Thursday, Feb. 11, 1999, at home.
Joyce M. Flint was born
Nov. 16, 1936, the daughter of George and Clarice (Johnson) Flint, in Elbow Lake, Minn., where she graduated from high school in 1954. In 1958, she graduated from Concordia College, with a triple major in sociology, business education and psychology. She married
Dewey Tommerdahl on June 29, 1958, in Elbow Lake. They moved to Grafton, where she taught business education for Grafton High School. They lived in Grand Forks before moving to Fergus Falls in March 1996.
She is survived by her husband, a daughter, Dawn Tommerdahl (Rob Quanbeck), Glyndon, Minn.; a son, Mark (Annette), Fort Worth, Texas; a sister, Louise (Don) Wickoren, Moorhead; and a brother, Ray (Barb), Dilworth, Minn.
She was preceded in death
by her parents.
Services: 11 a.m. Monday, Augustana Lutheran Church, Fergus Falls.
Visitation: 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday, Olson Funeral Home, Fergus Falls, and one hour before services in the church.
Burial: Knollwood Memorial Gardens. Memorials are suggested to Augustana Lutheran Church Building Fund or the construction of a canopied walkway at the Fergus Falls Kidney Dialysis Center.
Olga 'Irene' Lillquist
BEMIDJI -- Olga "Irene" Lillquist, 92, Bemidji, died
Thursday, Feb. 11, 1999, in North Country Rehabilitation Center, Bemidji, where she had lived since January 1996.
Olga Peterson was born
Sept. 2, 1906, the daughter of Axel and Mary (Jonason) Peterson, in Amor, Minn. She moved with her parents to Guthrie, Minn., where she attended school. She graduated from French's Business College in Bemidji. She worked for the State Forestry office in Bemidji. She married
Arthur Lillquist on June 1, 1926, in Bemidji. They lived in Guthrie. Arthur Lillquist died
June 23, 1972. She moved to Cass Lake, Minn., and in 1982 to Bemidji.
She is survived by a daughter, Ardis (Donald) Norenberg, Bemidji; sons, Arthur (Neen), Guthrie, Gordon (Mary), Faribault, Minn., Darrel (Jean), Cass Lake, and David (Linnea), Fayetteville, Ark.; 17 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandson.
She was preceded in death
by a son, Harland; six sisters; and six brothers.
Services: 2 p.m. Monday, Calvary Lutheran Church, Bemidji.
Visitation: 5 to 8 p.m. Sunday, Olson-Schwartz Funeral Home, Bemidji, and one hour before services in the church.
Burial: Guthrie Cemetery

Mathilda Patron
LAKOTA, N.D. -- Mathilda Patron, 85, Lakota, died
Wednesday, Feb. 10, 1999, in Lakota Good Samaritan Center, where she had lived since July 1997.
Anna Mathilda Moilanen was born
Oct. 11, 1913, the daughter of Frank and Jenni (Houtari) Moilanen, in Brocket, N.D., where she attended school. She married
John Patron on May 28, 1931, in Devils Lake. They farmed in Brocket before moving to Fargo in 1958. She worked as a seamstress for Shotwell's and The Bridal Shop, Fargo. They moved to McVille, N.D., in 1978. John Patron died
in 1986. She moved to Lakota in 1988.
She is survived by a son, John Stanley (Kay), Grand Forks; daughters, Helen (O'Neil) Rainsberry, Lakota, Nona Lilleoien Johnson, Crary, N.D., and Paige Duklet, Winston-Salem, N.C.; 19 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren; brothers, Albert , Brocket, and Charles (Erva), Fargo; and sisters, Laura (Don) Anseth, San Diego, Calif., Elvi (Paul) Johnson, Minneapolis, Edna (Max) Straka, St. Paul, Mamie Evenson, Grand Forks, and Beatrice (George) Thompson, Alpena, Mich.
She was preceded in death
by a son, Ronald; a daughter, Dorothy Swingdoff; a son-in-law, Clare Duklet; a grandson; brothers, Oscar and Roland; and sisters, Lillian Nestlebush, Irene Carlson and Betty Honkola.

Thursday, Feb. 11, 1999, in Lutheran Home of the Good Shepherd, New Rockford.
Gertrude A. Senechal was born
May 14, 1906, the daughter of John and Maria (Pieske) Senechal, in Drake, N.D., where she attended school. She attended Minot State University and received her teaching certificate. She taught rural school near Harvey, N.D. She married
Milford Rogelstad on June 20, 1936, in Drake. They lived in Minot until the fall of 1936, when they moved to New Rockford. She taught in New Rockford for several years. Milford Rogelstad died
Oct. 26, 1985.
She is survived by sisters, Irene Renz, Bismarck, Lillian Lauf, Twin Falls, Idaho, and Ella Fors, Mandan, N.D.; a brother, Alvin, Encino, Calif.; and a sister-in-law, Thelma Senechal, Hudson, Wis.
She was preceded in death
by a brother, Walter.

Roberta M. Bertram, 88, Grand Forks, died
Saturday, Oct. 31, 1998, in the Valley Memorial Home- Eldercare, Grand Forks.
Roberta Bertram was born
Sept. 14, 1910, the daughter of John and Charlotte (Kean) Bertram, in Grand Forks. She grew up and attended schools in Kansas City, Mo., Salt Lake City and New Orleans. After her father's death, she returned to Grand Forks with her mother. She attended Aaker's Business College. She began working at the Grand Forks Herald as a proofreader. She retired as society editor in 1976, after 49 years with the paper.
She is survived by friends.

