William Breuer
William H. ``Herb" Breuer, 87, Mandan, died June 22, 1997, in the Mandan hospital. Services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at First Lutheran Church, Mandan, with the Rev. Richard Hagestuen officiating. Burial will be in Mandan Union Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. today and 9 a.m. to noon Wednesday at Buehler-Larson Funeral Home, Mandan, and will continue at the church one hour before services.
William was born July 29, 1909, in New Salem, the son of Adolph and Minnie (Bethke) Breuer. He was raised and educated in the Judson area, where he farmed with his father until 1932. He married Myrtle Thorson, Sept. 25, 1929. They farmed and ranched in the Stone community, south of Mandan, from 1932 until they retired and moved to Mandan in 1979.
He was a member of First Lutheran Church and had been an active member of Stone Lutheran Church. He served with the Mandan Rural Fire Department, and he was a member of its board of directors. He also served on Chimney Butte School Board for several years. Bill enjoyed hunting and fishing with his children and grandchildren. Music was an important part of his life and he was known to sing or whistle a tune as he went about his work on the ranch. He was particularly fond of old-time music and in his younger years played the violin and harmonica.
He is survived by his wife, Myrtle; two daughters and sons-in-law, Arlyne and Jim Rothschiller, Rugby, and Marion and Bob Helbling, Fargo; one son and daughter-in-law, Ed and Dalas, Mandan; three granddaughters, Kara Henry and Mari Palm, both of Fargo, and Kathy Schulte, La Crosse, Wis.; six grandsons, Ed L. Breuer, Mandan, Dean Breuer, Devils Lake, Robert ``J.R." Helbling, Fargo, Mark Helbling, Fergus Falls, Minn., the Rev. James Rothschiller, Fargo, and David Rothschiller, Eagan, Minn.; 20 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; one sister, Della Welch; one brother, Charles Lang; and three grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, the family prefers memorials to First Lutheran Church building fund.
Christine Schulz
Christine Schulz, 89, Bismarck, died June 23, 1997, in a Bismarck hospital. Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Bethel Lutheran Church, Bismarck, with the Rev. Stephen P. Juergensen officiating. Dianne Schaeffer will serve as organist, and Pam Dever as soloist. Burial will be in St. James Lutheran Cemetery, Golden Valley.
Visitation will be from 2 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at Goetz Funeral Home, Washburn, and will continue at the church one hour before services.
Christine Miller was born June 18, 1908, in Golden Valley, to Christian and Amalia (Schlender) Miller. She was the youngest of their seven children. She married Arthur F. Schulz, June 27, 1926, at Golden Valley, where they resided and Arthur was a rural mail carrier. In 1951 they moved to Georgetown, Minn., where Mr. Schulz managed the grain elevator. The couple moved to Moorhead, Minn. in 1956 and then to Bismarck in 1980. Mr. Schulz died May 3, 1991. She continued to make her home in Bismarck and had been in ill health for the past month. She very much enjoyed her family and friends.
She is survived by one daughter, Betty L. Fettig, Las Vegas; three sons and two daughters-in-law, O.A. and Mary, Washburn, Jim and Shirley, Bismarck, and Delton, Thief River Falls, Minn.; six grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by six siblings; two infant daughters; her parents; and her husband.
Marci Boehler
Marci Lynn Boehler, 18, 518 Dohn Ave., died Oct. 9, 1996, in Des Moines, Iowa, as a result of injuries sustained in an automobile accident. Services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at Church of Corpus Christi, with the Rev. Steve Zastoupil officiating. Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery, Bismarck.
Visitation will be from 1-9 p.m. today at Boelter Funeral Home, where a vigil will begin at 7 tonight, with Patrick Hall presiding.
Marci was born June 25, 1978, at Fargo, the daughter of Gary and Julie (Basting) Boehler. They moved to Bismarck in October 1979, where she was raised and educated. She attended Rita Murphy Elementary, and attended the sixth grade at Centennial Elementary School. She then attended Hughes Junior High and Century High School, graduating in 1996. She was attending Grandview College at Des Moines in pre-veterinary medicine. Marci had a true love and compassion for all kinds of animals. Throughout her school years she was involved in track, basketball and music, especially piano. She was a dedicated Chicago Bulls fan.
She is survived by her parents, Gary and Julie Boehler, Bismarck; two sisters, Michelle Boehler, Seattle, and Melissa Boehler, Bismarck; and her grandparents, Oscar and Dorothy Boehler, Hazen, and Frank and Helen Basting, Grand Forks.
Tyler Jangula
Tyler Jangula, 17, 1701 Michigan Ave., died Oct. 9, 1996, in Bismarck. Services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at Church of St. Mary, Bismarck, with the Rev. Charlie Heidt officiating. Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery, Bismarck.
Visitation will be from 9 a.m.-9 p.m. today at Eastgate Funeral Service, where a vigil will begin at 8 tonight.
Tyler was born July 15, 1979, in Bismarck, the son of Pius Jr. and Karen (Mosset) Jangula. He went to school at Jeanette Myhre Elementary School, Wachter Junior High School and Bismarck High School. He worked at the Doublewood Inn, and with his dad at Northwest Contracting.
Tyler enjoyed being around people, teasing them and telling stories. He loved all sports, including football, and played on the Bismarck High School football team. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, water-skiing, tubing and having a good time with his friends and family.
Tyler, we love you and you will be greatly missed.
He is survived by his parents, Pius Jr. and Karen Jangula; two sisters, Melody and Kristin; his grandparents, Anna Marie Mosset, Bismarck, and Pius and Wilhelmina Jangula, Linton; many aunts, uncles, and cousins, including two special cousins, Jeremy Hiad and Eric Paul; and many special friends.
Leo Berger

