Erma Treiber
Erma Treiber, 97, Marian Manor Health Care Center in Glen Ullin and formerly of Hebron, died Tuesday, September 19, 2006 at the Marian Manor.
Her funeral service was held at 10:30 a.m. Monday September 25, 2006 at the St. John Church in Hebron with the Rev. Martin Nussbaum, officiating.
Burial was in the St. John Cemetery in Hebron.
Erma was born on April 17, 1909 on the family farm in rural Hebron, a daughter of George and Katherine (Duppong) Ding.
She was raised on the farm and educated in Hebron, graduating from the Hebron High School.
She attended Dickinson Teacher College and Valley City Teachers College. She taught school in rural Mercer County for two years.
She married John Treiber March 17, 1930. They lived on the Mary Treiber farm east of Hebron during the time of the Great Depression. After seven years of no rain and very low prices they bought a Gambles store in Richardton.
Soon after the rains came prices on cattle and grain soared, and farming was better.
Two children were born to John and Erma - Wallace in 1930 and Duane in 1933. They were raised on the farm and educated in Hebron.
Wallace attended and graduated from North Dakota State University in Fargo and was stationed in Washington, DC as a Second Lieutenant and later with the Department of Defense until his retirement in 1987.
Duane graduated from Dunwoody Institute in Minneapolis where he founded and owned Custom Mold and Design and Austech Mold and Design in Austin, TX. He sold both companies in 2001 and is now retired in Arizona.
Erma and John continued farming and were active in many civic organizations, soil conservation, REA and farm organizations. They worked tirelessly for many years to get rural electrification to all farms and in 1946 saw the reality of their labor.
Erma would say in later years "Electricity was the one thing that improved life on the farm and brought rural living to modern standards."
She was active in 4-H, a county director of Farmers Union for 15 years, active in the church where she taught Sunday School for 40 years and held executive positions in the Women’s Guild.
She was a member of the Brick City Senior Citizens and a charter member of the Happy Homemakers Club where she was a member for 69 years.
Erma loved music and used her talents as a pianist and program director for many organizations, groups and social functions.
Her husband died of a sudden heart attack in 1967 and she moved to Minneapolis for two years. In 1970 she had a new home built in Hebron where she lived for the next 31 years.
Due to health reasons she moved to the Waterford in Bismarck and later transferred to the Edgewood Vista.
In September of 2004 she moved closer to home at the Marian Manor Healthcare Center in Glen Ullin.
Erma enjoyed many hours of musical entertainment spent at the organ and piano. She enjoyed traveling though out the United States and parts of Europe but most of all she cherished the friendship of family, friends and the many people you meet in nearly a century of living.
She is survived by her two sons - Wallace and wife Carol of Harwood, MD and Duane and wife Shirley, Surprise, AZ.
She also leaves six grandchildren, six great grandchildren and a sister Esther Rohs, Sun Lakes, AZ.
Her parents, husband John, five brothers and three sisters preceded her in death.
Patty Ulrich
Patty Ulrich Hall, 62, of Hermitage, TN died Friday, October 20, 2006. She was born December 23, 1943 in Marianna, FL to the late Lt. Col. Alvin E. Ulrich and Irene F. Ulrich. Mrs. Hall retired from the Dept. of Veteran Affairs in Washington, D.C. in 1997.
She is survived by - David C. Hall; daughter - Leslie H. (Michael) Barr; grandchildren – Amber (Shane) Bay, Tabitha (Noe) Zaragoza; Great-grandchildren – Landon Wortham, Aarik Bay, Andrianna and Mariah Zaragoza
Sister – Beverly (Jack) Williams; Nephew – Jason Williams.
A graveside service was conducted at 3 p.m. Thursday, October 26, 2006 at Mt. Juliet Memorial Gardens.

Bond Memorial Chapel, N. Mt. Juliet Road and Weston Drive, Mt. Juliet, TN was in charge of arrangements.

