Marian Arvilla Heath Place, 69, Great Falls, Mont., died Monday, Jan. 29, 2001. A memorial service will be held Wednesday, Feb. 7 at 2 p.m. in the Bowman Lutheran Church, Bowman. Burial of her ashes will follow in the Bowman Cemetery.
Marian was born May 10, 1931.
She is survived by her mother, Mary Heath; one sister Jean Roehl, both of Bowman; her brother Duane Heath of Hettinger; two daughters, Debra Rae Place of Great Falls, Mont., and Dawn Marie Fairbanks of Geraldine, Mont.

Rudy Bich, 83, Dickinson, died Feb. 8, 2001
Rudy Bich, 83, Dickinson, died Thursday, February 8, 2001, at St. Joseph's Hospital and Health Center, Dickinson. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, February 10, 2001, at First Congregational-United Church of Christ, Dickinson, the Rev. Peggy Harris officiating. Interment will be in Dickinson Cemetery, Dickinson.
Visitation will be held Friday at Price-Murphy funeral Home from noon to 9 p.m. Visitation will be held Saturday at the church one hour prior to the service.
Rudy Bich was born August 18, 1917, twelve miles south of Harvey, ND, to Jacob and Leontina (Winter) Bich. He attended school in Harvey, Bismarck and Hebron. Rudy married Evelyn Esslinger, September 1, 1940, in Dickinson. He served in the U.S. Army during WWII. Rudy worked for the Frank Gokey family businesses, Surety Mutual Insurance of Fargo and Northern Bottling of Minot from 1956 to 1985, when he retired as vice president and general manager. Evelyn died January 20, 1993. Rudy was a member of the German-Hungarian Lodge, Eagles Club, and the Elks Lodge. He enjoyed reading and traveling.
He is survived by two sons, Gerald B (Linda), Minneapolis, Minn., and Donald J., Boise, ID.; four sisters, Freda Morris, and Lillian Bich, both of Tacoma, Wash., Louella Mitchell, Wenatchee, Wash., and Deloras Gehlhausen, Silverdale, Wash.; one brother, James Bich, Wenatchee, Wash.; one sister-in-law, Joyce Kostelecky, Dickinson.
He was preceded in death by his wife and his parents.

Fred Armbrust, 81, Dickinson....
Funeral services for Fred Armbrust, 81, Dickinson, ND, will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, February 3, 2001, at Queen of Peace Church, Dickinson, ND. Military Rites will be provided by William C. Blair Post #144. Burial will be at a later date at St. Joseph's Cemetery, Dickinson.
Visitation will be at Stevenson-Mischel-Olson Chapel on Friday, February 2, 2001 from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. with a rosary at 7 p.m. led by Belfield K of C #6310, followed by a prayer service led by Deacon Al Hibl. Viewing on Saturday, February 3, 2001 at Queen of Peace from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m.
Fred Armbrust was born March 10, 1919 to Kasper and Margareta (Hoerner) Armbrust. He was raised on the family farm 18 miles North of Belfield and attended St. Joseph's Catholic School for 5 years and country school. Fred married Emilia (Stoltz) at St. Joseph's Catholic Church, Dickinson, on June 11, 1947. They made their home 18 miles north of Belfield on a farm and ranch. Fred served in the US Army from October 5, 1942 until February 25, 1946. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus Council #6310, The Eagles, German Hungarian and American Legion #144 Belfield. Fred enjoyed both farming and ranching for all his years on the farm.
Fred is survived by his wife, Emilia; one son, David (Dorothy) Armbrust, Belfield, ND; two daughters, Sandra Riehl, Mandan, ND, Darlene (Steve) Kruger, Fargo, ND; seven grandchildren, Karl Riehl, Bryan Armbrust, Roxanne Armbrust, Aundrea Riehl, Brianna Kruger, Keri Riehl, Alex Kruger; one brother, Joseph (Anna Mae) Armbrust; two sisters, Florence Logsdon, San Diego, CA, Rose Kirking, Coeur D'Alene, ID.
He is preceded in death by his parents, one sister.

