DOUGLAS -- Steven Talbott, 51, Douglas, died June 29, 2000, in a Minot hospital of natural causes. Services will be held at 9:30 a.m. Wednesday at Vincent United Methodist Church, Minot, with burial at 3 p.m. Wednesday in North Dakota Veterans Cemetery, rural Mandan. He is survived by his wife, Pam; two sons, Steve Baker, Prince George, Va., and Rick Talbott, Hemet, Calif.; two daughters, Julie Roth, Bismarck, and Tammy Bowling, Minot; his parents, Gerald and Mildred Talbott, Minot; one brother, Lawrence, Douglas; one sister, Peggy Anderson, Minot; and three grandchildren. Casper Weiler
DICKINSON -- Casper Weiler, 79, Dickinson, died June 30, 2000, in the Dickinson hospital. Services will be held at 9 a.m. MDT Monday at St. Joseph's Catholic Church, Dickinson, with burial at 3 p.m. CST Monday in North Dakota Veterans Cemetery, rural Mandan. He is survived by one son, Neal, Hazen; one daughter, Shirley Muhs, Joliet, Mont.; three grandchildren; two brothers, Val, Dickinson, and George, Bowman; and two sisters, Magdalene Wandler and Sally Slater, both of Hettinger. Gertrude Katherine Ziemann
DICKINSON -- Services for Gertrude Katherine Ziemann, 80, Dickinson, will be held at 1 p.m., MDT Monday, at St Paul's Lutheran Church, Hazen, with the Rev. Steven Tangen officiating. Interment will be in St. Paul's Lutheran Cemetery, rural Hazen. Visitation will be held from noon-4 p.m. today at Price-Murphy Funeral Home, Dickinson, and will continue from 6-9 tonight at Siebel Funeral Home in Hazen. Visitation will continue on Monday at the church one hour prior to the service. Gertrude Ziemann died June 30, 2000, in a Dickinson care center. Gertrude Isaak was born January 27, 1920, to David and Rose (Guenther) Isaak, in rural Hazen on the family farm. Gertrude was the third child in a family of 11. She attended country school through grade eight. She married Eldor Theodore Ziemann on November 19, 1939, and they moved to a farm north of Hazen, near Knife River, along Highway 200. They remained on this farm until 1947, when they moved to the family farm north of Stanton, farming until 1976 and remaining on the farm until 1987. They lived in Hazen until 1992, then moved into Evergreen Retirement Inn in Dickinson, to be near family. Gertrude moved into St. Luke's Home in November of 1993 and resided there until the time of her death. She is survived by five sons, Dale and Bonnie, Dickinson, Jack, Bowman, Richard and Linda, Keller, Texas, Franklin and Sherry, Dickinson, and Wilbert and Janell, Washburn; eight grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; five sisters, Elsie Sailer, Garrison, Lorentina and Eldor Weisz, Hazen, Hildegard Wallender, Hazen, Selma Untersher, Bismarck, Jeanette and Ivan Zeller, Spokane, Wash.; three brothers, Walter and Hulda, Hazen, Elmer and Ann, The Dallas, Ore., Armond and Violet, Hazen, and one sister-in-law, Leona Isaak, Bowden. She was preceded in death by her husband, Eldor on March 11, 1998; her parents, David and Rose Isaak; her brother, Othmar, and her sister, Delores. Gertrude's loving and giving nature was shared by many. Her love of God was shown by the countless hours she spent teaching Sunday School (19 years), working with the ELCA Women of St. Paul's Lutheran Church, and the quilts that she helped make with the women of the church, plus the countless quilts she made for her children and grandchildren. Gertrude's legacy of her love of God and for her church, she passed on to her five sons who are all active in their respective churches. Memorials are preferred to: St. Luke's Home, Dickinson for an End of Life Suite.

NEW SALEM -- Ted Benishek, 79, New Salem, died July 29, 2000, in a Bismarck hospital. Arrangements are pending at Buehler-Larson Funeral Home, Mandan.

Hilda Dahlgren
Hilda Dahlgren, 89, formerly of Bismarck, died July 29, 2000, in the Strasburg care center. Arrangements are pending at Eastgate Funeral Service.

