Agnes Mae Skaro, 73, formerly of Enderlin, N.D., and Grand Forks, died
Wednesday, Feb. 4, 1998, at Sargent Manor Nursing Home, Foreman, N.D.
Agnes Mae Vondal was born
May 20, 1924, the daughter of Peter and Delia (Longie) Vondal, in Walhalla, N.D., where she attended school. She married
Harvey Martin Skaro in 1950 in Inkster, N.D., where they lived until they moved to Langdon. He died
in 1963. She married
Ronald Skaro on May 12, 1964, in Grafton, N.D. They lived in Grafton until moving to Enderlin in 1985. She moved to Grand Forks in August 1994, and was a resident of Valley Memorial Homes-Almonte Nursing Center, until being evacuated to Foreman during the Flood of 1997.
She is survived by her husband, Enderlin; sons, Wayne, Grand Forks, Peter, Valley City, N.D., and Robert, Devils Lake; daughters, Norma (Jerry) Kuck, Sheldon, Alice Skaro, Devils Lake, and Beverly Ellingson and Linda (Erik) Pihl, both of Grand Forks; 16 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and a brother, Leonard, Fargo.
She was preceded in death
by a son, Harvey Floyd; brothers, Charles, Alphonse, Albert, Robert, Lawrence and Wilford; and a sister, Marie.
Services: 2 p.m. Saturday, St. Michael's Catholic Church.
Visitation: 5 to 7 p.m. today, with a 6: 30 p.m. prayer service, in Norman Funeral Home, Columbia Road.
Burial: Grand Forks.
Norma Leedahl
HOOPLE, N.D. -- Norma Leedahl, 69, Fargo, formerly of Hoople, died
Wednesday, Feb. 4, 1998, in MeritCare Hospital, Fargo.
Norma Listul was born
Dec. 17, 1928, the daughter of Kittle and Nina (Gjevere) Listul, in Hoople, where she attended school. She also attended Valley City (N.D.) State University. She married
Gerald "Jerry" Leedahl on Feb. 6, 1952, in Hoople. They lived in Hoople and St. Thomas, N.D. He died
June 26, 1974. She moved to Grand Forks and later Minneapolis to work as a nanny. In 1989, she moved to Fargo, where she worked in the customer service department at West Acres Mall.
She is survived by daughters, Cindy Williams, Dickinson, N.D., Tracey (Dan) Burton, Togo, Minn., and Tammy (James) Robinson, Princeton, Minn.; a son, Dirk, Fargo; her mother, Fargo; and nine grandchildren.
She was preceded in death
by a daughter, Peggy Louise; her father; and a brother, Norman.
Services: 2 p.m. Monday, First Lutheran Church, Hoople.
Visitation: Two hours before services in the church.
Burial: Hoople City Cemetery

Elna Sears
DEVILS LAKE -- Elna Sears, 81, Devils Lake, formerly of Minnewaukan, N.D., died
Wednesday, Feb. 4, 1998, in Good Samaritan Center, Devils Lake.
Elna Sears was born
Aug. 6, 1916, the daughter of Olof and Mary (Hanson) Pierson, in Beaver Township, Benson County, N.D. She attended school in York, N.D., graduating in 1935. She attended beauty school in Fargo. She married
Elwin Sears on June 20, 1942. They lived on his parents' farm in Eldon Township, Benson County. Later, they moved to their own farm in Eldon Township. Elwin Sears died
Oct. 2, 1966. She moved to Devils Lake in 1972, and spent winters in Mesa, Ariz.
She is survived by sons, Gary (Ginny) Sears, Minnewaukan and Rodney, Devils Lake; seven grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death
by a grandson; sisters, Edna Pierson, Evelyn Larson and Mae Larson; and brothers, Ralph and Lloyd.
Services: 2: 30 p.m. Sunday, St. Peter Lutheran church, Minnewaukan.
Visitation: 2 to 8 p.m. Saturday, with a 7 p.m. prayer service, in Nelson Funeral Home, Minnewaukan, and one hour before services in the church.
Burial: Church cemetery.
Bessie Weimer
CRYSTAL, N.D. -- Bessie Weimer, 91, St. Paul, died
July 21, 1998.
Bessie Morrison was born
May 18, 1907, in Crystal. She married
Stanley Weimer.
She is survived by a daughter, Mary Weimer, Minneapolis.
She was preceded in death
by her husband, and a sister, Mary Morrison.
Esther M. Iverson
BOTTINEAU, N.D. -- Esther M. Iverson, 87, formerly of Bottineau, died
Tuesday, Sept. 22, 1998, in the Larimore (N.D.) Good Samaritan Center, where she had lived since April 20, 1988.
Esther Mildred Iverson was born
Oct. 11, 1910, the daughter of Severin and Kirsten (Halvorsen) Iverson, in Bottineau, where she attended school. She moved with her family to Snohomish, Wash., in July of 1923. They later moved to Three Lakes, Wash., where she grew up and attended school.
She is survived by a sister, Hulda Funk, Eugene, Ore.; and a brother, Fred, Springfield, Ore.
Services: Will be held in Snohomish.
Burial: Snohomish (Bakke, Larimore)
Harris Disrud
ROLLA, N.D. -- Harris Disrud, 93, Rolla, died
Saturday, Sept. 19, 1998, in Presentation Care Center, Rolette, N.D.
Harris Donald Disrud was born
April 28, 1905, the son of Henry and Anna (Knutson) Disrud, in the Norwegian community of Glenwood, Minn. He moved with his family to Rolla at the age of 12. He had lived in the Rolla area since. He married
Martha Albrecht on June 5, 1932, in Oxford Township, Rolette County, N.D. They lived and farmed north of Rolla. He also worked as a mechanic in Rolla for Clark Motor & Fagerlund Implement. He was a charter member of Our Savior's Lutheran Church, Rolla.
He is survived by his wife; sons, Myron (Pat), and Gordon (Charmane), both of Rolla; nine grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; a brother, Abner, Rolla; and a sister, Glenore Disrud, San Francisco.
He was preceded in death
by a son, Wayne; a daughter, Ramona; brothers, Vernon and Oral; and sisters, Joyce Dix and Orlette Clark.
Services: 2 p.m. Friday, Our Savior's Lutheran Church.
Visitation: 8 to 9 p.m., today and 9 to 11 a.m. Friday in Niewoehner Funeral Home, Rolla, and one hour before services in the church.

