DICKINSON -- Ruth Homsey, 73, Dickinson, died July 4, 1997, in the Dickinson hospital. Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. MDT Monday at Hillside Baptist Church, Dickinson, with burial in Dickinson Cemetery.
She is survived by one son, Terry, Dickinson; one daughter, Diane Homsey, Phoenix; and two sisters, Lorraine Weible and Alma Pluth, both of Dickinson. (Mischel-Olson Chapel, Dickinson)
Betty Ellisen
Betty (Ohm) Ellisen, 72, Mandan, died July 4, 1997, in a Bismarck hospital. Services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday at First Lutheran Church, Mandan, with the Rev. Richard Hagestuen officiating. Burial will be in Mandan Union Cemetery.
Visitation will be 3-9 p.m. today and 9 a.m.-noon Monday at Buehler-Larson Funeral Home, Mandan, and will continue at the church one hour before services.
Bette was born May 10, 1925, in Bismarck, the daughter of Carl and Elizabeth (Norton) Ohm. She attended school at Mandan Public Schools, graduating from high school in 1943. She attended business school in Minneapolis and returned to Mandan to work at Mandan Beverage and the State Laboratory.
On Sept. 23, 1948, Bette married Ernest Ellisen. They lived on a farm 11 miles southwest of Mandan for seven years and then moved into Mandan. When her children reached school age, she went to work for North Dakota Human Services Department as a secretary. She worked there for more than 25 years until her retirement in 1990.
Bette was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother, and known by friends and family as thoughtful, generous and loving. She was a member of Golden K, the Heart River Circle for nearly 50 years, Legion Auxiliary, Sons of Norway, a sewing club and District 34 of the North Dakota Democratic-NPL. She liked to travel.
She was preceded in death by her husband and an infant daughter.
She is survived by three daughters and sons-in-law, Siri and Wes Eisenmann, Mandan, and Crystal and Art Zander, and Kathleen and John Risch, all of Bismarck; six grandchildren, Gavin Eisenmann, Jesse, Drew and Seth Zander, and Adam and Emily Risch; one sister, Inez Hanson; one brother, Carl Ohm Jr.; and several dear nieces and nephews.
George Clark
DICKINSON -- George Robert Clark, 73, died July 3, 1997, in his home. Services will be held at 10 a.m. MDT Thursday at St. Patrick's Catholic Church, Dickinson. Further arrangements are pending at Price-Murphy Funeral Home, Dickinson.
Burdette Morrison
ROBINSON -- Burdette Morrison Sr., 78, Robinson, died July 5, 1997, in a Bismarck hospital. Services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Robinson United Methodist Church, Robinson, with the Rev. Marvin Winstryg officiating. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery, southeast of Robinson.
Visitation will be from 3-9 p.m. Tuesday and 9 a.m.-noon Wednesday at Eastgate Steele Memorial Chapel.
Burdette was born Sept. 12, 1918, in Progress Township in Wells County. He moved with his family to Robinson in 1925, and in 1927 he moved to the farm northeast of town. On Dec. 19, 1940, he married Ethel Whipple in Bowden. They lived on the farm until 1950 when they moved into Robinson. Burdette operated a service station in Robinson with his dad and his brother, Harold. He drove school bus for 25 years and was also the Santa Claus at the Robinson School for many years.
Burdette was a member of Robinson Lions Club, Robinson PTA, the Wildlife Club, Senior Citizens, the United Methodist Church, County Committee and was a Sunday school teacher.
He is survived by four sons and daughters-in-law, Darrell and Carol, Wahpeton, Burdette Jr. and Rosemary, Kenneth and Donna, and Daniel and Karen, all of Robinson; three daughters and two sons-in-law, Sandra and Dennis Sailer, Beulah, Carol Gulden, White Bear Lake, Minn., and Renea and Steven English, Chandler, Ariz.; 14 grandchildren, Brad Morrison and his wife, Denalie, Amber Morrison, Justin Morrison, Jennifer Morrison, Brian Sailer and his wife, Michelle, Julie Sailer and her fiance, Justin Leiseth, Roxanne Gulden, Chris English, Rachel English, Nicole Morrison, Mitchell Morrison, Kari Morrison, Laura Morrison and Nathan Morrison; one great-grandson, Isac English; three brothers, Harold Morrison, Robinson Morrison, Duane, Robinson, and Robert Morrison Chambers, Tacoma, Wash.; one sister, Darlene Carter, San Diego, Calif.; and one aunt, Freda Olson, Harvey.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his stepmother, Martha; and his wife, Ethel, in 1994.

