MINOT -- Esther Greslivold, 85, Minot, died Nov. 16, 1997, died in a Mandan nursing home. Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday, at Bethany Lutheran Church, Minot. Burial will be in Rosehill Memorial Park, Minot.
She is survived by one brother, Melvin Hill, Minot; and two sisters, Alma Hill, Minot, and Lillian Ness, Dickinson.

HARVEY -- Duane Douglas Bender, 47, Harvey, died Oct. 30, 1997, at his home.

Oscar Geigle, 79, Herreid, S.D., died Oct. 31, 1997, in a Mobridge, S.D., hospital.

Margaret Knudson
DAHLEN -- Margaret Knudson, 93, Dahlen, died Oct. 30, 1997, in a Park River hospital.
Services will be 10:30 a.m. Monday at Dahlen Lutheran Church. Burial will be in Middle Forest River Cemetery, Dahlen.
She is survived by three sons, Keith of Fordville, Maurice of Cottage Grove, Minn., and Paul of Bismarck; and one sister, Marion Wylih of Edinburg. (Bakke Funeral Home, Fordville)

NEW ROCKFORD -- Lawrence Koch, 66, New Rockford, died Oct. 31, 1997, in New Rockford.
Services will be 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Evans Funeral Home, New Rockford.
Gerda Petterson
BOTTINEAU -- Gerda A. Petterson, 93, Bottineau, died Oct. 27, 1997, in a Minot hospital.
Services were held today at First Lutheran Church, Bottineau, with the Rev. Arlyn Eisenbrandt officiating. Burial was in Oak Creek Cemetery, Bottineau.
Elaine Freeman was the organist and Terry Goehring was the soloist. Casketbearers were Kenneth Gothberg, Jim Skoog, Dennis Haakenson, Curtis Haakenson, Darrel Stokes and Ronnie Reed.
Gerda Petterson, a daughter of Gustav and Anna (Syvertson) Haakenson, was born in Hulden, Norway, on Dec. 6, 1903. As an infant, she came with her parents to the United States.
They lived for a short time in Minnesota, and then moved to a farm in the Turtle Mountains, north of Bottineau. She was reared there, and attended country school at Jelleberg School near her home.
On Dec. 23, 1923, she was married to Hans Petterson in Bottineau. For most of their married lives, the couple lived in Bottineau, with the exception of short periods of time living in Grand Forks and Doyon.
Mrs. Petterson was employed at St. Andrew's Hospital for many years. Mr. Petterson passed away on Dec. 15, 1974.
She was a member of First Lutheran Church, Bottineau and was active in the women's organization within the church. She also participated in quilting projects at the church.
She is survived by three daughters, Alice Hahn of Westhope, Harriet Haugerud of Bottineau and Darlene Thiel of Bismarck; 10 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; three sisters, Ragnhild Fagerlund of Rolla, Lillian Petterson of Bottineau, and Florence Gothberg of Grand Forks; and one brother, Norman Haakenson of Bottineau.
She was preceded in death by her husband; one daughter; two grandchildren; and three brothers. (Nero Funeral Home, Bottineau)
Margaret Sehn
Margaret Sehn, 67, Bismarck, died Oct. 29, 1997, at her home.
Services will be 11:30 a.m. Monday at Church of St. Anne, Bismarck, with the Rev. Ed Wehner officiating. Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery, Bismarck.
Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. today, and 1 to 9 p.m. Sunday, both at Eastgate Funeral Service, where a rosary will be said at 7 p.m. Sunday evening.
Margaret Ehli was born June 8, 1930, in Bismarck, the daughter of Joe and Agnes (Dworshak) Ehli. She was raised and attended school in Bismarck. She married Edward P. Sehn on June 28, 1949, in Bismarck.
Margaret was employed with Missouri Slope Lutheran Care Center as an activity aide until her retirement.
Margaret loved being with her grandchildren and would always have a special baking project when they were around. She also enjoyed reading.
She is survived by two daughters and sons-in-law, Linda and Paul Davis of Bismarck and Nancy and Tom Selby of Williston; one son and daughter-in-law, Edward Jr. and Lorraine of Napoleon; six grandchildren, Christopher Williams and his wife Stacey, Nicole Williams, Sarah and Ruth Selby and Cullin and Breanna Sehn; three great-grandchildren, Kaylynn and Branden Williams and Brady Williams; one sister and two brothers-in-law, Rose and Herbert Weible of Oak Harbor, Wash., and Frank Vogel of Bismarck; and one brother and sister-in-law, Joseph and Betty Ehli of Fulton, N.Y.; and many special family, friends, and neighbors.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Ed, on Aug. 19, 1994; her parents; and two sisters, Marie Boyd and Elizabeth Vogel.
Shirley Schuck
JAMESTOWN -- Shirley B. Schuck, 78, Jamestown, died Oct. 31, 1997, in a Jamestown nursing home.
Services will be 1:30 p.m. Monday at First United Methodist Church, Jamestown.
Burial will be in Sunset Memorial Gardens, Jamestown.
She is survived by one daughter, Pam Heck of Jamestown; and one son, Dr. John Schuck of Milwaukee. (Eddy Funeral Home, Jamestown)
Katherine Suchy
Katherine Suchy, 95, Santa Maria, Calif., died Oct. 3, 1997, in a Santa Maria nursing home.
Services were held in Santa Maria. Burial was in Santa Maria Cemetery.
She is survived by three daughters, Marguerite Loran of Bismarck, June Ludvigson of Minneapolis and Kathleen Rohde of Santa Maria; and two sons, Frank of Blackville, S.C., and Robert of Minneapolis.
Frances Weihemuller
FESSENDEN -- Frances Weihemuller, 82, Fessenden, died Oct. 30, 1997, in the Harvey hospital.
Services will be 2 p.m. Monday at First Lutheran Church, Fessenden. Burial will be in Hillside Cemetery, Fessenden.
Visitation will be from 2-6 p.m. Sunday at Nelson Funeral Home, Fessenden, and for one hour prior to services at the church.
Frances Blauer, daughter of Ernest and Gertrude (Ashley) Blauer, was born July 8, 1915, near Heaton, where she grew up and received her education.
Following her graduation from Heaton High School in 1930, she attended Jamestown College, where she received her teaching certificate. She then taught in a number of area schools.
On Jan. 7, 1939, she was married to Glen Weihemuller in Jamestown. They farmed in the Emrick area until 1944, when they purchased a farm south of Fessenden, where they farmed until retiring in 1979.
Mr. Weihemuller died on April 1, 1985. She remained on the farm until moving into Fessenden in 1987.
She was a member of First Lutheran Church and Ladies Aide, Fessenden.
She is survived by one son and daughter-in-law, Mike and Charlotte of Bowdon; and his daughters, Jodi and Lori; one son, Loren; and his children, Corey, Heidi, and Melonie; one daughter and son-in-law, Sherry and Bruce McGuiness of Spearfish and their son, Michael; one daughter and son-in-law, Joanne and Neil Ranum of Osakis, Minn., and their daughters, Julie and Jennifer; and nine great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband; her parents; her stepmother, Edna; and one brother, Ernest Jr. (Nelson Funeral Home, Fessenden)
