The bride is the daughter of Dr. and Mrs. Henry Zack Smith of Fayetteville. The groom’s parents are James Leon Lawrence Sr. of Myrtle Beach, S.C., and the late Dolores Taylor Lawrence

The bride was escorted by her father. The maid of honor was the bride’s sister, Patton Smith of Greenville. The matron of honor was the bride’s cousin, Caroline Cash of Greensboro. The bridesmaids were Megan Baker of Mebane; Stephanie Bancroft of Orlando, Fla.; Carrie Carter of Raleigh; Kathie Gallina of Chapel Hill; Alissa Isaacs of Charlotte; and Megan Reed and Kelly Wrigglesworth, both of Durham. The flower girl was the groom’s cousin, Sarah Taylor of Jacksonville, Fla. The honorary attendants were Blair Alligood of Fayetteville; Catherine Dunn of Raleigh; Pam Harrington of Virginia Beach, Va.; and Allison Sealander of Charleston, S.C.

The best man was the groom’s father. The groomsmen were Bob Alger of Cary; Mike Bove and Kevin Isaacs, both of Charlotte; Troy Hiebsch of Fort Collins, Colo.; Lance Jessup of Elizabethtown; Chris Matthews of Charleston, S.C.; Lee Minor of Virginia Beach, Va.; Michael Pleasant of Raleigh; and Darryl Zavodny of Atlanta. The honorary participants were Dr. Dana Haithcock and Dr. P.W. Jessup, both of Fayetteville.

The bride is a graduate of The Fayetteville Academy and the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. She is currently enrolled at Old Dominion University in Virginia.

The groom is a graduate of West Forsyth High School in Winston-Salem and the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. He is employed by Wachovia Bank in Norfolk, Va.

The couple plans to live in Norfolk, Va.

The junior bridesmaids were the bride’s nieces, Krystal and Katlin Barney, both of Garner. The flower girl was Brooke Satterfield of Creedmoor. The ring bearer was Andrew Satterfield of Creedmoor.

The best man was the groom’s father. The groomsmen were Stacey Bolton and Ashley Bunn, both of Fayetteville; Patrick Smith of Greenville; and Jamie Mills of Asheville.

The bride is a graduate of Cape Fear Senior High School in Fayetteville. She received a bachelor’s degree in marketing from the University of North Carolina at Wilmington. She is employed by Commonwealth Land Title of North Carolina.

The groom is a graduate of Cape Fear Senior High School. He received a bachelor’s degree in industrial relations from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. He is employed by Ferguson Enterprises Inc.

After a honeymoon cruise to the Caribbean, the couple plans to live in Fayetteville.

The bridegroom’s parents are Dr. and Mrs. Jack Dale Brown Sr. and Mr. and Mrs. Bernard Eugene Brooks Jr., all of Fayetteville. He is the grandson of the late Mr. and Mrs. John Hill Brown Jr. and the late Mr. and Mrs. Jack Matthews.

The bride was escorted by her brother, John William Hall, and given in marriage by her father. The maids of honor were Mary Catherine Kelly of Jacksonville, Fla., and Julia Reid Hartzoge of Raleigh. A reception, hosted by the bride’s parents, was held at the Greensboro Country Club after the ceremony.

The bride is a graduate of Page High School and was presented by the Debutante Club of Greensboro in 1995. She received a bachelor’s degree in communications from North Carolina State University in Raleigh where she was a member of Alpha Delta Pi Sorority. She received her teacher certification from Meredith College in Raleigh. The bride is a first-grade teacher with the Cumberland County Schools.

The bridegroom received is a graduate of Pine Forest Senior High School in Fayetteille. He received a bachelor’s degree in zoology and his doctorate of veterinary science from North Carolina State University in Raleigh where he was a member of Delta Sigma Phi fraternity. He is employed with Northgate Animal Hospital in Fayetteville.

After a honeymoon trip to Caneel Bay in St. John, U.S. Virgin Islands, the couple will live in Fayetteville.

The bridegroom’s parents are Mr. and Mrs. Robert Johns of Fremont, Ohio. The bridegroom is the grandson of Harvey Johns and Mr. and Mrs. Lyn Gobel, all of Fremont, Ohio.

The bride was escorted by her father. The maid of honor was Susan Tison of Cary. The bridesmaids were Brandi Baez of Toledo, Ohio; Kelly Mayo and Suzanne Gill, both of Wilmington; and Beth Snow of Fayetteville. The flower girls were Rachel Lensch and Julia Lensch, both of Wilmington. The ring bearer was the groom’s nephew, Carlos Baez Jr. of Toledo, Ohio.

The best man was John Frey of Fremont, Ohio. The groomsmen were Carlos Baez Sr. of Toledo, Ohio; Matthew Lagrou of Fremont, Ohio; Rocky Buehler of South Lyon, Mich.; and René Cruz of Tiffin, Ohio.

The wedding was directed by Terry Allan of Fayetteville. The wedding musicians were organist Chris King of Wilmington and soloists Mr. and Mrs. Tom King of Fremont, Ohio.

A reception, hosted by the bride’s parents, was held at the Hilton Wilmington Riverside after the ceremony.

The bride is a graduate of Pine Forest High School in Fayetteville and the University of North Carolina at Wilmington. She is employed with Sandusky County Department of Family Services in Fremont, Ohio.

The bridegroom is a graduate of Ross High School in Fremont, Ohio, and attended Ohio State University in Columbus, Ohio. He is employed with Millwood Inc. in Fremont, Ohio.

The couple took a honeymoon cruise to the Western Caribbean.
