Ga., as a flight instructor for the U.S. Army Air Corps. In 1945, he traveled to Greece, and established a malaria control aerial program for the United Nations Relief and Rehabilitation Administration. He later joined the U.S. State Department as a foreign service officer, and served for 30 years in Greece, Pakistan, Lebanon, Italy, Iran and Washington, D.C. He returned to Peterborough after retiring in 1977.
He was a life member of the Congregational Church, Bennington.
He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Mary (Woodvine) Sheldon of Peterborough; a daughter, Margaret Chase of Henniker; a son, William Sheldon of Jaffrey; and several grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
There are no calling hours.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday at the Congregational Church, Bennington. The Rev. Daniel Poling, pastor, will officiate. Spring burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery, Bennington.

Amy S. Beckford, TILTON

TILTON - Amy S. Beckford, 21, died Sunday at Franklin Regional Hospital from injuries sustained in a car accident.
She was born in Derry and lived in Derry and Freemont before moving to Franklin several years ago. She was a graduate of Franklin High School, Class of 1997, and was attending Hesser College.
She was employed as a certified nurse's aide at Merrimack County Nursing Home, Boscawen. She was formerly employed at Knox Mountain Foods and Burger King in Tilton.
She was a member of Roger's Rangers, a colonial reenactment group, and was a communicant of St. Paul's Church.
She is survived by her mother and stepfather, Dawn and Robert Bachler of Franklin; her father and stepmother, Bruce and Darlene Beckford of Grafton; a sister, Elizabeth Beckford of Fort Lee, Va.; four brothers, Thomas Bachler of Franklin, Michael Bachler of Fort Riley, Kan., William Bachler of Manchester and Derek Beckford of Windham; a stepsister, Phaedra Laushance of Claremont; a stepbrother, Jeffrey Thornton of Mechanicsville, Va.; paternal grandparents, Adelard and Theresa Bachler of Northfield; maternal grandfather, Donald Thompson, of Andover, Mass.; paternal grandparents, Waldo and Jackie Beckford of Grafton; a close friend and companion, Ryan Griffin of Tilton; and several aunts, uncles and cousins.
Calling hours will be held today from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. in the Thibault-Neun Funeral Home, 143 Franklin St., Franklin.
A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated tomorrow at 10 a.m. in St. Paul's Church. Spring burial will be in Holy Cross Cemetery, Franklin.
Mildred E. Mason, EPSOM

EPSOM - Mildred E. "Millie" Mason, 70, a former Concord resident, died Friday at Hospice House in Concord.
She was born in Nelson, the daughter of Frank and Mildred (Sherrick) Kendall.
She was employed at Sears for more that 20 years.
She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints and the Heartbreak City Fan Club. She was an avid fan of country music.
She was predeceased by two sons, Bruce and David.
She is survived by a son, Ronald Mason of Menlo Park, Calif.; a daughter, Jacqueline Mason of Allenstown; and four grandchildren.
Calling hours will be held Friday from 6 to 9 p.m. in the Bennett Funeral Home, 209 N. Main St., Concord.
Funeral services will be held Saturday at 11 a.m. in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, 90 Clinton St., Concord. Bishop Harry Hadaway Jr. will officiate. Interment will take place after the service in Blossom Hill Cemetery, Concord.
