KENSAL -- Anna Jorgenson, 104, Kensal, died June 24, 2001, in a Carrington care center. Arrangements are pending with Evans Funeral Home, Carrington.

Katherine Kelsch
Katherine D. Kelsch, 84, Rancho Mirage, Calif., formerly of Bismarck, died Feb. 28, 2001, in Palm Desert, Calif. A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Trinity Lutheran Church, Bismarck. She is survived by her husband, John, of Rancho Mirage and Bismarck.

George Myers
George Myers, 91, Bismarck, died June 24, 2001, in a local care center. Arrangements are pending with Eastgate Funeral Service, Bismarck.

Walter Olsen Jr.
STANTON -- Walter S. Olsen Jr., 65, Stanton, died June 23, 2001, in a Bismarck hospital. Services will be held at 1 p.m. MDT Tuesday at New Life Assembly of God Church, Beulah, with the Rev. Drew Becker officiating. Burial will be in Deapolis Cemetery, rural Stanton. Visitation will be held from 2 to 8 p.m. MDT today at Seibel Funeral Home, Hazen. Walter Sigaard Olsen Jr. was born April 3, 1936, in Luck, Wis., a son of Walter S. Olsen Sr. and Katherine (Schauland) Olsen. He was raised and educated at Luck, graduating from Luck High School in 1954. Walter worked on the iron ore ships in the Great Lakes for a time. On April 12, 1958, he married Judith Anne Ludke at Luck. They lived in Waukegan, Ill., where he worked as a welder. They moved to Waukesha, Wis., where he owned and operated a hydraulic jack repair shop, before moving to Dresser, Wis., where he operated his father's blacksmith shop and hydraulic jack business as well as farming. In 1976 Walter and Judith moved to Stanton, where he worked as a pipe fitter at various power plant construction sites. Judith died Oct. 30, 1987. On July 28, 1996, he married Vicky Timmons at the Nazarene Church in Bismarck. Walter enjoyed farming, hunting, fishing and especially spending time with his grandchildren. He is survived by his wife, Vicky; five daughters, Mavis and Donald Allen, Hartland, Wis., Valerie and Al Gegelman Jr., Trinidad, Colo., Bernadette Olsen, Beulah, Tammey and Mike Schutt, Center, and Gabriella Olsen, Stanton; one son, Walter S. Olsen III and Sandy, Mandan; 15 grandchildren; one sister, Dora Chivers, Waukesha, Wis.; one brother, Jack and Judy Olsen, Enid, Okla.; and two special sisters-in-law, Kathy Pride, Mukwonago, Wis., and Karen Foster, Dousman, Wis. He was preceded in death by his wife, Judith Anne; one granddaughter, Joannie; his parents; and one brother, George.

Doris Raveling
WILLISTON -- Doris Raveling, 88, Williston, died June 24, 2001, in a Williston medical center. Services will be held at 3:30 p.m. Wednesday at Gloria Dei Lutheran Church, Williston. Further arrangements are pending with Everson Funeral Home, Williston.

Adolph Schnaidt
HEBRON -- Adolph Schnaidt, 83, Hebron, died June 22, 2001, in a Bismarck hospital following a brief illness. Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. MDT Wednesday at St. John United Church of Christ, Hebron, with the Revs. Teresa Heupel and Herbert Schauer officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Visitation will be held from 4 to 9 p.m. MDT today at Spangelo Funeral Home, Hebron, and will continue for one hour prior to services at the church. Adolph was born Feb. 16, 1918, on the family farm near Hebron, the son of John and Rosina (Winterroth) Schnaidt. He was raised northwest of Hebron and educated at the Elm Creek school. Adolph entered the Civilian Conservation Corps in 1936 and served at Ogden, Utah, until his release in 1937. He married Irene Stiefel on Oct. 24, 1975, at Mandan. Adolph was a lifetime farmer of rural Hebron until he retired in 1984 and moved into Hebron, where he had resided since. He will be missed by all who knew him. Adolph was a member of St. John United Church of Christ. He is survived by his wife, Irene; one son, John Schnaidt, Dickinson; three stepchildren, Sandy (Don) Lang, Dickinson, Randy Stiefel, Glen Ullin, and Jody Stiefel, Hebron; one grandson, Jason Stiefel, Portland, Ore.; two brothers, Carl (Ann), Hebron, and Walter (Leona), St. Paul, Minn.; three sisters, Lillian (Glenn) Mattson, Olympia, Wash., Helen Schmidt, Harrogate, Tenn., and Bernice (Al) Hohbein, Minneapolis, Minn.; one sister-in-law, Gertrude Schnaidt, St. Paul, Minn.; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; and one brother, Paul.