Brian Michael Finck
Brian Michael Finck, 26, Bismarck, died July 27, 2000, in an automobile accident in Vivian, S.D. Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at Charity Lutheran Church, Bismarck, with the Rev. Scott Bauman officiating. Burial will be in Birka Lutheran Cemetery, Washburn. Visitation will be from 2-9 p.m. Monday at Bismarck Funeral Home, and will continue at the church one hour before services. Brian was born Nov. 29, 1973, in Bismarck. He graduated from Century High School in 1992, and attended Bismarck State College. He worked at Bismarck, Mandan and Hettinger Country General Stores, from 1991-1995. He lived in Waco, Texas, from 1995-1997, and was employed with Romark. He then moved back to Bismarck and had been employed with Northbrook Amoco. Brian is survived by his mother, Marva Finck, and her fiance, Ray Simpfenderfer, Bismarck and Center; his father and stepmother, Gary and Sally Finck, Bismarck; his sister and brother-in-law, Tammy and Rob Johnson, Golden Valley, Minn.; his grandparents, Lawrence and Luella Finck, Bismarck; and several aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, William and Elvina Carlson.

Martha Giese
Martha Giese, 89, Bismarck, died July 29, 2000, in a Bismarck hospital. Arrangements are pending at Eastgate Funeral Service.

Gary Lerberg
PARSHALL -- Gary Lerberg, 75, Parshall, died July 24, 2000, in London, England. Services will be held at 3 p.m. Thursday at United Church of Christ, Parshall, with burial in Parshall Cemetery. He is survived by his wife, Patricia; three daughters, Cathy Rifenburg, Cynithia Billadeau and Ilene Hendrickson, all of Parshall; one son, Alan, Parshall; and nine grandchildren. Virgil L. Little
Virgil L. Little, 83, Minneapolis, died July 29, 2000, in a Minneapolis care center. Arrangements are pending at Bismarck Funeral Home.

Lenhart Neumiller
Lenhart Neumiller, 70, Richmond, Minn., died July 29, 2000, in his home. Arrangements are pending at Bismarck Funeral Home.

Peggy A. Schonert
Peggy A. Schonert, 52, Bismarck, died July 27, 2000, in a Bismarck hospital after a short illness with cancer. Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Monday at Faith Lutheran Church, Bismarck, with the Rev. Ty Stoneburner officiating. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery, Bismarck. Visitation will from 1 to 8 p.m. today at Bismarck Funeral Home, where a prayer service will begin at 7 tonight. Visitation will continue at the church one hour before services. Peggy was born Dec. 12, 1947, in Grant County, to William and Elsie (Weishaar) Bruhn. She graduated from Elgin High School in 1965. She worked for many years as a respiratory therapist at St. Alexius Medical Center in Bismarck. Peggy was united in marriage to Donald Schonert on Feb. 29, 1980. They lived on the family farm where Peggy enjoyed raising cattle, fishing, camping and gardening. Peggy also enjoyed watching her sone, Cody, shoot in competition, and was able to watch him shoot in the Junior Olympics in February 2000. Peggy is survived by her husband, Donald; one son, Cody; her father, William Bruhn, Elgin; and one sister and brother-in-law, Marcella and Thomas Hanson, Ada, Minn. She was preceded in death by her mother, Elsie Bruhn.

Ervin Unterseher
HAZEN -- Ervin Unterseher, 78, Hazen, died July 29, 2000, in a Bismarck hospital. Arrangements are pending at Seibel Funeral Home, Hazen.

Wayne White Body
MANDAREE -- Wayne White Body Jr., 41, Mandaree, died July 27, 2000, in a Minot hospital from injuries sustained in an automobile accident near Mandaree. Services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Red Butte Community Center, Mandaree. (Fulkerson Funeral Home, Mandaree)

Timothy Blair
CARRINGTON -- Timothy Blair, 43, Carrington, died July 25, 2000, in his home. A memorial service will begin at 7 p.m. Tuesday at Evans Funeral Home, Carrington. He is survived by his mother, Rachel, Ada, Minn.; his father, Rolland, Alamo, Texas; and eight brothers and sisters, William, Menominee, Mich., Keith, Manhatten, Kan., Barbara Keeney, Ada, Judy Burkett, West Fargo, Robert, Ada, Karen Anderson, Ada, Joseph, Winsten-Salem, N.C., and Shiloe Blair, Ada.
