Konnar Thomas Perry-Forney, 1, of Columbus died Tuesday, January 6, 2004 at Childrens Hospital in Omaha. Funeral services are 11: 00 am Friday at the United Methodist Church in Shelby with the Rev. "J." Green officiating. Visitation is on Thursday from 5-7 pm at McKown Funeral Home in Columbus and continues from 10: 00 am until service time Friday at the Church. Interment will be in the Shelby Cemetery.
Konnar Thomas Perry-Forney was born December 2, 2002 in Yankton, South Dakota to Kurtis Perry and Keli Forney. He is survived by his parents, two sisters; Kendra and Kassica Perry of Phoenix, AZ, one brother; Kollin Forney of Columbus, Grandmothers Mary Lou Perry of Shelby and Vici Brooks of Columbus, and a Great Grandfather Clyde Mather of Norfolk. He is preceded in death by his Grandfather Van Thomas "Tom" Perry and an Uncle Kollin Perry.

Jean Foltz, age 93, of Columbus died Saturday; January 31, 2004 at Beverly Health Care in Columbus. Funeral services are 10: 30 a.m. Thursday; February 5, 2004 at St. Isidore Catholic Church in Columbus. The Rev. Joseph A. Miksch will officiate. Visitation will be Wednesday after 5: 00 p.m. at the Church. A vigil will be held Wednesday evening at 6: 00 p.m. also at the Church. Visitation will continue Thursday morning 8: 00-10: 00 a.m. at the McKown Funeral Home. Burial will be at St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery-rural Humphrey.
Jean A. Foltz was born February 10, 1910 in Humphrey, Nebraska to Clem and Alvina (Ruhkamp) Wemhoff. She received her early education at St. Mary's Parochial School and graduated from Humphrey St. Francis in 1928. She married Paul J. Foltz on May 1, 1934 in Humphrey. Along with raising her family she was a homemaker and helped on the family farm . She moved into Columbus in 1974. Jean was a member of St. Isidore Church, Charter Member of Catholic Daughters of America for over 50 years, Christian Mothers and a founder of the St. Isidore Quilting Ladies. Jean was a past school board member of rural St. Anthony School. She had worked on the Platte County Election Board for 20 years and delivered meals on wheels. She enjoyed playing cards and belonged to several card clubs.

Earl L. Geiser, 79, of Columbus died Monday, January 12, 2004 at Columbus Community Hospital. Funeral services are 1: 00 pm Thursday, January 15 at McKown Funeral Home with the Rev. Tom Weisbecker officiating. Visitation is on Wednesday from 3-5: 30 pm and on Thursday from 11 am until service time. Interment is in Columbus Cemetery with military honors by Hartman Post #84 American Legion Honor Guard.
Earl L. Geiser was born January 2, 1925 in Columbus to Hans John & Anna (Pinkustt) Geiser. He attended Kramer High School before joining the US Army. He served with the 88th Cavalry during World War II from 1943 - 1946. He returned to Columbus where he operated a filling station. He went to work at Becton-Dickinson where he retired from. He lived on an acreage near Osceola before moving to Columbus. Earl enjoyed wintering in Texas.
He is survived by his brother Frank of California.
He is preceded in death by his parents.

Louise Frances Cockson was born March 9, 1916 in Polk County, Nebraska to Frank and Josephine (Jarecki) Stachura. She attended St. Stanislaus grade school in Duncan. She married Harold Joseph Cockson on September 26, 1938 at St. Mary's Catholic Church - rural Osceola, Nebraska. Louise lived on a farm south of Columbus her entire life. She was member of St. Joseph's Church - rural Bellwood, Nebraska and the Altar Society. Louise was a homemaker and enjoyed gardening, playing cards and dancing.

Frank A. Kosiba was born February 21, 1925 in Columbus, Nebraska to John and Sophie (Rokus) Kosiba. He received his education at District #5 in Richland and continued at St. Francis Academy in Columbus. He married Clementine Paprocki on November 20, 1948 in Columbus. The couple lived in Richland and Columbus. Frank worked for over 40 years at Irrigation Pump Company in Columbus. Following his retirement he continued to work part time. He was a member of St. Bonaventure Church. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, woodworking and gardening.

