Anthony Ehrmantrout
ELGIN -- Anthony "Tony" Ehrmantrout, 74, Elgin, died April 5, 2001, at his home. Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. MDT Tuesday at Assembly of God Church, Elgin, with the Rev. John Osborne officiating. Burial with military honors will be in the church cemetery.
Visitation will be held from 1 to 8 p.m. Monday and from 8 to 10 a.m. Tuesday at Evanson-Jensen Funeral Home, Elgin. The casket will not be open at the church.
Anthony J. Ehrmantrout was born
Dec. 23, 1926, in the St. Joseph community south of Glen Ullin, Grant County, one of 11 children born
to Anton J. and Eleanor (Steckler) Ehrmantrout. He was raised on a farm there and received his education in the Glen Ullin area. He began farming and ranching with his parents at an early age.
On Jan. 23, 1946, Tony was inducted into the U.S. Army, served until Dec. 21 of that year, and was stationed at Fort Lee, Va. On March 23, 1946, he and Jean Wohlman, his sweetheart from back home, were united in marriage in Richmond, Va. They returned to begin ranching and farming north of Elgin near the Heart River and raised their daughter, Dolores Kay, there.
Tony loved the rural life, especially working with his cattle and loved the land and all it meant to him and his family. He cared deeply for his grandchildren and family. Tony served on the Grant County Weed Board and the Heart River Irrigation District. He was an avid fisherman and hunter and was preparing to go fishing when he passed away suddenly the afternoon of April 5 at his home.
Tony was an active member of Assembly of God Church and served many years on the church board.
Grateful for sharing his love and life were his wife, Jean, who passed away Feb. 8, 2001; his daughter, Dolores K. Meyer, who passed away Jan. 6, 1999; his grandchildren, Chet and Debby Meyer, Tulsa, Okla., Carlos Meyer, Mandan, Lynnie Meyer, Bismarck, and Marty Meyer, Elgin; his son-in-law, Gary Meyer, Elgin; his great-grandchildren, Trey, Cheyenne and Kaylee Meyer; his brothers, John (Darlene) Erhmantrout and Ben (Pollie) Erhmantrout, both of Bismarck, and Dominic (Helen) Erhmantrout, Minneapolis, Minn.; and his sisters, Marge (Henry) Thomas and Lee (Arnie) Calheim, Bismarck, Betty (Jon) Anderson, Huff, and Eleanor "Ellie" Powers, Mesa, Ariz.
He was also preceded in death by his parents; and three brothers, Alex in infancy, Jacob in his youth and Edward.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials to Assembly of God Missions or Immanuel Christian School.
Orlin Enget
POWERS LAKE -- Orlin M. Enget, 61, Powers Lake, died April 5, 2001, at his home. Services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday at Bethel Baptist Church, Powers Lake. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
Orlin Enget was born
Dec. 23, 1939, in Powers Lake, to Oscar and Lillie Enget. He was raised and educated in Powers Lake and attended school there. He graduated from Powers Lake High School in 1958. He then attended Minot State College and received an education degree in 1962. He later received his masters degree in education from UND. He had taught for a number of years in Williston.
Orlin began farming full-time in Powers Lake and continued farming until the time of his death.
Orlin was an active member of Bethel Baptist Church and had served as a church trustee, Sunday school teacher and Men's Brotherhood president.
Orlin was very active as a delegate to the North Dakota Wheat Commission. He had received the NDSU Conservation Award and was very interested in innovative farming methods. He also served as a board member for the Powers Lake elevator.
Orlin was an active member of the State Democratic Party and had served as a delegate to the Democratic State Convention.
He is survived by his mother, Lillie Enget, Stanley; two brothers and sister-in-law, Owen and Linda, Powers Lake, and Jerome and Trisha, Hazen; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. (Springen Funeral Home, Stanley)
Helen Erhart
GARRISON -- Helen Erhart, 71, Garrison, died April 6, 2001, in a Bismarck hospital. Services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday at St. Nicholas Catholic Church, Garrison. Further arrangements are pending with Thompson Funeral Home, Garrison.