Monte Swenson
Monte Swenson, 52, Bismarck, died June 22, 2001, in a Bismarck hospital. Services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday at Church of St. Mary, Bismarck. Further arrangements are pending with Eastgate Funeral Service, Bismarck.

James Wallace
HETTINGER -- James Wallace, 57, Hettinger, formerly of Mott, died June 24, 2001, in the Mott care center. Services will be held at 10 a.m. MDT Tuesday at Evanson-Jensen Funeral Home, Mott. Burial will be in Sunnyslope Cemetery, Mott. He is survived by his mother, Mary Wallace, Mott; three sisters, Alita Miller, Mott, Helen Reichert, Spokane, Wash., and Jane Rosen, Bismarck; and a half-sister, Myrtle Heinle, Missoula, Mont.

Allet Anderson
WILLISTON -- Allet V. Anderson, 94, Williston, died June 24, 2001, in the Williston hospital. Services will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday at Gloria Dei Lutheran Church, Williston. Funeral arrangements are pending at Fulkerson Funeral Home, Williston.

Harvey Bertsch
ZAP -- Harvey G. Bertsch, 61, Zap, died June 23, 2001, in the Hazen hospital. Services will be held at 10 a.m. MDT Wednesday at Immanuel Lutheran Church, Zap, with the Rev. Richard Melchert officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Visitation will be from 3-7 p.m. today at Seibel Funeral Home, Beulah. Harvey G. Bertsch was born Sept. 5, 1939, at Mandan, the son of William and Beatha (Ellwein) Bertsch. He graduated from Zap High School in 1957 and served in the U.S. Army for a time, spending time overseas. For many years, Harvey drove school bus for the Zap and Beulah school districts. Harvey loved to fish and spend time outdoors. He is survived by his parents, William and Beatha Bertsch, Zap; two daughters and sons-in-law, Kim and Paul Westbrook, San Antonio, Texas, and Lauri and Don Doll, Bismarck; one granddaughter, Brittany Westbrook; and one step-grandson, Braden Doll. Harvey was preceded in death by his grandparents.

Violet Bohara
MERCER -- Violet Bohara, 74, Mercer, died June 23, 2001, in the Underwood nursing home. Services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday at Assembly of God Church, McClusky, with burial in Mercer Cemetery. She is survived by her husband, Fred; two sons, Vernon, Burlington, and Allen, Rollette; one daughter, Karen Beckman, Sturgis, S.D.; 10 grandchildren; one great-grandchild; two sisters, Delores Ahl, McClusky, and Betty Martin, Bismarck; and one brother, Raymond Blumhagen, Bismarck. Otto Burkhardt
JAMESTOWN -- Otto E. Burkhardt, 101, Jamestown, died June 24, 2001, in the Jamestown care center. Services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at First Baptist Church, Jamestown. Further arrangements are pending at Eddy Funeral Home, Jamestown.

Mildred Bushee
Mildred Bushee, 76, Bismarck, died June 25, 2001, in a Bismarck hospital. Services will be held at 3 p.m. Thursday at Eastgate Funeral Chapel, with the Rev. Charles Heidt officiating. Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery, Bismarck. Visitation will be from 5-9 p.m. today and 9 a.m.-9 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home, where a vigil will begin at 8 p.m. Wednesday. Millie was born March 12, 1925, at Missouri Valley, Iowa, the daughter of Fred and Lela (Pruett) Belt. She was raised in Grand Forks, where she attended Grand Forks Central. Millie married Richard B. Bushee on Aug. 19, 1943, in Grand Forks. They farmed until 1966, when they moved to Mandan. Millie and Richard owned and operated the MF Motel and the Gaiety Lounge in 1977, when they retired and moved to Bismarck. Millie and Richard enjoyed their retirement together, traveling and being with family. Millie thoroughly enjoyed country music, especially Ricky Van Shelton, and attending concerts. She was also a big basketball fan and followed the L.A. Lakers games. She enjoyed trying her luck on the slots, but what she felt most lucky about was being blessed with her wonderful family. She is survived by her daughters and sons-in-law, Carole and Larry Luce, Fort Worth, Texas, Rosemary and Ronnie McIntire, Bismarck, Michelle and David Anderson, Rockford, Minn., Lissa and Darrell Willis, Fort Worth; his sons, Richard M. and Kathy, Mandan, and Jay, Bismarck; 12 grandchildren, Tim Young, Thorton, Colo., Tyler, Travis and Andy Young, and Darrell Willis, all of Fort Worth, Rochelle McIntire, Chicago, Brian and Dawn Bushee, Mandan, Jay and Michael Bushee, and Chris and Matt Lang, all of Bismarck; six great-grandchildren, Jaden, Braden, Brianna, Lucas, Erica and Alex; one brother, Freeman Belt, White Bear Lake, Minn.; her sister, Ione Anderson, Coon Rapids, Minn. She was preceded in death by her husband, Richard, who died March 25, 2001; four brothers; and two sisters.

