William L. 'Bill' or 'Jarv' Darwin
William L. ‘Bill’ or ‘Jarv’ Darwin, 75, of Grand Island, died Saturday, September 15, 2012 at Saint Francis Medical Center with his family at his side.
Mass of Christian Burial will be 11:30 a.m. Saturday at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church. Father Joseph K. Joseph will officiate. Burial will be at Inland Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 5-7 p.m. Friday at Blessed Sacrament with a Christian Wake Service at 7:00 p.m. All Faiths Funeral Home is serving the family.
Bill was born
March 7, 1937 at Trumbull, Nebraska, the son of Roy and Mabel (Strong) Darwin.
Those left to cherish his memory include his wife of 39 years, Franceen; children, Melissa Darwin of Colorado, Michael Darwin of Hastings and Melinda Darwin of Grand Island.
He is also survived by eleven grandchildren.
He was welcomed into heaven by his parents and a grandson, Chance Darwin.
Bill grew up in Trumbull, graduating from Trumbull High in 1954.
He was united in marriage to Franceen Masek on February 24, 1973 at Blessed Sacrament.
Bill was a civilian worker for the Army Ammunition Plant during the Vietnam War. He was later employed by Diamond Plastics for 26 years and Hastings Video.
Bill was a member of Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church, Eagles, Knights of Columbus, NRA and Second Amendment Task Force. He was an avid supporter of the United States military and gun rights. He was also an enthusiastic motorcyclist.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to Blessed Sacrament or Inland Cemetery.
Larry E. Davidson
Larry E. Davidson, 57, of Alda, died Saturday, May 19, 2012 with his family at his side.
All Faiths Funeral Home is serving the family.
Larry was born
February 10, 1955, at Carroll, Iowa, the son of Charles “Elby” and Ruth (Lamaak) Davidson.
Those left to cherish his memory include his wife, Marie; children and their spouses, Brandie Davidson of Fort Worth, TX, Claudia (Saul) Barajas of California; Zuerela (Tom ) Margritz of Lexington, NE, Dydra Zorrero of Lexington and Ricky Zorrero of Alda; mother, Ruth Davidson of Glidden, Iowa; brother and sister-in-law, Bruce (Michelle) Davidson of Carroll, Iowa; sisters and brother-in-law, Virgene Wilson of Mechanicsville, Iowa and Susan (Roger) Boettger of Denison, Iowa.
He is also survived by five grandchildren, Saul Jr., Tomas, Tomas Antonio, Ellie and Deanna.
He was preceded in death by his father, Elby Davidson and a granddaughter, Caprice Barajas.
Larry moved to Nebraska in 1989. He was united in marriage to Marie Barrera on July 3, 2000.
He enjoyed fishing, playing pool and in recent years had discovered a passion for cooking. Larry will be remembered for his big heart and his love of a good time.
Emmanuel DeLeon
Emmanuel DeLeon, infant son of Cynthia DeLeon went to his heavenly home shortly following his birth on Wednesday, September 5, 2012 at Creighton University Medical Center in Omaha.
Service will be 10 a.m. Monday at the Iglesia Monte Sinai Church in Grand Island. The Pastor’s Guadalupe Dominguez and Carlos DeLeon will officiate. Burial will be in the Babyland section of Grand Island Cemetery.

Robert John 'Bob' Ditter
Robert John ‘Bob’ Ditter, 77, of Grand Island died Monday, July 9, 2012 at the Grand Island VA Medical Center.
Robert was born
February 6, 1935 in Grand Island, the son of John and Roma (Reese) Ditter.
Memorial service will be 10:30 a.m. Thursday, July 12 at Grand Island Veterans Home All Faiths Chapel. Reverend Daniel Bremer of Grace Lutheran will officiate. To honor Robert’s wishes, cremation has taken place. Burial of ashes will be in the Veterans’ Memorial Cemetery with military honors provided by the United States Army and the Grand Island Veterans’ Honor Guards. All Faiths Funeral Home is serving the family.