Norbert Huber
ZEELAND -- Norbert Huber, 82, Zeeland, died April 7, 2001, in a Fargo hospital. Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Venturia Baptist Church, Venturia. Further arrangements are pending with Myers Funeral Home, Linton.
Howard Keson
HARVEY -- Howard Keson, 81, Harvey, died April 7, 2001, at his home. Arrangements are pending with Hertz Funeral Home, Harvey.
Ingvald Kittilson
KILLDEER -- Ingvald Kittilson, 86, Killdeer, died April 5, 2001, at his home. Services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday at Price-Murphy Funeral Home, Dickinson. Burial will be in Dunn Center Cemetery, Dunn Center.
He is survived by his wife, Agnes; seven children, Donna Majer, Scranton, Gary Kittilson Sr., Colville, Wash., Peggy Drews, Appleton, Wis., Ritchie Kittilson, Jimmy Kittilson and Bonnie Swartz, all of Spokane, Wash., and Larry Kittilson, Killdeer; 19 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and one sister, Edna Knudson, Renton, Wash.
Dr. Robert Koch
WILLISTON -- Dr. Robert Koch, 68, Williston, died April 5, 2001, in the Williston medical center. Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at St. Joseph's Catholic Church, Williston. Further arrangements are pending with Everson Funeral Home, Williston.
Patricia Lange
CARRINGTON -- Patricia A. Lange, 63, Carrington, died April 6, 2001, in a Carrington health center. Services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Trinity Lutheran Church, Carrington. Burial will be held at a later date.
She is survived by her husband, Gustav; one son, Scott, Warrenville, Ill.; three daughters, Jacqueline Higgins, Warrenville, Ill., and Terri Lange and Sharon Hoff, both of Carrington; nine grandchildren; her stepmother, Margaret Irmen, New Rockford; six brothers, Tony Irmen, Anna, Texas, Bob Irmen, Dublin, Calif., Don Irmen, Grand Forks, Greg Irmen, Moorhead, Minn., David Irmen, New Rockford, and Steve Irmen, Galt, Calif.; three sisters, Kathy Hewitt, Christine, Margaret Wittman, Cavalier, and Karen Seckerson, Bismarck. Ann Martinson
CANNON BALL -- Ann Martinson, 74, Cannon Ball, died April 6, 2001, in a Bismarck hospital. Services will be held at 1 p.m. Monday at American Lutheran Church, Mandan, with the Rev. Norm Beighley officiating. Burial will be in North Dakota Veterans Cemetery, Mandan.
Visitation will be from 1 to 9 p.m. today at Eastgate Funeral Service, Bismarck, and for one hour prior to services at the church.
Ann was born
May 7, 1926, in Loire, France, the daughter of Harry and Anastasia Leach. She grew up in British Columbia and came to the United States in 1950. On July 25, 1952, she married
Lloyd Martinson in Killdeer. They lived in Cannon Ball and she operated the Burger Queen in Fort Yates.
Ann enjoyed cooking and flower gardening. She was a member of the VFW.
She is survived by three sons, James and Robert and his special friend Alma Ramey, all of Cannon Ball, and Larry Tommerdahl, Minnesota; one daughter, Cathy Gullickson and her special friend Mitch Wick, Mandan; five grandchildren, Jason Martinson, Thereasa Newman, Shannon Gullickson, Jesse Jacobson and Albert Martinson; three brothers; and five sisters.
She was preceded in death by her husband Lloyd, who died April 26, 1999; one grandson, Ryan Martinson; her parents; and two brothers.
Mary Maslowski
WILTON -- Mary Maslowski, 75, Wilton, died April 6, 2001, in a Bismarck hospital. Services will be held at 10 a.m. Monday at Saints Peter and Paul Ukrainian Catholic Church, Wilton, with the Rev. George Pruys officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
Visitation will be held from 3 to 8 p.m. today at Bismarck Funeral Home, where a paraclisis (wake service) will be held at 7 p.m. Visitation will continue for one hour prior to services at the church.
Mary was born
Jan. 6, 1926, on a farm near Sand Creek, Mont., the daughter of Andrew and Geneva (Zagurski) Dribnenki. Mary attended grade school at a rural country school not far from the farm. She went to Circle High School in Circle, Mont. After receiving a teaching certificate from college in Havre, Mont., she taught at the Rose Valley country school near Sand Creek for two years.

