Hilda Anderson
Hilda S. Anderson, 84, of Fargo, died Monday, June 11, 2001, in her home.
Hilda S. Tiege was born January 14, 1917, in Sanborn, ND. Hilda spent her childhood in Palermo, ND. In 1942 she married
Julius E. Kvamme in Palermo, ND. Together they farmed near Palermo. Julius died in 1964.
Hilda moved to Stanley, ND where she worked as a cook at Montrail Bethel Homes. In 1976 she moved to Fargo. Hilda worked at Dakota Heartland Hospital in housekeeping. In 1981Hilda retired and married
Ernest Anderson. Together they spent their winters in Arizona until his death in 1991.
She is preceded in death by her husbands, 2 sisters, and 3 brothers.
She is survived by, 2 sons; Clarence (Janice) Kvamme, of Palermo, ND, Jerry Kvamme, of Fargo, ND, 2 daughters; Karen (Edward) Schlosser, of Fargo, ND, Jane (Ron) Axtman, of Moorhead, MN, one brother; Bill Smith, of Pleasant Hills, CA, one sister; Mildred (Warren) Walkinshaw, of Argusville, ND, 9 grandchildren, and 12 great-grandchildren.
Funeral Services will be held Thursday, June 14, 2001 at 2 PM in Faith Lutheran Church, Palermo, ND.
Visitation: Wednesday, June 13, 2001 from 5-7 PM at Hanson-Runsvold Funeral Home, with a prayer service at 7 PM.
Burial: Faith Lutheran cemetery, Palermo, ND.
Howard Anderson JR
Howard Anderson, Jr. was born on October 23, 1964, in Moorhead, MN. He attended Sabin Elementary and graduated from Moorhead High School. After graduation, he enlisted in the US Army. He was first stationed at Ft. Knox, KY. He then was transferred to Ft. Jackson, NC and then to Ft. Lee, VA where he was a mail clerk. He was named soldier of the month while there. He then attended NDSU and graduated from there with a political science degree. He then attended UND law school and graduated in 1992. He was a licensed attorney in North Dakota and Minnesota. He ran and owned Anderson Law Office of Fargo. Howard died Saturday, June 9th, 2001 at Merit Care Hospital, Fargo.
He is preceded in death by: Grandparents, Herman & Lena Anderson and August Siedschlag.
He is survived by: Parents, Howard, Sr. & Sharon Anderson (Dilworth, MN), Grandparent Anna Siedschlag (Lengby, MN), Sister: Wanda Simonson (Jon), Nieces Ally Simonson and Quincee Simonson, all of Moorhead, MN.

Cora Archibald
Cora Archibald, 97, 8400 Sheridan Road, died Monday, July 30, 2001 at Kenosha Hospital and Medical Center, Kenosha, WI.
Cora was born February 7, 1904 in Pelican Rapids, MN, she was the daughter of Peter and Anna (Lee) Peterson. She graduated from Pelican Rapids High school and Interstate Business College, Fargo. On March 21, 1926, she was married
ton Frank V. Archibald in Minneapolis, MN. She resided in Fargo for 75 years. She worked as an office manager at National Life Insurance in Fargo. Her husband died on May 10, 1991. She moved to Kenosha on August 6, 1997 from Fargo to live with her granddaughter, Barbara Bates.
A member of St. John Lutheran Church in Fargo, she was active in women’s groups. She also attended St. Mary’s Lutheran Church in Kenosha. She enjoyed traveling with her husband, collecting antiques, cooking, entertaining, flowers and gardening.
Surviving are a daughter, Lois B. (Gordon) Schnell of Kenosha and her granddaughter, Barbara Bates of Kenosha.
A sister, Vernice and a brother, Arthur Peterson, preceded her in death.
Visitation: One hour before services at the church.
Funeral: 1 PM, Monday, August 6, 2001 at St. John Lutheran Church, Fargo.
Burial: Riverside cemetery, Fargo.
Delores Bladow
Dolores D. Bladow, 59, of West Fargo, ND died Sunday, September 30, 2001 at MeritCare Hospital, Fargo.
Dolores was born November 15, 1941 in Breckenridge, MN, the daughter of Edward and Florence (Suchla) Vaplon. She grew up on the farm in rural Lidgerwood, ND and attended St. Boniface School. After working in Lidgerwood, Wahpeton, Fargo, and Milwaukee, she moved to Hankinson where she married
Lyle W. Bladow. She worked as a nurse's aid at St. Gerard Hospital. In 1985, Dolores moved back to Fargo where she worked as a Certified Nurse's Aid at Elim Nursing Home until her death.