There is no visitation.
Those left to cherish his memory include his children, John Ditter of Giltner, Jana Zulkoski of Littleton, CO, JoDee Saunders of Tucson, AZ, Julie Owens, and her husband Jason, of Grand Island, Jerry Ditter of Grand Junction, CO, Joni Duncan of Kearney, Julie Melena and Jill Bessmer, both of Wayne, NE, and a sister, Georgia Ditter of Grand Island.
He is also survived by nineteen grandchildren and a great granddaughter.
His parents preceded him in death.
Robert grew up in Grand Island graduating from Grand Island Senior High, class of 1952. He entered the United States Army October 13, 1953 and was honorably discharged on September 10, 1955.
Robert spent his time between Nebraska and California. Outgoing and friendly, he proved an excellent salesman over the years. Robert lived ‘out loud’. He never knew a stranger and was a true friend.
The family would like to extend their appreciation to the Grand Island VA Home staff and residents for making Robert’s stay an enjoyable one with their care and outpouring of support and love.
Memorials are suggested to the Grand Island VA Home Occupational Therapy (Ceramic’s Department).
Jose Luis 'Oso' Espinoza
Jose Luis ‘Oso’ Espinoza, 37, of Grand Island died Friday, June 29, 2012 at home with family by his side.
Services will be 1:30 p.m. Tuesday at St. Mary’s Cathedral. The Reverend Jonathan Sorensen will officiate.
Gathering of family and friends will be from 5-7 p.m. Monday with a Rosary at 7 p.m. at All Faiths Funeral Home.
Jose was born
August 24, 1974 at Mexico City, Mexico, the son of Juan Espinoza Ortiz and Petra Martinez Ramirez.
Survivors include his wife, Lisa; his parents; children, Crystal, Raymond, Jason, Jesica Casares, and Jose Espinoza, all of Grand Island; brothers, Juan Antonio, Ramon, and Jose Espinoza all of Mexico; sisters, Maria (Oscar) Espinoza Pena of Grand Island, and Sandra and Monce Espinoza of Mexico.
Other survivors include his grandchildren, Brianna, Donnie, Alex, Bella, Kya, Benito and Payton; nephews, Victor and Alen Hernandez; and nieces, Alexandra Pena and Anissa Espinoza; and his best friend Gabriel Gonzalez.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents; brother, Jesus Espinoza; and mother-in-law, Sharon Casares.
Jose was raised in Mexico and also received his education in Mexico. He married Lisa Casares on November 25, 1996 at Grand Island and they recently renewed their vows through St. Mary’s Cathedral. He began working for Diamond Engineering in Grand Island in 1999.
He enjoyed spending time with all of his kids and grandkids, his family get-togethers, and he loved to cook. As a kid Jose loved to roller skate in Mexico. Jose especially loved to spend time with his girls, his daughter, Jesica, and his granddaughters, Princess Fiona and Bebe.

Kenneth C. 'Mr. Ken' or 'Kenny' Ewoldt
Kenneth C. ‘Mr. Ken’ or ‘Kenny’ Ewoldt, 61, of Grand Island, died Friday, April 6, 2012 at Saint Francis Medical Center.
Celebration of Life service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, April 13, in All Faiths Funeral Home Chapel. Dan Naranjo will officiate. Military honors will be provided by the United States Army and Grand Island Veterans Honor Guard.
Visitation will be from 5-8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
Kenny was born
December 18, 1950, in Grand Island, the son of Daniel and Evelyn (Danburg) Ewoldt.
Those left to cherish his memory include his cherished wife, Deborah; children and their spouses, Scott (Raquel) Ewoldt of Peoria, Arizona, Timica Ewoldt (Doug Schaetzle) of Grand Island, and Rusty (Aimee) Ewoldt of Peoria; brothers, Ron (Cathy) Ewoldt, Danny (Sue) Ewoldt and Roger Ewoldt (Debbie Williams), all of Grand Island; and sisters, Shirley (Marvin) Keller, Connie (Larry) Tylkowski, and Jacque Ewoldt, all of Grand Island.
