Sheria L. Lunde
Funeral services for Sheria L. Lunde, 32, Killeen, Texas, formerly of Valley City, will be held at 1:00 p.m., Tuesday, June 1, 2004 at Epworth United Methodist Church, Valley City. Reverend Steve C. Johnson will officiate. Mrs. Lunde died Monday, April 26, 2004 in Killeen, Texas.
Sheria Lynn Northridge, daughter of John and Judy (Christ) Northridge was born on September 24, 1972 in Fargo. She attended school in Valley City, graduating in 1990. She worked for the Sheyenne Care Center and Pizza Hut, both in Valley City, before moving to Killeen, Texas in 1998. She was living there with her husband, Gary Ridley, who also died on April 26, 2004.
She is survived by three sons, Andrew Sherman, Lisbon, and Michael and Adam; her parents, John and Judy Northridge, Valley City; two sisters, Lori (Brian) Boland, Sweet Water, Texas, Melissa (Michael) Earl, Tenny, Minn.; one brother, Benjamin Northridge, San Diego, Calif.; aunt, Donna (Darrell) Bergh, Glendale, Ariz.; uncle, Terry (Elizabeth) Christ, Rogers, N.D.; and her grandmother, Bernice Christ, Valley City. She was preceded in death by two paternal grandfathers, her maternal grandfather and her paternal grandmother.
Interment at Woodbine Cemetery.

Selma Erickson
Funeral services for Selma Erickson, 98, Wahpeton, formerly of McLeod, were held on Tuesday, May 25, 2004 at Joseph Vertin & Sons Funeral Home, Wahpeton Chapel, Wahpeton. Pastor Wayne Wickoren officiated. Mrs. Erickson died Thursday, May 20, 2004 at St. Catherine's Living Center, Wahpeton.
Selma Anderson, daughter of Olaf and Bolette (Otterson) Anderson was born on January 13, 1906 at Kindred. She grew up and attended school in the Kindred area. She later moved to Sheyenne Township near McLeod.
On October 24, 1928, she married Andrew Erickson at McLeod. The couple lived on a farm near McLeod and later moved into McLeod. Selma cared for elderly people in her own home at that time. Andrew died June 18, 1975. Selma continued living at McLeod until April 1992, when she moved to St. Catherine's Living Center, Wahpeton.
She is survived by her sister, Doris (Clarence) Anderson, Wyndmere and one brother, Roy Anderson, Oakes. She was preceded in death by her husband Andrew Erickson, two sisters, Alice and Nellie and one brother, Clarence.
Interment at Freeman Cemetery, McLeod.

Michael Krchnavy
Memorial service for Micheal Krchnavy to be held June 5
A memorial service will be held for Micheal Krchnavy on Saturday, June 5 at 10:30 a.m. at the First United Methodist Church, Lisbon.
Mr. Krchnavy died on Monday, May 10, 2004 in Phoenix, Ariz. A full obituary appeared in the May 17, 2004 issue of the Gazette.
Lawrence A. Neumiller
Funeral services for Lawrence A. Neumiller, 77, Jamestown, were held on Friday, May 28, 2004 at the United Methodist Church, Jamestown. Reverend David Fisher and Pastor Dick Boyd officiated. Mr. Neumiller died Tuesday, May 25, 2004 at Hi-Acres Manor in Jamestown.
Lawrence Andrew Neumiller, son of John and Elizabeth (Christian) Neumiller was born on October 30, 1926 in Heaton, N.D. On December 14, 1944, he married Alice Brown in Fessenden, N.D. From 1947 to 1949 he was a farmer. In 1949 he moved to Bowden where he worked in a cafe for a short time. He also worked for the Burlington Northern Railroad in New Rockford, N.D. between 1956 and 1986. On May 22, 1982 he married Shirley Goray in Lisbon. In 1986 he retired from the railroad and resided in Jamestown. In 2002 he moved into Hi-Acres Manor. He was a member of the United Methodist Church, Jamestown. He also was a drummer and played for 31 years with the Dakota Rhythm Masters and 3 1/2 years with the Vic Carlson Band out of Aberdeen.
He is survived by three daughters, Diane (Gerald) Richenberger, Cathay, N.D., Kathy (Kenneth) Fjeldahl, Ryder, N.D., Joleen (Michael) Scott, Spiritwood, N.D.; two sons, Daryl (Jeanie) Neumiller, Jamestown, Randy Neumiller, Jamestown; one step-son, Timothy (Carolyn) Heldenbrand, Barnesville, Minn.; 14 grandchildren; four step-grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; six step-great grandchildren; three brothers, John (Ella Mea) Neumiller, Carrington, Clarence (Ellen) Portland, Ore., Jacob (Kay) Neumiller, Oak Habor, Wash.; six sisters, Lydia Morlock Moorhead, Bertha Huss, Carrington, Elsie Schaek, West Fargo, Frieda (Kenneth) Watson, Carrington, Iola (Daryl) Rask, Carrington and Alice Riedel, Parker’s Prairie, Minn. He was preceded in death by his parents, one daughter, Phyllis, three brothers and four sisters.

