Jane Bitz Cheek
Jane (Mary Jane Bitz) Cheek lost her long fought battle with cancer, but she won the war. On June 16, 2007, a band of angels came and carried her to her new home in heaven.
Born Feb 7, 1950 to Al and Emma (Schulz) Bitz, Jane graduated from Napoleon High School in 1968 and the University of North Dakota in 1972 with a Bachelors Degree in Social Work.
Ruth Erbele
Ruth Erbele, 89, Junction City, OR, formerly of Salem, OR, died Wednesday, July 11, 2007.
Services were Tuesday at the Tabernacle, Lehr Campground, Lehr. Burial was in Immanuel Cemetery, Lehr.
Ruth Elizabeth Groen was born in Olivet, SD, the daughter of Henry and Elizabeth (Asche) Groen.
She married Rev. Walter A. Erbele of Lehr on June 27, 1943, in Wittenberg, SD.
Raymond Henn
Raymond John Henn, 97, formerly of Linton, died July 11, 2007, at a Bismarck care center. S
Raymond John Henn was born on Columbus Day, Oct. 12, 1909, the son of John P. and Ida (Geise) Henn. Ray grew up in Strasburg, and graduated from Strasburg High School, in 1929. He married his high school sweetheart, Mary Theresa Wagne, on Thanksgiving Day, Nov. 24, 1932 at St. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, Strasburg.
Reuben Kramlich
Reuben Kramlich, 78, Jamestown, died Tuesday, July 10, 2007 at Jamestown Hospital.
Reuben was born October 8, 1928 in Logan County, the son of Samuel and Magdalena (Jundt) Kramlich. He grew up and attended rural Logan County schools. On October 9, 1955 Reuben married Arlene Frey in Lehr. Reuben and Arlene began farming in the Lehr and Wishek area until 1963.
Marie Meidinger
Marie Meidinger, 91, Gackle, died Saturday, July 14, 2007, at Golden Acre Manor, Carrington.
Marie A. Dorr was born Aug. 7, 1915, at the family farm southwest of Streeter, the daughter of Jacob and Christina (Kranzler) Dorr. She attended the local rural school where she received her elementary education and grew up in the area. She married Theodore 'Ted' Meidinger on June 26, 1937, at Billings, MT. They lived east of Gackle where they farmed until 1941 when they moved to Hardin, MT.
Wendelin Rahrich
Wendelin R. Rahrich, 88, Bismarck, died July 13, 2007, in a Bismarck hospital.
Wendy was born Feb. 2, 1919, to Lawrence and Mary (Hoerner) Rahrich in St. Michael. He was raised and educated in Emmons County. After school, he spent two years in CCC, working on parks in Walker, MN, and Cody, WY. He married Anna Schlosser Sept. 4, 1944, and together they farmed in the Braddock area until moving to Bismarck in 1954.
Elmer Lehr
Funeral services for Elmer A. Lehr, 89, Truman, MN were held on Friday, September 14, 2007 at Trinity Lutheran Church, Truman, MN. Interment will be at Ridgelawn Memorial Park, rural Truman with military honors by Oles-Reader-Bosshart American Legion Post 115, Truman and Martin County VFW Post 1222, Fairmont. Elmer died on Sunday morning, September 9, 2007 at Truman Senior Living.
Elmer August Lehr was born on May 26, 1918 at Burnstad to August and Pauline Reich Lehr.
On November 10, 1946 Elmer was married to Mary Esther Schnabel in Burnstad. They lived in Napoleon where Elmer worked for Logan Implement Company for 14 years.
Anton Schlosser
Anton Schlosser, 92, Kintyre, died Sept. 16, 2007, in the Linton Hospital. Services were held Tuesday, Sept. 18 at St. Michael's Catholic Church, Linton. Burial was in the church cemetery.

Violet Hilzendeger, 81, Napoleon, died Sept. 23, 2007, at the Wishek Community Hospital. Arrangements are pending.
Otelia “Tillie” Hottman
The funeral for Otelia “Tillie” Hottman, 96, Dawson, was held Monday, September 24, 2007 at the American Lutheran Church in Dawson. Burial was held at the Napoleon City Cemetery, Napoleon.
Otelia Himmerich was born December 26, 1910 to Philip and Elizabeth (Rau) Himmerich Jr. in Logan County, Napoleon. She grew up, attended school in Cokato Township and was confirmed at Peace Lutheran Church in Streeter. Otelia lived with her parents on the farm until her marriage to Christ Hottman on November 27, 1928 in Steele. After their marriage, the couple farmed north of Dawson for five years, then farmed northeast of Napoleon until moving to their farmstead 10 miles north of Napoleon in 1943.
George Rohrich
George Rohrich, 86, Napoleon, died Sept. 23, 2007. Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 27, at St. Philip Neri Catholic Church, Napoleon.
Vigil services will be held at 7 p.m. Wednesday at St. Philip Neri Catholic Church. Further arrangements are pending.
Violet Hilzendeger
Violet Hilzendeger, 81, Napoleon, died Monday, September 23, 2007 at the Wishek Community Hospital. Private services were held Wednesday at Dahlstrom Funeral Home Chapel in Napoleon. Burial was at the St. Phillip Neri Catholic Cemetery, Napoleon.
Violet Kirschenmann was born April 8, 1926 to Ludwig and Katherina (Heib) Kirschenmann near Napoleon where she grew up and attended school. Violet was united in marriage to Melcher Hilzendeger on November 3, 1951 at Valley City.

LaVerne I. Stump Klauss Lathrop, age 92, Lansing, MI died December 24, 2006. Funeral services were held December 28 at the Tiffany Funeral Home in Lansing. Interment was made at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens.
LaVerne was the owner and operator of Bellon Sisters Beauty Shop for over 40 years.
Dalles George Leier
The funeral for Dalles G. Leier, Dawson was held Tuesday, October 2, 2007 at St. Philip Neri Catholic Church in Napoleon. Burial was at the Dawson Cemetery, Dawson.
Dalles George Leier was born April 23, 1958 at Bismarck to Leonard and Theresa (Grensteiner) Leier. He grew up on the family farm south of Tappen. He graduated from Tappen High School in 1976 and attended and graduated from Bismarck Junior College in 1978 with a degree in Agri–Business Sales and Service. Additional field training was received at Washburn Power and Equipment. Dalles worked at Wentz Equipment before farming and ranching full time.
He was united in marriage to Beth Nicholson on September 15, 1984 in Tappen. Dalles was a member of the Knights of Columbus, a member of St. Pauls Catholic Church in Tappen and a township supervisor for several years. He enjoyed reading and watching football.
