OAKES -- Jeremey Adam Weide, 22, Oakes, died June 7, 2000 at his home. Services will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, at St. Charles Catholic Church, Oakes. He is survived by his parents, Mark and Diane, Mandan; a sister, Amber Weide, at home; his grandparents, Melvin and Beverly Weide, Aberdeen, S.D., and Rita Bassmus, Mitchell, S.D.; and his great-grandmother, Ina Weide, Watertown, S.D. Edward Boehm
MCCLUSKY -- Edward "Eddy" Boehm, 74, McClusky, died peacefully Feb. 27, 2001, at his home surrounded by his loving family, after a long illness. Services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday at St. John's Lutheran Church, McClusky. Burial will be in Holy Cross Catholic Cemetery, McClusky. Visitation will be held from 1 to 7:30 p.m. Friday at Hertz Funeral Home, McClusky. Eddy was born Aug. 29, 1926, on the family homestead northwest of McClusky, the son of John and Catherine (Schell) Boehm. He grew up there and was educated in a country school near their farm. Eddy was baptized the day he was born and was confirmed Sept. 15, 1953, at St. John's Lutheran Church, McClusky. He farmed with his dad while growing up. Eddy married Emma Gienger Oct. 4, 1953, in McClusky. They lived and farmed on the original Boehm family farm. He was active in farming until becoming ill last fall. Eddy was also a customer combiner, crop sprayer, Vermeer Baler dealer, mechanic and plumber. Eddy's and Emma's days were very busy raising their four boys. Eddy taught them the love for farming and also vital mechanical and plumbing skills. Eddy's hobbies included working in the shop, looking at old cars, learning about history, visiting friends and family and spending time with his grandchildren. Eddy and Emma enjoyed the past several winters in Arizona. He was a member and past Elder at St. John's Lutheran Church. He will be greatly missed. He is survived by his wife, Emma; four sons and daughters-in-law, Lee and Rhonda, Myron and Lisa, and Norman and Lynette, all of McClusky, and John and Lisa, Bismarck; six grandchildren, Levi, Eric, Shandel, Shastity, Trevor and Emily; one brother, Steve, McClusky; one sister, Mary Helm, McClusky; and one sister-in-law, Wilma Boehm, Livingston, Mont. He was preceded in death by one stillborn son, Leslie Scott; his parents; three brothers, Pete, Valentine and Mike; and one sister, Barbara Jesz.
Margaret Chaussee
Margaret Chaussee, 83, Bismarck, died Feb. 27, 2001, in a Bismarck nursing home surrounded by family. Services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at Corpus Christi Catholic Church, Bismarck, with the Ref. Steve Zastoupil officiating. Burial will be held in the spring in St. Mary's Cemetery, Bismarck. Visitation will be held from 5 to 9 p.m. today and from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Friday at Boelter Funeral Home, Bismarck. A prayer service will be held at 7 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. Visitation will continue for one hour prior to services at the church. Margaret Lucille Archbold was born Feb. 21, 1918, in Sheldon, to John and Margaret (Shea) Archbold. With her seven brothers and sisters, she attended Sheldon rural school. Following graduation, Marg attended Interstate Business College in Fargo and worked as a secretary. On June 10, 1939, Marg married Al Chaussee. Marg and Al moved to Bismarck in 1946. In 1953 they moved their family to a new home out in the country on Meadowlark Hill. The Chaussee home was "Grand Central Station" for many relatives and friends. Extra guests would often appear for breakfast and supper, and all were welcomed. Marg made time for her family, many close friendships, her bridge groups, church activities, managing the BJC Bookstore from 1967 to 1873, the gift shop at Dakota Zoo and later owning and operating the "Little Red House," a consignment craft shop. Marg touched many with her kindness, gentleness and generosity. She will be greatly missed, as will her melt-in-your-mouth sugar cookies. We are richer for having shared her life. She is survived by five sons and three daughters-in-law, Dan and Ginnie, Bill, and Jerry and Sue, all of Bismarck, Bob, Auburn, Wash., and Paul and Deb, Lawrence, Kan.; 11 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Lois Nelson, Bismarck, and Myrtle Adamek, Minneapolis, Minn. She was preceded in death by her husband, Al; three brothers; and two sisters. In lieu of flowers, the family prefers memorials to Dakota Zoological Society, St. Mary's Alumni Foundation or BSC Foundation.

