The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Timothy Monroe Capps of Fayetteville. The groom’s parents are Mr. and Mrs. Danny Morriss Nolan of Autryville.

The bride was escorted by her father. The maid of honor was the bride’s friend, Melissa Hawkins of Linden. The bridesmaids were Jennifer Ditmore of Linden, Carol Ann Clark of Lexington and Laura Wilhelm and Jennifer Johnson, both of Fayetteville. The flower girl was Sydney Nolan of Claremore, Okla. The ring bearer was Austin Capps of Columbia, S.C.

The best man was the groom’s father. The groomsmen were Patrick Nolan of Raleigh; Kurt Nolan of Claremore, Okla.; and Timothy Capps II and Craig Capps, both of Fayetteville.

The bride is a graduate of Pine Forest High School. She is currently attending Fayetteville Technical Community College.

The groom is a graduate of Cape Fear High School in Fayetteville. He received his associate’s degree in criminal justice from Fayetteville Technical Community College. He is an agent with the North Carolina Alcohol Law Enforcement Agency.

After a honeymoon trip to Orlando, Fla., the couple settled in Raleigh.

James Wright Gillis

Wendy Lynn Clinard of Raeford and James Wright Gillis of Fayetteville were married icon at 2 p.m. on December 29, 2001, at Galatia Presbyterian Church in Fayetteville. The Rev. Dr. Gene Miller officiated.

The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Myrl B. Clinard of Raeford. The groom’s parents are Mr. and Mrs. William K. Gillis of Fayetteville.

The bride was escorted by her father. The maid of honor was the bride’s niece, Randi Rowland of Raeford. The best man was the groom’s father.

The bride received her bachelor’s degree in computer science and electrical engineering from North Carolina State University in Raleigh. She is a process control engineer with Bayer Corp. in Clayton.

The groom received his associate’s degree in general agriculture from North Carolina State University in Raleigh. He is the co-owner/operator of DixieLand Farms in Fayetteville.

After a honeymoon trip to Poconos, Pa., the couple settled in Fayetteville.

Dejah Thoris DeJesus of Bremerton, Wash., and Jacob Daniel Henderson of Fayetteville were married icon at 4:30 p.m. on December 31, 2001, at the Fayetteville home of the groom’s parents. The Rev. Rich Vaughn officiated.

The bride is the daughter of Norma Welch Kelch of Bremerton, Wash., and Dan M. Kelch of Woodbridge, Va. She is the stepdaughter of Lia Kelch of Woodbridge, Va. The groom’s parents are Mr. and Mrs. Robert Michael Henderson of Fayetteville.

The bride is a graduate of Bremerton High School and attended Olympic Community College in Bremerton, Wash.

The groom is a graduate of Cape Fear Christian Academy in Erwin. He received his associate’s degree from the Community College of the Air Force and is currently a full-time student at Fayetteville State University. He is an afterschool care provider at Northwood Temple Academy.

After a honeymoon trip to Carolina Beach, the couple settled in Fayetteville.

The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. William Rodney Mooney of Atlanta. The groom’s parents are Mr. and Mrs. Daniel Richard Brown of Raeford.

The bride was escorted by her father. The maid of honor was the bride’s sister, Nicole Mooney of Atlanta. The bridesmaids were Michele Roach of Raleigh, Susan Shelton of New York City and Amy Brown of Raeford. The flower girls were Mackenzie Katherine Roach and Elizabeth Caroline Roach. The ring bearer was Jacob Clark Lyde.

The best man was Scott Michael of Chester, Va. The groomsmen were David Crockarell of Clarksville, Tenn., Blane Harrison of Fayetteville and David Harrison of Greenville.

The bride received her bachelor’s degree in psychology from the University of Alabama in Huntsville. She is employed by Acentron Technologies in Charlotte.

The groom received his bachelor’s degree in history from East Carolina University. He is employed by Acentron Technologies in Charlotte.

After a honeymoon trip to San Diego, Calif., the couple settled in Charlotte.

The bridesmaids were Margaret Waddell, Miriam Bowden, Ethel Evans, Angela Smith and Christian Robinson, all of Fayetteville; Shirley Peterkin Perry, Onnie B. Peterkin, Elizabeth Ray and Annie Murphy, all of Raeford; Jessie McPhaul of Washington, D.C.; Celica Tomlin of Brooklyn, N.Y.; Hazel Reed of Kinston; Gwen Moore Davis of Hope Mills; and Glentoria Foster of Wahiawa, Hawaii.

The junior bridesmaids were Tamisa McDonald and JaNicka Hodges, both of Fayetteville; Ski Peterkin, LaDarkus Lloyd, Uynick Peterkin, Crystal McCain and LaTonya Ray, all of Raeford; and Meyrounka Ross of Aberdeen. The flower girls were Teri Alston, Jalisha Mathis and JaQuittia McLaughlin, all of Fayetteville. The ring bearer was Troy Davis of Hope Mills. The bell ringer was Queria Peterkin of Raeford. The miniature bride was Sariah Foster of Wahiawa, Hawaii. The miniature groom was Erron Davis of Hope Mills. The bible carrier was LaQuest Peterkin of Raeford.

The best men were the groom’s son, James Peterkin Jr. of Raeford, and the groom’s brother, Kaire Peterkin of Brooklyn, N.Y. The groomsmen were Charles Robinson of Fayetteville; Gene Moore of Washington, D.C.; Willie Woods, Hervon McCollum, James Leach, Johnnie Peterkin, Adell Baldwin, Robert McRae, William Hollingsworth and Charles Barnes, all of Raeford; Spencer Foster of Wahiawa, Hawaii; Lonnie Black and George McPhaul, both of Red Springs; and William Peterkin of Orange, N.J.

The bride is a graduate of P.S. Jones High School in Washington. She is the owner/operator of M&J’s Day Care in Fayetteville.

The groom is retired from Burlington Mills in Raeford.

After a honeymoon trip to the Ocean Drive Resort in North Myrtle Beach, S.C., the couple settled in Fayetteville.
