Ann Martinson
CANNON BALL -- Ann Martinson, 74, Cannon Ball, died April 6, 2001, in a Bismarck hospital. Services will be held at 1 p.m. Monday at American Lutheran Church, Mandan, with the Rev. Norm Beighley officiating. Burial will be in North Dakota Veterans Cemetery, Mandan.
Visitation will be held from 1 to 9 p.m. Sunday at Eastgate Funeral Service, Bismarck, and for one hour prior to services at the church.
Ann was born
May 7, 1926, in Loire, France, the daughter of Harry and Anastasia Leach. She grew up in British Columbia and came to the United States in 1950. On July 25, 1952, she married
Lloyd Martinson in Killdeer. They lived in Cannon Ball and she operated the Burger Queen in Fort Yates.
Ann enjoyed cooking and flower gardening. She was a member of the VFW.
She is survived by two sons, James and Robert, both of Cannon Ball; one daughter, Cathy Gullickson and her special friend Mitch Wick, Mandan; five grandchildren, Jason Martinson, Thereasa Newman, Shannon Gullickson, Jesse Jacobson and Albert Martinson; three brothers; and five sisters.
She was preceded in death by her husband Lloyd, who died April 26, 1999; one grandson, Ryan Martinson; her parents; and two brothers.

Bjorn E. Nelson, 33, Buckiye, Ariz., died March 31, 2001, in Buckiye. Arrangements are pending with Ladbury Funeral Service, Dickinson.
Kathryn Netzer
Kathryn Netzer, 78, Mandan, died April 4, 2001, in a Mandan care center. Services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday at First Presbyterian Church, Mandan, with the Rev. Stephen D. Eastin officiating. Burial will be in Mandan Union Cemetery.
Visitation will be held from 3 to 9 p.m. Sunday at Buehler-Larson Funeral Home, Mandan, where a prayer service will be held at 7 p.m. Visitation will continue for one hour prior to services at the church.
Kathryn was born
Sept. 29, 1922, in Timmer, the daughter of John E. and Mary (Conlon) Murphy. She attended school in Breien. She married
Leo P. Friesz Sept. 16, 1941, in Dickinson. They moved to Mandan in 1951. Leo died Jan. 29, 1958.
Kathryn was a dedicated mother and grandmother. She held various jobs throughout her life. She was always willing to help people.
She is survived by two daughters and sons-in-law, Mary and Elden Theurer, Casselton, and Ruthie and Darby Fisher, St. Anthony; two sons and daughters-in-law, Joe and Renee Friesz and Thomas and Linda Friesz, all of Mandan; 19 grandchildren; 30 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Judy Hubbard and Nellie Bloom, both of Lompoc, Calif.; and one brother, Daniel Murphy, Florida.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Leo P. Friesz; one daughter, Frances Lundstrom; her parents; three brothers; and two sisters.
Daniel Pavlicek
Daniel Pavlicek, 30, Bismarck, died April 3, 2001, in a Jacksonville, Fla., hospital after a lengthy illness. Services will be held at 10 a.m. Monday at Church of the Ascension, Bismarck. Further arrangements are pending with Bismarck Funeral Home.

Lillian Reiser
Lillian M. Reiser, 81, Bismarck, formerly of Washburn, died April 4, 2001, in a Bismarck care center. Services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday at First Lutheran Church, Washburn, with the Rev. Randy Emgarten officiating. Burial will be in Riverview Cemetery, Washburn.
Visitation will be held from 3 to 8 p.m. Monday and from 8 a.m. to noon Tuesday at Goetz Funeral Home, Washburn. Visitation will continue for one hour prior to services at the church.
Lillian Myrtle Larson was born
Nov. 20, 1919, in Washburn, to Peter and Petra (Mauseth) Larson. She grew up in Washburn, where she graduated from Washburn High School in 1937. She lived in Seattle, Wash., for two years, where she worked as a housekeeper. She married
Marvin L. Reiser Dec. 6, 1939, in San Diego, Calif., where they made their home.
In 1941 they returned to North Dakota and lived and farmed nine miles north of Washburn, farming with Lillian's parents. A few years later they purchased their own farm northeast of Washburn, where they raised cattle and grain. In 1959 they moved to Grand Forks and in 1966 they returned to Washburn. In 1968 they purchased the Our Own Hardware Store, which they owned and operated until 1984. Marvin died Oct. 10, 1995.
In September 1998, Lillian became a resident of Edgewood Vista in Bismarck. Last November, she moved to Medcenter One Care Center in Mandan, and three months later she became a resident of Missouri Slope Lutheran Care Center in Bismarck.
Lillian knew what it was to be a hardworking farmer's wife. She was also active in Homemakers Club and First Lutheran Church Women and was a Cub Scout leader. She enjoyed bowling, square dancing and embroidering.
She is survived by two daughters and sons-in-law, Margy Johnson and Carol and Martin Boganowski, all of Washburn, and Garen Emrick, DePere, Wisc.; one son and daughter-in-law, Peter and Cindi Reiser, Beulah; eight grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Marion Fix, Seattle, Wash., and Pearl Underdahl, Colorado Springs, Colo.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Marvin; one daughter, Lois Emrick; her parents; and two sisters, Ruth and Esther.
Daryl Roberson
Daryl G. Roberson, 51, Yakima, Wash., passed away April 4, 2001, in a Yakima medical center. Services will be held at 11 a.m. MDT Monday at St. Pius Catholic Church, Couer d'Alene, Idaho.
Visitation will be held Sunday at English Funeral Home, Couer d'Alene.
Daryl was born
Dec. 15, 1949, in Bismarck, to Norman and Margaret (Turnbow) Roberson. He was raised and educated in the Menoken area, graduating from Bismarck High School in 1967. Daryl worked for U.P.S. in Bismarck, Dickinson and Williston for a number of years, then moved to Billings, Mont., and then on to Couer d'Alene, Idaho, and the Yakima area, where he had been in hardware sales for the past 15 years. For the last two and a half years he was employed by Hillman Fasteners of Cincinnati, Ohio.
Daryl enjoyed playing golf, gardening, crossword puzzles and spending time with his granddaughter.
He is survived by his wife, Patty; his children, Tracy and Tanya Roberson, Couer d'Alene, and Darin and Jennifer Roberson and granddaughter Brynn Annmarie, Post Falls, Idaho; his mother, Margaret Mack, Bismarck; his stepfather, Duane Mack, Bismarck; and his brothers Dave and Cindi Roberson, Scottsdale, Ariz., Dan and Linda Roberson and Tom and Evie Roberson, all of Bismarck.
He was preceded in death by his father, Norman.