James D. "Jim" Treadway, age 86, of Columbus, died Wednesday; February 18, 2004 at the Columbus Community Hospital. James D. "Jim" Treadway was born January 18, 1918 in Polk County, Nebraska to Lloyd Ernest and Edna Martha (Lockard) Treadway. He received his early education in Osceola and graduated from Osceola High School in 1934. He farmed near Bellwood during this time. He was married to Dorothy Schlesinger on December 10, 1938. Jim served in the United States Army as a medical assistant form 1943 until 1946. He was stationed at Camp Pendleton, California. Upon his discharge he moved to Columbus. He worked at the Reece Wooden Shoe Factory, Goetz Distributors and e Country Club Beer for several years. He drove a truck from 1955-1963 for Habco and at Behlen Manufacturing until 1980. He was a member of the American Legion Hartman Post #84, Fraternal Order of Eagles and AmVET.

Arnold "Arnie" Wayne Lewis, 75, died Wednesday, January 14, 2004 at his home in Columbus. Memorial services are 11: 00 am Saturday, January 17 at the First United Methodist Church in Columbus with the Rev. Bill Ritter officiating. The family will receive friends from 10: 00 am until service time Saturday at the Church. Military Honors will be conducted by Hartman Post #84 American Legion Honor Guard. Interment will be at a later date in Paxton, NE.
Arnold Wayne Lewis was born October 5, 1928 in Cheyenne, Wyoming to Robert T. & Marie Violet (Leist) Lewis. He received his education in Wyoming before entering the US Army where he served in the South Pacific during World War II and served in Korea and Japan during the Korean Conflict. He married Lila Jean Gifford in September of 1957 in Paxton, NE. He worked in Portland, Oregon as a Draftsman before coming to Columbus where he worked for 24 years at Becton-Dickinson, lastly as a truck driver before retiring in 1988. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Columbus, past member of the VFW Post 3704, and the American Legion in Paxton. He loved to read, listen to the radio, and his dog.
He is survived by his wife, Lila Lewis, and two sons; Ryan and Wayne Lewis.
He is preceded in death by his parents, and two brothers; Robert and Ronald Lewis.

Sonny J. Campbell was born March 17, 1960 in Blair, Nebraska to Melvin and Alice (Jump) Campbell. He grew up in Blair and graduated from Blair High School in 1978. He entered the United States Marine Corps July 3, 1978 and served four years where he was stationed at Camp Pendleton, California. Upon his return he attended the University of Nebraska at Lincoln and Southeast Community College. He began working for the Federal Aviation Administration as an electronics technician in Scottsbluff for 4 years and Columbus for the past 11 years. He married Melissa Houston on April 25, 1998 in Columbus. His passions were hunting and his family. His hobbies included trapshooting, fishing, bowling, music, and history. He was a member of St. Isidore Catholic Church, The National Rifle Association, PASS, Ducks Unlimited, Pheasants Forever, Rocky Mountain Elk Federation and Hartman Post #84 American Legion.

Alice M. Janssen was born May 18, 1920 in Creston, Nebraska to Carl and Anna (Dirks) Luedtke. She was baptized and confirmed at St. Peter's Lutheran Church in Creston and graduated from Creston High School. On March 28, 1940 Alice was united in marriage to Clarence Janssen at St. Peter's Church in Creston. The couple moved to Columbus in the late 50's. Alice worked for Dale Electronics and then at Becton - Dickinson where she retired from. She was a member of Peace Lutheran Church and enjoyed knitting, playing cards and visiting with family and friends.

Robert D. Weber was born July 31, 1948 in Columbus, Nebraska to John and Dorothy ( Hughes) Weber. He received his early education in Monroe Public Schools and graduated from Monroe High in 1966. He attended college in Missouri Valley and Neddleton Computer School in Omaha. He served in the United States Army during the Vietnam War from 1968-1970. He was married to Joan Jasper on November 7, 1970 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Platte Center. They continued to lived in Monroe. He worked at Middle State Manufacturing for a time and Lindsay Manufacturing for nearly 30 years. He was a member of St. Joseph Church in Platte Center and was a member of the Monroe Volunteer Fire and Rescue Department where he had served as rescue chief. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and was an avid sports fan.
Bob is survived by his wife Joan of Monroe; Daughter: Lacy and Jason Jacobi of Monroe; Daughter: Krista and Brent Irish of Oklahoma City, OK; Son: John of Monroe; sister: Yvonne Groteluschen of Evergreen, CO; and 3 grandsons: Ryan Jacobi, Blaine Jacobi and Derek Irish. He was preceded in death by his parents.
