Dorothy Irene Graham was born
March 12, 1912, the daughter of Robert and Veronica (Adams) Graham, in Devils Lake. She attended school in Devils Lake and Churchs Ferry, N.D. She married
Ralph Lipp on July 21, 1931, in Leeds, N.D. They lived in Cando, where they operated Deep Rock Service Station until retiring in 1967.
She is survived by her husband; daughters, Lois Ladwig and Sharon (Ray) Roberts, both of Cando; two grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and sisters, Margaret Rader, Cando, Eleanor Wilcox, Devils Lake, and Adelle Davy, Amarillo, Texas.
She was preceded in death
by a brother, Clinton; a sister, Rita; and a son-in-law, Stanley Ladwig.
Services: 10 a.m. Monday, Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Cando.
Visitation: 2 to 8 p.m. Sunday, with a 7 p.m. prayer service, Dunnigan-Dix Funeral Home, Cando.
Burial: Sacred Heart Cemetery.
LaVaughn C. 'Vonnie' Bagge
ADAMS, N.D. -- LaVaughn C. "Vonnie" Bagge, 68, Edmonds, Wash., formerly of Adams, died
Tuesday, Oct. 27, 1998.
LaVaughn Carol Olson was born
Feb. 24, 1930, the daughter of Nels and Amelia Olson, in Adams. She married
John Bagge on May 26, 1949. They farmed until 1969, when they retired and moved to Edmonds.
She is survived by her husband; daughters, Roxanna (Arnie) Voight, Debra Bagge-Perez, and Jill (Tony) Hanson; a son, John (Jamie); five grandchildren; and sisters, Gladis, Edna, Alice, Eunice and Melva.
She was preceded in death
by brothers, Silas, Harold, Raymond and Neil.

Allan 'Bud' Klinke
BEMIDJI -- Allan "Bud" Klinke, 78, Bemidji, formerly of Lengby, Minn., died
Friday, Oct. 30, 1998, in Beltrami Nursing Home, Bemidji, where he had lived since November 1997.
Allan Wesley Klinke was born
Feb. 28, 1920, the son of William and Ruby (Colligan) Klinke, in Bagley, Minn. He grew up and attended school in Lengby. He joined the U.S. Navy during World War II. He then worked at various construction sites in Alaska. He lived in Washington state for a few years before returning to Lengby.
He is survived by children, Ronald (Janet) and Ross (Anita), both of Fosston, Minn., Richard (Dolores), Wrangell, Ark., Lorna (Charles) Snailum, Vancouver, Wash., Loren (Sue), Colfax, Wash., and Renee Green, Cheryl (Rick) Boutain and Dawn Olson, all of Thief River Falls; 29 grandchildren; 41 great-grandchildren; a brother, Donald (Dolly), Lengby; and sisters, Olive (Byron) Larson, Hibbing, Minn., and Margaret (Roger) Buckman, Hawley, Minn.
He was preceded in death
by a son, Donald; a grandson; brothers, Lee and Bill; and sisters, Edith Rose and Betty Slabaugh.
Services: 2 p.m. Monday, Carlin-Hoialmen Funeral Home, Fosston.

Sara 'Pat' Melin

Tuesday, Sept. 22, 1998, in North Country Regional Hospital, Bemidji.
Sara Drennan was born
Feb. 18, 1911, the daughter of John and Mary (McInnis) Drennan, in Hackett, Minn. She grew up and attended school in McInnis Creek, near Rainy River, Canada. She moved to Bemidji in 1935. She married
Lars "Gust" Melin on May 7, 1938, in Bena, Minn. They lived in Bemidji. During World War II, she lived in Everett, Wash. They returned to Bemidji. Lars Melin preceded her in death.
She is survived by several nieces and nephews.
Services: 3: 30 p.m. Friday, Olson-Schwartz Funeral Home, Bemidji.
Visitation: One hour before services in the funeral home.
Burial: Greenwood Cemetery, Bemidji.
Bessie Weimer
CRYSTAL, N.D. -- Bessie Weimer, 91, St. Paul, died

Bessie Morrison was born
May 18, 1907, in Crystal. She married
Stanley Weimer.
She is survived by a daughter, Mary Weimer, Minneapolis.

Saturday, Sept. 19, 1998, in Presentation Care Center, Rolette, N.D.
Harris Donald Disrud was born
April 28, 1905, the son of Henry and Anna (Knutson) Disrud, in the Norwegian community of Glenwood, Minn. He moved with his family to Rolla at the age of 12. He had lived in the Rolla area since. He married
Martha Albrecht on June 5, 1932, in Oxford Township, Rolette County, N.D. They lived and farmed north of Rolla. He also worked as a mechanic in Rolla for Clark Motor & Fagerlund Implement. He was a charter member of Our Savior's Lutheran Church, Rolla.
He is survived by his wife; sons, Myron (Pat), and Gordon (Charmane), both of Rolla; nine grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; a brother, Abner, Rolla; and a sister, Glenore Disrud, San Francisco.
He was preceded in death
by a son, Wayne; a daughter, Ramona; brothers, Vernon and Oral; and sisters, Joyce Dix and Orlette Clark.
Services: 2 p.m. Friday, Our Savior's Lutheran Church.
Visitation: 8 to 9 p.m., today and 9 to 11 a.m. Friday in Niewoehner Funeral Home, Rolla, and one hour before services in the church.

