Edna Thurn
Edna Thurn, 79, Jamestown, died Mon., November 30, 2005 at the Jamestown Hospital.
Edna Just was born March 26, 1926, the daughter of Edward and Katherina (Thurn) Just. She received her elementary education at a rural school in Zeeland, and graduated from Zeeland High School in 1944, and grew to womanhood in the vicinity. She taught country school until 1948.
She and Emil Thurn were married June 27, 1948 in Wishek.
Amelia Beffert
Amelia E. Beffert, 89, formerly of Napoleon, died December 3, 2005 at Eaglie Cliff Manor in Billings, MT.
She was born to John and Katherine Grenz on December 24, 1915 and married Walter Beffert on April 15, 1935 in Napoleon.

James A. Magrum, 81, Loveland, CO, formerly of Braddock, died Dec. 7, 2005.
Oliver Schlecht
Oliver Schlecht, 71, Gackle, died Sat., December 10, 2005 at Medcenter One in Bismarck after a battle with cancer. The funeral will be at 1:00 PM Thurs., December 15 at Grace Baptist Church in Gackle.
Oliver Leslie Schlecht was born September 14, 1934 on the family farm north of Fredonia, the son of Godhielf and Susan (Burkle) Schlecht.
Reuben Kranzler
Reuben S. Kranzler, 90, Fargo, formerly of Jamestown died Friday morning, April 28, 2006 in the Bethany Homes in Fargo. The funeral service was Tuesday, May 2, 2006 in Jamestown. Interment was in the Sunset Memorial Gardens, Jamestown.
Reuben was born October 11, 1915 at Fredonia the son of Adam Kranzler and Margaret (Lippert) Kranzler. He receceived his elementary education in the Lehr School and grew to manhood in the vicinity.
He and Helen O. Kautz were married September 30, 1941 at Lehr. They made their home in Lehr.
Roger Maier
Roger Maier, 56, Jamestown, died April 24, 2006, in a Jamestown care center. Services were Friday, April 28, at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, Bismarck. Burial was in the North Dakota Veterans Cemetery, Mandan, with military rites by VFW Post 1326.
Roger Maier was born October 1, 1949, at Jamestown, the son of Gottlieb and Edna (Schnaidt) Maier. He was raised and educated at Streeter, graduating from Streeter High School in 1968.
Richard Nenow
Richard Nenow, 76, Streeter, died Friday afternoon, April 28, 2006 in the Innovis Hospital in Fargo. The funeral service will be at 10:30 AM Wednesday, May 3, 2006 in St. Lukes Lutheran Church in Streeter. Burial will be in the Lutheran Cemetery, Streeter.
Richard Nenow was born January 2, 1930 on the family farm southeast of Streeter the son of Nikolai and Pausha (Mienoff) Nenow.
He and Julianne Faleide were married June 23, 1963 at the Viking Church, near Maddock. They made their home on the family farm southeast of Streeter where Richard was born.
Daniel Sieverin
Daniel Sieverin, 71, Sacramento, CA, died on April 24, 2006. Funeral services were Thursday at St. Mel Catholic Church, Fair Oaks. Interment was at East Lawn Sierra Hills Cemetery, Sacramento.
A native of Chicago, IL, Dan as a young boy moved with his family to Wisconsin. He served faithfully and honorable for 20 years in the United States Air Force, retiring as Senior Master Sergeant on Nov. 1, 1976 from McClellan A.F.B. Dan remained in the Sacramento area and dedicated the next 30 years as a broker/investor in the real estate business.
Marian Brenneise
Marian Gienger Brenneise, 72, Jamestown, died Thursday, July 13, 2006 after a battle with breast cancer. Funeral services were held Monday at Temple Baptist Church, Jamestown. Interment was at Highland Home Cemetery, Jamestown.
Marian Mary Gienger was born April 21, 1934 in Streeter, the daughter of Paul and Mary (Seidel) Gienger. She grew up in the Streeter area and graduated from Streeter High School. She married Harlyn Brenneise in 1952. She worked at the Streeter post office for six years, Coca Cola Bottling Co. for 18 years and Wal-Mart for 12 years until she retired.
Edna Holzworth
Edna Holzworth, 80, died July 11, 2006 at the Missouri Slope Lutheran Care Center, Bismarck. Services were held Saturday at the Bismarck Community Church, Bismarck. Burial was in Sunset Memorial Gardens.
Edna was born on September 14, 1925, on the family farm near Burnstad, the daughter of Gottlieb Sr. and Magdalena (Nehlich) Eiseman. She grew up and received her elementary education in the vicinity and helped on the family farm. She married Edwin Holzworth on July 1, 1946 at Napoleon. They moved to Wishek where they resided until 1958 when they moved to Bismarck.
Pauline Meidinger
The funeral for Pauline Meidinger, 96, Wishek, was held Wednesday, July 12, 2006 at United Church of Christ in Wishek. Burial was at New Kassel Reformed Cemetery, rural Zeeland. Pauline died Sunday, July 9, 2006 at the Wishek Home for the Aged, Wishek.
Pauline Eckman, daughter of Fredrick and Christina (Weisser) Eckman was born September 20, 1909 on the family farm, rural Wishek. She received her elementary education in a rural school, graduating from the 8th grade. Pauline was united in marriage to Leopold Meidinger on November 18, 1930 at St. Andrews Lutheran parsonage.
Wendy A. Rivinius-Portz
Wendy A. Rivinius-Portz, 54, of 6807 42nd St. N.E., Cedar Rapids, Iowa, died in her home on Friday, June 23, 2006.
Survivors include her husband, Randy Portz; her parents, Melvin and Joyce Rivinius of Fargo, ND; four sisters, Cindy Huovinen and husband David of Cedar Rapids, Vicki Tillman and husband Gerry of Fargo, ND, Tracy Rivinius-Rudish and husband Mike of Whittier, Iowa, and Nancy Rivinius-Ruth and husband Joe of Buffalo, MN; nieces and nephews, Tara, Tanya, Tiana, Melissa, Joseph, David, Adam and Andi; great nieces and nephews, Alex, Ethan, Owen, Travis, Kale, Mitchell, Alex, Madison, Brittney, Sean and Jozie. Her grandparents, aunts and uncles preceded her in death.
Wendy was born January 24, 1952, in Streeter, ND, the daughter of Melvin and Joyce (Useldinger) Rivinius. She married Randy Portz on January 3, 1986, in Cedar Rapids. Wendy graduated from Mt. Mercy College with a B.A. degree. She was employed with Alliant Energy as Director Executive & Board Compensation for 35 years. She was a member of St. Pius X Catholic Church and on the Board of Directors for the Cedar Rapids Symphony.
George Anderson
George Carlyle Anderson, 88, of Underwood, Napoleon, and Bismarck died on Monday, August 7, 2006. Funeral services were held Friday at Augustana Lutheran Church in Underwood.
George was born April 17, 1918 in Bismarck to George Alfred and Bertha Anderson. He married Marian Kaiser on November 25, 1943 in Fargo.