She is survived by her three sons, Shane, Bradley (Karissa), and Ryan Bladow; all from Hankinson; a daughter, Lana (Joe) Charvat, Bismarck; her mother, Florence Vaplon, West Fargo; a brother, Arnold (Rhea) Vaplon, Coon Rapids, MN; and four sisters, Geraldine (Darrell) Cariveau, Fargo, Marilyn (Rod) Hoff, Bismarck, Colette (Bob) Jorgensen, Castle Rock, CO and Evonne Vaplon, West Fargo; special family friend Rebecca Gardner, and six nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, October 3, 2001 at 10:30 a.m. at Sts. Anne and Joachim Church, 3329 S. University Drive, Fargo.
Visitation will be Tuesday, October 2, 2001 from 4-8 p.m. with a prayer service at 8:00 p.m.at Hanson-Runsvold Funeral Home, Fargo.
Burial services will be at 2:30pm at Cayuga cemetery in Cayuga, ND.
Christine Braaten
Christine Braaten (Odegard) of Fargo, ND, died Sunday, June 3, 2001 at Bethany Homes in Fargo.
Christine was born April 28, 1906 in Rollette County near Nanson, ND to Edward and Clara Blegen. On May 24, 1925 she married
John Braaten in Nanson, ND. After their marriage, she resided in Rugby where she lived for fifty years. John died on June 4, 1991. In 1993, she moved to Bethany Homes in Fargo where she lived until her death.
Christine was preceded in death by her parents, Edward and Clara Odegard, her husband, John Braaten, two brothers, Olaf and Edwin Braaten, and three sisters, Selma Ericson, Hannah Filteau, Alice Larson.
Christine is survived by one son, Elman Braaten (Sharon), two daughters, Lois Jacobson (Erling) and Lola Ruff (Dale), one brother, Hans Odegard, nine grandchildren, and thirteen great-grandchildren.
FUNERAL: 11:00am Thursday, June 7, 2001 at Bethany Homes, Fargo

Alice Bursack
Alice I. Bursack, 91, of Fargo, ND, died Thursday, October 25, 2001 in Rosewood On Broadway, Fargo.
Alice Warne was born June 10, 1910 in Fargo, ND, the daughter John T. and Ivy (Silvernail) Warne. Alice graduated from Fargo Central High School in 1928. In 1932 she graduated from NDSU (NDAC) where she was active in Alpha Gamma Delta Sorority. On July 26, 1935, Alice married
Dr. Milton A. Bursack in Fargo, ND. Alice was a life long resident of Fargo. She remained active in AGD for a number of years after college and was also active in the First Methodist Church in Fargo for many years.
She was preceded in death by her husband Milton A. Bursack.
She is survived by her daughter and three sons; Lois I. Bursack of Albuquerque, William B. Bursack (Eleanor) of New Brighton, MN, John M. Bursack of Manitou Springs, CO, and Charles W. Bursack of Rapid City, SD; and eight grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, October 30, at 1 PM at First United Methodist Church, Fargo.
Donald Carlson
Donald L. Carlson, 63, of Fargo, ND, died Saturday, August 25, 2001 in Merit Care Hospital, Fargo.
Donald Lee Carlson was born June 5, 1938 in Elgin, ND, the third son of Arthur and Matilda Carlson. Don graduated from Elgin High School in 1956. After graduating from high school he started work with the North Dakota Highway Department in 1957. Don worked with them until 1977 at which time he was employed with Viguel Consultant Engineering in Dickinson, ND. In 1979, Don began employment with Border States Paving, Inc., where he was currently employed as Vice President.
Don Married Beatrice Ann Jaeger of Hebron, ND in 1958.
Don was an active member of ND Professional Land Surveyors, BPOE of Fargo, ND, Fargo-Moorhead Sertoma Club, Masonic Bismarck Lodge 5 AF & AM, El Zagal Shrine Temple where he served as Trustee for ten years, Mobil Nobel Unit where he drove car #1 and was known as "Crash Carlson", Shrine Hospital Circus Dad; and a member of Edgewood United Methodist Church where he served on numerous committees, currently of the Board of Administration; and was on various committees for the AGC of ND.
Don is survived by his wife, Bea; three children, Mark R. Carlson (Kelly) of Round Rock, Texas, Lee Ann Furness (Jeff) of Rochester, MN, and Dawn Kay Schaffer (Marcus) of Fargo, ND; three grandsons, Erik, Joe and Andy Furness, and three granddaughters, Cortney and Brooke Carlson and Alex Palmer-Schaffer; two brothers, Doug A. Carlson (Loretta) of Bismarck, ND and Martin Carlson (Jane) of Elgin, ND; numerous aunts, cousins, nieces, and nephews; and many, many friends throughout the entire state of North Dakota.
Donald was preceded in death by his parents.
The family would prefer memorials to El Zagal Board of Trustees and the Edgewood United Methodist Church.