Dorothy Hoeverman
Dorothy Hoeverman, 73, New Salem, died Feb. 27, 2001, in a New Salem care center. Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. MST Saturday at Peace Church, New Salem, with the Rev. Harley Holden officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Visitation will be held from 3 to 8 p.m. Friday at Buehler-Larson Funeral Home, New Salem, and will continue for one hour prior to services at the church. Dorothy was born Jan. 2, 1928, in New Salem, the daughter of John and Morna (Hohbein) Kramer. Her family lived northwest of New Salem where they farmed. She was baptized and confirmed at Peace Church in New Salem and attended school in the Caribou School District. In 1944 she married Paul Hoeverman and moved west of New Salem where they farmed. Paul died in 1979. Dorothy moved to New Salem and worked at various jobs, including the New Salem schools. She enjoyed working with young people, country western music and was a great cook. She is survived by one daughter, Rhonda Heid, New Salem; two granddaughters, Tracy and her husband, Mark Bahmiller, and Kelly Heid, all of Bismarck; one brother and sister-in-law, Chester and Marion Kramer, New Salem; and one sister and brother-in-law, Marlene and Robert Brandt, New Salem; and several nieces and nephews.

ANETA -- Helen Larsgaard, 94, Aneta, died Feb. 24, 2001, in an Aneta health center. A memorial service will be held at 3 p.m. today at Salem United Methodist Church, Hazen. Leo P. Leo P. Miller
Leo P. Miller, 68, Mandan, died Feb. 27, 2001, in a Bismarck hospital. A memorial service will be held at 10 a.m. Friday at Spirit of Life Catholic Church, Mandan, with the Rev. Cyprian Meier officiating. Burial will be in North Dakota Veterans Cemetery, Mandan. Visitation will be held from 6 to 7 p.m. today at Bismarck Funeral Home, where a vigil service will be held at 7 p.m. Leo was born Sept. 16, 1932, in St. Anthony, the son of Peter and Clara (Lauinger) Miller. He was raised and educated in Mandan. Leo served in the Army during the Korean War, where he received a national Defense Medal. Leo married Donna Ciavarella Jan. 19, 1959. Leo was instrumental and dedicated to the services of Mandan Care and Share Program for many years. Leo enjoyed hunting, camping and fishing with his sons and family. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends. He is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, Scott and Annette, and Mike and Carol, all of Mandan; his grandchildren, Jerry, Tim, Brent, Eric and Stephen Miller; one great-granddaughter, Olivia Faith; five brothers and two sisters-in-law, Melvin and Ann, Wayne, and Larry, all of Mandan, Donald and Judy, Bismarck, and Tony, Montana; and one sister and brother-in-law, Mary Jane and Tom Reid, Bismarck. He was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, Jerome; one sister, Delores; two nephews, Kurt and John; and one great-nephew, Jacob.