Walter H. Greening
DEVILS LAKE -- Walter H. Greening, 88, Devils Lake, died
Friday, Oct. 30, 1998, in Heartland Care Center, Devils Lake.
Walter Greening was born
Aug. 28, 1910, the son of Ewalt and Louise Zabel Greening, in Wales, N.D., where he grew up. He attended school in Minto Township. He married
Alvina Kleinschmidt on April 20, 1941, in Langdon, N.D. They lived and farmed in the Wales area until 1967, when they moved to Devils Lake. He moved to Heartland Care Center in 1995.
He is survived by his wife; sons, Tom (Caryn), Devils Lake and Don (Mickey), Anchorage, Alaska; and seven grandchildren.
He was preceded in death
by brothers, Charles, Ray, August, Fred and Gus; and sisters, Lena Heibert, Emma Schflo and Anna Steinke.
Services: 10 a.m. Wednesday, St. Joseph's Parish Center Chapel, Devils Lake.

THIEF RIVER FALLS -- Tilman Swenson, 78, Thief River Falls, died
Saturday, Oct. 31, 1998, in the Veterans Administration Hospital, Minneapolis.
Tilman Stanley Swenson was born
Nov. 26, 1919, the son of Mons and Helga (Johnson) Swenson, in St. Hilaire, Minn., where he attended school. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II. He was discharged in 1945. He married
Opal Angeline Ekre on Jan. 14, 1946, in Hawley, Minn. He worked as a gardener for the Agriculture College in Crookston. He moved in 1959 to Moorhead, where he was an employee of the City Street Department. In 1967, he moved to Redlands, Calif., where he worked as a janitor for the Loma Linda University Medical Center. He returned to Moorhead, where he retired in 1970. Opal Swenson died
in 1990. He moved in 1993 to Thief River Falls, where he lived at Valley Home.
He is survived by a son, Roger, Redlands; daughters, Annette Brekke, St. Cloud, Minn., and Sharon Fausti, Brooking, S.D.; two granddaughters; a brother, Melvin, Thief River Falls; and a sister, Gladys Bakken, Thief River Falls.
Services: 10: 30 a.m. Tuesday, Faith Lutheran Brethren Church, Thief River Falls.

LARIMORE, N.D. -- Sanford J. Larson, 80, Larimore, died
Saturday, Oct. 31, 1998, in Altru Hospital, Grand Forks.
Sanford J. Larson was born
April 14, 1918, the son of Emil and Agnes (Thorsell) Larson, in Larimore, where he attended school. He worked as a farm laborer in the area until purchasing his father's farm in 1945. He married
Borgny Larimore on Oct. 5, 1947, in Inkster, N.D. He farmed until 1956. He then worked construction until 1980, when he retired from Stremick Construction. He served as a substitute rural mail carrier. He also worked and a secretary-treasurer and lineman for the Larimore-Moraine Telephone Co.
He is survived by his wife; daughters, Lorna Wells, Alexandria, Minn., and Alice (Richard) Olson, Detroit Lakes, Minn.; sons, John, Fargo, Gary (Jill), Arvilla, N.D., and David (Connie), Larimore; nine grandchildren; a great-grandchild; and a brother, LeRoy (Esther), Paris, Mich.

Tuesday, Nov. 3, 1998, in Maple Manor Care Center, Langdon.
Gladys Cecelia Dew was born
Nov. 10, 1908, the daughter of Frank and Flora (Angliss) Dew, in Clyde, N.D. She attended school in Clyde and graduated from high school in Hannah in 1927. She married
Donald Tapson on Oct. 8, 1929, in Grand Forks. They farmed near Wales, N.D., until retiring and moving to Hanna in 1959.
She is survived by her children, Donald Jr. (Carol), Hannah, Lucerne (Carol), St. Paul; Grace (Arvid) Onsgaard, St. Paul, Doris (Hogen), St. Paul, Delores Tracy, Mason City, Iowa, and Mary Thoe, Circle Pines, Minn.; a sister, Roberta Ryan, New Mexico; and a brother, Clyde (Colleen), New Mexico.
She was preceded in death
by a baby daughter; a grandson; a sister, Flora; and a brother, Wes.

Gunda Bohn
DRESDEN, N.D. -- Gunda Bohn, 89, Maple Plain, Minn., formerly of Dresden, died

Gunda Sperling was born
Sept. 29, 1909, the daughter of Emil and Mathilda (Vogt) Sperling, in Dresden, where she attended school. She married
William Bohn on Jan. 30, 1931, in Fargo. They farmed in Moscow Township, Cavalier County, N.D. They moved to Minneapolis in 1957 and to Waconia, Minn., in 1991. William Bohn died
Oct. 10, 1992. She has resided in Haven Homes, Maple Plains since September 1994.
She is survived by her children, Janice (Ben) Nuelle, Langdon, N.D., Elaine (Chuck) Machacek, Mesa, Ariz., and Curtis (Sharon), Waconia; eight grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death
by brothers, Barney, Theodore, Albert, Fred, Frank, Richard, Emil and Earhart; and sisters, Pauline (Rudolph) Lick, Albertina (Gust) Friske and Erna (William) Domres.
