Ronald Delzer
Ronald Delzer, 23, Mandan, died Feb. 1, 1998, in a Bismarck hospital. Services will be 2 p.m. Thursday at First Lutheran Church, Mandan, with the Rev. Richard Hagestuen officiating. Burial will be in Mandan Union Cemetery.
Visitation will be after 9 a.m. today at Buehler-Larson Funeral Home, Mandan.
Ronald was born Aug. 26, 1974, in Bismarck, the son of Malcolm and Arlene (Cahoon) Delzer. He was raised and educated in Mandan, attending Mandan High School.
Ron enjoyed weight lifting, fishing, electronics and the outdoors. He loved taking his daughter, Alexus, for stroller rides in the park and to the zoo to feed the deer.
He had recently told his little girls that he would take them to the park when the weather warmed up.
He is survived by his parents, Malcolm and Arlene; his fiancee, Teresa Thompson, Mandan; his daughters, Alexus Rae and Miranda Lynn; his sister, Holly; his grandparents, Bertha Cahoon and Emanuel and Lorraine Delzer; special cousins, Clint and Greg; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and special friends.

Robert Dring
Robert L. Dring, 81, Bismarck, died Feb. 3, 1998, in a Bismarck hospital. Services will be 10 a.m. Friday at First United Methodist Church, Bismarck, with the Revs. Kermit Culver and Phil Lint officiating. Burial will be in Sunset Memorial Gardens, Bismarck.
Visitation will be Thursday from 3-8 p.m. at Bismarck Funeral Home, and will continue for one hour prior to services at the church on Friday.
Robert Lee Dring was born July 30, 1916, to George and Madeline (Sneibel) Dring in Velva. Robert went to school in rural McHenry County. He was united in marriage on Oct. 6, 1946, to May Ella (Wiley) in Velva. They ranched for many years in Velva.
Robert was a World War II Veteran and was a life member of American Legion in Velva. He was a long time member of Velva United Methodist Church, and was a member and usher at First United Methodist Church in Bismarck. Robert loved to do woodworking.
He is survived by his wife, May Ella; three daughters, Linda Beaty, Clearwater, Fla., Janet Placek, Bismarck, and Joan Mills, Spartanburg, S.C.; seven grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; two brothers, James, Eugene, Ore., and Walter, Lincoln, Neb.; and four sisters, Cloa Wasson, Pearl Emann and Elizabeth Horner, all of Minot, and Esther Hillman, St. Paul, Minn.

BOTTINEAU -- Ethel Gangl, 69, Bottineau, died Jan. 29, 1998, at her home after a long illness. Services were held Feb. 2 at St. Mark's Catholic Church, Bottineau. Burial was in the church cemetery.
She is survived by her husband, Wally; five daughters, Gail Stuberg, Bismarck, Kay Gangl, Grand Forks, Mary Blue, Bottineau, Sue Frank, Minot, and Jane Moe, Peoria, Ariz.; three sons, Brad, Bottineau, Greg, Grain Valley, Mo., and Paul, Gaines, Mich.; two sisters, Kathy Stepanek, Sierra Vista, Ariz., and Frances Davis, Gastonia, N.C.; and two brothers, Bernard Neuner, Brookfield, Ill., and Brother Clarence Neuner, Fran Jaya, Indonesia. Lawrence Glasser
Lawrence Glasser, 66, 623 S. 16th St., Bismarck, died Feb. 2, 1998, in a local hospital of heart disease. Services will be noon Thursday at Church of St. Mary, with the Revs. Charlie Heidt and Austin Vetter officiating. Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery.
Visitation will be 7-9 p.m. today at Eastgate Funeral Service, where a vigil service will be said at 7:30 p.m. today.
Lawrence was born on April 14, 1931, in Bismarck, the son of Frank and Rose (Wetzstein) Glasser. He attended school in Solen. Lawrence was married to Irene Hatzenbuhler on Nov. 8, 1950.
He was employed by Meisner and Anderson Construction for nine years and St. Alexius Medical Center for 32 years, until his retirement in 1993.
He was a master craftsman in woodworking and there was no challenge too big or too small. He spent many hours in his garden and in his shop where many masterpieces were created and memories were made.
Lawrence made a tremendous investment into his wife, children and grandchildren. They were the love of his life. He made endless sacrifices to provide a quality life for them.
Those who were so privileged to have shared in his life are: his wife, Irene; two daughters and sons-in-love, Carol and Dan Landeis, Bismarck, and Karen and Bob Porsborg, Center; one son and daughter-in-love, Lawrence Jr. and Carmen Glasser, Bismarck; 10 grandchildren, Jessica Landeis and Her fiance, Jeremy Oakland, Joshua and Jonnica Landeis, Chad and Mari Jo Porsborg, Heather Porsborg and her fiance, Scott Bullinger, and David and Stephen Glasser. He is also survived by brothers and sisters, Elaine Geiger, Mandan, Anton Glasser, Rose and Monica Stoller, all of San Mateo, Calif., John and Frank Glasser, both of Seattle, Wash., Maggie Froelich, Mandan, and Bertha Barth, Reno, Nev.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Frank and Rose Glasser; his father and mother-in-love, Nick and Hatzenbuhler; two brothers, Mike and Adam Glasser; and one sister, Elizabeth Stoltz.
In lieu of flowers the family prefers memorials to the donor's choice.
Ben Haas
ELGIN -- Ben Haas, 86, Elgin, died Feb. 3, 1998, in the Elgin hospital. Services will be 10:30 a.m. MST Friday at Bethesda United Methodist Church, Elgin. Burial will be in the church cemetery.

