She is survived by three sons, Donald and Glendon, both of New Town, and Gary, Omaha, Neb.; three daughters, Marlys Grotberg, Marva Pretends Eagle and Glenda Rush, all of New Town; and two sisters, Seraphine Doggskin, Fort Yates, and Darlene American Horse, Cannon Ball. John Bliele
John J. Bliele, 56, Griffith, Ind., died July 8, 1996, in the Munster, Ind. hospital. Services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at St. Joseph Church, Mandan, with burial in North Dakota Veterans Cemetery, rural Mandan. Military rites will be by Mandan Veterans of Foreign Wars and American Legion.
Visitation will be from 6-9 tonight at Weigel Funeral Home, Mandan, where a parish vigil will begin at 7 tonight, followed by a Huff Altar Society rosary at 7:30. John was born Oct. 4, 1939, in Hebron, the son of Alex and Madgelina (Woroniecki) Bliele. He married Annette Dirk, June 4, 1982, in Mandan. John was a member of National Guard for nine years. He was employed with Koch Industries of Gary Works, Gary, Ind.
He is survived by his wife, Annette; two sons, Tom and Travis, both at home; his father, Alex Bliele, Bremerton, Wash.; one brother and sister-in-law, Al and Viola Bliele, Stephenson, Mich.; and one sister, Amy Bliele, Dickinson. He was preceded in death by his mother, Maggie.
Arnold Hanson
COLEHARBOR -- Arnold Hanson, 88, Coleharbor, died July 8, 1996, in the Garrison hospital. Services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday at Augustana Lutheran Church, Underwood, with the Rev. Todd Hylden officiating. Burial will be in Bethel Lutheran Cemetery, rural Coleharbor.
Visitation will be from 9 a.m.-9 p.m. today and 9-11 a.m. Friday at Thompson Funeral Home, Garrison, and will continue at the church one hour before services. Arnold was born Feb. 7, 1908, at Ulin, Minn. to Sanna Hanson Hagberg. He attended school in Minnesota and traveled to North Dakota to work on various farms. He married Myrtle Okerson, Sept. 5, 1929, at Underwood, and they resided most of their married life on their farm 16 miles east of Garrison.
He was a former member of Malcolm School Board, Malcolm Township Board, and a member of the former Bethel Lutheran Church.
He is survived by his wife, Myrtle; one daughter, Eunice Schock, Spokane, Wash.; two sons and one daughter-in-law, Vernon, Coleharbor, and Roger and LaVera, Deadwood, S.D.; 10 grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren; and three great-great-granddaughters; and one son-in-law, Marvin Fueller, Turtle Lake.
He was preceded in death by one son, Dale; one daughter, Elaine Fueller; and one daughter-in-law, Phyllis Hanson.
Pallbearers will be Terry Schock, Duane Schock, Dale Schock, Randy Hanson, Rodney Hanson and Bob Holtan.

HETTINGER -- Reva Eneberg Qualley, 81, Hettinger, died July 9, 1996, in a Bismarck nursing home. Services will be held at 2:30 p.m. MDT Friday at Hettinger Lutheran Church, with burial in Hettinger Cemetery.

Bailey Nicole Storrs, the infant daughter of Scott and LaShell Storrs, Cheyenne, Wyo., was stillborn July 9, 1996, in a Bismarck hospital. Services will be held Friday in Cheyenne.
She is survived by her parents; one sister, Shandar, at home; her grandparents, Roger and Margie Nieland, Bismarck, and Susan and Richard Merrill, Cheyenne, Frank Storrs, Cheyenne; and her great-grandmothers, Stella Kendall, Bismarck, Fern Nieland, Wapato, Wash., Helen Martin, Cheyenne.

Donald Barbie
Donald D. Barbie, 79, 1020 N. 16th St., died July 11, 1996, in a Bismarck hospital. A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Monday at Boelter Funeral Home, with Maurice Dance, his brother-in-law, officiating.
Donald Barbie was born Aug. 19, 1916, in Bismarck, where he was raised and educated. Following his graduation from Bismarck High School in 1935, he graduated from Bismarck Junior College. Donald entered the U.S. Army during World War II, serving in artillery operations in Hawaii and the Aleutian Islands. He married Marian A. Dance, July 3, 1948, in Bismarck. Donald graduated from University of North Dakota in 1950 with a degree in civil engineering. He served with the Army Corp of Engineers and participated in building Garrison Dam. Donald worked for Badgett Mine Stripping in Kansas and Pennsylvania and returned to Bismarck where he was employed by Delzer Construction. He worked at North Dakota State Highway Department from 1957 until his retirement in 1978.