Carl Maslowski at St. Demetrius Ukrainian Catholic Church, Ukrainia. Five sons and two daughters were born
to this union: Larry, David, Mike, Mark, Jon, Marcia and Carol. The family lived in Dickinson, Melstone, Mont., Wilton and Casselton before returning to Wilton in 1958 where they resided until her death.
Mary was devoted to her faith and her family. She was a long-time member of the Saints Peter and Paul Ladies Aid Society, Catholic Daughters and American Legion Auxiliary. After her children had grown, she served many years as the instructor for children's religious classes at Saints Peter and Paul. She loved to read religious books. She was happiest when she could have all her family around her during the holidays to share in the traditional Ukrainian customs.
She is survived by her husband, Carl; five sons and four daughters-in-law, Larry and Linda, Mike and Judy and Mark and Gwen, all of Bismarck, David and Carla, Rock Springs, Wyo., and Jon, Wilton; two daughters and one son-in-law, Marcia Shepherd, Wilton, and Carol and Tery Johnson, Omaha, Neb.; 19 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; three brothers and one sister-in-law, William Dribnenki, Spokane, Wash., Eugene and Louise Dribnenki, Big Timber, Mont., and Neil Dribnenki, Wilton; two sisters, Pauline Nagel, San Jacinto, Calif., and Carolyn Peltier, Mesa, Ariz.; one brother-in-law, Wayne Pitman, Idaho Falls, Idaho; and 13 nieces and 6 nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Joseph and Peter; six sisters, Olga, Margaret, Josephine, Veronica, Dorothy and Justine; three brothers-in-law, Robert Brown, Albert Hruby and Henry Nagel; one son-in-law, Martin Shepherd; and one niece, Loreli Brown.
Pius Mastel
Pius Mastel, 77, Bismarck, died April 4, 2001, at his home. Graveside services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday in North Dakota Veterans Cemetery, Mandan. Further arrangements are pending with Bismarck Funeral Home.
Gladys McCollam
Gladys V. McCollam, 88, Bismarck, died April 6, 2001, in a Bismarck care center. Services will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Buehler-Larson Funeral Home, Mandan, with the Rev. Charles Axness officiating. Burial will be held at 12:30 p.m. in Heart River Cemetery, southwest of Mandan.
Visitation will be held from 4 to 7 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
Gladys was born
Nov. 18, 1912, in Mandan, the daughter of Ernest and Mathilda (Peterson) Ellisen. She graduated from Mandan High School in 1930 and then attended Capital Commercial College in Bismarck. She worked at the State Department of Weights and Measures and then at Q&R Clinic from 1931 to 1939. Gladys then accepted a civil service appointment with the Veterans Administration Central Office in Washington, D.C.
In 1941 Gladys transferred to the U.S. Corps of Engineers District Office in Seattle, Wash. She also worked at the U.S. Naval Base, Ottumwa, Iowa, and from 1948 to 1951 at the France Air Force Base, Panama Canal Zone.
Gladys returned to the U.S. in 1951 and was employed by the Veterans Administration in San Diego. In 1955, she returned to North Dakota where she was employed at the Department of Human Services until her retirement in 1977.
Gladys loved flowers and gardening.
She is survived by her nieces, Louane Heart, Petersburg, Va., Annette Gohl and Siri Eisenmann, both of Mandan, Crystal Zander and Kathi Risch, both of Bismarck, Annabelle Lang, Bremerton, Wash., Sheila Kirschke, Oxnard, Calif., Joy Dowell, Westminster, Calif., and Judy Field, Marena Valley, Calif.; her nephews, Howard Christiansen, Bremerton, Wash., Dennis Hoherz, Oklahoma, and Jerry Ellison, Los Alamitos, Calif.; and many great-nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her twin brother, Ernest; her other brothers, Alf, Kermit, Elias and Lloyd; and her sisters, Margit Ellisen, Orla Peterson, Alvilda Cotter, Erna Hendrickson and Margaret Hoherz.