Gilla D Woffard, 102, Bowman, died Wednesday, Feb. 7, 2001 at the Sunset Care Center, Bowman. Funeral services will be held Friday, Feb. 9 at 11 a.m. at Krebsbach Funeral Service Chapel, Bowman, with the Rev. Daryl Olson officiating. Burial will be in Spurlock Family Cemetery, Glenwood, West Virginia at a later date.
Gilla Daniels was born March 9, 1898.
She is survived by one son, Russell Brown Sr.; two sisters, Floye Beam, Louisville, Ky., and Geneva Downey of Virden, Ill.

Samuel A. "Sam" Fisher, 58, Dickinson, died Thursday, Feb. 8, 2001, at MedCenter One, Bismarck. The funeral mass will be at 10 a.m., Monday, Feb. 12, at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Dickinson, with Fr. Kenneth Phillips as the celebrant.
Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m., Sunday, at Ladbury Funeral Service, Dickinson, with a prayer service at 7 p.m.

Barbara Kubischta, 93, Dickinson, died Thursday, May 31, 2001, at the St. Benedict's Health Center, Dickinson. The funeral mass will be at 10 a.m., Saturday, June 2 at St. Joseph's Catholic Church, Dickinson, with Fr. Jerry Kautzman as the celebrant.

Calvin Privratsky, 42, died Feb. 14, 2001
A Memorial Service for Calvin Ray Privratsky, 42, Goltry, OK, will be held on Monday, February 19, 2001 at 10:00am at Stevenson-Mischel-Olson Chapel.
Calvin died on February 14, 2001. He worked various oilfield companies and at the time of death was employed drilling for fiber optic construction.
Calvin Ray Privratsky was born on June 6, 1958, to John H. and Mary (Roller) Privratsky. He grew up in New England, ND. Calvin attended St. Mary's High School and graduated in 1976. He fought many personal battles and as a result was blessed with many dear friends in Goltry, Cherokee, Ringwood, Helena, Enid, Dalhart, TX, Clovis, NM and North Dakota. He will miss his crew and best friend, Mike Pogue. His favorite saying sums up his love of his friend-"there is no greater love than to lay down his life for a friend."
Calvin is survived by his mother, Mary (Joe) Privratsky; two daughters, Amanda & Samantha Privratsky, OK; maternal grandparents, Frank (Cecelia) Roller, Dickinson; two brothers, Jordan Privratsky, Walford, IA, Paul Privratsky, Belfield, ND; three sisters, Debbie Brandt, Enid, OK, Sharon Keller, Dickinson, ND, Gayle Olheiser, Brawley, CA and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his father, John H. Privratsky, three brothers and fraternal grandparents.

Rosalie "Rose" Novotny, 82, Dickinson, died Thursday, February 15, 2001, at St. Luke's Home, Dickinson. Mass of Christian Burial will be 10 a.m. Monday, February 19, 2001, at St. Wenceslaus Catholic Church, Dickinson, with the Rev. Chris Kadrmas celebrating. Interment will be in St. Wenceslaus Cemetery, Dickinson.
Visitation will be held on Sunday at Price-Murphy Funeral Home from noon to 9 p.m. with a rosary and prayer service at 7:30 p.m.
Rosalie "Rose" Ridl was born on July 2, 1918, to Karl and Minni (Rambousek) Ridl, in Stark County. She married Anton Novotny on November 8, 1938, at Sts. Peter and Paul Church in New Hradec. They resided in Dickinson, where Rose was a wife and a homemaker. She enjoyed cards, playing bingo, attending Mass at Church, music, movies, and all of the activities at St. Luke's Home.
She is survived by her three sons, Henry (Jean), Gilbert (Diane), and Earl (Elaine), all of Dickinson; three daughters, Darlene (Ken) VanBillard, Riverside, Calif., Patty Toof, and Karen Meyers, both of Dickinson; 12 grandchildren, Marcellus Novotny, Shawn Novotny, Douglas Novotny, Todd Sager, Missy Novotny, Rose Matt, Gleeh Toof, Brandy Bayne, Darwin Toof, Ken VanBillard, Brenda Hortolf and Tracy Sparke; 14 great-grandchildren and one sister, Lillian Ellasky, Friedley, Minn.
She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, one son, Tony; one brother, Albert Ridl; two sisters, Mary Buday and Hattie Rudnick and many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred.
