Theresa Rose Mozinski was born
Aug. 27, 1955, in Grand Forks. She attended school in Warsaw, N.D., and graduated from high school in Minto, N.D., in 1973. She graduated from UND in 1977, with a bachelor of science degree in nursing. She began nursing in Missouri and later moved to Fargo, where she worked at St. Luke's Hospital. She married
Mark Foster on Sept. 16, 1978, in Warsaw. She worked in Fort Yates, N.D. They moved to Fargo, where she returned to working for St. Luke's. She attended Northwest Technical College, graduating in May 1995, as a Medical Record Technician. She worked for Dakota Clinic.
She is survived by her husband; children, Jeanette Lynn Foster, Michael Allen, and Rachel Mary Foster, all at home; brothers, Donald (Cynthia) and Kenneth, Ardoch, N.D., and Raymond, Fargo; and sisters, Elaine (Paul) Iverson, Bemidji, and Karen (Terry) Stratton, Lexington, Ky.
Services: 2 p.m. Saturday, Church of the Holy Spirit, Fargo.
Visitation: 3 to 5 p.m. today, Boulger Funeral Home, Fargo, with a 6: 30 p.m. prayer service in the church.
Burial: Holy Cross Cemetery, Fargo.
Mildred Kirkeide
MINNEWAUKAN, N.D. -- Mildred Kirkeide, 75, Minnewaukan, died
Thursday, Jan. 28, 1999, in Mesa, Ariz.
Mildred Axness was born
May 7, 1923, the daughter of Bernt and Svanhild (Sandven) Axness, in Rugby, N.D. She graduated from Leeds (N.D.) High School in 1941. She attended North Dakota Agricultural College, Fargo, before working as an assistant to the dietitian at St. Barnabas Hospital, Minneapolis. She married
Lloyd Kirkeide on Feb. 1, 1941, in York, N.D. She worked as a secretary in San Francisco. In 1946, they moved to Minneapolis, where she worked as a secretary at the Foshay Tower. They returned to Leeds in 1948 and owned and operated an upholstery business for nine years. In 1957, they moved to Minot, where she was a secretary to the general at Minot Air Force Base. They also owned and operated Lloyd's Upholstery and Fabric Center. They retired in 1977. They spent summers in Minnewaukan and winters in Mesa.
She is survived by her husband; a daughter, Laurel Stewart, Lake Arrowhead, Calif.; a son, Loren, Phoenix; four grandchildren; sisters, Caroline Fogelson, Leeds, Burnell LaGrave, St. Cloud, Minn., and Esther Nordhougen, Moorhead; and brothers, Laurence and Erling, both of Leeds.
She was preceded in death
by a sister, Evangeline Olson.
Services: 2 p.m. Monday, Leeds Lutheran Church.
Visitation: 2 to 8 p.m. Sunday, with a 6: 30 p.m. prayer service, Nelson Funeral Home, Leeds.

Elias Doten
THIEF RIVER FALLS -- Elias Doten, 80, Thief River Falls, died
Thursday, Jan. 28, 1999, in Good Samaritan Center, Warren, Minn.
Elias Bebee Doten was born
May 8, 1918, the son of Elias Atwood and Magie May (Bebee) Doten, in Marshall County, Gatzke, Minn., where he attended school. In 1930 he made his residency at Faribault (Minn.) State School, and in 1934 he moved to Cambridge, Minn., to the State School and Care Center. In 1960 he moved to Brainerd, Minn. From 1969 to 1998 he lived in Fergus Falls (Minn.) State Care Center. He then moved to Good Samaritan Center, Warren.
He is survived by a sister-in-law, Elnora Smith, Malta, Mont.
He was preceded in death
by a brother, Ralph; and half-brothers, Clarence Smith and Luey Smith.
Services: Were held in Greenwood Cemetery, Thief River Falls (Green, Thief River Falls).
Marc J. Baril
CROOKSTON -- Marc J. Baril, 44, Crookston, died
Monday, Feb. 1, 1999, in Altru Hospital, Grand Forks.
Marc J. Baril was born
Sept. 22, 1954, the son of Virgil and Beatrice (Brule) Baril, in Crookston, where he attended school.
He is survived by his father, Virgil (Beverly), Grand Forks; sisters, Tammy (Bill) Gorman, Fridley, Minn., Michelle (Bruce) Caspers, Roundup, Mont., and Brigitte (Ron) Schutte and Cheryl (Steve) Pederson, Faribault, Minn.; brothers, Scott (Robin), Greg, Kim, and Kevin, all of Crookston; step-sisters, Nancy (Gordon) Boucher, Crookston, Diane (Charlie) Hannah, Renville, Minn., and Julie Rokes, Dalton, Minn.; caregiver, Joe Rocha; and companion, Tootie.
He was preceded in death
by his mother.
Services: 3 p.m. Friday, Crookston Church of Christ.

