Pamela Bair, 53, Fargo, died at home on Friday, April 9, 2004.

Pam was born on November 27, 1950 in Minnesota. She grew up and attended school in Fargo, graduating from Fargo North High School in 1969. Pamela Bair married Larry Schneekloth in South Dakota.

She is survived by her father, Frank Bair, Fargo.

Private Family Services will be held. No memorials are preferred.

Iverson, Norma

Norma M. Iverson, 82, of Fargo, ND, formerly of Kindred, ND died Monday, April 12, 2004 at MeritCare Hospital, Fargo, ND.

Norma was born in Kindred on May 14, 1921 to Nelius and Marie (Olson) Iverson. She was baptized and confirmed in the Gol Lutheran Church in Kindred, ND. She graduated from Kindred High School and then from St. Luke’s School of Nursing in 1942. She was employed as a Registered Nurse at St. Luke’s Hospital from 1942 to 1947. She was then employed at the Evanston Hospital, Evanston, IL from 1947 to 1954. She returned to St. Luke’s and worked as a head nurse in the Recovery Room for 27 years. She retired in 1982. She was a member of First Lutheran Church and active in it’s Rhoda Circle and Altar Guild. She was also a member of St. Luke’s Retired Employees and St. Luke’s Alumni Association. She is survived by a sister, Katherine Iverson and a brother, Ole (Joyce) Iverson, 4 nieces and 4 nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister Bergliot Mills.

Funeral will be held 1:00 on Thursday, April 15, 2004 at First Lutheran Church, Fargo, ND with burial following at Gol Lutheran cemetery, rural Kindred, ND.

Prayer Service at 7:00 pm on Wednesday, April 14, 2004 at Boulger Funeral Home, 123 10th Street South, Fargo, ND.

Visitation will be from 5 pm to 7pm on Wednesday, April 14, 2004 at Boulger Funeral Home, and one hour prior to the service at First Lutheran Church, Fargo, ND.

Thurlow, Lizell

Lizell Thurlow, 92, died April 13, 2004 at The Evergreens, Fargo, ND.

She was born to Harry and Louisa (Neiman) Bragg on September 19, 1911 on a farm east of Carrington, ND. She went to country school until the 6th grade and then because of her mother’s poor health, they moved to Fargo, ND. Her mother died in 1924 when Lizell was 13 leaving her with three younger siblings to care for. She then stayed in Fargo and did housework and babysitting with a family while finishing the 8th grade. She moved to Carrington and lived with the Hoffert family until she finished high school. Lizell worked as a telephone operator for Northwestern Bell for 8 years. On January 1, 1938 she married her dear husband, Richard Thurlow in Carrington, ND. They moved to Fargo, ND the next day. Lizell and Dick were charter members of the former American Lutheran Church now known as Peace Lutheran Church and Lizell was active there in the ladies aid, altar guild, and various volunteer activities for over 60 years. She enjoyed traveling in their motor home, summers at Pelican Lake and wintering in Arizona. For health reasons, on March 1, 2002 they moved to The Evergreens, which became a comfortable home for them.

She is survived by her husband Richard; children: Richard Patzer, Seattle, WA, Harry Thurlow, Fargo, ND, Romy (Norm) Behringer, Sun Lake, AZ, Joel (Phyllis) Thurlow, Fargo, ND; one brother, William (Luella) Bragg, Wahpeton, ND; Sisters-in-law: Marie Bragg, White Bear Lake, MN, Hazel Nystad, Griffeth, IN, Tillie Salsburg, Mandan, ND; brothers-in-law: Clinton (Grace) Thurlow and Clifford Thurlow, Carrington, ND, ten grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, one sister, Thelma Eilers; and one brother, Leonard Bragg.

Funeral will be at 2:00 pm on Friday, April 16, 2004 at Peace Lutheran Church, 1011 12th Avenue North, Fargo, ND. Burial to follow at Riverside cemetery, Fargo, ND.

Visitation will be from 6 pm to 8 pm on Thursday, April 15, 2004 at Boulger Funeral Home and one hour prior to the service at Peace Lutheran Church.