Donald Barbie is survived by his wife, Marian; one son and daughter-in-law, Dana and Shirley, Austin, Texas; one daughter, Donna Kessler, Daytona Beach, Fla.; one granddaughter, Katrina Schmidt, New Orleans; and two sisters, Irma Markley, Bismarck, and Grace Wolitarsky, Turtle Lake.
The family requests contributions to a favorite charity in lieu of flowers.
Grace Sabot
Grace Sabot, 83, Missouri Slope Lutheran Care Center, died July 9, 1996, in the nursing home. Services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at Church of St. Anne, Bismarck, with the Rev. Leonard Savelkoul officiating. Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery, Bismarck.
A rosary will be said at 8 tonight at Boelter Funeral Home.
Grace was born June 30, 1913, in Bismarck, the daughter of George and Cecelia Gabel. She was raised on a farm northeast of Bismarck, and received her education at Gibbs Consolidated School. Grace married Vincent Sabot, Sept. 24, 1931. They homesteaded northeast of Bismarck until moving to Bismarck in July 1965. While her children were growing up, Grace was very active in 4-H.
She was an active member of Church of St. Mary and then Church of St. Anne.
She is survived by two daughters and sons-in-law, Vivian and Nick Schirado, Bismarck, and Dorothy and Richard LeBlanc, Manitoba, Saskatchewan, Canada; three sons and two daughters-in-law, Leonard and Doreen, Minneapolis, and Harold and Donna, Madison, Wis., and James, Moorhead, Minn.; 20 grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Vincent; one son, Robert; one daughter, Evelyn Hochhalter; six brothers; and three sisters.
Mayland Christenson
DRISCOLL -- Mayland E. Christenson, 94, Driscoll, died July 10, 1996, in the Linton hospital. Services will be held at 10 a.m. Monday at Zion Cemetery Association Church (formerly Lein Lutheran Church), north of Driscoll. The Rev. Joe Olson will officiate. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. today and Saturday, 1 to 9 p.m. Sunday at Eastgate Funeral Service, Bismarck, and will continue at the church one hour before services.
Mayland was born July 19, 1901, at Clarks Grove, Minn., the son of Nels and Mary (Otteson) Christenson. The family moved to a homestead northwest of Wing, where he was raised and educated. In 1918, he enlisted in the U.S. Navy and served until being honorably discharged in 1921. He married Constance Lein, Dec. 2, 1933. He worked as a ranch hand for various ranchers, he worked in construction and as a coal miner for many years. In 1944 they moved to Driscoll, where Mayland started farming. He retired from farming in 1963, and they moved to Bismarck. While in Bismarck, he worked for ASCS and SCS. Mayland enjoyed playing pool and cribbage after his retirement.
He is survived by one son and daughter-in-law, Ron and Gayle, Driscoll; one daughter, Muriel Schmitz, Bismarck; one son-in-law, Larry Schmitz, Menoken; five grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; one brother, Ernie, California; one sister, Hazel Kisro, Tucson, Ariz.
He was preceded in death by his wife, in 1983; his parents; five brothers; two sisters; one grandson; and one great-granddaughter.
The family prefers memorials to Zion Lutheran Cemetery Association.
Fred Keller
Fred J. Keller, 85, died July 12, 1996, at his farm home south of Mandan. Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at First Lutheran Church, Mandan. Burial in St. John's Cemetery, south of Mandan.
Visitation will be today 5 p.m. to 8 p.m., Monday 9 a.m. to 9 p.m., at Perry Funeral Home, Mandan, and one hour before services at the Church.
Fred was born March 31, 1911, in Mandan, the son of John and Barbara (Baumann) Keller. He was raised on his family farm and educated at rural schools south of Mandan. He married Ruth Frederick Oct. 24, 1946, in Mandan. They farmed south of Mandan until 1973, when he retired.
He was a charter member of the Mandan Eagles (51 years) and was a trustee and member of First Lutheran Church. Fred was welcomed into the Kingdom of God by his daughter Frances, his parents, three sisters, four brothers and others he loved.