Edith Dyrdal
THIEF RIVER FALLS -- Edith Dyrdal, 100, Thief River Falls, died
Sunday, Jan. 31, 1999, in Convalescent Nursing Care Unit of Northwest Medical Center, Thief River Falls, where she had lived since Sept. 12, 1994.
Edith Beatrice Benson was born
March 1, 1898, the daughter of Louis and Elaine (Odegard) Benson, in Anoka, Minn., where she attended school. She moved to Frazee, Minn., in 1910, where she graduated from high school in 1914. She attended Moorhead Teachers College. She taught rural schools in Menahga and Audubon area and Big Lake, Minn. She moved and worked for West Publishing in St. Paul, as a proof reader. She married
Ingebrigt "Bert" Dyrdal on March 20, 1926. They moved to Norden Township, Pennington County, Minn., in 1929. Bert Dyrdal died
Aug. 20, 1967.
She is survived by sons, Donovan (Anna), Thief River Falls, and David (Barbara), Chisago City, Minn.; a son-in-law, Daryl Lewis, Thief River Falls; eight grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and a sister-in-law, Helen Dyrdal, Thief River Falls.
She was preceded in death
by daughters, LuAnn Lewis and Edith Elaine; three grandchildren; a sister, Olive May Benson; and brothers, Lawrence and Earl.
Services: 2 p.m. Friday, Zion Lutheran Church, Thief River Falls.

Glenn A. Berg
ST. THOMAS, N.D. -- Glenn A. Berg, 85, St. Thomas, died
Tuesday, Feb. 2, 1999, in Wedgewood Manor, Cavalier, N.D., where he had lived since October 1998.
Glenn A. Berg was born
March 6, 1913, the son of Mathew and Lydia (Furtan) Berg, in St. Thomas. He attended school in Braham, Minn. He returned to St. Thomas where he worked for his father, painting and wallpapering. He served in the U.S. Army from 1942 to 1945. He returned to St. Thomas, where he did painting and worked as a farm laborer. He retired in 1978.
He is survived by a sister, Luverne Haarsager, Ulen, Minn.
He was preceded in death
by a brother, Lloyd; and a sister, Helen.
Services: 10: 30 a.m. Saturday, St. John's Lutheran Church, St. Thomas.
Visitation: One hour before services in the church.
Burial: St. Thomas City Cemetery.

Victor N. Ellingson
Victor N. Ellingson, 87, formerly of 518 Plum St., died
Tuesday, Feb. 2, 1999, in Cambridge (Minn.) Health Care Center.
Victor Ellingson was born
June 16, 1911, the son of Gina Ellingson, in Reynolds, N.D., where he attended school. He moved to Grand Forks, where he worked as a milk delivery person. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II. He returned to Grand Forks. He worked for Grand Forks Supply Co., for 32 years. He retired in 1977. He married
Frances Irene Breiland on June 29, 1940, in Buxton, N.D. She died
Jan. 30, 1985.
He is survived by a daughter, Karen (Dennis) Guthmueller, Stanchfield, Minn.; four grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and a step-sister, Sella Prater, Big Sandy, Mont.
He was preceded in death
by several brothers and sisters.
Services: 1 p.m. Friday, Amundson Funeral Home, Grand Forks.