Flaherty, Catherine

Catherine Dahl Flaherty, infant daughter of Michael and Melissa Flaherty, Fargo, died April 12, 2004.

She is survived by her parents, Michael and Melissa Flaherty, Fargo; grandparents, Bruce and Terri Dahl, Fargo, and James and Ruth Flaherty, Fargo; and great grandparents, Vivian Dahl, Fargo, and Leonard and Dorothy Desplazes, Cando, ND.

The funeral will be Thursday at 5:30 p.m. in Church of the Nativity, Fargo.

Langdahl, Mark

Mark L. Langdahl, age 47, West Fargo, ND, died Monday, April 12, 2004, in Fargo.

Mark Lynn Langdahl was born August 31, 1956, in Fargo, ND, the son of Sigurd and Arloine A. (Bayman) Langdahl. The family lived in West Fargo. In 1958-59, the family moved to Bismarck, and then returned to West Fargo. He graduated from West Fargo High School in 1974. He graduated from Moorhead Technical College in 1976 with a degree in Sales & Marketing. He then worked as an inside salesman for Bearings and Drives, Interstate Bearings, and for the last year at Baldwin Supplies, all of Fargo.

He was an active member, player, and coach of the West Fargo softball program. He was a fan of car racing and Bison Athletics, and was an avid golfer.

Mark was a loving son, brother, uncle and friend. Mark had a kind, giving, and gentle heart and will be deeply missed by us all.

Mark was preceded in death by his mother, Arloine, and his beloved Pug, Kasey.

Mark is survived by his father, Sigurd of Fargo; sisters, Patricia McGinnis (Patrick) of Byron, MN, Kristi DeVary of Lakeville, MN; niece, Lindsay Decker (Rick) of Rochester, MN; nephews, Matthew McGinnis of Byron, and Ethan DeVary of Lakeville; and special friend, Judi Beringer of Moorhead; and numerous friends and relatives.

Funeral service will be held Friday at 2 p.m. in First Lutheran Church, Fargo. Visitation will be from 5-7 p.m. Thursday in Boulger Funeral Home, Fargo, with a prayer service at 7 p.m. Visitation will also be held in the church one hour prior to services.

Miller, Mary Ellen

Mary Ellen Miller, age 85, passed away Tuesday, April 13, 2004, in Eventide Lutheran Home, Moorhead, MN, after a lengthy battle with Alzheimers.

Mary Iverson, the daughter of Christine and Ingvold Iverson, was born on May 31, 1918 in Harlow, North Dakota. She grew up there and in the Kensal and Doyon, North Dakota areas. Mary attended school in Fargo and graduated from Fargo Central High School. She then attended Carthage College in Illinois. She worked at St. Mark’s Lutheran Church in Fargo, and also Yellowstone National Park and St. Petersburg. Mary Iverson married Herb Miller in 1948 in Fargo. They lived in Casselton for a time before returning to Fargo. In 1975 they moved to Sun City, Arizona. Mary has lived in Fargo since 1979. She worked at Krismar Gift Store in Block 6. Mary has been a resident of Eventide for the past nine years.

She is survived by her children, Daniel (Shelly) Miller, Menahga, MN, Joan (Darrel) Kaelberer, Hazen, ND, Jane (Thomas) Junkert, Barnesville, MN, and David (Shirley) Miller, Moorhead, MN; many special grandchildren; one sister, Avis Gjervold, Fargo, ND; one nephew, Rick (Karen) Gjervold, Fargo; and one niece, Ann (Ron) Mikalis, Vacaville, CA.

Funeral services will be held Friday at 3 p.m. in the Bottolfson Chapel in Eventide Lutheran Home, Moorhead. Visitation with the family will be one hour prior to services.

In lieu of flowers, memorials can be directed to Eventide Lutheran Home.

Lilleberg, Irvin

Irvin Macfarlane Lilleberg, age 89, of Hillsboro, North Dakota, passed away on Wednesday, April 14, 2004, at the Hillsboro Medical Center Nursing Home.

