Glen Steckler Sr.
Glen Dale Steckler Sr., 61, formerly of Huff, died Nov. 15, 1997, at his home in Lexington, Okla. Military graveside services were held Nov. 19 at Hillside Cemetery in Percell, Okla.
He is survived by his wife, Ida Mae; two sons, Glen Jr. and Gary, both of Denver; two daughters, Debbie Ornelas, Boise, Idaho, and Sherry Hagemyer, Denver; one brother, Harry, Peoria, Ariz.; six sisters, Ann Tishmack, La Grande, Ore., Veronica Carson, Casper, Wyo., Annabelle McFate, Pleasant Grove, Utah, Lorraine Millar, Huff, Loretta Bungert, Farmington, Minn., and Geraldine Cochran, Gun Barrel City, Texas; 11 grandchildren; and many relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Nat and Frances Steckler; and one brother, Larry.
Donald Sholts
Donald Herbert Sholts, 81, Fergus Falls, Minn., formerly of Hazelton, died Nov. 20, 1997, at his home. Services were held Nov. 22, 1997, at Grace United Methodist Church, Fergus Falls. Burial was in Evergreen Cemetery, Walker, Minn.
He is survived by his wife, Marjorie; two daughters, Dee Lonski, West Fargo, and Sheri Nagle, Fargo; two sons, Gary, West Fargo, and Alan, Alexandria, Minn.; two sisters, Fern Hannah and Faye Sauer, both of San Jose, Calif.; and two brothers, Maynard, Bismarck, and Russell, Luling, Texas. NAPOLEON -- Albert E. Lang, Napoleon, died Nov. 20, 1997, in a Bismarck hospital from injuries sustained in an automobile accident. Funeral arrangements are pending and will be held at a later date when Leona's health permits.

Esther Munsch
Esther L. Munsch, 90, Bismarck, died Nov. 24, 1997 in a Bismarck hospital. Arrangements are pending with Bismarck Funeral Home.
Loraine Hardmeyer
A funeral mass of cremation will be held at 10-30 a.m. MST Saturday at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church, Mott, for Loraine Antonia Hardmeyer, 77, former Mott resident. A wake service will be held at 7:30 p.m. Friday at the church.
Loraine died of cancer, Nov. 21, 1997, in her home on Woman Lake near Longville, Minn. At the time of her death, Loraine was in home hospice care, lovingly provided by her husband, Theodore, and their children.
She was born Feb. 16, 1920, at Milwaukee, to Nettie and Elmer Krause and graduated from high school there. She was employed at a bank and met and later married Ted, a student at Marquette University, on Aug. 31, 1940. The couple moved to Mott and then back to Milwaukee, where Ted completed his university degree. They returned to Mott in 1951. Ted and Loraine owned H&J Implement, a farm implement business on Mott's Main Street, and Loraine supported Ted during a political career as mayor of Mott and member of the State Legislature. In addition to raising 12 children, Loraine was bookkeeper for H&J and for many years served as a member of the Mott Public Library Board.
The couple retired from H&J in 1985 and moved to a home they built on Woman Lake so that Loraine could live her retirement years in the lake and pinewoods setting she had loved since her Wisconsin childhood. They spent winters in Weslaco, Texas, among friends. Loraine was an unofficial resident of Progresso, Mexico, a small village near Weslaco. She assisted a young Mexican family that she dearly loved and frequently took food, toys and clothing to the people and children of Progresso.
Loraine was a true gentlewoman, with a kind and loving spirit. She was a great lover of literature and archaeology and had a special interest in traveling with her husband and children. To her children, she gave the gifts of the world of books and a deep appreciation for the beauty of nature.
She is survived by her husband, Ted, Longville; 11 children; eight granddaughters; 16 grandsons; one great-grandson; and a brother.
Her daughters will serve as their mother's pallbearers. They are Judith Hardmeyer-Wright and husband, David, Bremerton, Wash., Jane Baker and husband Steve, Hackensack, Minn., Mary Beth Hardmeyer, Lummi Island, Wash., Lauren Donovan and husband Patrick, Hazen, Andrea Bacik and husband Mark, Seattle, and Lisa Hardmeyer Gray and husband Bruce, Seattle. Her oldest daughter, Denise Ann Guthrie, preceded her in death.
Loraine's five sons are Kent and wife Shirley, Newton, N.J., Steven and wife Mary, Alaska and Longville, Theodore and wife Julie, Moorhead, Minn., Eric and wife Laura, Bismarck, and Evan and wife Peggy, Portland, Ore.
Her brother, Al and wife Carol, live in Lake Tahoe, Nev. Loraine's younger brother, Laurel, preceded her in death.
Loraine supported the work of Habitat for Humanity in providing shelter for the impoverished. Memorials may be sent to: Habitat for Humanity Intl., 322 W. Lamar St., Americus, Ga. 31709.

HAZEN -- Marie Heine, 88, formerly of Hazen, died Nov. 24, 1997, in a Dickinson nursing home. Services will be held at 9 a.m. MST Friday at St. Paul's Lutheran Church, rural Hazen. Further arrangements are pending at Seibel Funeral Home, Hazen.

June Churchill
MCCLUSKY -- June E. Churchill, 82, McClusky, died Feb. 13, 1998, in a Bismarck nursing home. Services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, at Grace Lutheran Church, McClusky. Burial will be in Forest Home Cemetery, Rhinelander, Wis.

June Rainey was born on June 28, 1915 at Medford, Wis. She was the daughter of Charles and Mary (Zapfe) Rainey. She grew up in the Medford area and graduated from high school there. She married Arthur E. Churchill on Jan. 11, 1939 at Brainerd, Minn. They lived in Minot for a time before moving to Larimore. While living in Larimore, she was the clothing buyer at the Grand Forks Air Force Base Exchange (BX). They later moved to Grand Forks where she was the Sears Boys Department manager until 1970. They moved to McClusky and helped manage the McClusky Clothing Store until retiring in 1978. They moved to Rhinelander, Wis. He died in 1987. She returned to McClusky and entered the St. Vincent's Care Center in Bismarck in 1991.
June was a member of the Grace Lutheran Church, McClusky.
She is survived by one daughter, Nona Markovic, Bismarck; one son, Roger, Lisbon; four grandchildren and their spouses, Mark and Lynelle Markovic, Becker, Minn., Sherry and Kevin Korus, Denhoff, Scott and Carol Markovic, Mandan, and Shawn and Jessie Markovic, Bismarck; seven grandchildren, Nichole and Brett Johnson, Curtis and Chelsey Markovic, Callie and Morgan Markovic, and Madison Markovic; and one sister, Edna Linn, Rhinelander, Wis.
