The bride was escorted by her father. The maid of honor was the bride’s sister, Patton Smith of Greenville. The matron of honor was the bride’s cousin, Caroline Cash of Greensboro. The bridesmaids were Megan Baker of Mebane; Stephanie Bancroft of Orlando, Fla.; Carrie Carter of Raleigh; Kathie Gallina of Chapel Hill; Alissa Isaacs of Charlotte; and Megan Reed and Kelly Wrigglesworth, both of Durham. The flower girl was the groom’s cousin, Sarah Taylor of Jacksonville, Fla. The bridegroom’s parents are Dr. and Mrs. Jack Dale Brown Sr. and Mr. and Mrs. Bernard Eugene Brooks Jr., all of Fayetteville. He is the grandson of the late Mr. and Mrs. John Hill Brown Jr. and the late Mr. and Mrs. Jack Matthews.

She received a bachelor’s degree in communications from North Carolina State University in Raleigh where she was a member of Alpha Delta Pi Sorority. She received her teacher certification from Meredith College in Raleigh. The bride is a first-grade teacher with the Cumberland County Schools.
The bridegroom received is a graduate of Pine Forest Senior High School in Fayetteille. He received a bachelor’s degree in zoology and his doctorate of veterinary science from North Carolina State University in Raleigh where he was a member of Delta Sigma Phi fraternity. He is employed with Northgate Animal Hospital in Fayetteville.
After a honeymoon trip to Caneel Bay in St. John, U.S. Virgin Islands, the couple will live in Fayetteville.