Austin James Gross, 1 day, the infant son of Deborah Gross and James Weber, was born July 4, and died July 5, 1997, in a Bismarck hospital. Graveside services will be held at 12:30 p.m. today in St. Mary's Cemetery, Bismarck.

She is survived by her husband, Ken; one daughter, Cindy Hemmann, Grand Island; three sons, Ron, Palmer, Doug, Rapid City, S.D., and Tom, Palmer; one sister, Marlene Allmendinger, Bismarck, N.D.; and two brothers, Orville Garrett, Hordville and Melvin Garrett, both of Central City. David Crimmins
David W. Crimmins, 86, 1703 Diane Drive, Unit R, Apt. No. 4, Mandan, died March 10, 1998, in a Bismarck hospital. Services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, at Trinity Lutheran Church, Bismarck, with the Rev. Steve Sathre officiating. Burial will be in Sunset Memorial Gardens, Bismarck.
Visitation will be from noon-9 p.m., Thursday, and 9 a.m.-noon Friday, both at Eastgate Funeral Chapel, Bismarck, and will continue for one hour prior to services at the church on Friday.
David Crimmins was born May 21, 1911, in rural Emmons County, the son of Herman and Julia (Chamley) Crimmins. He grew up west of Hazelton. David married Inez Gantka on Dec. 22, 1932. They farmed in Emmons County, Glencoe and Wing. David worked for the J.J. Igoe and Sons Construction Co. in Bismarck, the Mandan Refinery and Midwest Motor Express.
David was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, Teamster Union Local No. 123 and Teamsters Local Retirees.
David is survived by his wife, Inez, Mandan; one son, Paul, Safford, Ariz.; three daughters, Davetta Engel, Pick City, Joan Miller, Gillette, Wyo., and Sharon Boone, Rifle, Colo.; 13 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; one brother, Harris "Bud" Crimmins, Arizona; two sisters, Mary Ellen Hildebrand and Helen Caro, both of Mandan; and many nieces and nephews. Flora Allred
Flora (Hardy) Allred, 84, formerly of Richardton, died March 3, 1998, in La Habra, Calif., after a long illness. Services were held in the Rose Hills Memorial Chapel, Calif. Burial was in Rose Hills Cemetery, Whittier, Calif.
Flora Hardy, daughter of Nicholas and Elizabeth (Scherger) Hardy was born on Feb. 19, 1914, in Richardton, where she was raised and attended St. Mary's School. In 1935, she went to California to seek employment. She married Lyle Claude Allred at All Souls Catholic Church, Alhambra, Calif. in 1935. Upon her husband's death in 1962, she worked as a clerk and modeled women's clothing at a beauty salon near her home in Montebello, Calif. In later years, she moved from her home to independent retirement living at La Habra Villa, La Habra, Calif.
She was active on the resident council there, and she enjoyed bowling, walking and reading.
She is survived by one daughter, Doris Thompson, Corona, Calif.; one son and daughter-in-law, David and Eleanor, La Mirada, Calif.; five grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; one sister, Rose Margaret Harris, Alpine, Calif.; and three half-brothers, Robert and Doreen Frankenhauser, Auburndale, Fla.; Edward Frankenhauser, Dickinson, and Brother Victor Frankenhauser, OSB, Assumption Abbey, Richardton.
She was preceded in death by her husband; her parents; her stepfather; two sisters and three brothers.
Leo Dinesen
Leo George Dinesen, 80, Naples, Fla., formerly of Bismarck, died March 8, 1998, in Naples. Services will be held at 7:30 p.m. today, at Muller-Thompson Funeral Chapel, Naples, with Dr. Gordon Postill, Chaplain, Hospice of Naples, officiating.
Visitation will be from 6:30-7:30 p.m. today, at Muller-Thompson Funeral Chapel, Naples.
Mr. Dinesen was a veteran of World War II, serving with the U.S. Navy. He retired from the Gold Seal Company, Bismarck, after serving as executive vice president. Leo had been a resident of Naples since 1975, coming from Detroit Lakes. Leo was preceded in death by his wife of 53 years, Phyllis, in December 1994.
