Tim Rohr
Tim Rohr, 50, 1704 Fourth St. N.E., Mandan, died May 15, 2000, in a Bismarck hospital after a lengthy illness. Services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Friday at Spirit of Life Catholic Church, Mandan, with burial in North Dakota Veterans Cemetery, rural Mandan. Military rites will be by Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 707 and American Legion Post 40. Visitation will be from 9 a.m.-9 p.m. Thursday at Weigel Funeral Home, Mandan, where a parish vigil will begin at 7 p.m. Thursday. Visitation will continue at the church one hour before services. Tim Rohr was born to Richard and Violet (Wetch) Rohr on June 19, 1949, in Dickinson. He was raised and educated in the Gladstone and Dickinson areas. He graduated from Dickinson High School in 1968. He attended Dickinson State University and later received a bachelors degree in computer science and accounting from the University of Mary in 1996. He married Karen Berger on May 10, 1974, in Mandan. Tim was a member of National Guard. He was a scout master for Boy Scout Troop 54 as well as serving as a board member for Mandan Hockey Club. He was also a member of Spirit of Life Church and Mandan Eagles. Tim's employment included working for Cass Clay Creamery in Mandan for seven years, and later as a carpenter for Carpenter's Union Local 1091 for 12 years. Tim was a dedicated husband and father. He was strong-willed and strong spirited with a good sense of humor. His hobbies include genealogy, reading novels, attending his children's recitals and sports activities, especially hockey and soccer. Tim could be described as a cowboy at heart, loved watching the old John Wayne movies. His dream was to own a horse ranch. He is survived by his wife, Karen; his children, Jason and his fiance, Carmen Schmitz, Jessica and her friend, Kelcey Gietzen, and Josh Rohr, Mandan; his parents, Richard and Angie Rohr, Dickinson; three brothers and two sisters-in-law, Tom and Debbie, Longview, Texas, Kim and Carla, Sacramento, Calif., and Kevin, Bismarck; one sister, Pam Pavlicek, Dickinson; his father and mother-in-law, William and Beatrice Berger, Mandan; brothers and sisters-in-law, Jolene and Vern Miller, Duluth, Minn., Delwyn and Joy Berger, Mandan, Doug Berger and his fiance, Diana Royer, Duluth, Minn., and Darrold Berger, Glen Ullin, DeWayne and Sheri Berger, Superior, Wis., Donovan and Jacki Berger, Foxborro, Wis., Dale and Marcia Berger, Mandan, Michelle Berger and her friend Rocky Berger, Mandan, Dean and Christine Berger, Mandan, Melanie and Nathan Schlosser, Mandan, Darren Berger and Nicole Anhorn, Mandan, Nadine Berger, Mandan, DeeAnn Berger and her fiance, Jason Jahner, Mandan; and several nieces and nephews. Tim was preceded in death by his mother, Violet; one brother, Rick; an infant brother, Glen; a brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Durwin "Durby" and Connie Berger; and his grandparents.

Terry W. Wahl
Terry W. Wahl, 49, Bismarck, died May 15, 2000, in Michigan. A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Charity Lutheran Church, Bismarck. Further arrangements are pending at Eastgate Funeral Service, Bismarck.

Marcella M. Allmaras
NEW ROCKFORD -- Marcella M. Allmaras, 96, New Rockford, died May 16, 2000 in a Hastings, Minn., care center. Services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, at St. John's Catholic Church, New Rockford, with burial in the church cemetery. She is survived by three sons, Raymond, Roseville, Minn., Clemence, New Rockford, and Charles, Colorado Springs, Colo.; four daughters, Camilla Lex, Kalispell, Mont., Patricia Straley, Savage, Minn., Lorraine McManmon, Hastings, and Marcella Backes, New Richmond, Wis.; 27 grandchildren and 42 great-grandchildren; one brother, Edward Beauclair, Fargo; and one sister, Patricia Pederitsch, St. Paul, Minn. Pete Delzer
Pete Delzer, 80, Bismarck, died May 17, 2000 in a local hospital. Services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, at Boelter Funeral Home, Bismarck, with the Rev. Don Burnett officiating. Graveside services will be held at 1:30 p.m. at Napoleon City Cemetery. Public visitation will be held from 9 a.m.-9 p.m. today and for one hour prior to the services on Saturday, at Boelter Funeral Home. Pete was born on Jan. 20, 1920 in Logan County, the son of the late Christ and Sophia (Bitterman) Delzer. Pete was raised and educated nine miles east of Napoleon. He married Mary Zimmerman on Nov. 3, 1943 in Napoleon. They farmed southeast of Napoleon until 1950 when they moved to Napoleon. Pete was employed at the Napoleon Creamery, Wentz Chevrolet and Seiwart Implement until 1959 when they moved to Bismarck. He worked at the Peavey Elevator and then at United Auto Parts as assistant manager for 27 years. He is survived by his wife, Mary of 56 years living at the Missouri Slope Lutheran Care Center; and nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; three sisters and one brother. WILLISTON -- Einar Erlandsen, 77, Williston, died May 17, 2000 in the Williston hospital. Services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, at Our Redeemer's Lutheran Church, Williston. Further arrangements are pending with Everson Funeral Home, Williston.

