The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. William T. Mobley of Stedman. The groom’s parents are Mr. and Mrs. James Liby of Fayetteville.

The bride was escorted by her father. The matron of honor was the bride’s friend, Sarah Goebel of Fayetteville. The bridesmaids were Mina of Stedman; Penny McKinney of Hope Mills and Brennah Strange of Morrisville.

The best man was the groom’s brother, Michael Liby of Fayetteville. The groomsmen were Todd Mobley, Michael Mobley and David Mobley, all of Stedman; Mark Autry of Parkton; and Keith Owens of Augusta, Ga.

The bride received a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Campbell University in Buies Creek. She is a general clerk with the U.S. Postal Service in Fayetteville.

The groom is currently pursuing an associate’s degree in computer programming from Fayetteville Technical Community College. He is a computer consultant with TMP Worldwide in Raleigh.

After a honeymoon trip to Orlando, Fla., the couple settled in Stedman.

RALEIGH — Laura Diane Sanders of Fayetteville and Eric Peter Vancour of Hagerstown, Md., were married icon at 12:30 p.m. on December 29, 2001, at the Raleigh Temple of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. Earl Brock officiated.

The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Stephen MacRae Sanders of Fayetteville. The groom’s parents are Mr. and Mrs. Francis W. Vancour of Hagerstown, Md.

The bridesmaids were Rebecca Sanders, Sarah Sanders and Catherine Sanders, all of Fayetteville; Elizabeth Sanders of Provo, Utah; and Catie Vancour of Hagerstown, Md.

The groomsmen were Adam Vancour of Newnan, Ga.; Seth Vancour, Sean Vancour and Jeremy Vancour, all of Hagerstown, Md.; and Mark Sanders of Chapel Hill.

The bride is a graduate of E.E. Smith High School in Fayetteville. She currently attends Fayetteville Technical Community College. She is a receptionist for Lafayette Land Corp. in Fayetteville.

The groom is a graduate of Williamsport High School in Williamsport, Md. He is in the U.S. Army, stationed at Fort Bragg.

After a honeymoon trip to Nags Head, the couple settled in Fayetteville.

Mr. & Mrs. Hedgepeth

Flora B. Hedgepeth and Joseph E. Hedgepeth of Fayetteville celebrated their 64th wedding anniversary on January 27, 2002, with a family gathering at their home. Mr. and Mrs. Hedgepeth were married icon on January 29, 1938, in Dillon, S.C. They have five children, Wade Hedgepeth and spouse Sandra, Dwight Hedgepeth, Jonathon Hedgepeth, Jane Davis and spouse Bobby, and Mark Hedgepeth and spouse Kathy. The couple has six grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Adia Yvonne McEachin and J. LaMonte McEachin celebrated their first wedding anniversary on February 2, 2002, with dinner at Miyabi Kyoto Steak and Seafood House in Fayetteville. Mr. and Mrs. McEachin were married icon on February 2, 2001, in Fayetteville.

Frances Ann Miller and Walter “Pete” C. Miller of Fayetteville celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on February 9, 2002, with a reception at Mt. Carmel Pentecostal Holiness Church fellowship hall in Fayetteville. Mr. and Mrs. Miller were married icon on February 8, 1952, in Winchester, Va.

They have four children, Kurt Miller and spouse Bea of Phelan, Calif.; Susan Horne and spouse Rodney of Fayetteville; Lee Miller and spouse Jami of Fayetteville; and Rebekah El Gayar and spouse Wahid of Frederick, Md. The couple has 11 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

Agnes Hall Stephens and William Taft Stephens of Fayetteville celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on January 26, 2002, with a luncheon for family and friends at the Holiday Inn on Cedar Creek Road in Fayetteville. Mr. and Mrs. Stephens were married icon on January 22, 1952, at the Salemburg Baptist Church. They have two children, Donna Stephens Crabtree and spouse David of Harlem, Ga., and William Taft Stephens Jr. and spouse Wendy of Fuquay-Varina. The couple has four grandchildren.