He is survived by his wife Ruth; three daughters and sons-in-law, Anna Marie and Dave Aeschliman of Mandan; Carolyn and Richard Brunner of Bismarck; and Susan and Randy Hanson of Circle Pines, Minn; five grandchildren: Jesse Brunner, Timothy and Kellie Hanson, Lance Aeschliman and Chari Brennan; two sisters, Rose McKinley of Bismarck; and Ann Hadley of Dubuque, Iowa; one brother-in-law, Oscar Scheerle of Colorado; and two brothers, Harold Keller and Lewis Keller of Bismarck. Nathan Rode
Nathan Wayne Rode, 20, 1901 Second St. N.E., Mandan, died July 12, 1996, at his home. Services will be at 1:30 p.m. Monday at First Presbyterian Church, Bismarck, with the Rev. Glenn R. Ramsey, Jr., presiding. Burial will be in Sunset Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be from 2 p.m. to 9 p.m. today at Eastgate Funeral Service and one hour before the service.
Nathan was born Nov. 22, 1975, in Jamestown, the son of Art and LaDonna (Boom) Rode. He lived with his parents on the family farm southeast of Montpelier. In 1981, he moved with his family to Bismarck. He received his education in the special education department of the Bismarck Public School System.
Nathan loved the outdoors and music. He enjoyed spending time with family, friends and the caring staff at the Eastwood Group Home where he resided. He will be greatly missed by those who loved and cared for him.
He is survived by his parents, Art and LaDonna, and one brother, Justin, all of Bismarck; grandparents Lloyd and Lola Boom, Marion, Herbert Rode of Montpelier, and Myrtle McKenzie of Jamestown; his great-grandmother Gertrude Boom, Marion; and many aunts and uncles.
Peter Gaydos
MINOT -- Peter Edward Gaydos, 66, 611 13th St. SE, Minot, died July 12, 1996, in a Minot hospital. Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at St. Leo's Catholic Church, Minot. Burial will be in Rosehill Memorial Park, Minot.
Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 8:30 p.m. Monday at Thompson-Larson Funeral Home, Minot. Recitation of the rosary will begin at 7 p.m.
Mr. Gaydos was born Oct. 14, 1929, in Donora, Pa., the son of Michael J. and Suzanna (Timchak) Gaydos. He was reared and educated in Donora and graduated from Donora High School in 1947. Upon his graduation, he enlisted in the U.S. Air Force and was stationed at Kessler Air Force Base in Mississippi, Ellsworth Air Force Base in Rapid City, S.D., and at the Radar Station in Minot. On April 17, 1953, at St. Leo's Catholic Church in Minot, he married June M. Stenvold. When he was discharged from the Air Force, they moved to Donora, Pa., where he was employed by U.S. Steel. They moved back to Minot in 1958, and he went to work for Sweetheart Bakery, which later became Interstate Brands, where he worked as a route salesman. He retired from there in 1987, after 30 years of working with the bakery, and he continued to live in Minot until his death.
Mr. Gaydos was a member of St. Leo's Roman Catholic Church, Minot. He was a member and past president of the Eagles Aerie No. 2376. He also held every office of the Eagles Aerie No. 2376 and was a longtime active member of the Eagles Aerie Men's Ritual Team and won several awards with that team. He was named Eagle of the Year in 1974 and along with his wife, June, were named Mr. and Mrs. Eagle in 1975. He was also a member of Teamster's Union Locals No. 74 and No. 123 and was past president of both. He was a former member of the American Legion and Moose Club both of Minot. Over the years, he was active in the Boy Scouts of America, and he was an Eagle Scout.
He is survived by his wife, June M. Gaydos; four sons and daughters-in-law, Michael E. Gaydos and his wife, Marti, Lino Lakes, Minn; David J. Gaydos, and his wife, Michelle, Inver Grove Heights, Minn.; Mark S. Gaydos and his wife, Karen, Bismarck; and Robert F. Gaydos and his wife Tiffany, Aurora, Colo., four grandchildren, Katie, Kevin, Hannah and Stephen Gaydos; one brother, Stephen P. Gaydos and his wife, Agnes, Monongahela, Pa.; a sister-in-law, Dolores Gaydos, Donora, Pa.; and a number of nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and five brothers, Joseph, Andrew, Paul, Anthony and Michael.