Tony C. Faul
HARVEY -- Tony C. Faul, 85, Harvey, died May 17, 2000 in the Harvey nursing home. Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Monday, at Mennonite Brethren Church, Harvey, with burial in Sunnyside Cemetery, Harvey. He is survived by his wife, Rose; one son, Dennis, Harvey; two daughters, Mavis Thompson and Ardith Rauser, both of Harvey; six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren; his brothers, John C., Denver, Colo., Bennie, Golden Valley, Minn., and LeRoy, Harvey; and his sisters, Loretta Reiswig, Alyce Loewen, and Helen Fadenrecht, all of Hillsboro, Kan., LInda Liebelt, Sawyer, Carolyn Klein, Munich, and JoAnn Isaak, Greenville, S.C. William Dale Foust
BOWMAN -- William Dale Foust, 88, Bowman, and formerly of Ludlow, S.D., died May 17, 2000 in the Bowman care center. Services will be held at 10 a.m. MDT Saturday, at Bowman Lutheran Church, with burial in Nathanel Lutheran Cemetery, Ludlow. He is survived by his wife, Margaret; six sons, Bill, Ray and Charlie, all of Denver, Colo., Bob and Paul, both of Bowman, Ed, Williston, and Laurel, Ludlow; two daughters, Linda Grant, Denver, and Terry Tovar, Hillard, Ohio; one sister, Alice Anderson, Buffalo, S.D.; and four brothers, Pete and Calvin, both of Billings, Mont., Jack, Port Ludlow, Wash., and Wayne, Miles City, Mont.; 16 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Bessie M. Haugen
Bessie M. Haugen, 98, Lemmon, S.D., died May 17, 2000 in the Lemmon nursing home. Arrangements are pending with Evanson-Jensen Funeral Home, Lemmon.

Katherine Kuhn
Katherine Kuhn, 93, 1303 First St. N.W., Mandan, died May 15, 2000, in a Bismarck hospital. Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Christ the King Catholic Church, Mandan, with the Rev. Albert Leary officiating. Burial will be in Mandan Union Cemetery. Visitation begins today from 1 to 9 p.m. at Weigel Funeral Home, Mandan, with a parish rosary at 7 p.m. followed by the parish vigil at 7:30 p.m. Katherine Braun was born March 14, 1907, in Odessa, Russia. She was the daughter of John and Eva (Kopp) Braun. She came to America with her parents and was raised and educated in Mandan. On April 9, 1929, she married Frank Kuhn in Mandan. She worked at the Country Club and 16 years at the Mandan Elks. Katherine was a member of the St. Maria Verein, Christ the King Unit 10 Circle, Country Club Bridge Club, Powder Puff Bridge Club and Bunco Club. Katherine enjoyed crocheting, crafts and embroidery, which she shared with many family and friends. She is survived by her husband of 71 years, Frank; two sons and one daughter-in-law, Delbert, Mandan, and David (Helen), Ellensburg, Wash.; three daughters and sons-in-law, Cora (Joe) Razore and Rita (Bob) Doll, all of Bellingham, Wash., and Angie (Art) Ells, Walla Walla, Wash.; 18 grandchildren and 27 great-grandchildren; two brothers, Frank Braun, Olympia, Wash., and Leo Braun, Philadelphia; and two sisters, Gertrude Kuhn and Eva Emil, both of Mandan. Katherine was preceded in death by her parents; three brothers; and four sisters. In lieu of flowers, the family prefers memorials to the American Cancer Society.