He is also survived by 14 grandchildren, Kenisha, Timithy, Brooklyn, Taylor, Rylee, Caitlyn, Cay, Madison, Caleb, Macie, Brodie, Jacob, Ashley and Heather; two great grandchildren, Brayden and Chloe; sisters-in-law, Misti Ramirez and Kathy (Armando) Sigala of Peoria; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Gary Ewoldt and his Grandma Tommy.
Kenny grew up and attended school in Grand Island; graduating from Grand Island Senior High, Class of 1969. He also attended Grand Island Business School. On July 24, 1970, he entered the United States Army serving during the Vietnam War. He was honorably discharged on August 31, 1973.
Kenny was united in marriage to Deborah Ann Ramirez on October 13, 1970. Following their marriage they made Grand Island their home until moving the family to Arizona in 1985. Kenny was employed by the U.S. Postal Service. After his retirement, he and Debbie purchased a second home in Grand Island where they spent their summers.
Bowling was Kenny’s passion. His enjoyments also included golfing, horse racing, Husker football and cooking for his family. His grandchildren were the light of his life, second only to his ‘Hunny Bunny’.
Memorials are suggested to the family to be designated at a later date.
David M. Fisher
David M. Fisher, 45 of Grand Island died Sunday, May 6, 2012 at St. Francis Medical Center.
Celebration of life service will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at All Faiths Funeral Home. Dan Naranjo will officiate. Burial of ashes will be in the Grand Island Cemetery.
There will be no visitation. Cremation has taken place.
Mr. Fisher was born
on June 22, 1966, in Grand Island to Henry David and Yvonne (Wiles) Fisher.
Survivors include his mother, Yvonne “Bonnie” Fisher of Grand Island; aunt, Cheryl Dubbs of North Bend, and cousins Kevin Dubbs, Brian Dubbs, Danny and Stephanie Dubbs, Shannon and Rob Krueger, Kathleen Marino, Patricia Marino, Karen Elizalde, Marsha and Randy Stratman, Linda Conway, Scott Worth and a special friend, Adrienne Doughty.
He was preceded in death by his father and grandparents, Milton and Gertrude Wiles, and Henry and Lillian Fisher and four aunts and three uncles and two cousins.
At the age of three months David traveled to the island of Guam with his mother joining his dad at the Naval Air Station, returning to Grand Island two years later. He attended Gates Elementary, Barr Junior High and graduated from Grand Island Senior High. He received his undergraduate degree at the University of Denver and his Juris Doctorate at the University of Nebraska Law School.
He lived in Connecticut for several years where he was an Assistant Attorney for the Superior Court in New Brittan, CT and later as an attorney for Binder and Binder Law Firm of New York City.
David especially enjoyed trains, Yankee Baseball, and was a history buff. He loved to travel having traveled to London, Paris, Switzerland and other countries, and many cities in the United States.
Memorials are suggested to Central Nebraska Humane Society or to the donor’s choice.
Gabriel Lopez Flores
Gabriel Lopez Flores, Jr., infant son of Maribel Flores and Gabriel Lopez Manriquez of Grand Island, was born
into his eternal home of Monday, July 9, 2012 at St. Francis Medical Center.
Services will be 10:30 Tuesday at All Faiths Funeral Home. Reverend Richard L. Piontkowski will officiate. Burial will be in ‘Babyland’ at the Grand Island Cemetery.
Survivors include his parents; grandparents, Adolfo Flores and Maria Flores of Grand Island and MariCruz Manriquez, Gabriel Lopez Vazquez and great-grandparents, Guadalupe Flores, Jose Luis Flores and Guadalupe Garcia, and David Guzman.
