While in high school she had a special love for swimming and diving. She became a certified life guard for the Mandan Parks and Recreation. On Nov. 4, 1967, she married Roger Roy Kraft in Selfridge. Roger had recently been honorably discharged from the U.S. Army. Jennifer and Roger lovingly shared and enjoyed a full life of varied work, fun and charitable activities. They were inseparable while in various small business adventures, including their roving chuckwagon cookery, gardening, berry picking, canning, artistic candy making, furniture and home renovation and ice skating.
Jennifer's personal achievements were: paralegal for the elderly, whose worthy causes were closest to her heart; excellent skills as a salesperson, customer service relations and furniture repair-renewal for Furniture First of Mandan; the constant pursuit of gourmet excellence and giving of her cooking, canning and candies to her family and friends. While enduring the after sickness of multiple chemo and radiation therapies, which resulted in numbness to her fingers, hands, feet and legs, she so typically utilized her time and pressured herself to help others, especially children. She used her skills in sewing, crafts and renewing others' unwanted articles to create special teddy bears for children of the Bismarck/Mandan Care and Share Programs. Each teddy bear is unique "Jennifer Krafted" because she believed every child is special. A devout working Catholic and champion of those in need, she always tried to remember everyone who touched her life -- by touching them back in her own special way.