Leo had a great love of golf. He was also an avid fisherman, bowler and hunter.
He is survived by his loving children, Jean Smith, Joan Butler and her husband, Pierce, William Dinesen and his wife, Shirley, all of Naples, and Robert Dinesen and his wife, Marilyn, Winter Haven, Fla.; and eight grandchildren.

Mary Eileen Felcyn, 67, Patterson Place, Bismarck, died March 9, 1998, at her home. Services will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, at Cathedral of the Holy Spirit, Bismarck, with the Rev. Thomas Kramer officiating. Spring burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery, Bismarck.
Visitation will be for one hour prior to services at the church Thursday.
Mary Eileen was born on Oct. 11, 1930, in Bismarck, the daughter of Walter P. and Agnes E. (Brown) Felcyn. She was raised and educated in Bismarck, graduating from St. Mary's High School. She worked in the Burleigh County Courthouse and also in Chicago for a number of years.
She is survived by two brothers, James P. Felcyn, Bismarck, and John L. Felcyn, Costa Mesa, Calif.; and a number of cousins, including Ben Homan of Mount Dora, Fla. (Eastgate Funeral Service, Bismarck)

Andrew Gross
NAPOLEON -- Andrew Gross, 68, Napoleon, died March 10, 1998, in a Bismarck hospital. Services will be held at 10-30 a.m. Saturday, at St. Philip Neri Catholic Church, Napoleon, with the Rev. James Lauerman officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
Visitation will be from 9 a.m.-8 p.m. today, and 9 a.m. until service time on Saturday, both at Dahlstrom Funeral Home, Napoleon. A Knights of Columbus rosary will be said at 7:30 tonight, followed by a rosary to be said at 8 p.m., both at the funeral home.
Pallbearers for the service are: Victor Wald, Duane Weigel, John A. Fettig, Marvin Kroll, Anton Horner and Emil Dewald. Mr. Jim Olig will serve as organist for the service, with special music provided by Mrs. Danita Bitz.
Andrew was born on May 25, 1929 in Schell Butte Township, southwest of Napoleon, the son of John M. and Magdalena (Vetter) Gross. Andrew was raised on the family farm in the St. Anthony area, southwest of Napoleon, and received his elementary education in rural Shell Butte Township Schools. He continued to live and farm with his parents until the age of 22, at which time he entered the United States Army on May 25, 1951. He served overseas in Korea and Japan with the 24th Infantry Division. He was discharged in May of 1953, and returned to the Napoleon area and later worked in Bismarck. Andrew married Agnes Wetzel on May 25, 1954, at St. Boniface Catholic Church. Following their marriage, they resided in the Bismarck area and Andrew worked on the farm for his brother-in-law. In 1955, they purchased a farm house seven miles northeast of Napoleon, where they lived and farmed until moving to Napoleon in 1992.
Andrew was an active member of St. Philip Neri Catholic Church, having served as Grand Knight, and he served on the board of Cardinal Muench Seminary for several years. Andrew served as the Glendale Township clerk for 10 years and later township supervisor, as well as the Glendale School District board. He served as a member of Logan County FHA board, Napoleon Care Center board, and Napoleon Fire Department member for many years. He was very active in Napoleon American Legion, having served in various capacities, including commander.
His interests included a passion for horses and cattle, but his love was his family and grandchildren.
Survivors include his wife, Agnes; eight children, Joe and Meredith, and Jeff, all of Bismarck, Karen and Ken Lang, Streeter, Colleen and Kelly Johansen, Devils Lake, Janet and Jeff Dewald, Richard and Sonya, and Andy Jr. and Carla, all of Napoleon, and Ray and Karen, Soldotna, Alaska; 22 grandchildren; his mother, Magdalena Gross, Bismarck; nine brothers and three sisters; Math and Barbara, John and Margaret, and Elizabeth and Anton A. Schatz, all of Napoleon; Clara and Adam Braun, and Valentine and Gean, all of Bismarck, Benedict and Christina, Peachtree, Ga., Anna Marie and Reuben Dammel, Medina, Brother Placid Gross, Richardton, Rev. Richard Gross, Grand Forks, Pius and Madeline, Buckeye, Ariz., Isadore Gross, Napoleon, and Leo and Lorraine, Bismarck.
