Theresia Sundsbak
UNDERWOOD -- Theresia Sundsbak, 47, Underwood, died Feb. 12, 2001, in a Bismarck care center after a long struggle with cancer. A memorial service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at St. Bonaventure's Catholic Church, Underwood, with the Rev. Ed Korte officiating. Inurnment will be held in the spring near Kintyre. A rosary service will be held at 9:45 a.m. Thursday at the church. Theresia Wangler was born May 31, 1953, in Bismarck, the daughter of John W. and Theresia (Glatt) Wangler. She graduated from Napoleon High School in 1971. She then attended Minot Business College and graduated in 1972. Theresia married Larry (Joe) Sundsbak on Nov. 25, 1972, at Kintyre. They moved to Underwood in 1978 and she worked for McLean County Farm Bureau from 1989 to 2000. Theresia was a member of St. Bonaventure's Catholic Church of Underwood. She cherished spending time with her family. Theresia will be deeply missed by her family and friends. She is survived by her husband, Joe; two sons and one daughter-in-law, Travis and Susan, and Chad, all of Bismarck; one granddaughter, Kennedy; one brother and sister-in-law, Larry and Diane Wangler, Fargo; and one sister and brother-in-law, Lucy and Ken Berreth, Bismarck. She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Felix and Adam; and one sister, Maggie. (Goetz Funeral Home, Underwood)

CARRINGTON -- Hazel Beckman, 100, Carrington, died Jan. 31, 2001, in a Carrington care center. Services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday at Immanuel Lutheran Church, Jamestown, with burial in James Valley Cemetery, Ypsilanti. Mary Fisher
Mary Fisher, 74, Mandan, died Jan. 31, 2001, in a Bismarck hospital. Services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at Mandan United Methodist Church, 610 12th St. N.W., Mandan, with the Rev. Mark Phillips officiating. Burial will be in Mandan Union Cemetery. Visitation will be from 9 a.m.-9 p.m. Friday at Buehler-Larson Funeral Home, Mandan, where a prayer service will begin at 7 p.m. Friday. Visitation will continue from 9-10:30 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home. There will be no visitation at the church. Mary was born Jan. 20, 1927, at McClusky, the daughter of John and Christine (Hausauer) Boehm. She moved to Bismarck as a teen-ager and worked as a waitress at the Prince Hotel. She later was employed as a banquet waitress at the Apple Creek and Municipal Country Clubs. A lady who loved to dance, be it waltz, two step or polka, Mary met her husband-to-be at a dance. She and James Fisher were married on Aug. 3, 1979, in Mandan. They spent many happy hours together on the dance floor dancing the polka and were often contest winners. She also enjoyed trips to the casino and hand held games of chance. A vital and energetic person until her recent illness, Mary is survived by her husband, Jim; her daughters and sons-in-law, LaVonne and John Bellinger, Everett, Wash., Sheila Spitzer, and Deb and Mike Hunt, all of Bismarck; six grandchildren, Michelle Steidler, Wade Balzer, Tracy Balzer, Stephen Balzer, Aimee Hunt and Christy Johnson; four great-grandchildren; two sisters and one brother-in-law, Katie Hack, and Edna and John Morrell, all of Mandan; her half-brother, Sam Koloen, Coeur d'Alene, Idaho; and her half-sister, Elaine Kovar, Santa Barbara, Calif. She was preceded in death by her parents; her brother, John Boehm; and her former husband, Fredrick Spitzer.

Robert J. Rolshoven
Robert J. Rolshoven, 37, Apple Valley, Minn., formerly of Mandan, died Jan. 22, 2001, in Florida. Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Mandan, with the Rev. Patrick Schumacher officiating. Burial will be in Mandan Union Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. today at Weigel Funeral Home, Mandan, where a parish vigil will begin at 7 tonight. Robert was born Nov. 22, 1963, in Mandan, the son of Raymond P. and Bernice (Mastel) Rolshoven. He was raised and educated in Mandan, graduating from Mandan High School in 1982. He continued his education at NDSU, receiving a degree in business administration in 1991. Robert was currently working as a salesman for Roadway Trucking, Minneapolis. Robert was a member of the Elks Club in Wadena, Minn. He is survived by his parents; two brothers and one sister-in-law and their families, Ross and his daughter Ashley and Ross's special friend Kayle Thompson and her daughter Jensen, and Reid and Doreen and their children Lindsay, Michael and Koryn, all of Grand Forks; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Rachelle and Arthur Thomson and their son Shaun, West Hills, Calif., and Rae Ann and Jim Vandrovec and their children Terry and Kevin, Jamestown; his uncles and aunts, Bernice and Gene Doll, Mandan, Shirley and William Rolshoven, Missoula, Mont., Marianne Wenzel, and Julie and Eugene Mastel, all of Bismarck, Shirley and Robert Mastel, Yakima, Wash., and Michelle and James Mastel, Grass Valley, Calif.; and many cousins. He was preceded in death by his grandparents.