Peter M. Bachmeier
Peter M. Bachmeier, 81, died May 19, 2000 in Spokane, Wash. He was born to Melchoir and Christine Bachmeier in Bismarck on May 1, 1919. He enjoyed woodworking, reading, watching westerns, his family, and all of his grandchildren. He was a member of the Lumber and Sawworkers Union No. 2767. Peter is survived by his wife of 42 years, Grace, Greenacres, Wash.; his sons, Alex, Pendleton, Ore., Tom, Westport, Wash., Gary Helseth, Tucson, Ariz., and Don Stevens, Irrigon, Ore.; his daughters, Karen Bachmeier, Spokane, Wash., Christine Schroder, Noxon, Mont., Sherelle Schroder and Katy Amburgy, both of Glenoma, Wash.; one brother, Leo, Strasburg; two sisters, Elizabeth Braun, Strasburg, and Regina Wagner, Bismarck; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his brothers, Tony and Martin Bachmeier. (Heritage Funeral Home, Spokane)

Elsie M. Hibl
DICKINSON -- Elsie M. Hibl, 67, Lewisville, Texas, and formerly of Dickinson, died May 20, 2000 at her home. Services will be held at 10 a.m. MDT Wednesday, at St. Wenceslaus Catholic Church, Dickinson. Further arrangements are pending with Ladbury Funeral Service, Dickinson.

Roberta Jean Hindemith
Roberta Jean Hindemith, 72, formerly of Bismarck, died Dec. 1, 1999 in Glendale, Ariz. A graveside service will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday, at Sunset Memorial Gardens, Bismarck.

Mae Hins
STEELE -- Mae Hins, 51, Steele, died May 20, 2000 in a Bismarck hospital. Services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, at St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church, Tappen, with the Rev. William Russow officiating. Burial will be in Fisher Cemetery, Tappen. Visitation will be from noon-6 p.m. Monday, at Eastgate Steele Chapel, and 7-9 p.m. Monday, at St. Johns Evangelical Lutheran Church with a prayer service at 7:30 p.m. Monday, at the church. Luella Mae Hins was born on May 20, 1949 in Jamestown, the daughter of Reuben and Luella (Kemmet) Hins. She was raised and educated in Tappen. She attended North Dakota State School of Science at Wahpeton and the University of North Dakota at Grand Forks. Following a car accident in 1972, Mae resided with her parents until 1996, when she entered the Golden Manor Nursing Home in Steele. Mae will always be remembered for her contagious smile and her cheerful greetings. She is survived by her parents, Luella and Reuben, Tappen; one sister and brother-in-law, Cindy and Roger Hasse, Tappen; four brothers and sisters-in-law, Cory and Connie Hins, Montgomery, Ala., Tim and Margaret Hins, Bemidji, Minn., Kirby and Rita Hins, Milbank, S.D., and Lance and Cheri Hins, Steele; her nieces and nephews, Lance, Travis and Calin Hins, Rebecca and Mark Berg, Karissa and Kent Stroh, Laura and Jennifer Hasse, Trevor, Mari and Michaela Hins, Andrea Gordon, Jordan and William Hins, Zane Osse, and Candice and Melissa Hins; and one great-nephew, Orin. She was preceded in death by her grandparents; one sister, Melinda; and one nephew, Ross Hasse. (Eastgate Funeral Service, Bismarck)

Frieda Itrich
NEW SALEM -- Frieda Itrich, 73, New Salem, died May 19, 2000 in the New Salem nursing home. Services will be held at 2 p.m. MDT Wednesday, at Peace Church, New Salem. Further arrangements are pending with Buehler-Larson Funeral Home, Mandan.

Alfred Pelns
GLEN ULLIN -- Alfred Pelns, 74, Glen Ullin, died May 18, 2000 in the Elgin hospital. Burial will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, at North Dakota Veterans' Cemetery, rural Mandan. Alfred was born July 26, 1925 in Riga, Latvia. He served in the Army during World War II and the Korean War. He was a farm laborer and had been a resident of Marian Manor for the past 11 years. He has no known survivors. (Buehler-Larson Funeral Home, Mandan)