MAYVILLE, N.D. -- Olga Kaldor-Brumwell, 86, Mayville, died
Saturday, Sept. 26, 1998, in Luther Memorial Home, Mayville.
Olga Anderson was born
Oct. 12, 1911, the daughter of Hagbert and Andrea (Olson) Anderson, in Mayville, where she graduated from high school. She married
Lynn Kaldor in 1933. They farmed in Hillsboro, N.D. She worked as a cook and later as a practical nurse for Union Hospital. Lynn Kaldor died
in 1960. She married
Harry Brumwell in 1976. They lived in Scottsdale, Ariz. Harry Brumwell died
in 1984. In 1991, she moved to Luther Memorial Home.
She is survived by a son, Lee (Cynthia) Kaldor, Mayville; a son-in-law, Leaonard (Evie) Nelson, Pine River, Minn.; stepchildren, Richard (Diane) Brumwell, Red Lake Falls, Minn., Milton (Sherry) Brumwell, Erskine, Minn., Bob (Jan) Brumwell, Juniper, Fla., Jim (Jean) Brumwell, Chicago; four granddaughters; four great-grandchildren; a great-great-grandchild; several stepgrandchildren; brothers, Henry (Margaret), Grand Forks, Ernest (Bea), San Luis Obispo, Calif., and Milton (Evelyn), Jamestown; and sisters, Mildred (Walter) Abrahamson, Mesa, Ariz., and Avis Noell, Fargo.
She was preceded in death
by a daughter, Virginia Nelson.

Russell C. Wetherbee
Russell C. Wetherbee, 70, 322 Fourth St. N.E., East Grand Forks, died
Thursday, Sept. 24, 1998, in Altru Hospital, Grand Forks.
Russell C. Wetherbee was born
June 8, 1928, the son of William and Isabelle (Silvas) Wetherbee, in San Diego, where he attended school. He married
Patricia Falos on June 6, 1960, in San Diego. He worked as a truck driver for the Produce Market in San Diego. He retired in 1989. They moved to East Grand Forks in 1991.
He is survived by his wife; a son, Charles Schwab, East Grand Forks; a grandson; sisters, Marian and Donna, both of San Francisco, and Dot, Bishop, Calif.; and a brother, James, San Francisco.
He was preceded in death
by brothers, Charles, George, Russ, Bill and Bob; and sisters, Isabelle and Ceil.

Eddie Fridberg
DRAYTON, N.D. -- Eddie Fridberg, 86, St. Paul, formerly of Drayton, died
Wednesday, Sept. 23, 1998, in United Hospital, St. Paul.
Eddie Fridberg was born
Dec. 22, 1911, the son of Bertil and Ida (Jacobson) Fridberg, in Teien Township, Kittson County, Minn., where he attended school. He joined the U.S. Army in 1944. He moved in 1953 to St. Paul, where he worked as a machinist for the American Hoist Co. He married
Beverly Peterson on May 30, 1958, in Hibbing, Minn. They lived in St. Paul. He retired in 1981.
He is survived by his wife; sons, Jeff (Roxanne), Anoka, Minn., and David (Deb), Prior Lake, Minn.; three grandchildren; a brother, Conrad, Manistique, Mich.; and sisters, Edith Johnson, Warren, Minn., Alma Torell, Robbinsdale, Minn., Helen Tungseth, Plymouth, Minn., and Ida Saari, Hibbing.
He was preceded in death
by a brother, Elmer; and sisters, Elna and Helga.

David Bjorklund
HILLSBORO, N.D. -- David Bjorklund, 57, Troy, Mont., formerly of Hillsboro, died
Saturday, Sept. 19, 1998, in Libby, Mont.
David Bjorklund was born
Oct. 3, 1940, the son of Ansgar and Clara Bjorklund in Hillsboro. He attended school in Eldorado Township, Traill County, N.D., and graduated from high school in Crookston. He returned to the family farm, where he worked. He married
Nancy Roswich on Sept. 12, 1964, in Fargo. He later worked for Midwest Motors in Fargo. He lived in California, Washington and Montana, where he worked in sales.
He is survived by his parents; a son, Troy, Fargo; a daughter, Kristen (Barry) Blevins, Fort Wayne, Ind.; and brothers, Donald (Arlene), and Daniel (Julie), both of Hillsboro; and Dale, Troy.
He was preceded in death
by a son, Matthew.
Services: 2 p.m. Tuesday, Our Savior's Lutheran Church, Hillsboro.
Burial: Riverside Cemetery, Hillsboro (Wildeman, Hillsboro).
Robert B. Mechtie
NEW ROCKFORD, N.D. -- Robert B. Mechtie, 81, New Rockford, died
Thursday, Sept. 24, 1998, at home.
Robert B. Mechtie was born
July 19, 1917, the son of Robert and Eliza Mechtie Jr., in Eddy County, near Brantford, N.D. He attended school in Brantford and Juanita, N.D. He worked on the family farm. He served in the U.S. Army from November 1942 to December 1945., and was awarded the Purple Heart. He began farming near Grace City, N.D. He married
Marion Kurtz on March 4, 1948, in New Rockford. In 1963, they moved to Rockford Township, Eddy County, where they have lived and farmed since.
He is survived by his wife; and a daughter, Judy Mechtie.
He was preceded in death
by a brother and a sister.
Services: Private services will be held.
Visitation: 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, in Evans Funeral Home, New Rockford.
Burial: Prairie Home Cemetery, New Rockford.