Paula Michelson
Paula Michelson, 51, Bellevue, Neb., went to meet her Lord Jan. 13, 1998, in an Omaha, Neb., nursing home. Services were held Jan. 16 at St. John's Methodist Church, Omaha. Burial was in Washburn.
Paula was born June 5, 1946, in Underwood to Quay and Leona (Schacher) Petersen. They family moved to Drake in her sophomore year where she graduated from high school.
She married Gordon Michelson from Albert Lea, Minn., on May 29, 1965. Her husband was in the Air Force and they lived in North Dakota, South Dakota, Mississippi, Kansas, Nebraska, and Okinawa, Japan. She made her home in Bellevue for the last 17 years.
She worked at Sears, Target, Data Control and up until her illness at the Sinclair Station in Bellevue. She loved to read and crochet for her children and grandchildren, whom she loved and adored.
She is survived by her father, Quay Petersen, Washburn; one daughter and son-in-law, Michele and Thomas Franeo, Lane Grove, Okla.; two sons and one daughter-in-law, Michael and Mary, Bellevue, and Mark, Council Bluffs, Iowa; five grandchildren, Joshua, Thomas, Paige, Zachary and Anthony; one sister, Arva Del Petersen, Mandan; three brothers and sisters-in-law, Leighton and Sherri, Billings, Mont., Lynn and Melinda, and Tim and Kristi, all of Bismarck; seven nieces and nephews; and many special friends and relatives. Also one special friend, Debbie Heavy, Bellevue.
She was preceded in death by her mother; grandmother; three uncles; and one nephew.
Hans Pederson
Hans Pederson, 96, 1100 E. Boulevard Ave., Bismarck, died Feb. 1, 1998, in a Bismarck hospital. Services will be 2 p.m. Saturday at Zion Lutheran Church, north of Driscoll, with the Rev. Hensel Hendrickson officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. Friday at Eastgate Funeral Chapel, Bismarck, and will continue one hour prior to services at the church.
Hans was born on Oct. 1, 1901, in Norway, the son of Anton and Anne (Bakken) Pederson. He moved with his family to the United States at the age of two. He was raised and educated in North Dakota.
Hans married Allene Sawyer on Aug. 26, 1933. Hans and Allene farmed in the Driscoll area for most of their life and raised two children, Martell and Jeanette.
Hans enjoyed spending time with family, friends and neighbors.
He is survived by his wife, Allene; his sister and brother-in-law, Olga and Lars Storhaug, Steele; one son, Martell Pederson, Driscoll, and fiancee, Joyce Rad-mer, Bismarck; one daughter and son-in-law, Jeanette and Bill Whited, Maryville, Mo.; four grandchildren and their spouses, Jim and Joyce Solheim, Vermillion, S.D., Bob and Linda Solheim, Carson City, Nev., Jane and Alejandro Montoya, Minneapolis, and Lora and Tim Ceperley, Lee's Summit, Mo.; nine great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; three sisters; and six brothers.

Ethel Mae Rolshoven
Ethel Mae Rolshoven, 65, Minneapolis, and formerly of Bismarck, died Feb. 1, 1998, in Minneapolis. A memorial service will be 1 p.m. Friday at Eastgate Funeral Service.
She is survived by three daughters and one son-in-law, Lynne and Leigh Rolshoven, both of St. James, Minn., and Lorri and Paul Murray, Andover, Minn.; three granddaughters; one sister and brother-in-law, Diane and Duke Albrecht, McLean, Va.; one niece; and one nephew.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Earl and Vera Ode. (Cremation Society of Minnesota)
Alvin Sauter
Alvin Sauter, 84, Goodrich, died Feb. 2, 1998, in the Harvey hospital. Services will be 2 p.m. Thursday at Peace Lutheran Church, Goodrich. Burial will be in Goodrich City Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 2-9 p.m. today and 10 a.m. to noon Thursday, both at Hertz Fuenral home, McClusky.
Alvin was born on March 18, 1913, near Goodrich, to Freadrich and Dorothea (Reiger) Sauter. He grew up and attended rural school near Goodrich.
He served with the Civilian Conservation Corps in California in 1938-1939. He returned to Goodrich. He married Ruth Dockter on Dec. 7, 1941, in Goodrich.
He served in the U.S. Army from March of 1942 and was honorably discharged in June of 1943. He and Ruth lived and farmed northeast of Goodrich. They retired in 1995 and moved into Goodrich.
He was a lifetime member of Peace Lutheran Church, where he served in several positions in the church council. He served on the Sheridan County Boone Township as supervisor and a school board member for many years. He was a life member of Albert Block American Legion Post No. 56 of Goodrich.
He enjoyed his grandchildren and especially his great-grandson, Sheldon Alvin.
He is survived by his wife, Ruth; two sons and one daughter-in-law, Larry, and Glen and Cheryl, all of Goodrich; one granddaughter and her husband, Melissa and Darin Frueh, Goodrich; a grandson, Chad and his friend, Lisa Raugust, Bismarck; one great-grandson, Sheldon Alvin Frueh, Goodrich; one brother and sister-in-law, Walter, Harvey, and Irene, Goodrich; three sisters and one brother-in-law, Emma Richardson, Jamestown, Tillie and Gust Unruh, Kissimmee, Fla., and Leona Thomas, St. Petersburg, Fla.; and numerous nieces and nephews.