Ernie Walski
ST. THOMAS, N.D. -- Ernie Walski, 59, St. Thomas, died
Monday, Sept. 21, 1998, in Pembina County Memorial Hospital, Cavalier, N.D.
Ernest F. Walski was born
Sept. 11, 1939, the son of Max and Bernice (Greevers) Walski, in Warsaw, N.D. He attended school in Warsaw and Minto, N.D., where he graduated from high school. He served in the U.S. Army. He worked for the City of Minto until 1967, when he went to work for Otter Tail Power Co. in Minto, Park River, N.D., and St. Thomas as a service representative.
He is survived by a son, Michael, Dilworth, Minn.; a daughter, Mary Walski, Grafton; sisters, Leona Korczak, Drayton, N.D. and Isabel Niswonger, Minto; and a brother, Henry Gerszewski, Cincinnati.
He was preceded in death
by his parents.
Services: 2 p.m. Friday, St. Thomas Catholic Church.

Sara 'Pat' Melin
BEMIDJI -- Sara "Pat" Melin, 87, Bemidji, died
Tuesday, Sept. 22, 1998, in North Country Regional Hospital, Bemidji.
Sara Drennan was born
Feb. 18, 1911, the daughter of John and Mary (McInnis) Drennan, in Hackett, Minn. She grew up and attended school in McInnis Creek, near Rainy River, Canada. She moved to Bemidji in 1935. She married
Lars "Gust" Melin on May 7, 1938, in Bena, Minn. They lived in Bemidji. During World War II, she lived in Everett, Wash. They returned to Bemidji. Lars Melin preceded her in death.
She is survived by several nieces and nephews.
Services: 3: 30 p.m. Friday, Olson-Schwartz Funeral Home, Bemidji.
Visitation: One hour before services in the funeral home.
Burial: Greenwood Cemetery, Bemidji.
Theodore K. Geir
MOUNTAIN, N.D. -- Theodore K. Geir, 79, Vista, Calif., formerly of Mountain, died
Sept. 9, 1998, in Tri City Hospital, Oceanside, Calif.
Theodore Kristjan Geir was born
March 24, 1919, the son of Chris and Solvieg (Halldorson) Geir, in Mountain. He worked on the family farm. He joined the U.S. Navy in 1941 and was a prisoner of war until being released at the end of the war three years later. He moved to San Diego County in the 1950s. He married
June Keller on Feb. 5, 1966. She died
June 11, 1993. He was an electrician in northern San Diego County and worked for San Onofre Nuclear Power Plant.
He is survived by a daughter, Krislyn (Robert) Woolever, Shermansdale, Pa.; sisters, Christine Hall, Edinburg, N.D., Ann Bobillier, Orland Park, Ill., Mae Gorman, Los Angeles, Eleanor (Willard) Biliske, Kent, Wash., and Marian McWalter, East Grand Forks; and a brother, Johann (Alma), Cavalier, N.D.
He was preceded in death
by a sister, Lilly Paulson; and brothers, Thor, John and Clarence.

Hazel Crotty
PEMBINA, N.D. -- Hazel Crotty, 74, Pembina, died
Tuesday, Sept. 22, 1998, in Altru Hospital, Grand Forks.
Hazel Evelyn Lokken was born
May 11, 1924, the daughter of John and Emma (Cleem) Lokken, in St. Vincent, Minn. She attended school in St. Vincent and Pembina. She married
Dennis Crotty on May 9, 1945, in Pembina. She worked for H.A. & J.L. U.S. Customs Brokers in Pembina. After retirement, they spent winters in Lake Havasu City, Ariz.
She is survived by her husband; a daughter, Cody (Paul) Jensen, Grand Forks; sons, Denny (Bea), Pembina, Dean (Wendy), Bemidji, and Curt (Diane), Appleton, Wis.; and nine grandchildren.
Services: 10 a.m. Friday, Assumption Catholic Church, Pembina.
Visitation: 3 to 5 p.m. today, with a 5 p.m. prayer service, in the church.

Eva K. Morrison, 80, formerly of Grand Forks, died
Monday, Sept. 21, 1998, in Villa St. Vincent, Crookston.
Eva Katherine Schue was born
Aug. 14, 1918, the daughter of John and Christina (Lee) Schue, in Grand Forks, where she attended school. She married
John George Morrison in 1936 in Grand Forks. She worked for the Coca-Cola Bottling Co., and later as a cook for Valley Memorial Homes, both of Grand Forks. John George Morrison died
Nov. 13, 1997.
She is survived by sons, John "Jack," Dahlen, N.D., and Lawrence "Pat" (Geraldine), Grand Forks; eight grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and a sister, Marion Jacobson, Grand Forks.
She was preceded in death
by a son, Gerald; a brother, Joseph; and sisters, Dorothy Curtin and Margaret Schue.
