Mary Knopik, 88, Dickinson, died Saturday, Feb. 27, at her home. Mary’s Mass of Christian Burial will be at 1:30 p.m., Tuesday, March 2, at St. Wenceslaus Catholic Church, Dickinson, with Fr. Jim Braaten as the celebrant.

Eva Weiler, 89, Dickinson, joined other family members in Heaven when she died Friday, Feb. 26, at St. Benedict’s Health Center, Dickinson. Eva’s Mass of Christian Burial will be at 2 p.m., Wednesday, March 3, at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, Dickinson, with Father Charles Heidt as the celebrant. Visitation will be from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. Tuesday and on Wednesday from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Ladbury Funeral Service, Dickinson. There will be a rosary and vigil at 7 p.m. Tuesday at Ladbury Funeral Service.

Beverly Jean (Knutson) Hanson
Beverly Jean (Knutson) Hanson, 73 of Reeder, passed away peacefully on June 15. As Bev wished, she was cremated. A memorial service will be held at 1:30 p.m., Mountain Time, July 24, at the Congregational Church, Reeder.
Bev was born to Selma and Albert Knutson on Dec. 31, 1936 in Reeder. Bev and her husband Gene were united in marriage on May 2, 1958 and raised five children.
Together, they owned and operated Sno-Dak Oil and Polar LP Gas. Bev later worked for Halvorson’s Super Valu, Hettinger and Sunset Care Nursing Home, Bowman. However, she was best known for her home-made buns, fabulous meals and a loving heart.
Bev was a member of the Eastern Star, West River Shrine, American Legion Auxiliary, Toastmasters and the First Congregational Church Reeder where she was the organist for many years.
Bev is survived by her daughter Lorri (Spencer) Giddings, Bismarck; four sons: Scott, Martinez, Calif.; Lyman, Fargo; Terry, Reeder; Chris, Hettinger; five grandchildren; Jennifer (Shane) Hellman, Matt (Meleah) Giddings, Moxa Giddings, Dillon and Henry Hanson; her great-grandson Colton Hellman; honorary son, Paul Hutton; honorary granddaughter Elisabeth Chin, her sister-in-law Marilyn Hanson; and special friend Cheryl Schumacher.
Bev is also survived by her sisters: Ada Kamrath; Gladys Heier; Arlene Reynolds; Louise (Bob) Goss; Gayle (Jerry) Durgin; Mabel (Rocky) Jones; brothers: Arol (Joyce); James (Audrey); Albert; and Gary.
Bev was preceded in death by her husband, parents, brother Charles, sisters Stella, Beverly Elaine, Doris, and daughter-in-law Terry.
Undesignated memorials will be given in her honor to the Central Dakota Humane Society, Mandan, or 4 Luv of Dog Rescue, Fargo.

Funeral services for Darlene Nagel, 69, of Bismarck, formerly of Hebron, will be Friday, 11 a.m. CST, Feb. 5, at St. John UCC Church, Hebron, with Pastor Gaylund Olson officiating. Burial will take place at St. John’s Cemetery, Hebron.
Visitation will be from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. CST, Thursday, Feb. 4 at Spangelo-Stevenson Funeral Home in Hebron, continuing from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. with a prayer service being held at 7 p.m. CST at St. John UCC Church in Hebron. Visitation will also be held one hour prior to the service on Friday at the church.
Darlene passed away Saturday, Jan. 30, at Missouri Slope Lutheran Care Center, Bismarck.
Darlene was born in Elgin on Sept. 8, 1940, the daughter of Jacob and Magdalena (Schock) Wolf. She grew up and attended school and graduated from the Elgin High School in 1958. Darlene was married to Robert Nagel on Feb. 8, 1959. Together they lived in Hebron, where three children were born to this union: Lynette, Perry and Jeff. Darlene began working for the Security Bank of Hebron, now the Dakota Community Bank, where she spent the next 37 years. She was a member of the St. John Church, sang in the choir and was an active member of the women’s guild. Darlene loved games, especially jigsaw puzzles and Crazy B Rummy. Darlene and Robert enjoyed dancing and being out with friends and family. She especially loved her children, grandchildren and her great-grandchild. Darlene has touched many hearts through her kind words and actions. She would always help in any way she could. Darlene made her home in Hebron until 2007, when she moved to Bismarck, where she made her home since.
Survivors include, her daughter, Lynette (Mark) Wilson, Oklahoma City, Okla.; two sons: Perry (Sheila) Nagel, Grand Forks; and Jeff (Kim) Nagel, Bismarck; four grandchildren: Tyler (Amber) Nagel, Bridgit Nagel, Alex Nagel, Barrett Wilson and Jesse Tran; a great-grandchild, Lux Nagel; six sisters, Lorraine Weikum, Elgin; Leona (Jim) Ulrich, Elgin; Luella Baesler, New Leipzig; Bernice (Lew) Thompson, Bismarck; Alverna (Clarence) Vietz, Lincoln; Delores (Meinhardt) Bader, Grand Forks; two brothers: Jake (Sharron) Wolf, Detroit Lakes, Minn.; and Rudy (Mary) Wolf, Bismarck.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Robert, two sisters, Bernetta Tietz and an infant sister, Claudina.
A memorial has been established for the St. Alexius Foundation c/o KDU Patient Fund, PO Box 5510, Bismarck, ND 58506.

Sharon passed away on Tuesday, Jan. 26, at Grady Memorial Hospital in Atlanta, Ga., following a valiant fight against a sudden and violent bout of pneumonia and stroke.