Chester E. Perry
Chester E. Perry, 86, 1115 N. First Street, Bismarck, died May 19, 2000 in a Bismarck nursing home. Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, at First Presbyterian Church, Bismarck, with the Rev. Jake Kincaid officiating. Burial will be in North Dakota Veterans' Cemetery, Mandan. Visitation will be from 1-4 p.m. today, and 1-9 p.m. Monday, at Perry Funeral Home, Mandan, and for one hour prior to the service at the church. Chester was born Oct. 28, 1913 in Bismarck, to William and Katherine (Clark) Perry. He was raised in Bismarck and graduated from Bismarck High School in 1931. He graduated from North Dakota Agricultural College in Fargo in 1935 with a degree in Chemical Engineering. He was a member of Sigma Alpha Epsilon Fraternity, business manager of the Bison, and in the ROTC. During his high school and college days, he was a stock boy at Richmond Bootery. After graduation, he had a job in the shoe business, not much demand for a chemical engineer. He became a partner in Richmond Bootery Shoe Company and operated the Shoe Mart for 56 years, one month and 11 days. Chet took time off from the shoe business to serve in the US Army during WWII from Oct. 28, 1942 to July 11, 1946. He was a member of the North Dakota National Guard from June 3, 1935 to November 1, 1962, retiring as a LTC. Chester married Kathryn Alberta Kellam on Feb. 11, 1940 in Jamestown. Chet was very active in the Presbyterian Church. He taught Sunday school, junior high Presbyteens and sang in the choir. He was involved in Boy Scouts for 30 years and was Scoutmaster of Troop 6 from 1961 to 1973. He received the prestigious Silver Beaver Award in 1994. Civic affairs were also a passion of his; he was chairman and member of the Salvation Army Board, Lions Club and Folkfest Organizer, and an active promoter and member of the Chamber of Commerce. The "Wags" and birthday club were important parts of his life. These friendships lasted over 60 years. Erin and Roger, Matthew and Stephanie will long remember their grandpa for his camera and novice productions, his good humor and love for his fellow man. He is survived by his wife, Kathryn; one daughter and son-in-law, Susan K. and John Aggson, Fort Morgan, Colo.; one son and daughter-in-law, Stephen Patrick and Myria Perry, Bismarck; his grandchildren, Erin and Chris Hurley, Novato, Calif., and Roger and Cindy Aggson, Portland, Ore., Matthew and Stephanie Perry, Bismarck; and one great-grandson, John Riley Aggson. Chester was preceded in death by his parents; and one brother, Delbert R. Perry. The family prefers memorials to the Boy Scout Troop No. 6.

Antonia Polensky
DICKINSON -- Antonia Polensky, 84, Dickinson, died May 19, 2000 in the Dickinson hospital. Services will be held at 2 p.m. MDT Tuesday, at St. Wenceslaus Catholic Church, Dickinson, with the Rev. Phillip Brown officiating. Burial will be in St. Patrick's Catholic Cemetery, Dickinson. Visitation will be from 2-9 p.m. MDT today with a rosary said at 7 p.m. MDT; 8 a.m.-9 p.m. MDT Monday with a rosary said at 7 p.m. MDT followed by a prayer service by the Rev. Phillip Brown and from 8 a.m.-1 p.m. MDT Tuesday all at Mischel-Olson Chapel, Dickinson. Antonia Knopik was born May 17, 1916 at Manning the daughter of Mike and Mary (Tendeski) Knopik. She is survived by her children, Mary (Robert) Hermau, Columbia Falls, Mont., Hubert (Maureen) Polensky, Ontario, Ore., Jean (Ronald) Ridl, Fargo, and Audrey (John) Urban, Dickinson; 23 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren and five step-great-grandchildren; and one step-great-great-granddaughter; two sisters, Eleanor Breu, Dickinson, and Frances (Jerry) Meduna, Manning; and two brothers, Martin (Betty) Knopik and Hubert (Mary) Knopik, both of Dickinson. Charles V. Lee
The Rev. Dr. Charles V. Lee died April 28, 2000 in Omaha, Neb. at the age of 75. He was a longtime minister of United Church of Christ. In the mid 50's he and his wife, Sara served "The Flasher Larger Parish" which was five churches in North Dakota. The churches were in Flasher, Carson, Shields, Solen and Selfridge. With his plane he was known as the flying pastor. His wife Sara passed away while they were living in Cleveland, Ohio. He and his second wife, Theresa, lived in Omaha and served churches there. He also entertained care centers with singing and his guitar. He is survived by his wife, Theresa Lee; his son, Greg Lee, Chardon, Ohio; his daughter, Patty and husband, Mike McAlexander, Omaha; his sister, Ruth Jennings, Lima, Ohio; and several stepchildren and step-grandchildren.