Connie Vietz
Connie Ann Vietz passed away unexpectedly Thursday, October 19, 2006 after a brief illness in Boise, Idaho.
Her funeral service was held Thursday, October 26 at 11 a.m. at the Idaho P.O.S.T. Academy in Meridian, Idaho.
Burial followed at the Dry Creek Cemetery.
Connie was born in the Magic Valley Hospital in 1963 to James Vincent Herd Jr. and Janet Ann Herd.
She spent a number of years in the Twin Falls area before moving to Utah.
From the time Connie was six weeks old she looked upon the world with open eyes and embraced life with gusto.
She stepped into life with her first steps at seven months of age.
In her youth, she attended schools in Idaho and Utah.
Connie participated in volleyball, basketball and softball. She excelled in academics and had a phenomenal memory.
Connie married her one true love and soul mate, Greg Vietz in June of 1982.
She graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from the University of Utah in 1986. She received her Juris Doctor from the University of Houston, College of Law in 1991.
Connie began her legal career as a deputy prosecuting attorney with Ada County in 1991. During her tenure with the office she served as the Chief of the Juvenile Division, a felony trial attorney, the Preliminary Hearing Team Supervisor, The Idaho Prosecuting Attorneys Association representative to the Idaho Legislature and the Screening Unit Chief.
She saw all the darkness of the valley but forever remained fair, dedicated, vigilant and optimistic.
She had a rapier wit that never ceased to amaze.
Connie was cherished, loved and respected by her husband, children, parents, sisters, relatives, friends, colleagues, law enforcement officers, members of the Idaho State Bar and the judiciary.
Connie’s greatest joy in life was being a mother. She believed her children were precious gifts. She taught her children to both embrace and engage wholeheartedly in life.
She shared many wonderful adventures with her husband and children.
Connie is survived by her loving husband, Greg, beautiful daughter Vanessa, remarkable son Stefan, parents Jim and Janet Herd, sisters Becky Stein and Jana Beyerlin, her brothers-in-law Adam Stein and Corey Beyerlin, niece Ariana Stein and nephew A.J.Stein, her grandmother Ann Nielsen, mother and father-in-law, Elaine and Norman Vietz as well as numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
Do not stand by my grave and weep, I am not there, I did not die.

Services were under the direction of Summers Funeral Homes, Boise Chapel.
Fabian Woroniecki
Fabian Woroniecki, 77, Marian Manor Healthcare Center, Glen Ullin and formerly of Hebron, died Tuesday, November 7, 2006 at the Marian Manor.
Mass of Christian Burial was held at 10:00 a.m. Friday, November 10 at the St. Ann Catholic Church in Hebron with the Rev. Sebastian Schmidt, as Celebrant.
Burial was in the St. Ann Cemetery.
Fabian was born March 15, 1929 on the family homestead north of Hebron in Mercer County, a son of Joseph and Anna (Rogowska) Woroniecki. He was raised on the farm and educated in rural schools.
He developed an interest in mechanical items and enjoyed working with machinery.
In 1972 he moved into Hebron and started a "bobcat" barn cleaning business and helped area farmers in the spring and fall as he enjoyed operating the tractors.
In his spare time he loved playing cards.
Because of deteriorating health he moved to the Marian Manor in Glen Ullin in 2002 where he has since lived.
Fabian is survived by sisters - Marie Milczarek, Kettle River, MN; Frances Cymbaluk, Dickinson, ND and Ann (Gene) Dombrowski, Schererville, IN and brothers - Joe J. and Florian (Gladys), both of Hebron and Steve (Arlene), Point Harbor, NC.
He also leaves a number of nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, three sisters - Maggie Bliele, Wanda Elmer and Peggy Paschke and two brothers - Nick and John.

Agnes Mayer
Agnes Mayer, 74, Dickinson, formerly of the Hebron area died Tuesday, October 10, 2006 at St. Joseph’s Hospital and Health Center, Dickinson. Her funeral service was at 10 a.m. Saturday, October 14, 2006 at our Savior’s Lutheran Church, Dickinson with Rev. Noel T. Vold officiating.
Interment followed at the Dickinson Cemetery.
Agnes Klein was born January 27, 1932 at Burt, ND, the daughter of Richard and Lena (Dittus) Klein. She was raised and educated in the Burt area and graduated from the Hebron High School in 1951.
Agnes married Wilbert T. Mayer November 20, 1951 at St. John’s Congregational Church, Hebron. Together they farmed 20 miles southwest of Hebron on the Mayer family farm.
Retiring in 1988 they moved to Dickinson where they have since made their home. While in Dickinson she worked at Lyle’s Western Wear for a period of time.
Agnes and Wilbert belonged to the Eagles Club. She enjoyed fishing and camping, embroidery, dancing, listening to old time music, cooking for the family and playing cards. The joy of visiting, traveling and spending time with her family always brought great memories.
Agnes is survived by her husband, Wilbert and their six children - Gary (Julie) Mayer, Dickinson, Dale Mayer, Bismarck, Lyle (Aimee) Mayer, Dickinson, Jeff (Shar) Mayer, Dickinson, Donna (Greg) Montalvo, Dickinson and Scott (Brenda) Mayer, Bemidji, MN.
She also leaves three sisters - Irene (Arnold) Mayer, Hebron, Lorraine Brademeyer, Hebron, and Tillie (Ed) Kindsvogel, Mandan and two brothers - Leslie (Charmaine) Klein, Bismarck and Paul (Millie) Klein, Dickinson.
She leaves 13 grandchildren, four step-grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Preceding her in death were her parents and her granddaughter, Roxanne Mayer.
Arrangements were with Ladbury Funeral Service, Dickinson.