Robert J. Henrickson
Robert J. Henrickson, 67, Enderlin, died Tuesday, May 25, 2004 at Lisbon Area Health Services, Lisbon.
Robert J. Henrickson, son of John F. and Rosa (Stemmer) Henrickson was born on July 3, 1936 in Valley City. He attended Fergus Falls, Minn., grade school and graduated from Fargo South High School.
He married Lucy Eslinger. Robert worked at the Elks Club in Jamestown, Elks Club in Fargo and Mom’s Diner in Fargo.
He is survived by one brother, Andrew (Minnie) Smith, Fargo; and two sisters, Irene King, Napa, Calif., and Lillian Salverson, Napa, Calif.
Interment at St. Catherine’s Cemetery, Valley City.

Lloyd G. Chale
Funeral services for Lloyd G. Chale, 66, Fargo, were held on Wednesday, May 26, 2004 at the Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church, West Fargo. Reverend John Cavanaugh officiated. Mr. Chale died Sunday, May 23, 2004 at MeritCare’s Palliative Care Unit in Fargo.
Lloyd George Chale, son of George A. and Blanche (Lalonde) Chale was born on June 7, 1937 in Grafton. He grew up on a farm in Pembina County and graduated from Pembina High School in 1955. He served honorably in the U.S. Air Force from 1954 to 1960.
On August 17, 1956, he married Elizabeth Ann Reineke in Denver, Colo. He worked as a television engineer for 14 years for KCND-TV in Pembina and later at KTHI-TV in Grand Forks and Fargo where he served as chief engineer. They moved to West Fargo in 1971. He taught electronics at Moorhead Area Technical College for 18 years, retiring in 1992.
He is survived by his wife, Ann Chale; three daughters, Barbara (Mark) Anderson, Prior Lake, Minn., Christine Chale (Daniel Freedman) Red Hook, N.Y., Terri (Frank) Egan, Enderlin; one son, William Chale, West Fargo; two sisters, Barbara (Chuck) Miller, Everett, Wash. Diane (Lawrence) Irvin, West Fargo and several nieces and nephews.
Interment at Enderlin Cemetery, Enderlin.

Richard D. Koenecke
Funeral services for Richard D. Koenecke, 59, Bismarck, were held on Monday, May 24, 2004 at First United Methodist Church, Bismarck. Reverend Dennis Aleson officiated. Mr. Koenecke died Thursday, May 20, 2004.
Richard Dean Koenecke, son of Merrill and Cindy (Alinder) Koenecke was born on April 15, 1945 at Lisbon. He was raised and educated in Gwinner, where he graduated from high school in 1963. Richard attended North Dakota State University in Fargo and later worked for Ingersoll-Rand Bobcat in Gwinner. He entered the U.S. Army June 10, 1968, and served in Vietnam. He was discharged in 1970 and returned to work for Bobcat.
On April 9, 1983, he married Jo Ann Ray in Denver, Colo. During his time with Bobcat, Richard was a District Sales Manager where he traveled throughout the western United States. After 30 years of employment he retired in March of 1998.
He is survived by his wife, Jo Ann Koenecke; one son, Dean Koenecke, Bismarck and one niece, Kristi Ohnstad, Fargo. He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister Carolyn Cwiek.
Military honors will be provided by the VFW Post 1326, Bismarck.
Interment at N.D. Veterans Cemetery, rural Mandan.

Almont P. Strand
Funeral services for Almont P. Strand, 90, Colorado Springs, Colo., formerly Lisbon, were held on Wednesday, May 26, 2004 at Trinity Lutheran Church, Lisbon. Reverend Norman Anderson and Reverend David Killeen officiated. Mr. Strand died Wednesday, May 19, 2004 at Colorado Springs, Colo.
Almont Percival Strand, son of Albert and Jane (Olson) Strand was born on April 1, 1914 in rural Halliday, N.D. He attended Big Flat Consolidated School near Halliday. Later he attended Balzaar Business College and Northwestern College of Speech Arts in Minneapolis. In 1937 he moved with his family to Ransom County. They lived in Owego township. In 1939 they moved to a farm south of Lisbon.He was engaged in farming and raising registered hereford cattle.
On November 8, 1942, he married Mary Ann McMahon, in Enderlin. They farmed near Lisbon. After retiring from farming in 1982 they moved into Lisbon. She died April 10, 2001. After her death he moved to Colorado. He served as secretary/treasurer of Big Bend Telephone Company. He also served as a director for ten years for the Ransom County Crop and Livestock Association. He was a member of the National Hereford Association of Kansas City, Mo., the N.D. Hereford Association, and the Ransom County Hereford Association. He was a member of the Lisbon Eagles Club.
He is survived by four daughters, Sylvia Cole, Dickinson, Gaylene (Larry) Leonard, Colorado Springs, Colo., Sandee (Greg Cote) Strand, Colorado Springs, Lynn (Marty) Lazechko, Colorado Springs; one son, Allan Strand, Colorado Springs, 14 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; and one brother, Allan (Dorothy) Strand, Portland, Ore. He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Strand and four siblings, Lester, Evalyn, Amy and Gladys.
Pallbearers for the funeral were Jeff Kelsen, Tom McMahon, Mike McMahon, Pat McMahon, Kenny McMahon, and Rich McMahon.
Music was provided by organist Jan Hansen.
Interment at Oakwood Cemetery, Lisbon.