Lydia Peterson
Lydia "Alice" Peterson, 83, Wenatchee, Wash., formerly of Bismarck and Baldwin, died Feb. 25, 2001, in a Wenatchee care center. Services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at Bethel Lutheran Church, Bismarck, with the Rev. Tim Jenks officiating. Burial will be in the spring in Baldwin Cemetery, Baldwin. Visitation will be held from1 to 9 p.m. Friday at Boelter Funeral Home, Bismarck, and will continue for one hour prior to services at the church. Alice was born at her parents' home north of Baldwin Mar. 2, 1917, the daughter of Jacob and Risa (Opp) Spitzer, German immigrants from South Russia. She received her education in Burleigh County in a one-room schoolhouse. Alice married Oscar "Bud" Peterson in 1942 in Mandan. They made their home on a farm north of Baldwin, farming and raising poultry for Armour and Company until 1960 when they moved to Portland, Ore. They lived in that area until 1980 when Bud retired and they moved back to the Baldwin farm site. After his death in 1981, Alice moved to Bismarck, living there until she experienced poor health in 1993 and moved to Wenatchee, Wash., to be closer to her daughter. Alice was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Wenatchee, and always enjoyed growing flowers in her yard and doing ceramics for herself and as gifts for her family and friends. She had worked alongwide Bud while farming, during the years they grew broiler chickens for Armour and Company and in various businesses in the Portland area. She is survived by one daughter and son-in-law, Verla "June" and Don Van Osten, East Wenatchee, Wash.; one son and daughter-in-law, Myron and Rena, Vancouver, Wash.; two granddaughters and their husbands, Sheila McCann and Tony Semerad, Salt Lake City, Utah, and Trina and Steve Woolf, USAF stationed in Fairbanks, Ala.; two grandsons, Troy Peterson and Barent McCann, Vancouver, Wash.; two great-granddaughters, Ashlie and Nicole Peterson, Vancouver, Wash.; one great-grandson, Nicholas Semerad, Salt Lake City, Utah; two brothers-in-law, Walter Kirkey Jr., Bismarck, and Kenneth Kirkey, Washburn; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Bud; her parents; one brother, Reynard Spitzer, Wilton; two sisters, Bertha Franklund, Bismarck, and Emelie Niedermeier, Portland, Ore.; and three sisters and one brother in infancy.

NEW ROCKFORD -- Kenneth Roaldson, 86, New Rockford, died Feb. 27, 2001, in a New Rockford care center. Services will be held at 3 p.m. Friday at Evans Funeral Home, New Rockford. Burial will be in Kvernes Lutheran Cemetery, rural Carrington. He is survived by three sons, Quentin, Munford, Tenn., Gerald, Gackle, and Tony, Wimbledon; nine grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
Eunice Sampson
KILLDEER -- Eunice Sampson, 72, Killdeer, died Feb. 26, 2001, in a Killdeer care center. Services will be held at 2 p.m. MST Friday at St. John Lutheran Church, Killdeer, with the Rev. Aanen Gjovik officiating. Burial will be in the city cemetery. Visitation will be held from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. today at Stevenson-Mischel-Olson Chapel, Dickinson. Visitation will continue Friday from 8 to 10 a.m. at the chapel, noon to 12:30 p.m. at HIll Top Home of Comfort, Killdeer, and for one hour prior to services at the church. Eunice Paulson was born June 20, 1928, in Hazen, to Edwin and Alice Rose (Lindquist) Paulson. She grew up and attended school in Hazen. As a young woman, in 1943 she moved to Idaho with her family. Eunice married Charles Phillips in November 1946. They had two daughters, Myra and Lynette. In the spring of 1957, Eunice and her daughters moved to Killdeer. On Jan. 31, 1958, she married William Sampson at St. John Lutheran Church in Killdeer. They had three daughters, Twilla, Laureen and Sheralee. Eunice and William owned and operated Killdeer Laundromat and Sampson Excavating. She enjoyed cooking, baking, reading, embroidering, letter writing, visiting with friends, spending time with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren and being "Grandma-Great." She is survived by five daughters and four sons-in-law, Myra Phillips, Bismarck, Lynette and Kevin Pazdernik, Fort Collins, Colo., Twilla and John Jacobson, Polson, Mont., Laureen and John Keller, Killdeer, and Sheralee and Shane Dolezal, Dunn Center; 19 grandchildren; 31 great-grandchildren; three brothers and sisters-in-law, Darnell and Judy Singer, Lynden, Wash., Doyl and Sherri Singer, Vass, N.C., and DelRoy and Judy Singer, Spokane, Wash.; and two sisters and brothers-in-law, Avon "Pinky" and Donald Childs, Killdeer, Ina and Steve Hennessy, Vancouver, Wash. She was preceded in death by her huband, William; her parents; one sister, Nyla; and two brothers, Ortis and Douglas.

Eddy died peacefully at home surrounded by his loving family after a long illness. He will be greatly missed.