Verna Christman
LEMMON, S.D. -- Verna M. Christman, 71, Lemmon, died June 24, 2001, in her home. Services will be held at 2 p.m. MDT Friday at Prairie Hills Church of God, Lemmon, with burial in Greenhill Cemetery, Lemmon. She is survived by three sisters, Vivian Hulm, Glad Valley, S.D., EulalaLensegrav, Rapid City, S.D., and Marcella Norman, San Antonio, Texas; four brothers, Floyd Martin, Shadehill, John Martin, Bismarck, Dean Martin, Lemmon, and Alvin Martin, Rapid City. JAMESTOWN -- Mollie Clemens, 77, Jamestown, died June 24, 2001, in the Jamestown care center. Services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday at St. John's Lutheran Church, Jamestown, with burial in Sunset Memorial Gardens, Jamestown. She is survived by her husband, Lloyd; four children, Gerald, Jamestown, Alan, Anchorage, Alaska, Wayne, Glyndon, Minn., and Brian, Jamestown; five grandchildren; one great-granddaughter; one brother, Arthur Walker, West Fargo; two sisters, Irene Schock, Modesto, Calif., and Erna Headland, Medina; one step-brother, Melvin Geist, Napoleon; and one step-sister, Esther Lang, Napoleon. She is survived by three children, Laverne Harr, Leon and Vaughn, all of Jamestown; six grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and five step-grandchildren.

Otto Feickert Jr.
Otto Feickert Jr., 74, Bismarck, died June 24, 2001, in a New Salem care center. Memorial services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Christ the King Catholic Church, Mandan. Further arrangements are pending Bismarck Funeral Home.

George Myers
George C. Myers, 91, St. Vincent's Care Center, Bismarck, died June 24, 2001, in the care center. Services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday at McCabe United Methodist Church, Bismarck, with the Revs. Art Scanson and Rick Fossum officiating. Burial will be in Sunset Memorial Gardens, Bismarck. Visitation will be from 3-9 p.m. today at Eastgate Funeral Service, where a prayer service will begin at 7 tonight. George was born June 27, 1909, at Cincinnati, Ohio, the son of George David and Ida Mae (Haisley) Myers. The family moved to North Dakota in 1916, and George grew up in Werner and Dunn Center. He received his education in Cincinnati and Werner. He moved to Bismarck in 1928. George married Eunice E. Bowen on May 14, 1933. She passed away on Nov. 19, 1980. He married Bertha Grossman Bender on Nov. 30, 1985. He was employed as a bookbinder at the Bismarck Tribune, as owner and operator of Myers Grocery, and as a salesman for National Biscuit Co. He became a pressman for Conrad Publishing Co. In 1961 he achieved his lifelong goal when he and his brother, Calvin, opened Dakota Printing Co. He continued to work there until his retirement in 1980. George was a member of McCabe United Methodist Church, Pressmen's Union, United Travelers, Elks, and was a lifetime member of the Eagles Club. He enjoyed woodworking his entire life. He is survived by his wife, Bertha; three daughters and two sons-in-law, Lyda Scharnowske, Bismarck, Mavis and Eugene Fuher, Bismarck, and Linda and Luray Biederstedt, Bismarck; one stepdaugther, Carrie Grossman, Bismarck; one stepson and daughter-in-law, Mike and Gail Bender, Norman, Okla.; nine grandchildren, Kerri Scharnowske, Kathy Kalvoda, Karen and Paul Munson, Robert and Dani Scharnowske, Katherine and Jay LInk, Richard and Tanya Fuher, Heidi Biederstedt, Tyer Biederstedt and Jessica Bender; seven great-grandchildren, Kimberly Kalvoda, Kelly Kalvoda, Kayla Fuher, Grant Munson, Lexi Munson, Joseph Fuher and Hanna Fuher; one brother, Calvin Myers; one nephew, John, and his wife, Audrey Myers; and their children, Shanna and Ryan. George was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Eunice; his sister, Alice; and his son, Richard. The family prefers memorials to McCabe United Methodist Church, or the donor's choice.
