Marie Davison
Marie C. Davison, 93, Missouri Slope Lutheran Care Center, died Jan. 26, 2000 in a local hospital. A graveside service will be held in the spring.
Marie was born June 22, 1906 at Carson, the daughter of Ludwig M. and Martha (Emerson) Hamery. She was raised and educated at Carson. On Sept. 5, 1929 she and M.V. Davison were married. They lived at Killdeer, where she served as Deputy County Superintendent of Schools for Dunn County.
Marie is survived by one daughter and son-in-law, Bette and Ben Ottmar, Bismarck; one son and daughter-in-law, Wayne and JoAnne Davison, Grand Forks; five sisters and two brothers-in-law, Mattie Hamery and LaRue DelaBarre, both of Bismarck, Lillian Flaig, Ames, Iowa, Alice and Roger Carlisle, Ames, Iowa, and Pearl and Huber Jordan, Green Bay, Wis.; 11 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, M.V. Davison; one son, Lyle Davison; her parents and one brother; one nephew and one niece. (Eastgate Funeral Service, Bismarck)
Anna Krausz
LEMMON, S.D. -- Anna Krausz, 96, Lemmon, died Jan. 24, 2000 in the Lemmon nursing home. Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. MST Friday, at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Lemmon. Burial will be in Greenhill Cemetery.
She is survived by two sons, Richard, Lemmon, and Ervin, Seeley Lake, Mont.; two daughters, Esther Brighton, Belfair, Wash., and Rosemary Kane, Lemmon; 16 grandchildren, 42 great-grandchildren and 15 great-great-grandchildren. (Evanson-Jensen Funeral Home, Lemmon)

JoAnn Yocum, 69, Bemidji, Minn., formerly of Bismarck, died Jan. 26, 2000, in a Bemidji care center. Services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at United Methodist Church, Bemidji, with burial in Greenwood Cemetery, Bemidji.

Edwin G. Becker
NEW SALEM -- Edwin G. Becker, 80, New Salem, died Jan. 25, 2000 in the New Salem care center. Services will be held at 10 a.m. MST Monday, at Peace Church in New Salem, with the Rev. Burnie Kunz officiating. Burial will be in North Dakota Veterans Cemetery, south of Mandan. Visitation will be 1-2 p.m. MST Sunday at Elm Crest Nursing Home, and after 3 p.m. MST at the Buehler-Larson Funerla Home, New Salem. Visitation will continue for one hour prior to the service at the church. Edwin was born on March 19, 1919 in Youngtown, the son of George and Selma (Gappert) Becker. He married Elvera A. Toepke on Oct. 25, 1941 in Judson. He served with the U.S. Army in Germany from 1941 to 1945. He and Elvera farmed east of Judson for many years, until they moved to New Salem in 1979. A member of the American Legion, he enjoyed playing cards, fishing, gardening and just visiting. Edwin is survived by his wife, Elvera; his daughter and son-in-law, Marlene K. and Harry Bitterman, Seattle, Wash.; his son and daughter-in-law, Rodney D. and Rhoe Ann, Tacoma, Wash.; six grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren; and one brother and sister-in-law, Willard and Bettie, West Orange, Texas. Eva Marie Hoffman
Eva Marie Hoffman, 92, Mandan, died Jan. 27, 2000 in a Mandan care center. Services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, at Christ the King Catholic Church, Mandan, with the Rev. John Kuhn officiating. Burial will be in Mandan Union Cemetery. Visitation will be after 2 p.m. Sunday at Buehler-Larson Funeral Home, Mandan, where a Catholic Daughters Rosary will be said at 4 p.m. and a parish vigil held at 7:30 p.m. Eva Marie Reisenauer was born on Oct. 25, 1907 at Crown Butte, the daughter of John and Marianna (Matz) Reisenauer. She was raised and educated in the area, she married Paul G. Hoffman on Feb. 25, 1930 in Mandan. A Mandan resident for all of her adult life, she had been a resident of the Medcenter One Care Center for 23 years. Eva is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Elaine and Donald Goertel, Easton, Penn.; six grandchildren, Thomas Goertel, Margaret Nagel, and William, James, Abby and Melissa Goertel; and 10 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Paul, who died on Nov. 25, 1976; two sisters, Monica Martz and Anne Seeley; and four brothers, William, Matt, Wendel and Fred Reisenauer.
