FARGO -- Elizabeth Michelson, 75, Fargo, died April 7, 2001, in a Fargo hospital. Services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Hope Lutheran Church, South Campus, Fargo. Burial will be in Memorial Gardens Cemetery, Valley City.
She is survived by six children, Candace Anderson, Shawnee, Kan., Steven Michelson, Denise Ferrell, Owen Michelson and Dawn Michelson, all of Fargo, and Lynn Shenk, DeSoto, Kan.; five grandchildren; and one brother, Lloyd, Fargo. (Boulger Funeral Home, Fargo)

NEW ROCKFORD -- Orty C. Narveson, 88, New Rockford, formerly of Oberon, died April 5, 2001, in a New Rockford care center. Services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Grandfield Lutheran Church, rural Sheyenne. Burial will be held at a later date in Antelope Valley Lutheran Cemetery, rural Oberon.
He is survived by two daughters, Janice Hager, Oberon, and Darlene Schell, Eustis, Fla.; seven grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and one brother, Lawrence, New Rockford. (Nelson Funeral Home, New Rockford)
Daniel Pavlicek
Daniel Pavlicek, 30, Bismarck, died April 3, 2001, in a Jacksonville, Fla., hospital after a lengthy illness. Services will be held at 10 a.m. Monday at Church of the Ascension, Bismarck, with the Rev. Marvin Klemmer officiating. Graveside services will be held at 1:30 p.m. MDT in St. Wenceslaus Cemetery, Dickinson.
Visitation will be held from 3 to 8 p.m. today at Bismarck Funeral Home, where a prayer service and rosary will be held at 5 p.m. Visitation will continue for one hour prior to services at the church.
A special visitation will be held from 10 a.m. to noon today at Standing Rock Community School, Fort Yates.
Daniel was born
Jan. 23, 1971, in Dickinson, to Donald and Geraldine (McLaughlin) Pavlicek. He graduated from Dickinson High School in 1989 and received his bachelors degree in social sciences from Dickinson State University in 1994. Daniel married
Jacinta Filipi May 28, 1994, in Dickinson.
Daniel started teaching at Standing Rock Community School in 1995, where he was currently teaching. He was awarded "Outstanding High School Teacher of the Year" for Standing Rock Community School in 1998-1999.
Daniel coached girls basketball, was a student council advisor, class advisor and a member of the school improvement process committee. He was also a member of Lewis and Clark Curriculum Development Committee for the state of North Dakota. Dan was nominated by his students and most recently won the Golden Apple Award.
Daniel loved hunting, fishing, gardening and woodworking. He especially loved spending time with his daughters.
He is survived by his wife, Jacinta; his daughters, Elizabeth and Ava; his mother, Geraldine Pavlicek, Dickinson; his brothers, Greg, Iowa, Mike, Minnesota, and Jim, Dickinson; and his grandmother, Alvina McLaughlin, Beulah.
He was preceded in death by his father, Don; and his grandparents, Bea and Ed Pavlicek and Joe McLaughlin.

DICKINSON -- Laudie Pribyl, 74, Dickinson, died April 5, 2001, in a Dickinson care center. Services will be held at 10 a.m. MDT Monday at Queen of Peace Catholic Church, Dickinson. Burial will be held at 3 p.m. CDT Monday in Sunset Memorial Gardens, Bismarck.

She is survived by three daughters, Sylvia Kramer, Minneapolis, Minn., Mable Singer, Glyndon, Minn., and Kathleen Fandrich, Beulah; four sons, Fred Jr., Velva, and Vernon, Wayne and Jerome, all of Beulah; 27 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and one sister, Frieda Becker, Beulah. Marie Buck
Marie "Liz" Buck, age 72, Glendive, Mont., passed away April 7, 2001, at her home surrounded by her family. Services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Our Savior Lutheran Church, Glendive, Mont., with the Revs. James Hageman and Howard Schreibeis officiating. Burial will be in Dawson County Cemetery, Mont.
A memory service will be held at 7 p.m. today at Silvernale-Silha Funeral Home Chapel, Glendive.
Marie was born
Aug. 31, 1928, in Wibaux, Mont., the daughter of John P. and Della (Lorbiecke) Kunda. She was raised and educated at St. Phillip's near Wibaux and graduated from Wibaux High School in 1946. She worked at the Northern Pacific Hospital in Glendive until she was united in marriage to Johnny Buck June 21, 1947, in Glendive. They started farming in the spring of 1948 on the Buck family farm near Bloomfield, Mont. They moved to Glendive in 1966. Marie worked at the Glendive Community Hospital Nursing Home for ten years. They then moved to their present residence in Stipek in 1977, where Marie became the "First Lady of Stipek."
Marie enjoyed gardening, cross stitching, quilting and embroidering and was a wonderful cook.
Marie was confirmed at Our Redeemer Lutheran Church in Bloomfield and was an active member of Our Savior Lutheran Church in Glendive and of Faith LWML. She also belonged to the Ladies Auxiliary of VFW Post No. 7887, Richey, Mont.
She is survived by her husband, Johnny; two sons, Johnny "Crow" Buck, Great Falls, Mont., and Gerald "Poke" Buck and his wife Wendy, Bismarck; four daughters, Bonnie "Bim" Hayes and her husband Larry, Lyman, S.C., Mary "Lou" Buck, Helena, Mont., Peggy "Peg" Haase and her husband John, Glendive, Mont., and Betty "Betz" Thornton and her husband Lloyd, Bismarck; four brothers, Joe Kunda and his wife Margaret, Bozeman, Mont., Larry Kunda and Charles Kunda and his wife Diane, all of Wibaux, Mont., and Dominic Kunda and his wife Mary, Laurel, Mont.; four sisters, Theresa Kuntz and her husband Sam, Hardin, Mont., Frances Elmer and her husband Ben, Plano, Texas, Delores Steiner and her husband Martin, Miles City, Montana, and Pauline Kenneway and her husband Earl, Spencer, Mass.; 12 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
The family prefers memorials to Our Savior Lutheran Church Child Care Ministry or Martin Luther Elementary School, Bismarck.

Helen Erhart
GARRISON -- Helen Erhart, 71, Garrison, died April 6, 2001, in a Bismarck hospital. Services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday at St. Nicholas Catholic Church, Garrison, with the Rev. Hugo Blotsky officiating. Burial will be held at 3 p.m. in North Dakota Veterans Cemetery, Mandan.
Visitation will be held from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. today at Thompson Funeral Home, Garrison and will continue for one hour prior to services at the church. A rosary and vigil will be held at 7 p.m. today at the church.
Helen was born
Dec. 3, 1929, the daughter of Frank and Ann (Lange) Schafer, in rural Glen Ullin, where she was raised and educated. On July 22, 1947, she married
Martin J. Erhart in Glen Ullin. They lived in Glendive, Mont., Riverdale and finally Garrison.
Helen had a love for children and over the years she babysat and cared for many in the Glendive, Riverdale and Garrison communities.
Helen's hobbies included collecting knicknacks and angels, playing card and baking for family and friends. She will be missed by all.
She is survived by her husband, Martin; four sons and daughters-in-law, Jerry and Shirley and Pat and Peggy, all of Glendive, Mont., Mike and Mary, Rapid City, S.D., and Terry and Jelly, Fort McMurray, Alberta, Canada; 13 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; four brothers, Pete, Clem, Frank and John; and two sisters, Martina Bleth and Josephine Bailey.
She was preceded in death by one daughter, Patricia Ann; two great-grandsons; her parents; one brother, Paul; and one sister, Clara Plunkett.
The family prefers memorials to St. Nicholas Catholic Church intended for a set of red vestments.