Lyle Taylor

Audenia Kuntz
Audenia "Ida" Kuntz, 82, died April 17, 1999, in a Mandan nursing home. Services will be 10-30 a.m. Thursday at Church of St. Joseph, Mandan, with the Rev. Jacob Schumacher officiating. Burial will be in Mandan Union Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Wednesday at Weigel Funeral Home, Mandan, where a St. Maria Verein rosary will be said at 7 p.m. Wednesday, followed by a parish vigil at 7:30.
Audenia was born May 11, 1916, in Odense, the daughter of Christ and Antonina (Vogt) Schaff Sr. On Jan. 3, 1938, Ida married Frank J. Kuntz in Odense. They both farmed in the Odense and Fort Rice area until 1966, then moved to Mandan. Ida was employed at the Holiday Inn in Bismarck from 1966-1978.
She is survived by four sons and three daughters-in-law, George, Orland, Calif., Frank M. and Sharon, and Christian and Susan, all of Mandan, and Albert and Tori, Tuuscin, Md.; three daughters and sons-in-law, Virginia and Lou Klaich, Vancouver, Wash., Betty and Kelvin Kopp, Mandan, and Lorraine and Tim Kuntz-Dexter, Casper, Wyo.; 18 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; two brothers, Philip and Christ, both of Mandan; and one sister, Kathrine Comb, Mandan.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Frank J., who died in 1975; three sons, John, Adam and John; one grandson, Allen Boehm; three brothers, Frank, Steve and Peter; and three sisters, Helen Gerhardt, Margaret Schaff and Peggy Zent.
Gertrude Millner
Gertrude "Gertie" Julia Millner, 88, Gig Harbor, Wash., formerly of Mandan, died April 17, 1999, in Gig Harbor. Services will be 2 p.m. Friday at Haven of Rest Chapel, Gig Harbor. Burial will be in Haven of Rest Memorial Park.
Gertie was born Aug. 7, 1910, in St. Cloud, Minn. She married Anthony "Tony" F. Millner on June 17, 1930. Gertie and Tony were married for 67 years, until Tony's death in December of 1997.
Gertie and Tony resided and raised their family in Mandan. She was a Rosarian and an active member of the local garden club. After retiring in 1974, Gertie and Tony moved to Gig Harbor to be closer to their family.
She is survived by many loving family members, including her son and daughter-in-law, Ronald and Ann; her brothers-in-law, George Millner (Lorraine), Ray Millner (Tina) and sister-in-law, Ann Shaw; seven grandchildren, Bob (Jennifer), Steve (Joan), Ray, Leslie, Renee, Michelle and Mark Millner and numerous great-grandchildren; special family members Marguerite Wagner (Toby), Diane Millner and Charlene Millner.
She was preceded in death by her four brothers and her son, Anthony F. Millner Jr. (Haven of Rest, Gig Harbor)

CARRINGTON -- Margaret Sophie Hoppe, 84, Carrington, died April 18, 1999, in a Carrington care center. Services will be 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Trinity Lutheran Church, Carrington. Burial will be in Carrington Cemetery.
She is survived by four sons, John, James, Paul Jr. and Charles, all of Carrington; four daughters, Violet Tischleder, Cokato, Minn., Margaret Frappier, McHenry, Elizabeth Anderson, Sheyenne, and Linda Olson, Kingston, Minn.; four sisters, Pearl Edinger, Jamestown, Nellie Duursma, Carrington, Mildred Lies, New Rockford, and Jennie Lepley, Shevlen, Minn.; and two brothers, Pete Wobbema, Carrington, and Harold Wobbema, Minot.