Sigrid Thordarson

Sigrid Dalsted was born
Aug. 28, 1907, the daughter of Gudmundur Paul and Ingebjord "Emma" (Olson) Dalsted, in Advance Township, near Svold. She graduated from Cavalier High School and Business College. She married
Sigurd Thordarson on May 27, 1927, in International Falls, Minn. He died
May 28, 1976.
She is survived by a daughter-in-law, Mary Lou Thordarson (Cecil) Nichols, Moberly; nine grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death
by her son, Edmond; brothers, Alvin and Bjarni; and sisters, Christine Stewart and Helen Clapp.
Services: 2 p.m. Thursday, Jensen-Askew Funeral Home, Cavalier.

Harvey C. Smith
BEMIDJI -- Harvey C. Smith, 89, Bemidji, died
Sunday, Nov. 1, 1998, in Gold Pine Homes, Bemidji.
Harvey Craig Smith was born
March 23, 1909, the son of John and Tina Smith, in Puttman County, Ill. He moved with his family to the St. James, Minn., area and later to Tenstrike and Turtle River, Minn., area. After his father died, he moved with his mother to Shevlin, Minn. He worked in the logging camps around Turtle River and worked in the harvest fields in North Dakota. He began farming on his own. He married
Elin Swedberg in 1943, in Solway, Minn. They continued to farm. Elin Smith died
in 1989. He retired and moved to Bemidji.
He is survived by a sister, Pearle Koepp, Sandborn, Iowa.
He was preceded in death
by brothers, Joseph and Ray; and a sister, Orilla Hedge.
Services: 1: 30 p.m. today, Solway Bible Chapel.
Visitation: One hour before services in the chapel.
Burial: Solway City Cemetery

Jennie Halvorson
DEVILS LAKE -- Jennie Halvorson, 90, Devils Lake, formerly of Pekin, N.D., died
Nov. 1, 1998, in Heartland Care Center, Devils Lake.
Jennie Halvorson was born
April 5, 1908, the daughter of Reier and Pauline (Johnson) Halvorson, in Bergen Township, Nelson County, N.D. She attended Devils Lake High School and Aakers Business College, Fargo. She worked at Florence Crittenden Home, Fargo and Minneapolis, and for Social Services, Minneapolis. After retiring, she and her sister moved to Santa Monica, Calif., and then to Sun City, Ariz., where they lived. They returned to North Dakota in 1994.
She is survived by sisters, Ruth Halvorson and Bertha Holstein, both of Devils Lake.
She was preceded in death
by brothers, Martin, Theodore and Carl.
Services: 2 p.m. Thursday, Sigdal Lutheran Church, Hamar, N.D.
Visitation: 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. today and 9 to 11 a.m. Thursday in Gilbertson Funeral Home, Devils Lake, and one hour before services in the church.
Burial: Sigdal Lutheran Cemetery.
Norman Nelson
Norman Nelson, 91, Grand Forks, died
Monday, Nov. 2, 1998, in Valley Memorial Home North.
Norman Nelson was born
Feb. 3, 1907, the son of Theodore and Inga (Mellem) Nelson, in Loma, N.D. They moved to Union, N.D., where he attended school. He married
Dorothy Brown on Dec. 18, 1934, in Langdon, N.D. They moved to Grand Forks, where he was the distributor for Mobil Oil Co. for 20 years, and owned the Triangle Service Station, Grand Forks, and the Point Service Station, East Grand Forks. He retired in 1971. Dorothy Nelson died
Nov. 6, 1997.
He is survived by a son, Loren N. Nelson, Grand Forks; daughters, Darleen (Donald) Black, Avon, Minn., and Lois Bry, Atlanta; three grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and sisters, Tina Florence, Seattle, and Nora (Howard) Florence, Union, N.D.
He was preceded in death
by three sisters; and four brothers.
Services: 2 p.m. Thursday, Amundson Funeral Home.
Visitation: 4 to 6 p.m. today, with a 5 p.m. prayer service, and one hour before services all in the funeral home.
Burial: Memorial Park Cemetery.