Irvin was born on November 26, 1914, in Cummings, North Dakota, the son of Marcus K. and Inga O. (Hegg) Lilleberg. He grew up on a farm northeast of Cummings and attended school in rural Cummings. He attended high school in Buxton, North Dakota, and attended Mayville State Teachers College. Irvin was united in marriage to Lillian A. Knudsvig of Buxton, North Dakota, on April 27, 1941, in Nielsville, Minnesota. The couple made their home and farmed east of Cummings until their retirement in 1977. They continued to live on the farm until 1996 when they moved to Hillsboro. Irvin entered the Hillsboro Nursing Home in October of 2000. Lillian passed away on December 18, 2002.

Irvin was active in his church and community. He served over 25 years on the Board of Directors for the Farmers Union Oil Company of Cummings, served many years on the Ervin Township Board, and was an active member of Highland Lutheran Church and served many years on the church Council and the Highland cemetery Board. While farming, he served on the Traill County ASCS Board for a number of years. He was involved in other community projects relating to schools and served on the planning committee for the building of Luther Memorial Home in Mayville, North Dakota. Irvin enjoyed serving his church family and community. He liked traveling, and gained satisfaction from watching his crops grow to harvest.

Irvin leaves behind his sons, Philip (Betty) of Billings, Montana; and Darrell (Deloris) of Cummings, North Dakota; his daughter, Laurel (Harlyn) Erickson of Galesburg, North Dakota; nine grandchildren; and nine great grandchildren; his brothers, Kenneth Lilleberg of Hillsboro; and Vernon (Edith) Lilleberg of Grand Forks, North Dakota.

He was preceded in death by his infant sister, Helen; his sister, Mildred; and brother, Harvey.

VISITATION: 5-7 PM Sunday at Wildeman Funeral Home in Hillsboro - and also one hour prior to the funeral in the church on Monday.

PRAYER SERVICE: 7 PM Sunday in Wildeman Funeral Home.

FUNERAL: 11 AM Monday, April 19, 2004, at Highland Lutheran Church, rural Cummings, North Dakota

BURIAL: Highland Lutheran cemetery, rural Cummings, North Dakota

Swift, Arthur

Arthur F. Swift, age 78, Staples, MN, formerly of Wendell, MN, died Friday, April 16, 2004, in MeritCare Hospital, Fargo, ND.

Arthur Swift was born February 23, 1926, in Wendell, MN, the son of Arthur T. Swift and Goldie Corwin Swift. He was raised in Wendell. Arthur was united in marriage to Dorothy M. Bullis on October 2, 1948. They raised 10 children together on the family farm near Wendell. Dorothy passed away in 1990. Arthur married Maureen McAllister in 1993. She passed away in 1996. He sold the family farm in 2000 and moved to Staples, where he resided until the time of his death. He wintered in Mission, TX, from 1993-2003.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Arthur T. Swift and Goldie Corwin Swift; one daughter, Margaret Ann; his wife Dorothy; and second wife Maureen.

He is survived by his best friend and companion of eight years, Dolores A. Johnson; nine children, Leanne Anderson (Ron) of Sioux Falls, SD, Julie Swift of Fergus Falls, MN, Nancy Blake of Fargo, Kristine Swift (Bruce) of Duluth, MN, Thomas Swift (Karen) of Fargo, Susan Wick of Kent, WA, Paul Swift of Moorhead, MN, Patty Johnson (Robyn) of Duluth, and Pamela Cales (John) of Athol, ID; one sister, Lois Johnson (Herb) of Cottonwood, AZ; 15 grandchildren; 8 great grandchildren; one niece; and one nephew.

Art will be remembered for all his years of farming and working construction while helping Dorothy raise nine children on the family farm, his favorite pasttime and love of dancing from the Eagles Club in Fergus Falls to the VFW in Wadena. He will be greatly missed by his family, relatives, and all those special friends in and around the Wadena/Staples area, his “Breakfast Club” buddies.

The funeral will be Monday at 11 a.m. in Boulger Funeral Home, Fargo. Visitation will be Sunday from 5-8 p.m. in Boulger Funeral Home, with a prayer service at 6:30 p.m. Burial will be in Wendell, MN.
